Abraham’s faith becomes the model for Christian faith. The faith of Abraham is really a total abandonment of self to the mercy and love of God. New storm may enter RP Friday night - Pagasa

A tropical storm that may threaten parts of Luzon this weekend may enter Philippine territory as early as Friday night, state weather forecasters said.

But the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also said the storm may yet spare the country and head for Taiwan.

"Yung potential na maaring tamaan, either Central Luzon, Northern Luzon, o bahagyang lilihis at patungong Taiwan (Chances are it will hit Central Luzon or Northern Luzon, or change course and head for Taiwan)," Pagasa head Prisco Nilo said in an interview on dzXL radio.

The storm, once it enters Philippine territory, will be code-named "Ramil."

Nilo said that while the storm, internationally code-named "Lupit," is heading for Visayas, there is very little chance it will make landfall over the central Philippine region.

"Medyo napakababa ng probability [na] tumama ng Visayas (There is a very small chance of it hitting Visayas)," he said.

On the other hand, Pagasa forecaster Connie Dadivas said the storm will likely enter the Philippine area of responsibility about 9 p.m. Friday.

No landfall?

Dadivas, however, said the storm will not immediately have any direct effect on any part of the country Friday night.

"Boundary pa lang ito, papasok ito sa boundary pa lang ... Di natin masasabing magla-landfall ito (It will just be entering the boundary of our territory. It will not necessarily make landfall)," she said in an interview on dzBB radio.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa said Lupit was estimated at 1,350 km east of Visayas with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

It is forecast to move west northwest at 26 kph, Pagasa said.

Also, Pagasa said an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas.

"Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms," it said.

Tropical cyclones "Ondoy" and "Pepeng" wrought havoc across Luzon, including Metro Manila, killing nearly 700 people and displacing over a million others. Authorities have reported that billions have been lost in damage to properties and agriculture. - GMANews.TV

Gahapon ang ahong inbox daghan kaajong notification email nga gikan sa TB kay may system man nga ug mopost ka ug may mopost na nga lain apadad-an ka ug notification email. Nagdanghag lamang pud ko kay wa ko know jamo unsaon pag set, adto diay kono na sa settings.

So to make things lighter for me unja dili pud ko masakpan sa ahoang Boss ahong gichange ang email nga ahong gibutang sa ahong account sa TB.

Pagkachange na, automatic kang malog-out sa TB and before ka makasud ug balik kinahanglan makadawat ka ug email pud unja didto sa email imong iclick man siguro tong link didtoa.

Ana kay wa may email niabot sa ahoa, mao to nagsugod ang problema. Hehehehe

Some of the commentators say that of the two great Carmelite women Doctors of the Church, Teresa of Avila wrote and lived the mystical theology and Therese of Lisieux showed us  how to live it in the ordinary events of our lives! This is probably a fair reflection of the truth but it is important for us to try to draw some of the insights Teresa of Avila presents us in her writings. It is probably easier to read her in a moremodern translation such as Carolyn Humphries, From Ashes to Fire â€" but at least let us try to learn from her insights and wisdom.

Luke 11:47-54
47 The Lord said: “Woe to you! You build the memorials of the prophets whom your ancestors killed. 48 Consequently, you bear witness and give consent to the deeds of your ancestors, for they killed them and you do the building. 49 Therefore, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send to them prophets and apostles; some of them they will kill and persecute’ 50 in order that this generation might be charged with the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world, 51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah who died between the altar and the temple building. Again the kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away.(Matthew 5:47-48)

The amazing ant

Ants eat almost anything, but prefer sweet foods. When ants find food, they lay down a chemical trail, called a pheromone, so that other ants can find their way from the nest to the food source. The Dalmatie ant cooks its food by chewing it into patties and baking them in the sun.

Ants can carry 5 to 20 times their body weight, and will work together in small or large groups to move heavier things. When they come across potholes, they smooth out the track by filling the holes with their bodies, accellerating the delivery of their goodies back to the nest.

It is estimated that there are about one quadrillion (1,000,000,000,000,000) ants in the world. The biggest ant colony was found on the Ishikari Coast of Hokkaido: 306 million ants and 1 million queens lived in 45,000 interconnected nests over an area of 2.7 square kilometres (1,7 square miles).

Most of the 11,000 ant species are ferocious, except for the Messor Aciculatus ant, which rarely fights. The Formica yessensis ant attacks other insects, but does not fight with ants of the same species, even if they come from a different ant nest.

Ant lifespan
The study of ants is called myrmecology. In a book based on two decades of revolutionary research, a Stanford professor maintains that the ant queen is not in charge: there are no leaders in an ant colony. Worker ants live for only a few weeks but some ant species workers live up to 5 years. Ant queens live for about 6 years with some species of ant queens living for 25 years and more.

Gakken's ant pages explains that ants are found all over the world except on Antarctica, Greenland, Iceland, some parts of Polynesia, and a few other remote islands in the Atlantic and Indian oceans.
