Wow! I just got back from watching a play called "Les Miserables". I went downtown with two other doctors from work and watched it at the Cadillac Theater. Awesome play!

My favorite character was Monsieur Jean Valjean!

Working in the hospital and dispensing the duties of that of a physician is a hard one. As one, there is a great burden on one's shoulder on the life of a patient. This is why its important to have a solid emotional support system.

In my wallet, I have the picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Prior to a surgery, prior to a major medical procedure that I take part in, I look into the Image of the Sacred Heart and usher a small prayer for guidance. And the strength to bear the things that I cannot change-- especially the death of a patient.

When I was a child? I cried to my mom and my dad. I was only 3 years old when my parents went abroad; si mommy ning adto sa USA, si daddy ning adto sa Saudi. So it was quite hard for me growing up in Bohol because my parents were gone for a significant period of time. I was practically raised by my grandparents. At night, i would cry to sleep and whisper , 'Mingaw ko nimo, Mommy...mingaw ko nimo, Daddy...'

When my mom surprised me in November 1990, I was shocked gajud. Because she told me and my sister that we all would be going to the USA with her and daddy. So, in a way, I am happy and grateful to God for granting my wish in having my family unified again.

As an adult? I cry to God. I frequent the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel at night. Where no one can see my cry, except my LORD GOD.

For the trials and tribulations that befell on me in 2007, the loss of my best friend. It was in the silent hours spent in the adoration chapel where my anguished heart that bled for the loss of my best friend-- was comforted by the Grace of the Holy Spirit.

The stress , the exhaustion, the mental and physical demands and stress of medical school took its toll on me. However, it was through the blessings of God that I survived medical school.

When I was studying for the board exams, when i felt inadequate and incompetent , i cried to God. But he always provided a way. He always provided a path for me to go through.

Even now, when I encounter a situation that is difficult, I will cry to God. God help me overcome this barrier to my life! And He vindicates me. He truly does make a way for me....

I'm leaning toward the Infiniti FX35 tho:

It's cross between SUV and luxury sedan. One thing I like about it is that it is All wheel drive, it has excellent mileage as well. I'm planning to stop by the Infiniti car dealership sometime this week to get a test drive. And to get the price specs.

I am contemplating about getting a new SUV. I think its time I get rid of my Mitsubishi Montero Sport for a newer SUV.

I was seriously considering getting the 2012 Land Rover LR4, but I am dissauded by the numerous reports of engine problems. So, I am now on the fence.

The other make and models that I am considering right now include:

1) Toyota 4 Runner
2) Nissan Pathfinder
3) Infiniti FX35
4) Volkswagon Touareg

One thing I like about Chinese women is their respect. Today while we were eating, I noticed one thing she did for me. She put ulam in my plate. We ordered Adobong manok, fried pusit, bicol express and steamed white rice. While I was drinking, I noticed that she took the initiative to put the ulam in my plate. Even before she put some in hers.

I could not help but smile. She's so very beautiful. Chinese-Filipina.
