there are  a few things I abhor about PAL on international flights.  I notice there flight stewardees are quite stern, medyu wlay lami ilaha pagkaon and  most of all annoying kaayu na ilaha linya kana naa sa gate for international departure btaw. porbida pul-an ka ug linya. unya kun masulod nka sa designated area kun mangihi ka mobalik na pod ka linya  arun i check ug i-scrutinize ug maayu usab.. padundan dungan pka ug mangayu ug pasalubong bsan pabalik nka sa gawas.. nabuing cla..i really detest that..

father suarez is getting richer and richer and has travelled around the world using his faith healing ministry. most of the money used in building his church and healing/renewal center are from donations.
i don't have to take away other people's beliefs but in my own opinion, medical experts are the only one who can heal wounds, sickness and diseases. well of course, it's still coupled with prayers and faith in God.

Tribute to Orchids (Aya) / Re: Orchids for Orchids
September 26, 2008, 12:22:42 AM
Lord our God, the death of Aya recalls our human condition and the brevity of our lives on earth. But for those who believe in Your love, death is not the end, nor does it destroy the bonds that You forge in our lives. We share the faith of Your Son's disciples and the hope of the children of God. Bring the light of Christ's resurrection to this time of testing and pain as we pray for Aya and for those who love her, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
#5749
Almighty Eternal God, in Your fatherly goodness, be kind to the soul of Your servant, Aya. Cleanse her whom You have called from this world of all her faults, take her into the Realm of Light and Peace and into the Community of Your Saints, and give her share of Eternal Delight in Your Kingdom. God, You Creator and Saviour of all the faithful, forgive all the sins of all Your servants' souls. Let them receive forgiveness through our pious prayer, for which they have always been yearning. For this we pray through Jesus, Our Lord. Amen.

i really admired the bravery of the filipinos and we are known to that. but we are always blinded by our ideologies which is also in turn the one bringing us down. we are known to be fighters, we fight on what we believe is right and on what we believe that's good for us. we are rich in history about revolutions, rebellions and other atrocities against foreign invaders. but how many of us think if our heroes had succeed in their quest for freedom? for me, they did not succeed. all of them are failures. do you know why? take for example the following:

datu lapu-lapu - he's known to be first filipino hero who have fought and repulse the spanish 1st attempt to get the island. but his victory was shortlived since the spaniards succeeded in taking over the island and named it filipinas which is now the modern philippines. they ruled the country for 300 years and in fact is one of the greatest influence of the filipino culture.

francisco dagohoy - is a bol-anon who according to history holds the distinction of leading the longest revolt against the spanish regime. from 1744 to 1829 or roughly 85 years. but it not deter and not even made the spaniards blink.

katipunan - is an underground group organized by other filipino hardliners against the spaniards. they have few succcess and more losses. almost all of the members were eventually captured and died.

there were so many revolts that happened in our country up to the american occupation and japanese occupations but it not even change the fate of country. it because of how we really handle ourselves. try to take a look at countries and places that are former colonies. they are now very rich, successful and blooming. take a look at hongkong, singapore among others.

our country will always be like this until the time of our children's children's children because we are corrupt. only a few people who are less corrupt. corruption is really in our blood and we can't change it. we might be able to minimize it but to control it, it's not going to work out. the best thing that we need to do is to teach our children to work for their own because no government will take care of their needs. they need to tell their children to teach it also their children and to their children's future children and so on. the only person who can save us is only us. not them, not the other people.

a new bill is pending in congress that will allow americans and other foreigners to own corporations, lands and other properties in the philippines without much hassle unlike before. if that will be made into law, that could lead to the invasion of foriegn investors here and perhaps will also lead to new way of life for filipinos. hopefully, they will make rules still favorable to the filipino people.

the suspect isaac zamora  is a troubled young man with mental health problems.

here's the rest of the story:

A shooting rampage Tuesday afternoon in northwest Washington has left six people dead, including a sheriff's deputy, the State Patrol said. A suspect in the shootings has surrendered.

Two people were wounded during the violence in Skagit County, including a state trooper who reportedly was grazed in the arm by a bullet.

A man was arrested after turning himself in at the Skagit County sheriff's office in Mount Vernon, Trooper Keith Leary said. The man was not immediately identified but Leary said he is known to authorities as "someone with a mental illness."

The dead were found at multiple crime scenes. They included the deputy shot while responding to a call and a second person killed at the same location near the small town of Alger; two construction workers found shot nearby, and a third body found a few houses away, Leary said. Authorities were investigating any connection among those sites.

A motorist was shot and killed on Interstate 5 as the suspect fled south.

The sheriff's deputy was responding to a disturbance call around 2:20 p.m., reports CBS affiliate KIRO-TV in Seattle. When the sheriff’s deputy arrived, one person was already dead in the home, said Leary. Some time went by before the police station called the officer to do a status check. When they received no answer, police responded to the sheriff’s deputy and found him fatally shot in the head, Skagit County police said.

The wounded included a motorcyclist who was shot in the arm at a Shell gas station in Alger and the trooper hit as the suspect raced along I-5.

After the shootings in the Alger area, the armed man raced south on Interstate 5 at speeds in excess of 90 mph, with troopers, sheriff's deputies and Mount Vernon police in pursuit, Leary said.

The civilian motorist was shot and killed and the unidentified trooper was grazed by a bullet along I-5 near a rest stop, Leary said. The trooper was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The victims were not immediately identified.

The first shootings were reported shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday and the suspect was in custody by about 4:30 p.m.

The pursuit ended when the suspect drove to Mount Vernon precinct of the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office and surrendered, Leary said. A bullet hole was found in the passenger side window of the suspect's truck, reported KIRO.

State Patrol troopers temporarily closed all southbound lanes of I-5 north of Burlington for a period Tuesday evening, backing up traffic for miles, as they investigated that crime scene.

i would say we hope so. Microsoft has publicly committed to the only feature they can offer for Windows 7- the pervasive multi-touch. The company is currently still deciding what this next Windows release will look like. We do know a few other things about Windows 7, however: It will include a new version of Windows Explorer that is being built by the same team that designed the Ribbon user interface in Office 2007. It will likely include some form of the "Hypervisor" (Windows Virtualization) technologies that will ship shortly after Windows Server 2008. It will also likely include the WinFS (Windows Future Storage) technologies, though they won't be packaged or branded as WinFS. Microsoft says it might also make a subscription-based version of the OS available to consumers, but that's still in flux.

Windows 7, (formerly codenamed Blackcomb and later Vienna) is the working name for the next major version of Microsoft Windows as the successor to Windows Vista. Microsoft has announced that it is "scoping Windows 7 development to a three-year timeframe", and that "the specific release date will ultimately be determined by meeting the quality bar." Windows 7 is expected to be released in June 2009. The client versions of Windows 7 will ship in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Little is known about the feature set, though public presentations from company officials have disseminated information about some features. Leaked information from people to whom Milestone 1 (M1) of Windows 7 was provided also provides some insight into the feature set.
