Ang ngan sa biyudo gipugngan aron kaprotektahan ang identity sa dalagita.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) destroyed yesterday some P50 million worth of fake footwear products earlier seized in an anti-smuggling drive.

The smuggled items from China, consisting of 150,000 pairs of shoes and slippers, were shredded at the Port of Manila.

The knockoffs of popular brands such as Nike, Adidas, Converse, Skechers, Northface, Leaveland, Merelle, Lacoste, Vans, Havaianas and Ipanema were confiscated from Warehouse 4 in Olivarez Compound, Parañaque City.

Customs Commissioner John Sevilla said the owner of the goods failed to produce proof of payment of taxes, prompting them to padlock the warehouse.

“We will not allow the Philippines to be a dumping ground for counterfeit goods. The BOC will ensure that manufacturers and distributors of genuine brands are protected,” Sevilla said.

He appealed to the public not to patronize fake products.

Sevilla said the bureau’s Run-After-The-Smugglers or RATS continues to build up cases against importers and brokers involved in smuggling of imitation products. â€" Edu Punay

Remembering a childhood memory when a photograph of one is put in front of you is called “recognition.” Being able to draw or describe that memory when no image is present to prompt you is called “recall,” a more sophisticated process. A 2011 study published in Current Biology demonstrated that, like humans, monkeys also possess the capacity for both kinds of memory, and that it works in ways more similar than previously thought.

Study authors Benjamin M. Basile and Robert R. Hampton trained rhesus monkeys to see and reproduce simple shapes on a touch screen computer. They found that recall in humans and primates may have been an adaptive trait before human and rhesus lineages split from a common ancestor, and that monkey recall paralleled that of humans.

The first test to be developed for monkeys for distinguishing between recognition and recall had five rhesus monkeys presented with three boxes drawn on a grid. After a delay, they were shown the grid with only one box marked and the monkeys had to “draw” the remaining boxes by touching the correct coordinates on the grid, completing the image. Like humans, the monkeys had a more difficult time remembering shapes in recall tests than in recognition tests. Also like humans, this recall (once established) deteriorated more slowly over time than recognition. Si SPO2 Simplicio Gibo, desk officer sa Carmen Police Station, nagkanayon nga ang biktima ug ang suspek gikatahong nagpustaanay sa duwa nga “tagnatagna” sa serial number sa kwarta.

Apan luyo sa ilang pagkalingaw sa pustaanay sa tagnatagna, nagkalalis sila si Moral ug Caputol human gigisi niini ang kwarta nga ilang pusta.

Tungod sa ilang panaglalis nahitabo ang ilang sinukliay sa kumo nga nakapaukay sa mga residente sa lugar ug ilang mga higala.

Hinuon ang ilang sinumbagay naputol kay giuwang sila sa ilang mga higala hinungdan nga nipauli ang suspek.
