A president can not do without mandate of majority, otherwise he is a dictator. The problem in the Philippines now is lack of information and awareness. The majority does'nt even know if Spratly's exists. Others thought it is somewhere in Hawaii because of its American name. If there is an information drive followed by referendum, I am sure the majority will demand claim over Spratlys.

Diplomatic relation and treaty is only a piece of paper if one party disrespects it. In our case, it is. China's fleet are reported to have landed and established a base. They even held Filipino fishermen, accusing them of trespassing (in our own territory?). The fact that it is happening openly in broad daylight only indicates collaborators presently in power.

War can broke in two ways. One party is the invader and one is the defender. This is an instant war as what happened in Pearl Harbour & Kuwait.

The other way is when deplomacy fails and war is the final option. It may be a cold war or a bloody war.

In our case, we have not even made efforts on the deplomatic stage. No one cares putting this issue on the plate.

It seems that our Elected leaders are prioritizing on defending thier position, than defending the country/people they vowed to serve.

Naa ni 7 Demons associated with 7 Sins. Like Mamon Love for Money, Lucifer for Envy, Satan for Pride, nakalimot na ko sa uban. Dapat kuno mag perform ug exurcism in latin para manglupad ning mga 7 Demons.

Akong pangitaon akong librito ug exurcism nga nilatin.

Basin mock-up missile lang ug dili molupad made of melamine.

Also I don't believe China owns nuclear arms. I think only the former USSR, North Korea, Iran, Pakistan and India are having nuclear program among all Asian countries. Even North Korea is heavily monitored by the US & UN.

It was reported by ABS-CBN that Chinese Oil Exploration ships were spotted inside the Philippine perimeter Spratly's and even refueled in Palawan. ABS-CBN tried to interview the junior crew, but non of them are able to understand English.

Easypeacy, komedya lang to akoa. Pawala sa kamingaw.

Really, I love mountaineering. It is more than an adventure and recreation. It is fulfilling to the spirit specially if you reached your goal, the summit. Stretching your hand wide, you feel like you own the world and at an instant mawala imong kakapoy.

It develops determination, it conquers your fear, it trains you mentally how to set a goal and reach for it. Moreover, it allows you to appreciate God's masterpiece (nature) on your way.

It is a 3 in 1 activity; i.e. Physical, Mental and Spiritual.

In one of the pictures, Mr. Ferniz, I can see that the F/A-18's hull reads, 'El Paso, Texas'.

Then in the last picture I can tell that that is the WWII Memorial in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Officer ni siya in a US Nuclear Super Air Craft Carrier. No doubt.

Yes Lorenzo, he is long back an officer. He joined the US Marine in 1987 through a recruitment. We both took the entrace exams, but he has more determination. That time I was thinking twice due to my upcoming board exams in Engineering. While he pursued in the next level which is the physical training.

He was a fat boy then and after the training at one of the US bases, he comes back proud and with the abs like Manny Pacquiao.

Should I have the determination, I would be like him by now.

But really this guy is very humble.

By the way, he is the causin of Mickey Gatal.

Yes this was most definently was a pre meditated event I had seen Arlene and her boys from cityhall casing out Bojol Grill at both entrances as if on the hunt or prowl?
This was on a Friday night just before closing.

The behavior of her and her  and her ctyhall group was definintly suspicios as this group of cityhall persons normally clear out of Dunkin donuts around 9pm or 10pm at night.

And her is some further updating-This is not te first time that one of Mayor's staff has assaulted media i think it has been a few like the newwet dytr member was slapped or hit around a month or so a go.

Then there was Batchoy Alba another media man anchor of "Pulso" DYRD AM had a fie arson at his house.

And my question is what is Lito Responte GM of/ 911FM DYTR AM Bohol Tri Media Association President/ and lets add KBP President for Bohol doing about of these two incidents that have takken place at his station?

I need to pardon for a moment and correct Atty. Amore to Atty. Amora

By the way when your on the inside of the media and have lived here for eight years and you are living through these sittuations having to hear about it daily and reading about it when the newspapers come out every week tends to get a little tiresome.

And the local media takes it as a personal attack not just on Daarol but on the media as a whole.

Aha! Pressy, so you were spying on them ha.

Hihihi, I can't help but laugh, imagining a huge girl like you spying and hiding bihind a small bayabas tree ;D. Really I am giggling right now.

Seriously, thanks for the update.

This is all I can say. Everyone who claims to love Christ must hate war.
How could we enjoy victory at the expense of others?

War is allowed by God to defend the community that worshiped Him. Even God allows the war of Angels.

I still believes in determination. Look at a small country like Israel, it is challenged by a gaint Russia, Lebanon and Syria and until now it still stands proud. They were persecuted by the Nazis, but until now their race exists and strong. Like Israel, the Philippines is protected by the US Military. During the cold war days, Russia would have easily captured Israel without the military aid of the US. The US Military will pulvorize any nation that touches its strategic points and allies.

A former ally of the US that still exist today are the Mujahidin Army of Afghanistan. They were the best Army that Russia had encountered and they were trained and armed by the US. They were just a handful of brave guirellas against a Superpower Russia.

In my own analysis, America is now fighting an Economic War.

Since year 2000, most of American Owned Companies are being acquired by outsiders like MGM is bought by a Japanese, Disneyland is partly acquired by Europeans, many brands that were american origin and are considered the american legacy are now owned by Europeans and Japanese. One of the best example is Ray-Ban, the best known american symbol, popularized by Mc Arthur, branded as since 1947, the company who designed the multi layered RB50 anti radiation lens of Apollo worn by the Neil Armstrong, the American Pride is acquired by Luxottica Group, an optical Giant in Italy. Marlboro, Nestle and many others are partly acquired by a German group. These are just example. I can see many companies in the US are failing and the situation is worsening.

Since China, is known to be the biggest source of counterfeit products and biggest threat to the American business, the US did a fire fighting strategy by puting its factories in China to compete with counterfeit. By doing so, they could closely monitor and control those counterfeit producers. At the same time, the US enjoys cheap labor. In the process, the US gained control and influence over Chinas economy.

In conclusion, if the US says get out of Spratlys, China will do without hesitation.

On the other hand, I doubt if the US has tolerated China's oil exploration activities at Spratlys in order to fuel thier factories which are also owned by the US?

So, back to Chez Escudero, he is a fighter. I can feel his passion and determination. A brave young guy and surely he will be a promising figure in Philippine politics. However, I have not seen enough caliber to surpass that of Ninoy Aquino and other great pinoys. I don't think he could change the face of our country as a president.

War is won by determination.

Think about the katipuneros if they had thought of the big cannons from the Spaniards against thier bolos and spears.

What would happen to our guirellas if they thought that Japanese have planes and ships against thier small guns.

What China is doing at Spratlys islands is literally an Invasion and we are doing nothing to defend ourselves.

If we initiate this war, do you think America would just do nothing?

Just for mental excercise, peace Ayessa ;D

I don't like the Pine Trees of Sagbayan Peak. If they want to beautify it with trees, they can use indigenous trees like the Nara, Tugas, Coconut Trees, but not the pine trees. It looks odd to have pine trees without snow.

The name itself sounds wrong. You use peak for mountains, not for a hill.

They need to remove that Walt Disney Characters. They are pirated and that is illegal.

On the other hand, I love our very own Chocolate Hills.

From a hot air baloon, more angles and spectacular views can be seen:

I am looking for a president who could do the following:

- Free College Education to Filipinos and non-filipinos.
- Establish the Philippines as the Import & Re-Export Hub in Asia
- Claim Sabah Malaysia through War or Deplomatic means
- Secure our boundaries at Spratlys Islands and give ultimatum to China to withdraw from its base. Order a Military firepower if ultimatum is not complied
- Impose ban on companies that exceed 60% foreign ownership
- Reinstall the death sentence to Filipinos and non-filipinos

In theory, there is no such thing as untouchable under the law. It is your fear that made these untouchables.

In my opinion, a "right to demand reply" counter bill must also be passed.

So instead of media accusing any public personalities, they will use this bill; i.e. Daarol will demand explanation from Karaan about ARs.

Yes you're right Gener. It is normal for families to have disputes, but choosing whom to side between father and wife would be the most head breaking decision (emotionally and mentally). Perhaps this is the greatest blow the boxer has encountered in his entire career.

Choosing either side, is both correct and the best thing to do is follow what your heart dictates.

Perhaps Nonito choosed his wife because he knew that fathers are always forgiving at the end of the day, no matter how prodigal a son is.

For years, he have given what his father deserves and that is giving pride and honor.

However, Nonito has his own family to manage. He is not a kid anymore but a family man with an enormous task.

Thanks God, I have not encountered such problem in my life.

One of my ideas is to spearhead a group or put some of my hard earned money to organize a group of indigent or un-educated weavers or farmers. Based on my experience, I will teach them how to do trading, marketing. What are the structures of the industry and go for the most profitable channels.

My main objective is to eliminate the middlemen that only exploit our poor farmers. Eliminate those who profited the most with very small effort.

One of my examples of that post are the poor weavers of Antiquera who were most exploited just because they dont know banking and finance, commerce, trading, exporting, even dont know how to read and write.

Local middlemen will approach them and bargain at 2 peso per native basket. Then, the local middlemen goes to Tagbilaran to sell the goods at some hoarder at 4 pesos. The Tagbilaran hoarder sells it to Cebu and from Cebu to Manila, to Hong-Kong. In Hong-kong, it is the melting pot for Asian Exports to Europe and Ameria. The basket sold at 2 pesos is now sold at $1.25 dollar a piece which is 25-30 folds. But this is not the end of my story. The European importer will then import the goods and sells it to retailers at 150% profit margin which covers all operational cost including FOB expenses.

My vision is to help this gifted artisans make thier own export company for their woven baskets, markets it to the world vide the internet and do exports procedure to Europe or country in demand directly, bi-passing/eliminating all middlemen in between.

Moreover, the export will not to go to a Europen Importer, but to a Tubag Bohol member who are based in Europe, who is also a member of the group. So there in Europe itself we also by-pass the middlemen and our goods will be sold directly to retail channels/giftshops and supermarkets. Those TB Members are the ones finding who is in demand for baskets and suggests/deals with the consignee/retailer directly. In turn they earn commission per shipment.

Moreover, management is very important and I will train one of thier members for it, like how to handle cash flow, overheads and expense planning, production pipeline planning, Export procedures, expeditors to contact...etc.

So, I reiterate this idea and hope this could be realized someday with TB Network resources.

If this can not be made during my time, my only wish is that someday my kids will.

But anyway, it gets colder man sad when you go higher.. Some gals kay magleggings, then magshorts.. Para maflaunt japun ang shape sa legs.. Hehe! But they still bring along jogging pants ky tugnaw na sa campsite.. But on major climbs, we wear leggings then jogging pants.. Dual purpose na sha.. To protect us from the cold and to protect us from the blood leeches or alimatok sa atong dialect.. Minor climbs ra man mostly ang mga bukid sa cebu and bohol.. Sa negros, ang mt. Canlaon and mt. Talinis are considered major climbs..

Sir enzo, ngiga gud ninjo wui.. Winter time man magtrek.. Dili hadluk mag-avalanche?

In the Philippines, dili advisable ang jogging pants or even knee high socks. Daghan kaayo ug "amorsiko". Seriously, katol raba na kaayo. My suggested attire is high cut hiking shoes without socks, a pair of shorts, sleeveless top, fabric or native hat. Must bring: Off lotion for mosquitos and biting insects, first aid kit, a gallon of water, sunscreen spf50, hunting knife, rope, lighter or matches, compas & map, flashlight, foldable tent, canned food & to capture unforgetable moments, the camera.

For pinoys, this is the attire and must have:
Shorts, t-shirt, tsinelas, handkerchief or purong, bungay or sondang, hapas basin panohoton, bayong or bawjot sudlan ug spooting nga sinina ug tiktak nga sapatos basin makaagi ug bario nga ga fiesta, pomada diay pod, tawas tapol para dili paakan ug haas. Lol ;D.

To my experience, OFWs in our place are practicing the "Filipino Mafia" of favoring Filipinos against other nationals. For example there is a bidding, we show that we are fair, but at the end of the day, we secretly grant the tender to the company with a Filipino representative. Also many Filipinos who were involved in HR will show that they are fair during interview of candidates, but at the end, they will hire the Filipino candidates.

I know this is a bad practice, but for a heavenly cause. I am sure those people who are doing this are not only thingking only of themselves but for the smiling families of those they helped.

It is true that many OFW's have spoiled children, grandson or relatives back home because nagsalig sa sweldo ni Daddy or Kuya or lola.

My philosophy is if my money will only spoil my children, I rather throw it to charity. Really, I have trained my kids to avoid extravagance and not to be hooked on material things even at thier young age. My 4 year old if she needs something will ask: "mahal ni siya Pa?" instead of "I want this, buy me this".

There are lots of Yahoo games which children can learn while enjoying like the links below. They will understand business management, trading, importance of customer service, value of time, etc. Also in the virtual world of Fresbo, my kids were able to acquire 4 furnished rooms.

LOL

bitaw, kidding aside, murag mga anito/anita pa ta adtong panahona. i haven't heard that we had hindu contact in the outside world.

what i know is the arab and chinese trades that our ancestors had. but not hindu.

Sa ancient history (wala ni gi tudlo sa atong curriculum) sakop ta sa Sri Vijayan kingdom which extends to sumatra, borneo and celebes. Vijayans are people who migrated from Ceylon which is Srilanka and established a Kingdom in the Malays that ruled the spice trade as early as 9th - 12th century. Some groups split like the Mujapahit empire. Their religion is mainly Hindus and animist.

When the Sri Vijayan Empire collapsed during the 14th Century, the last ruler surrendered to the Arabs and converted to Islam. It was also the Arabs who started the slave trade with Dutch as their allies.

When Ferdinand Magellan discovered the Philippines, the Sri Vijayan Empire were already disintigrated. There were frequent wars and skirmishes due to Moro/Dutch marauders who were looking for slaves to trade in the famous Malaca Straight of Sumatra. Due to this, it was said that some people of Panglao migrated to Dapitan.

Even I have not fully understood our ancient history, but this is what I've read from other countries historians such as Britain and Holland. This is not offered in our curriculum nor found in Philippine books. Somehow, Spain have twisted the truth for thier favor and erased some of our past.

I've read a theory that Dinosaurs were big because they never stop growing and they have long life like 200 to a thousand years.

This theory was born because from only an ostrich sized egg, it could grow up to 3 stories high and weigh 10 tons. So it needs at least 200 years to achieve that size at normal cell growth even at the most favorable habitat. For a vertibrate, it is biologically impossible to achieve growth from ostrich size egg at birth to 3-4 stories high considering seasonal migration, mulching, constraints in bone growth, metabolism, no vertibrate can grow like vine in short period of time. So, it has to be at least 200 years or more.

Compared to a blue whale, where it is already a ton when born, so obviously it could grow large.

Maybe because they were born to believe that they are different. So, since childhood na prejudiced na sila sa society, which is very disturbing and its hard for me to imagine how a young child could handle such trauma. Mao nga kung negative thinker ang tao or kun duna silay family history of depression, adto gyud sa pagka katok ang padulngan.

So, maybe we should stop stereotyping people like Japanese are nerds with cameras, February's are weird, blacks are less intellegent, etc.

Nothing can replace concervation.

Incase an instinct species were resurrected, do they have the same behaviour? I believed no. They are just physically resurrected, but thier spirit as wild is already dead.

For example a saber tooth tiger is resurrected, will it learn to hunt? I mean the skill of a species is handed from generation to generation by its ancestors. I don't think it could survive in the wild.

Even until now, humans have not deciphered nor documented a simple language of the animals. Until now, we don't understand how they communicate. In the absence of language, some thought that animals communicate through mental telepahthy. Then if an animal is resurrected, how could he learn thier language if thier known parents are humans.

Tho ang iyang physical characteristic is pinoy. Mao ra ning istoryaha.

Di ba ang Baclayon Church is built on the top of a Hindu tower.

Kanang gargoyle nga head sa kampanaryo sa Baklayon is the image of either a hindu god or Budha (Budha is also an indian with hindu religion).

#549
Naay akong kauban ug trabaho nga Indian nga ga practice ug Pranayama Yoga or the Yoga of Breathing.

Ingon pod niya nga sa ilang ancient nga libro, nga puede nimo ma achieve ang teleportation from one place to another and invisibility.

Pero kung gusto kang makabaton ani nga power, imong i give-up tanan nga material things.

- You know nga pinoy movies kung dili synchronized ang dubbing. Usahay mag una ug lihok ang baba unya ulahi ang sound.

- You know  its pinoy movie kung ang horror instead na nakakatakot, nakakatawa.

- Also listen to the "uwang nang aso" since time of Ang Panday, mao lang nga tape ang gi gamit.

So by viewing this movie, ma inspire sila nga duna pa diay mga tao nga despite sa miserable and hopeless situation sa slums, malipayon gihapon sila & still hopeful.

Americans realized that there is something beautiful down there.

Naa ba diay CR adto.

- You know its a pinoy movie kung ang actor nga gi buwagan sa iyang asawa or uyab mag hubog-hubog ug San Miguel Beer (which is obviously one of the sponsor of the movie).

- Also villains, kontrabidas and hudlums are always drinking Ginebra San Miguel, which is also the same company with San Miguel Beer, the sponsor.

- The rapist will always laugh very loud. Dili ba kaha ma hadlok nga dunay makadungog unya mo report sa police.

Mag huna-huna usa ko.

Also you know its a pinoy movie when there are too many extras as background and you may wonder "Pagkadaghan sa extra, asa kaha ni sila mangalibang".
#561
#562
Simply because people are sick & tired of the usual movies. They want something different and pure.

What makes this movie beautiful is that they are not hiding reality or awkward traditions of Indian culture. They are not ashamed to show their funny side.

On the other hand, Filipino movies are very well paterned/copied to American movies. That's why we never excel because we are always copying others, which makes us only second best to the original. We are always Gaya-gaya puto maya.

Miss you Belle. Gi cancel basin kuno maka cause pa ug hubak. Anyways, I benefit from the self-training.

About this topic, Nuke plants suffered from wrong assumptions and misinformation. Because of its looks, people thought that smoke coming out of its vent is toxic, which is only water vapor to the contrary. There was even a No Nukes concert, I think during the time of Jimmy Carter or Ronald Reagan.

Of course there are hazards to any technology. This is the cheapest, cleanest and less hazzardous to the environment compared to fossil fuels where it is a threat to global warming, marine life in case of oil spill, air pollution, soil pollution, etc.

If we use this alternative, our electric bills would dramatically go down to less than half. With this, we can use electric vehicles. The maintenance of a nuke plant is very low and will require a few workforce.
#566
- Nuclear Power is the cleanest & emission-free source of Energy.

- Radioactive waste can be recycled

- You will receive more radiation from exposing yourself to sunlight than living near a nuke plant. Even Cell phones and microwave ovens have high radiation.

- Inhaling emission from fossil fuel causes a thousand folds of respiratory ailments & cancer than radiation from power plants.

- Smoke coming out of the nuke-plant vent is only water vapour.

- A melt-down or nuclear plant dissaster is a slow process; thus allowing people to evacuate. Among the thousands of nuclear powerplants in the world, only a couple of them have experienced melt-down. Hence, its risk is very negligible.

I support Nuke!

According to Scientists, there are 4 generations of intellegence that possibly exists in this universe asside from having social behavior.
1st generation - to be able to start fire
2nd generation - to be able to split an atom
3rd generation - to be able to travel from one galaxy to another
4th generation - to be able to move planet and stars

If we don't develop nuclear power, we will remain a 1st generation.

So, the last time we met face to face was in 1991 during the height of Gulf War when we fled from the Eastern part of Saudi Arabia to Western part due to bombardment of Scud Missiles.

China has a huge population of remote controlled idiots.

Silence its leaders through American intervention and there you have a sleeping giant.

I say we go to war if needed! It is a matter of determination and courage. Look at Israel against a superpower Russia. There are prophesies that Philippines will become the new Israel.

But the sad reality is, only below 50% of the Filipinos knew that there is a Spratly's islands. The general population will takle with finding food as thier priority on daily basis. While the few so called public servants, politicians and law makers will tackle with defending their position rather than defending their country & people as daily priority.

Quote from: ms da binsi on December 09, 2008, 11:46:29 AM
Here are the nine characteristics we've come up with:

Sense of Humor

Everyone says how important sense of humor is, and I have learned to look for it in women. I am lucky enough to be able to make women laugh, but I'm still super single.

Trustworthy

Trust is the holy grail of a relationship. It takes years to build it, and it is so delicate. There are few things that take so long to attain that can be destroyed so quickly. So a lot of us may finally settle on a very trustworthy person when we finally find that.

Kindness

This seems like a no-brainer, but I've seen plenty of girls stay with guys who don't treat them well. So, I'm thinking that most women look for a nice guy, but the fact of the matter is that mean guys seem to get girlfriends too-and at a better rate than nice guys.

Money
I admit it: I sometimes envision myself marrying rich and sitting there doing nothing. I could lie out on my wife's yacht and host lavish parties and hear about how crazy the Roaring 20's were, when my wife's friends were my age. Money is definitely high on a lot of people's list: remember when Anna Nicole Smith married that really old rich guy? I doubt it was because she thought he was hot, funny, or great in the sack

Confident

Confidence is based on a lot of these characteristics. You are confident if you are talented, super hot, intelligent, or wealthy most likely. But confidence also enables you to treat people better, so you are kind and trustworthy as well. Because confidence includes so many of these other characteristic, it may just be the one major thing women look for in a man.

Talented & Passionate

When someone possesses a special skill, such as visual art or guitar virtuosity, they get tons of girls. People like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Tom Brady can go out with anyone they want because they are skilled. Heck, I'd go out with them. Usually skill occurs in tandem with passion, another attractive quality. When someone is really good at something, but not "hot," it makes sense that they can still attract a lot of women. It's less annoying to see someone like this in a relationship than it is to see a rich mean guy in a relationship.

Intelligent

I am intimidated by women who are more intelligent than I am (which explains why I'm intimidated by about 97% of the female population). For a lot of people, intelligence is sexy. When someone is stupid, it's frustrating and boring, which is enough to drive someone away.

Convenient

One can argue that convenience is a huge driver for a relationship. Does he live near you, is he "ready" to be in a relationship, does he want to have kids or not? Everything matches up correctly. Sure, he may not be the best-looking guy or have a lot of money, but it's just what you need and it's been a long, difficult search.

If we put these characteristics on a pie chart, what would get the biggest piece of the pie with you? Again, some of these characteristics occur together: intelligence and wealth, talent and passion, kindness and generosity, convenience and wealth.

How often do women care about superficial things like money? It's scary, but sometimes I fear that no matter how funny I am, if I had lots of money I could date any cute girl I wanted.

How do all of these characteristics shake out for you when choosing a boyfriend, and are there any you'd add to the list? Does confidence just take all of these characteristics into consideration?

Like for example atong sumay-sumayon ang sinultian sa Inabangga nga untol-untol or taga Loon nga pina gahi or Panglao nga pina humok or Dauis nga pina shortcut.

Known ta sa atong hospitality and action speaks louder.

Gawas pa sa Plan "B", kinahanglan duna pod kay Plan "C" which is Contingency Plan. This is incase of unexpected incidents or events.

So, kung imong i avoid kining 7 deadly sins, unsa kaha ang porma nimo?
