Cocoa powder isn't just for drinking or making
cakes with. It's a very good facial mask for
old, dry skin that has slightly weathered through
the years.
For a facial mask for dry skin, add enough dairy
cream and a little olive oil to about 2 cups or
less of cocoa powder to make a dough that's
easily pliable and not runny or too stiff. It should
be thick enough consistency so that you can
apply it all over your face much as you would
do on any facial mask like mud pack. The addi-
tion of olive oil helps to give a greater elasticity
and prevents it from drying out too soon or be-
coming somewhat cakey.
Now 2 cups plain, dry cocoa powder yield
slightly over 2 tbsp. fat, of which about 10-12%
is linoleic acid. Add to this approximately 3 tbsp.
olive oil, which gives additional 12% or so of li-
noleic acid, and you have a facial mask con-
taining at least of 25% linoleic acid, not to men-
tion what the dairy cream is apt to provide as
well. Remember my posting about linoleic acid?
With the cream, the total linoleic acid content
can be expected to be near 30% for that matter.
Why all the fuss over linoleic acid? Simply
because it's one of the ingredients to healthier,
more youthful looking and lovelier skin.
Guess what? the main nutrient which gives
baby's skin such a nice, smooth, suubtle,
almost velvety softness, is none other than li-
noleic acid. Why did Cleopatra bath herself
with milk, it's because of linoleic acid. That's
Cleopatra's beauty secrets for her ravishing
beauty.
Remember what I said before in my posting
regarding alpha lipoic acid- ?the best source
among them all is milk because of its high
content of linoleic acid . Alpha lipoic acid
helps lines, wrinkles, under eye-puffiness,
acne scars and enlarged pores disapear.

ayaw gajud ka ma-blackmail ka! Make  a compromise to control his behavior and not the other way around.  Try to spend quality time with your son. Introduce him to painting, play a musical instrument, story telling thru puppets, go swimming with him, show the animals in zoo, then buy books to compare what he has seen.

LUPUS

Some researchers believe that faulty genes are
the ultimate culprit behind this disorder, but that
the outside factors can trigger it. Substances
that are common contributing factors include
chemicals, environmental pollutants, food addi-
tives, and some foods
There are two types of lupus: systemic lupus
erythematosus (SLE) and discoid lupus erythe-
matusus ( DLE). I'm going to discusss only the
SLE because it is a systemic disease that
affects many different parts of the body. The
severity can range from mild to life threatening.
The first symptoms of many cases of SLE re-
semble those of arthritis, with swelling and pain
in the fingers and other joints. The disease may
also appear suddenly with acute fever. The cha-
racteristic red rash may appear across the cheeks;
there may also red, scaling lesions elsewhere on
the body. Sores may form in the mouth. Other
symptoms can include abdominal pain and chest
pains, blood in the urine, fatigue, hair loss, loss
of appetite, low grade fever, nausea, poor circula-
tion in the fingers and toes, shortness of breath,
ulcers, vomiting, and weight loss.
Approximately 50% of those with SLE develop
nephritis, inflammation of the kidneys. In serious
cases, the brain, lungs, spleen or the heart may
be affected.SLE can cause anemia and inflamma-
tion of the surface of the membrane of the heart
and lungs. It can also cause excessive bleeding and
increased susceeptibility to  infection. If the central
nervous system is involved, amnesia, deep depres-
sion, seizures,and stroke maybe present.
According to the American Rheumatism Association,
four of the following eight symptoms must occur,
either serially or at the same time, before a diagnosis
can be made: 1.- abnormal cells in the urine, 2.- arthritis
3.- butterfly rash on the cheeks, 4.- low white blood cell
count, low platelet count, or hemolytic anemia
5.- mouth sores ,6.- seizures or psychosis ,7,-sun
sensitivity, 8..- the presence in the blood of a specific
antibody that is found 50 percent of people with lupus.
A kidney biopsy is needed to diagnose lupus related
nephritis.
Here's some recommendations: Eat a diet low in fat,
salt, and animal protiens- this kind of diet keeps the
immune system from being overly reactive and is easy
on the kidneys. Use only canola or olive oil. Consume
sardines often; they are good source of essential fatty
acids. Eat eggs, garlic and onions. These foods con-
tain sulfur, which is needed for repair and rebuilding of
bone, cartilage, and connectiive tissues, and aids in
the absorption of calcium. Avoid nightshade vegetables
(eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, white potatoes). These
foods contain a substance called solanine, which can
contribute to inflammation and pain. Include in the diet
brown rice, fish, green leafy vegetables, nonacidic fresh
fruits, oatmeal, and whole grains.
Try to avoid fluorescent lighting in both the home and
the workplace. Exposure to fluorescent lightings can
aggravate lupus symptoms. If possible remove all
fluorescent and halogen lighting and replace them with
incandescent bulbs.
Avoid strong sunlight and use protection from the sun.
Protect your skin by applying sunscreen product with
an SPF 15 or higher. Go out in the sun only when ne-
cessary. Wear a wide brimmed hat and clothing that
would adequately cover exposed skin.
Avoid large groups of people and those with colds or
other viral infections. Autoimmune diseases such as
lupus render an individual more susceptible to viral
infections.
Avoid using birth control pills. They may cause
lupus to flare up. Use hypoallergenic soaps and
cosmetics. Some deodorant soaps and other toiletry
items may contain ingredient that will increase your
sensitivity to light.
Get plenty of rest and regular exercise that promotes
muscle tone and fitness.

EIFFEL TOWER Is 120 years old!
Why Was The Eiffel Tower Built?

The Eiffel Tower was built for a variety of reasons. The main reason for its design and construction was for the World Exhibition (also known as the Paris Exposition of 1889) commemerating the 100 year aniversery of the French Revolution in Europe. The French Revolution was an important event in French history that attempted to eliminate dictatorships and divine right kings and to create a more democratic government. Many of the French officials and people wanted to remember the 100 year aniversary by improving the quality of Paris and France. Many proposed that the building of new and beautiful buildings would be a good way to commerate the 100 year aniversary. All throughout France, many engineers and designers submited designs and ideas for new ways to improve France. Of the many ideas, Gustave Eiffel's design of the Eiffel Tower caugh some of the most attention.

Its grandeur design and unique structure served as an exemplary building idea for the Paris Exposition. Thus, after years of deliberation and design, in 1889 the Eiffel Tower was built and completed.

Another reason the Eiffel Tower was built was for its promising nature of a scientific research. The Eiffel Tower with its great height could be great for experiments in pressure, temperature and radio telography. In fact, the main reason the Eiffel Tower was here today is because of it use as a radio transmission tower. Twenty years after the lease for the Eiffel Tower had expired, many wanted to demolish it for scrap metal. However, scientists and politicians wanted to keep the building for its use as a radio tower.

Finally, another reason the Eiffel Tower was built was to establish a history that exemplified the purpose of the Paris Exposition. The Eiffel Tower during that time would have been the tallest buidling in all of the world. This motivated many leaders in France to pursure this design and to erect the building.

A Medical Problem
An old woman came into her doctor's office and confessed to an embarrassing problem. "I fart all the time, Doctor Johnson, but they're soundless, and they have no odor. In fact, since I've been here, I've farted no less than twenty times. What can I do?"

"Here's a prescription, Mrs. Harris. Take these pills three times a day for seven days and come back and see me in a week."

Next week an upset Mrs. Harris marched into Dr. Johnson's office. "Doctor, I don't know what was in those pills, but the problem is worse! I'm farting just as much, but now they smell terrible! What do you have to say for yourself?"

"Calm down, Mrs. Harris," said the doctor soothingly. "Now that we've fixed your sinuses, we'll work on your hearing!!!"

I-google palihug, no Germans would ever dare to talk to a topic like this, Inday Kiams ayaw kasoko ha?

ps
Just put into mind how Mossad worked meticulously to have him captured.

Karl Adolf Eichmann (March 19, 1906–May 31, 1962), sometimes referred to as "the architect of the Holocaust", was a Nazi and SS-Obersturmbannführer (equivalent to Lieutenant Colonel). Due to his organizational talents and ideological reliability, he was charged by Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich with the task of facilitating and managing the logistics of mass deportation of Jews to ghettos and extermination camps in Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe. After the war, he travelled to Argentina using a fraudulently obtained laissez-passer issued by the International Red Cross[1][2] and lived there under a false identity working for Mercedes-Benz until 1960. He was captured by Israeli Mossad operatives in Argentina and tried in an Israeli court on 15 criminal charges, including crimes against humanity and war crimes. He was convicted and hanged in 1962.

Slur vs Hong Kong Pinays sparks outrage
By Delon Porcalla Updated March 29, 2009 12:00 AM

A screenshot of the website of  HK Magazine that sparked outrage among
Filipinos for reportedly calling the Philippines a 'nation of servants.'
MANILA, Philippines - A congresswoman yesterday called on a Hong Kong
magazine to apologize to the Philippine government for offensive and
defamatory comments on Filipinos in an article on the country’s claim
over the Spratly islands which China also claims.

Akbayan Rep. Risa Hontiveros voiced strong protest over the article of
Chinese writer Chip Tsao published in the HK Magazine of the Asia City
Publishing Group, where he called the Philippines a “nation of
servants.”

In his article, Tsao protested the Philippine claim over the Spratlys,
urging his compatriots not to bow to the Philippines because there are
“more than 130,000 Filipina maids working as $3,580-a-month cheap labor
in Hong Kong.”

“As a nation of servants, you don’t flex your muscles at your master,
from whom you earn most of your bread and butter,” Tsao said in his
article.

He also mentioned that he employs a Filipina domestic helper named
Louisa and warned her that should a war erupt, “I would have to end her
employment and send her straight home, because I would not risk the
crime of treason for sponsoring an enemy of the state by paying her to
wash my toilet and clean my windows 16 hours a day.”

“With that money, she would pay taxes to her government, and they would
fund a navy to invade our motherland and deeply hurt my feelings,” Tsao
added.

“I sternly warned her that if she wants her wages increased next year,
she had better tell every one of her compatriots in Statue Square on
Sunday that the entirety of the Spratly Islands belongs to China,” Tsao
wrote.

The Chinese writer likewise said the Philippines should stop threatening
China.

“The Philippines may have a Barack Obama and the hawkish American
military behind them, but we have a hostage in each of our homes in the
Mid-Levels or higher. Some of my friends told me they have already
declared a state of emergency at home. Their maids have been made to
shout ‘China, Madam/Sir’ loudly whenever they hear the word ‘Spratly.’
They say the indoctrination is working as wonderfully as when we used to
shout ‘Long Live Chairman Mao,’ at the sight of portrait (sic) of our
Great leader during the Cultural Revolution,” Tsang said in his article.

Hontiveros took strong offense at this and said the magazine should
apologize immediately.

“This disgusting, derogatory, and vile remark can only come from
dim-witted and mediocre writing. The magazine should apologize
straightaway. The article reflects the kind of attitude that promotes
abuses against Filipina workers,” Hontiveros said.

She said Tsao’s story should not have been published, owing to its
defamatory nature characterized by racial discrimination against
Filipinos in general, and domestic helpers in particular.

“Chip Tsao should find another profession. He should leave the Spratlys
issue to the diplomats and writing to real writers because clearly he
has neither competence nor talent in foreign affairs and in writing,”
Hontiveros added.

“When you make fun of a particular group, you expose them to abuses.
Wittingly or unwittingly, you end up supporting acts of intolerance and
abuses,” she added.

“Filipina domestic workers should hold a one-day strike to tell the
likes of Chip Tsao who’s the real master of the HK economy. If all
Filipino workers in HK would strike, the HK economy would grind to a
halt without us having to invade the territory,” she said.

She said Filipinos are not asking for political correctness, just
professional treatment.

“Domestic work is a decent job. It’s not just done by hired Filipina
domestic workers, it has also been the function of mothers of all
nationality, in Hong Kong and China and elsewhere. It should be treated
with respect,” she said, adding that by insulting Filipina domestic
workers Tsao has also insulted his own mother.

protektahan natin ang mga torista kay helpful din sila sa ating pag-unlad

Hallo Uding,

I would like to comment on this line, I´m a resident of Germany since  1981, I obey the rules, learn the language and pay my taxes dutifully.
Tourists or foreigners are expected to pay also due respect and work on the existing social conditions. We have lots of foreigners living in Bohol, who are in harmony with the Bol-anons. I mean we should treat each other in equal footing, not lesser because we are not inferior to any persons regardless of nationality. My honest opinion.

Beauty tips;
Women have thinner skin than men because
testosterone - the dominant male hormone-
caused male skin to be thicker.  In addition,
women's oil glands secrete slightly less than
men's; therefore, women are more likely to
experience dry skin.
Dry skin tends to be dull-looking, even scaly
and flaky, and readily develops wrinkles and
fine lines. Sometimes it might be primarily a
genetic condition but it may be caused or
aggravated by a poor diet and by environmental
factors such as exposure to sun, wind, cold,
chemicals or cosmetics, or excessive bathing
with harsh soaps, nutritional deficiencies of
vitamin A and B vitamins. Most people's  skin
tends to become thinner and drier as they get
older.
Here's the do's and don'ts  rules for dry skin.
Don't wash your face with harsh soaps ever.
Don't use grainy cleansing products or buffing
pads. Don't forget to apply an SPF 15 sunscreen
to your face, neck, and chest everyday.
Dry skin needs a gentle cleanser. There are
plenty to try: There are superatted soaps-
often called beauty bars - that contain emollients
such as olive oil or lanolin, and there are milky
liquid cleanser and tissue off cleansing creams.
In the morning just splash your face with water.
In the evening you can use the superfatted clean-
sing bar. The drier your skin, the more hydrating
ingredients your moisturizer should could contain.
Pick a product formulated with glycerin hyalu-
ronic acid, or dimethicone. These ingredients
slow down moisture loss during the day, pre-
venting further dehydration, Or just slather your
face with olive oil ( of course avoid this treatment
if you're prone to acne). Use olive oil as a before
bed treatment.
Cocoa butter is a good skin cream and is not
expensive, It also helps reduce skin wrinkling.
Keep it in the refrigerator after opening.
Once a week, use a facial mask , use one
teaspoon green clay powder -(available in the
health food store) and one teaspoon raw honey.'
Blend them together and apply the mixture to
your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave it on
for 15 minutes, then rinse well with lukewarm
water. While your skin is still damp, apply,
your liquid moisturizer. The facial mask will
clarify the skin and remove dull, dry surface
skin cells.
A group of acids known as alpha-hydroxy
acids, applied topically. help to stimulate
production of these naturally occurring subs-
tance. Alpha-hydroxy acids, also encourage
formation of new skin cells. These acids occur
naturally in grapes, apples, milk, sugar cane,
citrus fruits, tomatoes and blackberries. Of
the alpha-hydroxy acids, the lactic acids
appears to be the best for improving moistu-
riztion, while glycolic acid is more effective
at sloughing off dead skin cells and promoting
cell renewal.
Milk is packed with lactic acid, the most effec-
tive alpha hydroxies of them all as it could add'
glow to your skin. Lemon juice or calamansi
juice helps boost collagen and elastin as they
contain vitamin C and also helps strengthen
the capillaries that feed the skin.  You can
combine milk with either calamansi juice
or lemon juice and apply to your face and neck
and chest and same procedure with the facial
mask.
Collagen cream- is good for a very dry skin. A
nourishing cream that can restore a healthy
tone to damaged skin.
Elastin- Helps prevent and smooth wrinkles.
Eat a balanced diet that includes vegetables,
fruits, grains, seeds and nuts. Eat quality pro-
tein from vegetables like soybeans, tofu, beans
and lentils. Increase your intake of raw foods.
Eat foods high in sulfur, which helpsto keep
the skin smooth and youthful. Good sources
include garlic, onions, eggs, and asparagus.
Consume plenty of yellow and orange vegetables.
These are high in beta carotene, a precursor of
vitamin A.
Use oil-based foundations and cream or cream-
powder blushers- the oil they contain will help
soften fine lines and wrinkles.

Heart attacks are directly related to a number of
other conditions, such as arteriosclerosis, circu-
latory problems, hypertension ( high blood pressure),
high cholesterol, and cardiovascular disorders
(including aneurysm, angina pectoris, and arrythymias).
It is highly recommended that at least one person in
every household receive thorough training in CPR if one
of the members of the family had previous heart attack.
If you have suffered a heart attack, or if you are consi-
dered at risk for a heart attack, modify your diet. Impor-
tant dietary meassures include:
*Make sure your diet is high in fiber. Not all types of
fiber decrease the risk of heart attack, however. The
most beneficial fiber appears to come from whole-
grain breakfast cereals.
*Eat lots of food that are rich in Vitamin B-6, and B-12
and folic acid, which are needed to keep homocysteine
levels in check. Vitamins B-6 and B-12 come naturally
from green leafy vegetables and fruits. Folic acid can
be found in some breakfast cereals, asparagus, spi-
nach, chickpeas, and beans.
* Include almonds, brewer's yeast, grains,sesame
seeds ( binangkal once in a while) in your diet.
*Enjoy onions frequently- especially red onions -
they contain valuable antioxidants. Chop them and
allow them to stand for ten minutes before cooking
for optimal benefit.
*Add kelp and sea vegetables ( latu, gosoo) to
your diet for necessary minerals. Drink fresh vege-
table juices ( carrot, cabbage and celery).
*Do not eat red meat, salt, sugars, or white flours.
A diet high in red meat can elevate homocysteine
levels. Eat soy-based protein foods ( like tofu).Soy
protein can effectively lower high LDL (bad ) choles-
terol levels.
*Eliminate fried foods, coffee, black tea ( except
green tea), colas, and other stimulant from the diet.
*Refrain from excessive alcohol use, as it has an
adverse effect on the heart. Drinking red wine in
moderation may actually be heart-healthy.
*Sip barley water throughout the day for its healing
and fortifying properties
*Fast three days a month to cleanse and detoxify
the body.
*To relieve stress and promote relaxation, add a
few drops of lavender, sandalwood or ylang ylang
essential oil to a bath (Just add a few drops of
this in your tumbler or taboo with water and pour
in your body), or simply place a few drops on a
tissue and inhale the aroma from time to time
throughout the day.
*Do not smoke. Avoid secondhand smoke.
Studies have shown that those who are taking
supplement of coenzyme Q-10 following a heart
attack are less likely than those who did not to
have a second heart attack within five years.
Coenzyme Q-10 improves heart muscle oxy-
genation.
*Cayenne ( capsicum), ginger root, and gingko
biloba strengthen the heart and are helpful for
chest pain,
*Green tea has superb antioxidant properties.
Drinking 10-20 cups a day can provide protec-
tion against heart disease and many other ill-
nesses.
*Turmeric contains curcumin, anti-inflammatory
that also lowers blood cholesterol.
*Alpha-lipoic Acid- is super antioxidant that
can prevent inflammatory reactions in the body
and slow the onset of illnesses such as Alzhie-
mer's disease, heart disease and arthritis. It
can also help regulate blood sugar and the
beauty of it --lines, wrinkles,, under-eye puffi-
ness, acne scars, and enlarged pores can
disappear. This universal antioxidant is extra-
ordinarily powerful. It is 400 times more stronger
than vitamin C and E and raises the levels of
these two vitamins in the body. If this is applied
topically incorporated in facial creams, it helps
prevent premature aging and skin damage.
HOMOCYSTEINE - is an amino acids that has
a toxic effect on cells lining the arteries and
makes the blood more prone to blood clotting
and promotes bad cholesterol (LDL). Increase
levels of homocysteine  may increase the risk
of cardiovascular disease which could lead to
heart attack.

Weight Loss Plan

A man calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 lb. weight loss program.

The next day, there's a knock on the door and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck.

She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company.

The sign reads, "If you can catch me, you can have me."

Without a second thought, he takes off after her.

A few miles later huffing and puffing, he finally gives up.

The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens.

On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lbs. as promised.

He calls the company and orders their 5-day/20 pound program.

The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning and beautiful woman he has ever seen in his life.

She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, "If you catch me you can have me."

Well, he's out the door after her like a shot.

This girl is in excellent shape and he does his best, but no such luck.

So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape.

Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 20 lbs. as promised.

He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day/50 pound program.

"Are you sure?" asks the representative on the phone. "This is our most rigorous program."

"Absolutely," he replies, "I haven't felt this good in years."

The next day there's a knock at the door; and when he opens it he finds a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads,"If I catch you, you are mine!!!"

He lost 63 pounds that week.

it is an email but real funny, I sent it to some Forum members and they suggested it to share to all;

Spaghetti

For several years, a man was having an affair with an Italian woman.
One night, she confided in him that she was pregnant. Not wanting to ruin
his reputation or his marriage, He paid her a large sum of money if she
would go to Italy to secretly have the child. If she stayed in Italy to
raise the child, he would also provide child support until the child
turned 18.

She agreed, but asked how he would know when the baby was born.
To keep it discrete, he told her to simply mail him a post card, and
write 'Spaghetti' on the back. He would then arrange for the child support
payments to begin.

One day, about 8 months later, he came home to his confused wife.

'Honey, 'she said, 'You received a very strange post card today.'

'Oh, just give it to me and I'll explain it later,' he said. The wife

obeyed and watched as her husband read the card, turned white, and fainted.

On the card was written:

'Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti.
Three with meatballs, two without.

Send extra sauce. ;D

Going to the issue of english in Pinas, I think we have less facilities to widen our english knowledge like, books, magazines, DVD, etc.
Most of our teachers are less motivated for being poorly paid.
I remember my english teacher in Pasay City high ( now East), Ms Velasco had a rolled paper, with the daily practice of phonetics, say for example;
boat-bought
soap-soup
binocular-vernacular
genes-jeans
lead(v)-lead(metal)
I was toying the idea of a bus with truckloads of reading materials for far flung schools, for children maybe some give aways, this project is good for a foundation which might be based anywhere. Books which i s not needed anymore here abroad, just like what Jun Ayag did in Anda ( Grace donated promptly).

Mga higala kini ako a nga thread gikan sa pikas nga Forum, siya si Alice Calo retired nurse from New York, who hails from Butuan city. She posts great infos about everything, that is really interesting like this;

Many people with cancer have achieved good
results with a  macrobiotic diet. Fresh raw
cabbage and carrot juice have been proven
to have an excellent result used by Dr. Hans
Nieper, a German Physician and Cancer Spe-
cialist.
Various types of mushrooms can be a good
source of vitamin D, B-1 ( thiamine), B-2 ( ri-
boflavin), B-3 (niacin), minerals and amino
acids. They have the ability to enhance the
immune system T-cells that seek and, destroy
cancer cells. Shitake, zhu-ling, enoki, reishi,
and maitake mushrooms have been reported
to have anti-cancer properties.
Exceptionally low cholesterol have been asso-
ciated with an increased risk of dying from can-
cer, possibly because people with lower cho-
lesterol tend to consume more polyunsaturated
fats, which may increase cancer risk.
Genistein and diadzein, these two isoflavonoids
found in soy act as antioxidants and may protect
against most forms of cancer, especially prostate
cancer, breast cancer, leukemia and bladder can-
cer. Mega Soy Formula from Prolongevity is a
good supplement that contains ssubstantial amount
of genstein and other isoflavones that fight cancer.
D-glucaric acid, a phytochemical found in broccoli,
brussel sprouts, and cauliflower, has shown evidence
in severral clinical studies of reducing the incidence
of the breast, lung, liver, and skin. It is also available
in supplement form with calcium (calcium d-glucarate) .
Calcium may prevent precancerous cells from beco-
ming cancerous.
Early findings suggest that daily exposure  to a limited
amount of sunlight ( a good source of vitamin D) may
reduce the risk of breast, colon, and prostate cancers.
Nutritional supplements and dietary habits offer great
support to cancer patients who are receiving chemo-
therapy/radiation, or who are on remission.
Most chemotherapy medications destroy normal cells
in the process, causing side effects including hair loss,
extreme nausea, vomiting, fatigue,, weakness, sterility,
and damage to the kidneys and heart. Certain nutrients
may help the body avoid some of the damage done by
this treatment, among them vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine) ,
coenzyme Q-10, glutathione, and vitamin C.
Spices such as cardamon, cayenne pepper, ginger,
rosemary, sage, thyme, and turmeric have anti-cancer
properties.

Unusual pink Iguana.January 5, 2009â€"A new species of Galápagos iguana has scientists tickled pink.

The pink iguana, named after its salmon-colored skin, lives only on the Wolf volcano on the island of Isabela.

Charles Darwin did not visit the volcano on his travels to the Ecuadorian island chains in the 1830s, so the creature remained undiscovered until 1986, when it was spotted by park rangers. Only now has it been recognized as its own species.

Gabriele Gentile, of Rome's University Tor Vergata, and colleagues are the first team to research and document the iguana, which will receive a formal scientific name in an upcoming paper.
