Inspiration & Hope / Finding the Cure
July 31, 2013, 03:20:00 PM
Written by  Keith Phillips

Imagine that there’s a sure and simple cure for loneliness, anxiety, fear, depression, insecurity, anger, hatred, bitterness, or whatever else might ail you. Now imagine that the same cure could also help you live a healthier, more vibrant life. Imagine that it could, in fact, make it possible for you to live forever. Now imagine that same miracle cure was equally effective in combating social ills and every interpersonal conflict from sibling rivalry to war between nations. Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it?

Next, if I were to tell you that such a cure not only existed but was freely available to anyone and everyone, wouldn’t you want it for yourself and those dearest to you? Wouldn’t you want it for everyone?

Well, such a cure does exist, because God exists and it’s within His power to give us all these things and more. He has also made a way for anyone anywhere, regardless of race, color, creed, or social standing, to tap into that power. It all begins with a personal relationship with Him, which He has also made freely available through His Son, Jesus.

So if you have found Jesus, you have found it allâ€"the key to happiness, better health, heavenly help with the problems of this life, and Heaven forever in the life to come! And if you haven’t found Jesus yet, you can right now by simply saying a prayer in your own words, inviting Him into your life.

Let Jesus prove to you how down-to-earth real He is, how much He loves you, how concerned He is about your happiness, and to what lengths He will go to help you be all you can be.

Once you’ve experienced God’s cure-all, you won’t be able to keep it to yourself. You’ll want to share what you’ve found with others.

Inspiration & Hope / Re: Squirrel Power
July 31, 2013, 11:12:35 AM

As I looked up at the squirrel, now merrily running on the branches, I knew that the Lord had answered my prayer. It was not a great big spectacular miracle, but just the chattering of a little squirrel that told me that the same God who took care of him was going to take care of me as well.

I knew then what I'd been missing. I had been so busy looking at my problemsâ€"measuring the distance between the treesâ€"that I was afraid to just let go and sail across to the other side. For a little while I had lost my faith in my Maker, my Savior, my Best Friend.

He ran up and down the tree a few times, squealing frantically. Then he stopped and eyed the distance, crouched down, and before I knew it, he had leaped! Way out! He was sailing through the airâ€"and for a minute I wanted to turn my eyes from what I thought was surely going to end in tragedy.

But no! Not only did he fly across that immense span, but he landed on the other tree with the grace and glory that only comes from knowing one is meant to do such things. He chattered in victory and scampered up to the top, as if to his reward!

My squirrel chose that moment to change tactics. Instead of running up and down the trees, he started hopping from one tree directly onto another. He jumped over to what looked like the last tree in the line, and then looked up and ahead at a tree that was at the far end of the grove. He seemed to be deliberating.
I mentally measured the distance between trees and it seemed to me that the one at the end was definitely at least two or even three times the distance that he'd previously been jumping. "You can't be serious, little fellow!" I whispered. But he was not looking for my advice. He had dared and won the first few rounds, but here was a massive challenge. What was he going to do?

Looking out onto the neighboring grove, with the beautiful trees swaying in the slight summer breeze, I thought about other times of discouragement I'd been through. I remembered that the Lord had always done something to encourage me. But there's always a first time! I thought in despair.

That's when I noticed a little squirrel squeaking away as he climbed up and down the trees. I watched as he went up one and then down and up again. I envied the little fellow who looked like he was having such fun, without a care in the world. Meanwhile, I felt like I was on a downward spiral with no way to get up again.

"Miserable!" That was the only way to describe how I was feeling on that bright summer day. My husband had had to travelâ€"again!â€"and there I was alone with our four children. Finances were low and my health was bad. My teenage daughter was going through a crisis in her life. Having to handle her problems, take care of the other children, and run the house at the same time was taking its toll on me.

Although I tried hard, it was difficult to see anything positive about my situation. I prayedâ€"oh, how I prayed!â€"that the Lord would make things a little easier to bear.

Schoep and John
Good Morning -

Unusual feeling, this is. I'm unable to catch all of the words bouncing around in my head, but I can tell you this - I'm alright, sad yes but in good spirits. Another thing I can say without hesitation - Every single one of you has made this transition so much easier to handle, for you are the greatest support an individual could hope for.

THANK YOU TO ALL

It has been a roller coaster of emotion, every day a bit better.
May PEACE be in your soul, as in mine,
we'll see you in the next day or so - John

Thanks for inspiring us John, my heart is still broken... Schoep will always be in our hearts :-*

hasta sila banana republic nagtuliyok ang ulo anang pbb.  offices have different functions.  pananglitan rat catcher ka, okay, maihap ang rats nga imong nadakop.  pero kun ghostbuster, maihap bay ghosts?

the person responsible for the pbb is butch abad of the department of budget and management.  ambot ba uroy unsay nasulod sa iyang ulo.

sa case sa ilang department, will their performance be based on how much they saved for the government or how much they allotted to agencies?  as for office janitors, sure, it could be how clean the office is.  but what happens kun mga hugawan gyod ang office personnel?

the police is more delicate.  pilay naigo sa bala, pilay nadakop, o nawagtang ang crime sa usa ka lugar kay gi-wipeout tanang suspects.  uh-uh.

we are bombarded with complaints about this PBB... kani pod Central Office ang nagcompute ug wala nagpadala ug scaling gi unsa nila pagcompute why there are schools nga makadawat ug 35K, 25K down to 5K.. ang kusog mangreklamo kaning nakadawat ug 5K of course.. claiming themselves as performing schools, yes, they are performing no question about it, pero as to the computation of the PBB, why not put it into writing and addressed it the Office of the Secretary ;D
#731
whew.... CHAOS! that's the best word i could describe aning PBB ni P-Noy... taxable pa gyud 25%... ang makadawat ug 5K, 3K something na lang, i-ATM pa gyud.. ang money lender ra'y hayahay... hilak intawn ning mga teachers nga ang ATM naa sa mga money lender.. looy pod..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qa5Mawz92xU#ws

"Shattered"

In a way, I need a change
From this burnout scene
Another time, another town, another everything
But it's always back to you
Stumble out in the night
From the pouring rain
Made the block, sat and thought
There's more I need
It's always back to you

But I'm good without ya
Yeah I'm good without you
Yeah, yeah, yeah

How many times can I break til I shatter?
Over the line, can't define what I'm after
I always turn the car around
Give me a break; let me make my own pattern
All that it takes is some time
But I'm shattered
I always turn the car around

I had no idea that the night
Would take so damn long
Took it out, on the street
While the rain still falls
Push me back to you

But I'm good without ya
Yeah I'm good without you
Yeah, yeah, yeah

How many times can I break til I shatter?
Over the line, can't define what I'm after
I always turn the car around
Give me a break; let me make my own pattern
All that it takes is some time
But I'm shattered
I always turn the car around

Give it up, give it up Baby
Give it up, give it up now, now

How many times can I break til I shatter?
Over the line, can't define what I'm after
I always turn the car around
All that I feel is the realness I'm faking
Taking my time
But its time that I'm wasting
I always turn the car around

How many times can I break til I shatter?
Over the line, can't define what I'm after
I always turn the car around
Don't wanna turn that car around
I gotta turn this thing around

This makes India the fourth country to ban keeping of cetacean species in captivity, after Costa Rica, Hungary, and Chile. They went even further than the others though, and stated that:

“Whereas cetaceans in general are highly intelligent and sensitive, and various scientists who have researched dolphin behavior have suggested that the unusually high intelligence; as compared to other animals means that dolphin should be seen as ‘non-human persons’ and as such should have their own specific rights and is morally unacceptable to keep them captive for entertainment purposes.”

Liaohe River Delta contains a very unique piece of landscape, the Red Beach. Not far from Panjin City, China lies a beach that during the summer months looks like any other beach. Beautiful waters and a bit of green sea weed.

Than as the seasons change so does the sea weed. The green sea weed that blankets the entire beach turns red like fire in the autumn. Hence the reason it is called the Red Beach. Most of the beach is a nature reserve; there is however a small portion open to tourists to observe the amazing color and birds that thrive near it.

This 40-foot-long sliver of granite on Half Dome, named the Thank God Ledge, is the only way to get beyond the Visor, a massive roof that looms over the Regular Northwest Face route. Most people crawl, says Alex Honnold, but he prefers to walk it, face out, since that’s “cooler.” The 30 seconds it takes to get across requires absolutely no technical climbing skill, but even Honnold admits it’s sobering to look at 1,800 feet of air.

Tibetan Mastiff - they can grow up to 32 inches.

The Tibetan Mastiff is considered a primitive breed. It typically retains the hardiness which would be required for it to survive in Tibet and the high-altitude Himalayan range, including the northern part of Nepal, India and Bhutan.

The incident occurred in the Indian state of Punjab. Two puppies fell into a well. Their mother ran near the well and started barking, and attracted the attention of the owner, who looked inside and to his surprise there was a king cobra at the bottom, which didn't pose any threat to the puppies. Moreover, the reptile, looked after the puppies, by not allowing them to cross to the other side, where they could possibly drown, when the well is filled with water. In general, they spent around 48 hours together at the bottom and in these 48 hours the cobra sat quietly next to them. When help finally arrived from the forest department, the cobra slithered to the other end of the well. The puppies were not injured at all and the reptile was immediately taken into the woods and was released into the wild. Even the most deadly and dangerous creatures on earth know what Co-existence and mutual assistance is. The human race is in this respect far behind, and this is our biggest drawback.

Engr,

I know how you feel right now.. I've been into difficult situation also, worst than yours. Have you been in the situation of which you sleep without eating because there's nothing to eat in the first place? I did! but I never gave up, for I know it will pass. ;)

Failure is a part of every life, everyone fails at times. Defeat is when you don't rebound, but instead allow failure to turn what could be a successful life into a wasted one through self-pity and fear of the opinions of men. Feelings of inferiority are Satan's attempts to deny the power of God within you. One good thing about failure is that you appreciate the victory all the more. It's not the failing that counts, but what you do with it. No one has ever made a discovery, won a victory, or had a breakthrough without first experiencing some failures, yet refusing to let those failures defeat them. Failing is often God's way of helping you to zero in on His highest and best. You're not a failure as long as you help getting up and trying again. There's a big difference between saying "I fail" and "I'm a failure." There's no disgrace in saying "I fail" - which is just a fact of life - but you should never say "I'm a failure" unless you've decided to give up. The basic rules for success may be defined as follows:

    Know what you want.
Find out what it takes to get it.
    Act on it and persevere.

No one is a failure who can truly say, "I have done my best." Failure does not equal Defeat.. Cheer up Engr, it's not the end of the world. ^__^ God Bless :)

:-*,

The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
