Macks, sige na ipabuhagay na kay there's also "freedom of expression" in poetry!  Na intriga na hinuon ko dah!

And dugos sa katam-is gidim-dim,
diin mo ako imong gipaka-Bathala.
Nalawos kining kadan-ag,

We had the funeral service reception for Carole today at our church's chapel.  When I went there, there were 4 ladies, probably past 65 who were working for the meal.  I decided to stay because I thought I was just gonna drop off the food I made for the party.  I was really glad I did. I helped them prepare the food and the venue and later on wash the utensils and clean up the kitchen.  And most importantly, it lead me to know that our church has this Feed the Needy Program every Wednesday and that from 50 to 100 people go there to partake the meal.  I told the organizers I don't have money to donate but I will be helping from now in cooking and serving, whenever possible.

Beth, about Carole, I didn't make a fuss to her about my good intentions.  I don't think she would even remember my name except that she always reserve a seat for me beside her every Sunday at the mass - all these years.   She would probably remember today as one coming from the church and not personally from me.  I didn't even tell her what food I took there for them to eat.  She was happy and so are her family.  Her sister came to me and the other 4 ladies who were doing work in the kitchen that for a long time, that was the first time that their family was together.  They thanked us for making the event a wonderful one for them.

Here's a copy of the blog of Good Day Sacramento host, as shared to me by Alyssamarie/smiffy.  Hurray, Jollibee, here we come! :)

Welcome Jollibee!

Posted by Moderator
Tina and I had the pleasure of attending the blessing of the Jollibee restaurant in South Sacramento over the weekend. We are so proud of this restaurant because it’s very popular in the Philippines. Jollibee is like the McDonalds of the Philippines. They serve spaghetti with a sweet sauce and hot dogs. They also serve a delicious fried chicken. In pure Pinoy fashion, they had a priest recite a prayer and bless the business with holy water. Tina and I threw coins to the crowd for good luck. There was also a Jollibee mascot who danced for our entertainment. We are very proud of a piece of our heritage making its way to Sacramento. If you have a chance to visit Jollibee, it is located in Seafood City on Mack Road. Enjoy!

I have been to a lot of Catholic religious retreats back when I was still in the Philippines and the best place was at the Monastery of Transfiguration in Malaybalay, Bukidnon.  Not only did I go there for religious retreats but also just to simply "retreat" from the hustle and bustle of the big city.  The place was a perfect place to commune with God.  So solemn, so simple and so peaceful.  So placid.

There was one time, a Friday afternoon, after a very hectic week at work, I just drove up to the mountains of Bukidnon and went straight to the Monastery.  The monks accept me there like I am their lost ship.  I slept and slept but mid day the next day, one of my friend monks, Dom Joseph, knocked my window and told me that there was a prayer meeting at the chapel.  I dragged myself up, had lunch and went to the chapel.  Oh, that was so beautiful but what I enjoyed most was during vespers.   I remember I used to sit in the garden after the vespers and all I hear was the chirping of the birds and crickets and just the stars to light the sky.  I felt so secured. When our surrounding is quiet, God speaks in our hearts clearly.

I myself can not afford them, they are too expensive at $250 a piece for just a handbag. I have samples of Cavalli and Bricks from supplier, but it is half the bag. That means the other half is scissored/cut off; it is just for just quality presentation.

This product needs niche marketing since it is a high end product. Our company opened exclussive shop in malls and extensive branding awareness. During launching of this product, we hired russian promo girls who looks like Italians to serve sandwiches, Italian pastries and drinks at the showrooms in Dubai. We placed a shiny Itallian scooter as props of the display. The best attraction we made is an Italian violinist serenading our guests. Our objective is to create an Italian atmosphere inside our shop since the products are Italian.

Ngek!  Kasayang sa bag gipikas man diay! For a Cavalli, 250 is not that bad kay kasagaran average ug 500 dollars.  Oh well.  Outrageous na jud na na kantidad.  I have a friend whose sister went for a European tour last week.  Gi surprise akong friend gipabuhatan ug Italian bag from the manufacturer jud mismo with my friend's initial!  I wish I also had one!
