Dr. Alfred P. Southwick (1826 - 1898), was a dentist from Buffalo, New York. He was credited with inventing the first electric chair as a method of execution. The idea came when he witnessed an intoxicated man touch a live electric generator. After the man died quickly, Dr. Southwick concluded that electricity could be used as an alternative to hanging for executions. As Southwick was a dentist who was accustomed to performing procedures on subjects in chairs, his device for electrical execution appeared in the form of an "electric chair."

But the first electric chair was made by Harold Pitney Brown. An American inventor who was hired by Thomas Edison to help develop the chair after he wrote an editorial to the New York Post describing how a young boy was killed after accidentally touching an exposed telegraph wire using alternating current.

i know what sex is all about at a very young age. it because i love to mingle with the older guys and i can always hear what they are talking. what came up in my mind is that when i reached the legal age i will try that one as well. until time passes by, i passed puberty, adolesence and then adulthood. i didn't realize everything until i reached the peak. that scenarios like this all depends on both sex. if a man and a woman both agreed to do it, that seems to fair enough. at least no force needed. but they must think of the consequences later. so before going into that, you must learn and know what sex is all about. sex education is vital to your learning not only on those what you learn from school but also for everyday living. if you have a broaded knowledge about sex, the better. it is because you know already what to do, what's not to do, what's good and what's bad. i don't support abortion but i do support sex education. if all the youths of today are properly oriented about what sex is all about, there could have been less abortion, early marriage, less STD's and rape.

try to quote me if im wrong, if dili willing ang babaye and then ok ra sa laki, that means love. pero if dili mo give in ang babaye nya biyaan sa lalaki. lust ra to ang feeling sa lalaki dili love.
pero usual jud sa mga lalaki mo ask jud ana and most of the women mo give in because they love their men and hadlok sila biyaan. mao nay giingon nga walay bright sa gugma tanan mabugo.

Cebu is top BPO site: study

By Cris Evert Lato
Cebu Daily News
First Posted 14:42:00 10/21/2008

CEBU CITY, Philippines - From number four last year, Cebu City went to number one among the 50 emerging global outsourcing cities worldwide in an international survey.

That ranking was based on a study conducted by industry publication Global Services and investment advisory firm Tholons for 2008.

Following Cebu City in the second and third spots are Shanghai and Beijing, both from the People's Republic of China.

Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam ranked fourth place, while the city of Krakov in Poland landed on fifth place.

“Our position last year (being number 4) helped a lot in selling Cebu to more companies,” said Joel Mari Yu, managing director of Cebu Investment Promotions Center (CIPC).

Yu said the global financial crisis worked to the advantage of Cebu City, which continues to attract big names in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.

He said top companies in India such as Tata Consultancy Services and HCL Technologies will soon open satellite offices in the city.

Aside from Cebu City, the cities of Pasig, Quezon, Mandaluyong made it to the top 50 list.

Pasig City ranked 15th, Quezon City was in 21st spot while Mandaluyong City landed on the 45th slot.

Meanwhile, Yu said CIPC records show that about 22 call center companies and 36 non-voice companies in Cebu offer content and medical transcription services among others.

The industry employs close to 50,000 workers, said Yu.

The study, which also listed the cities of Pasig, Quezon and Mandaluyong in the top 50 list, identified six general categories which determine the ranking of the cities.

These are scale and quality of workforce, business catalyst, cost effectiveness, infrastructure and infrastructure support, risk profile and quality of life.

“When firms in the US becomes distressed, the impetus to become competitive is getting bigger and bigger,” Yu said.

By locating to Cebu, a call center company can reduce cost by as much as 90 percent, Yu said.

“Even if they say that power cost in Cebu is expensive, it only takes a fraction of the operational cost of the company. The biggest is manpower (labor cost),” he added.

Yu credits the Japanese for persuading him to move Cebu as an IT hub.

“Even before the call centers came (in 2002 and 2003), Japanese companies such as Jump, Dash and Tsuneishi have come here (2001). They mostly provide engineering services,” Yu said.

With Cebu ranking first, it is now moving to higher level, more complicated and complex BPO services, said Bonifacio Belen, executive director of Cebu Educational Development Foundation for Information Technology.

“The companies already saw that Cebu has a critical mass of human resource who can render more complicated and complex services,” Belen said.

From being an emerging destination, Yu said Cebu is envisioned to become a fully-developed outsourcing destination next year.

Worldwide, there are only eight fully-developed outsourcing destinations. Makati City is one of them.

“A fully developed destination has a critical mass of workforce. In Cebu, we only have less than 50,00 workers. Makati has 100,000. Entire Metro Manila has 200,000.”

Yu said infrastructure, quality and quantity of workforce and peace and order situation still needs to be improved to make Cebu a fully-developed outsourcing destination.

With the positive performance of the ICT industry, the number of buildings catering to ICT companies is expected to increase as well.

Aside from Asiatown Information Technology Park, Robinland Inc. is currently building the Robinland Business Center at the back of Cebu Doctor's University in North Reclamation Area (NRA).

A P500-million building called Qimonda IT Center is also being developed in a five-hectare property at the NRA.

Gross leasable area is around 22,000 square meters and will house BPO companies, retail stores and alfresco dining.

It is being developed by the Go family, the owner of Ricor

I think Santilmo is St. Elmo's fire.
Saint Elmo's fire

Glow accompanying the brushlike discharges of atmospheric electricity that usually appears as a tip of light on the extremities of such pointed objects as church towers or the masts of ships during stormy weather. It is commonly accompanied by a crackling or fizzing noise. It is commonly observed on the periphery of propellers and along the wing tips, windshield, and nose of aircraft flying in dry snow, in ice crystals, or near thunderstorms. St. Elmo is an Italian corruption of St. Erasmus, patron saint of Mediterranean sailors, who traditionally regarded St. Elmo's fire as a sign of his guardianship over them.

sex is good when it is bounded by love. so if men give love for sex so it's should be women give sex for love, right? because if the man truely loves the woman and the woman truely loves the man then she will give everything to please him. is it true ladies?
as for sex bounded by lust, that's totally different since most of it happen in an instant. if man tells a woman that he loves her but his goal is just to have sex with her, that's not love but it's lust. love with lust is not going to last since the intentions are not true. that man will feel the same to other woman he will meet along the way.

misty glass window

Rain falls
Dark clouds are racing up above
I gaze in solitude
Looking through a misty glass window
'Cause then it used to be the two of us

This empty room
Filled my thoughts with memories of you
I turned and looked around
Oh, but found no sight of you
I guess it'll never be as true, no no ooh

Starlight
All I need is you tonight
Oh, starbright
Grant my wish tonight
I'm beggin' you, starlight
All I need is you tonight
Hoh, starbright
Get rid of the spell tonight, ooh

Rain falls
Dark clouds keep racing up above
It's still in solitude
Oh, longin' for you
Guess my heart will always be with you
My heart will always be with you
