Dear Rose,

I really have a problem.

When things appear neat and orderly, I feel the world is not normal.

But for the sake of the hundreds of Boholanos who love to visit this website everyday, I had to surrender to your reformatted perspective.

I was moved when, in your private message, you told me you printed out our website and evaluated the sanctity and alignment of all its contents. Do you still have ink in your printer? Hope you didn't use your school's printer. :)

I indeed used the school's printer for all 11 pages. No, not at all guilty. The team of 5 English specialists are so spoiled and pampered. We are provided to the last eraser, tucks, and scented tissues.

Rose, thank you so much for your much-awaited suggestions. May you one day become Bohol's first lady.

I could become Bohol's first lady if the requirements to be one call for being frivolous and imeldific. Other than that, I don't dream bigger than being Tubag Bohol's constant lurker.

I can only wish that Tubag Bohol's now neat appearance is as pleasing to the eyes as the arrangement of your sandals at your condo in Bangkok.

Hey, you haven't seen the bags yet!

Way paglubad,

Mike

The Rose that cannot wither

Dear Boholana wife,

A lil jealousy in every relationship sparks the romance upbeat. It is in fact needed once in a while to perk up a very comfortable and dormant 10 or 20-year relationship. It reminds the partners that hey, I do care!

However, you are not in this situation. It seems to me that your husband's jealousy has gone overboard. How unreasonable it is to get jealous even with your female friends. This is what you call, INSECURITY. Yes, your husband is suffering from insecurities and it has taken its toll on you and the relationship.

What do do? Assure him that he's the only one. Tell him sweet nothings out of the blue. If you need to lie for this, then you have to. Even if he has a beer belly, you can say, more is better than less. You can lie further by saying, "One of the best part of your body I love most is your tummy. I love its softness; I love the comfort it brings to my arms and legs resting on it."

And when you're together especially in public, indulge in PDA (Public Display of Affection). This will wake him up from coma that hey, my wife is proud of me. Take him with you to your night outs with your girl friends. This signals him that you're not keeping anything from him and he's someone you love to tag along with.

My final words, do the bedroom calisthenics like your P.E. teacher is watching with flawless eyes. Strip, pole dance, blow job, tease. Then whisper to his ears, I'm all yours, exclusively yours, body, mind, and spirit.

If it wouldn't work, get back to me and kindly explain further the circumstances surrounding your marriage.

Good luck to you wifey.

Faithfully yours,

Rose (on behalf of the trio)

P.S. If you have no intention of remaining married to your unreasonably jealous husband, then don't note my words. Go file an annulment or legal separation instead.

How To Tips / Re: Slow Down
June 19, 2007, 11:00:20 AM
Quote from: GEC348 on June 08, 2007, 03:56:23 PM
Walking may not be a healthy option when you are
working in Tagbilaran.

There is not much shade trees so the heat of the sun
           will
                   slow
                              you
                                     down
There is too much exhaust emitted from tricycles
and motor vehicles and they
           will
                    slow
                              you
                                      down
Not all street have proper sidewalks and this
           will
                      slow
                                you
                                         down

You meet too many lovely, smiling people
and this, DEFINITELY,

will
                            slow
                                                            you
                                                                                            down!

Ah... what a beautiful way to be slowing down.

I don't mind if the scorching heat of Tagbilaran City will slow me down as long as I'm slowing down and run into you. Would we know each other the moment our eyes meet? Ah, anonymous, is the name.

I'm in a journey of rediscovering my old love which I have
taken for granted, and with the deepest regret, because of the
demands of my work...

Vader once asked me if i'm a he, she, uncertain, or an "it".

I told her she can consider me a "he".

I am so excited about Transformers The Movie, produced by Steven Spieldberg.
I grew up on Transformers... and before that, old animated shows like Mazinger Z, Voltes V, Mecanda Robot, Grandizer, etc.

I can't wait for June 28 to come, the premier of the movie here. :D

Same here, the boys couldn't wait. And guess what, every 20 minutes I surmise the boys would say, "Hey mom, what's up?" They know that I easily doze off in the comfort of the cinema seats. The thing I could do best is pose before the camera with the gargantuan poster as my backdrop. In fact, I already got one with the Transformers when we watched the F4 at Siam Paragon (one of Southeast Asia's largest luxury malls).

Before that, ALIAS which already aired its last (5th) season.
Also the following are my favorite:
HBO's ROME, Season 2, but I'm frustrated coz I kept on missing the schedule.
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (new version).
I would have wanted to see 24 but again, I couldn't keep track of the schedule.

How I wish I could get a glimpse of the series you've mentioned. Me here, I settle for Desperate Housewives. What's more? I just keep re-watching Sex and City and F.R.I.E.N.D.S. How pathetic!

I agree. But what turns me off a bit is their policy that you can't bring in food-snacks unless they are purchased at the cinema foodstall-- and the price there is monstruously excessive than the price at the grocery store below.   :(

Grrrrr! Is all I could say. Only in Bohol, indeed. However, I miss watching movies in our very own coz we can review til sawa. Out here in BKK, we have to get a seat number. We cannot even go to the powder room, else we miss a part we'll never get to see again.

To the ICM Management: Why not allow people to bring food and show the receipt that it is purchased inside the mall on the same day? What you're doing now is so much GREED. You are utterly GREEDY!

And there are those who just
admire the work in progress...
Browsing... reading...

pick up their work tools and
speak their mind... knowing
that we are here
                        to listen.

Have fun, Marlou!  ;)

This is the private message I sent to Mike earlier. He asked me to repost it here. Who am I to say no to Mr. Administrator?

Dear Mike,

I swear, I can be the most honest person in the world.

Bitaw oi, I printed the homepage of Tubag Bohol, and I have few suggestions (I hope they suit the administrator's taste).

Daghan naman gud kaayo ang board, then nagkalandrakas ang uban. It's really up to you but many people would like to hire me for my organization skills.Too bad, they couldn't afford me. Tubag Bohol is lucky, I'm giving my services for free. Just a lil tweaking and whoa, your, our Tubag Bohol will dance upbeat!

Red Carpet (You may transfer the "Guests and Visitors" and "Your testimonial for Bohol" here. Reason: It's the first board the guests and visitors will see. At least they'd know you're addressing them. Guests and visitors may not know the site religiously as members do. At least, as a guest, there is something outright for them. Then your testimonial for Bohol, Reason: Di ba, when we first visit a site, or a profile, like friendster, etc., we are asked of a testi? Just a thought.)

Bohol Information Kitchen (It would be good to move "Remembering Bohol" and "Expats, Foreigners in Bohol" to this board. Burag mas related. That's my unsolicited view lang. Ug e separate man gud, burag libog and too many redundancies.)

Tubag Bohol Appetizer (Message in a Bottle obviously belongs here)

Buko Salad and Halo-halo (haaay, diri ra japun ang ending sa trio. Walay pulos ang motion for reconsideration)

1. A Dosage of Hope
2. Love and Relationship
3. Purely Friendship and Netpal
4. Marital, Sexual, and Beauty Problems
5. Health, Lifestyle, Medicine, and Healing
6. Faith and Eternity
7. Life Tips and Hacks
8. Jokes, Humor, Anecdotes
9. Favorite Quotes
10. Trivia
11. Odd Stories and Images
12. Question and Answer

Lastly, the following topics should be under one new label. They jive!

1. Tubag English Learning Nook
2. Research Warehouse
3. Website for You
4. Computer Problems, Tips, Advisory

P.S. If you can do some tricks, when people post a topic under the wrong label, can you do the automatic transfer? Hahaha! The one who posted wouldn't mind at all. Sometimes, they just hit and miss. That is if, you're a control freak like me. That is if, you want it organized and svelte.

GEC,

You are leaving me speechless and in so much awe. Not too many people have this stunning effect on me. You do!

I'm a frustrated photographer, a sucker for amazing subjects. You must know why I chose the red siamese fighting fish to represent the Rose. I didn't choose that for the sake of just that. There's always a story both implied and stated underneath my choices.

Red because it's the color for love and prosperity which I am enjoying in so much bliss.
Fighting because I have so much history and background in fighting over my principles (The article will be out soon!)
Siamese because I'm now based in Bangkok whose name was originally Siam.
Fish because I could swim in the water, land, and even in the air.

And the clincher: The thought of how fighting fish reproduces is unthinkable. I could imagine just looking through the eyes of love and whoa, I could already come in multiples! If the bubbles do the work for the fish, mine would be the eye magnet.

After much thought, I have come to my senses that the Trio's page should be moved to "Buko salad and halo-halo." To avoid sensationalizing the second motion for reconsideration, I have sent a private message to the Administrator to move the Trio's page right here. You might wonder why. Dear Bohol Philippines,

Thank you so much for acting as messenger to our fellow Bol-anons who are too shy to ask! Or maybe, they aren't shy at all. They're just protecting their loved ones from humiliation.

Yours,

Rose (on behalf of the Trio)

Dear wives-with-alcoholic-husbands,

Please know that you are not alone. God cares. The Trio cares. Many wives suffer from alcoholic husbands. They are of different versions, but I have one solution that fits all.

GIVE YOUR HUSBAND THE REASON TO COME HOME SANE! If you're a good wife, your husband will find joy coming home whole and not wasted. Don't you fret wives, I am on your side. However, please also ask yourselves this question: Am I lovable enough for my husband to come home to? If your answer is yes, then perhaps, not all is lucky in love.

Don't lose hope though, I heard from a friend what she did to stop her husband's alcoholism. Whatever his husband drinks, she drinks. In other words, atbangan jud niya. Sige, ug tanduay imo, mao pud ako. Ug bahalina imo, mao pud ako. Then eventually, the husband realized that someone has to take in charge! If your hubby won't buy the trick, then perhaps, not all is lucky in love.

Still, don't lose hope. I heard from another friend what she did to stop her husband's vice. Her running rule was: You cannot touch me when you're drunk. What husband can live with this? If yours can, then perhaps, not all is lucky in love.

What to do now? If you couldn't put up with him, then junk him! Your husband's alcoholism is incurable. But if you're a typical wife, living in martyrdom, then by all means, stick with him and ruin your self-esteem.

Lovingly yours,

Rose (on behalf of the Trio)

P.S. Our life is determined by the choices we make. The choice is yours. Good luck!

Eat more lean protein.

I do but the one I eat/take is not in the list you mentioned. Trust me, you don't want to know.

Never ever let yourself get hungry (ever).

I don't. When I crave or starve for something (food or otherwise), I get what I want whatever it takes!

Kill your food cravings.

Food cravings, OK. Not Tubag Bohol cravings, OK.

Break a sweat in the morning.

I do and I want more so it's time to move the nookie sked up in the morning just before breakfast.

I used to pay attention to these things when I was very young. Now this topic seems stale. It has no relevance whether a girl is virgin or not. What matters is what kind of person she is. If somebody meets a girl and falls in love with her to discover later on that she is not virgin, how would all other qualities of her vanish on account of that?
The basic ingredient of a relationship is fidelity. There must be a deep bond of understanding. It that is handy then, how does it matter whether she was virgin or not. Her virginity could have been lost due overwhelming circumstances.

Barbaro, you make a lot of sense. And this post will surely improve the self-esteem of those who have already popped up their cherries.

A traditional rule holds that in behalf of and on behalf of have distinct meanings. Accordingly, you should use in behalf of to mean “for the benefit of,” as in We raised money in behalf of the earthquake victims. And you should use on behalf of to mean “as the agent of, on the part of,” as in The guardian signed the contract on behalf of the child. But as the two meanings are quite close, the phrases are often used interchangeably, even by reputable writers. (bartleby.com)

His character, his sense of humor and adventure, and most of all, his good genes.

Character: During one of Sagbayan's tough mayoralty race many decades ago between X and Y, X was from an affluent blood, he could afford to buy one vote for two pesos. Y was destitute, he could only buy one vote for one peso. With the people's poor living conditions, my dad was convinced they would go for the highest bidder. As the leader of the church, he went house to house, giving a peso more for Y and this was what he said: Now, that you have sold your souls to the same amount, it matters not anymore. I am not endorsing X or Y. They have both sinned. I just want you to learn how to use your conscience.

Sense of humor: Countless that I thought I or my dad could die of heart attack!

Sense of adventure: Our weekends during our childhood days were always fun, whether it was strolling from Cogon to Taloto District on an early Saturday morning or swimming at Caingget beach on a hot Sunday afternoon.

Good Genes: Ronald (35), nurse, based in Australia with his wife and two English and math wizards
Sharon (33), nurse, based in England with her husband and three brilliant monickers
Benjie (32), gov't employee a.k.a. baby donyatic, single, based in the Philippines
