As Mike said earlier, for the person to win this prize, the winner must accurately guess who will be the 44th President-Elect of the United States of America 10 days before the election. The winner will be the first person to guess correctly. And as Mike, our administrator, has mandated, those who can enter this must be an active member of Tubag Bohol, with a pre-set number of posts. Additionally, one must provide proper identification (passport, identification card, email, residency address etc).
Please be serious about this, as the winner will take home P14,700+

Further developments and news will be posted if necessary.

You guys have less than 9 months to research the Presidential candidates and follow discourse.
There will be a winner by November 2008. Who will it be?

The offers that we give and donate are for the sole benefit of Tubag Bohol and in patronage of Mike. Things aside, its also a way of giving back to our brethren sa Bohol and abroad. For someone to give or not to give is their own concern and depends on their willingness to. We don't know that they might be giving kwarta every month to their relatives sa Bohol or wherever ba. It us not for us to judge who should give or not give. I personally found that rude, how you stated that comment to Glen.

Just my point of view.

With complete sincerity,

tinood ka dong bran?  bisa asa dapita sa china?

As far as I know, it is from Cebu to Shanghai.
I'm interested kai I'm planning to go there with my buddy Don; we're planning to stop by Bohol for a couple of weeks, then take a 4-5 day tour in China--see some hot spots, then come back to Cebu-Bohol.

The 100 bucks total fare are for American citizens, from what I remember and this doesn't include visas for entry into the PRC. Don will have to pay for an additional fee for a tour visa, and since I'm a dual citizen, won't have to pay. Philippine citizens can enter China without visa for a 30-day tour basis.

Cebu Pacific offers great deals jud. Affordable pa.

it cud happen to human someday

It has happened to humans, thus there are deformalities such as siamese twins, which is the exact replication of the said molecular phenomenon only it affects the genus Sapiensis, and the species Homo Sapien.

Any further mutation on humans where there are two faces in the skull would lead to the death of the said organism due to the problems that would arise, neurophysiologically.

The reasons why there are no popular-documented cases of this is that upon conception, any mutanogensis of this type would result in the eukaryotic deletion of the mutant wilde type in the uterus.

Higher echelon organisms have a 3'----5' proofreading sequence that scans for such mutanogensis and if such an advent occurs, will correct it so that the nucleotides that are out of place are replaced with proper base-pairing nucleotides.

Its is part of the complex and assidual nature of the DNA Polymerase I and DNA polymerase III

Dong, for the sinners, they should not commit that many times kay it's not good for our soul na makapasakit ta ug kasingkasing sa tawo.  There's nothing more troubling to me than knowing that I hurt people to their deepest core.  Sins can be forgiven but it's nice that there's no sin to forgive at all.

Yes, very true. A sin against our neighbor is a sin against the Lord himself for it was said that our bodies are a holy temple, where the Holy Spirit resides in. Beautiful kaayo ang parable ni Jesus kai it tells us, the forgiveness and compassion of the Father. He who forgives all and washes away their iniquities like a water cleaning the body from grime. Just as the Father forgives, so too must we, who are part of his temple.

The saying goes, "To err his human, but to Forgive is Divine"

Its caused by the wrong synthesis of aminoacyl t-RNA that attached in the A site of the 50S ribosomal subunit. The aminoacyl t-RNA, im guessing didn't react properly with the peptidyl synthetase, which is responsible for the cleaving of the fMET-based acylated tRNA on the P-site, thus causing a deliberation of the wrong amino acid and protein nature in the translation and elongation within the genetic variance.

This ultimately led to the pragmatic and wrong proliferation of AER (Apical ectodermal ridge) which led to the manifesting of a bi-modal facial state.

It is part of nature's 'mistakes'.
Naturally, this organism would have died, without proper human intervention, its fate would be death.

Interesting article :)

Freedom of speech  does come with responsibility; else those who do are selective in only freedom of speech with out moral and ethical responsibility are nihilists and pragmatists that encite only a one sided view. It is with responsibility that one conjures not only a social contract but a divine apprehension of what will happen to he or she after the said act. Just as what your namesake dictates, "ubuntu" is the term utilized by southern Africans, most popularly noted were the South Africans during the post-Apartheid epoch of South Africa. It was the cultural dictum of 'ubuntu' that allowed aggrieved South African Blacks to 'forgive' the crimes and violations of the Dutch-South Africans. This particular example, is an example of proper social etiquette, not only in society that we live in, but also in the boards. After all, it is our character that is judged in the process.

I was told that he was offered an economist's position in the United States that proposed an annual salary of $85,000; starting salary. This would have doubled with years of duty or had he acquired his MBA.

He turned down possibility of American citizenship, and a privileged lifestyle to serve his people and town.

To me, that is the epitome of a LEADER. He is what Bohol needs. Educated and trained in the United States and now giving back to the land of his birth.

May he be an inspiration for others.

Underwater Hotel under construction in Dubai

Currently under construction in Dubai , Hydropolis is the world's first underwater luxury hotel. It will include three elements: the land station, where guests will be welcomed, the connecting tunnel, which will transport people by train to the main area of the hotel, and the 220 suites within the submarine leisure complex. It is one of the largest contemporary construction projects in the world, covering an area of 260 hectares, about the size of London 's Hyde Park .

This will be a hotel where those who do not dive - or do not even swim - can experience the tranquillity and inspiration of the underwater world.

In order to enter this surreal space, visitors will begin at the land station. This 120m woven, semicircular cylinder will arch over a multi-storey building.

The upper storeys of the land station house a variety of facilities, including a cosmetic surgical clinic, a marine biological research laboratory and conference facilities

The world of science fiction becoming reality.

The shallow water hotel will be shaped as a bowl and will be positioned on the sea ground, according to Hohmann. The deep water version is floating in the sea with anchors on the ground.

The bowl will be constructed externally and then positioned on the location. It will then be emptied of the water and equipped with huge aquariums as an attraction for the guests. "At the shallow water hotel, guests are exposed to big fish tanks that contain controlled water and fish, since shallow water is muddy and not transparent. At the deep water hotel, visitors are looking directly into the sea

Before they send tanks to Kosovo, the Serbial military brass need to remember that the US Atlantic Fleet will be dispatched, and with it, thousands of marines, elite tactical units and  its share of naval bombardment if they so dare to enter Kosovo's territory. A PINOY LAB STORY

Dang, a beautiful Filipina fell in love with Edong.

She planned to marry very soon. She was so happy about
her wedding
plans, she decided to tell her Tatay (dad).

Her Tatay told her, "Dang, you'll have to find
another. Your Nanay
(mom) does not know this, but Edong is your
half-brother" .

So Dang forgot about her Edong, and soon planned to
marry Ricardo.
But after telling tatay again, he said, "Dang, anak ko
(my child),
there's trouble still. You cannot marry Ricardo.
Please don't tell
your mother, but Ricardo and Edong are your
half-brothers. "

Dang had no choice but to go to her Nanay. Nanay
already knew and
said "Anak ko, do what makes you happy. Marry Ricardo
or marry
Edong, because you are not related to your Tatay."

Kuyawa pood na'ng nanay uy! Greatest secret of all man diay na. :P

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning? WITNESS: He said, "Where am I, Cathy?" ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you? WITNESS: My name is Susan! ____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact? WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks. ____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active? WITNESS: No, I just lie there. ____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory? WITNESS: I forget. ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot? ___________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo? WITNESS: We both do. ATTORNEY: Voodoo? WITNESS: We do. ATTORNEY: You do? WITNESS: Yes, voodoo. ____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning? WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam? ____________________________________

ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the twenty-year-old, how old is he? WITNESS: Uh, he's twenty. ___________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken? WITNESS: Are you shitt'in me? _________________________________________

ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time? WITNESS: Uh.... I was gett'in laid! ____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: She had three children, right? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: How many were boys? WITNESS: None. ATTORNEY: Were there any girls? WITNESS: Are you shitt'in me? Your Honor, I think I need a different attorney. Can I get a new attorney? ____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated? WITNESS: By death. ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated? WITNESS: Now whose death do you suppose terminated it? ____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual? WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard. ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female? WITNESS: Guess. _____________________________________

ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney? WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work. ______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people? WITNESS: All my autopsies are performed on dead people. Would you like to rephrase that? _________________________________________

ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to? WITNESS: Oral. _________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body? WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m. ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time? WITNESS: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy on him! ____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample? WITNESS: Huh....are you qualified to ask that question? ______________________________________

And the best for last:

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor? WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar. ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless? WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law

LOL! Hahahaha!

Lyrics:

y aunque queden pocos restos
en seal de lo que fue
seguiras cerca y muy dentro te amare
te amare, te amare a golpe de recuerdo
te amare, te amare hasta el ultimo momento
A pesar de todo, siempre te amare

Dear Professor______________

From the moment my eyes caught a glimpse of your smile, you captured and garnered my complete attention, since my freshman year. You aided this poor college student's hands when they trembled in fear as I first utilized the electron microscope, pipettes, agar slides, hydrolysis machine, and the all-lovable electrophoresis utencil. Whenever I made a mistake, instead of abolishing my actions with negative comments, you raised me up with compliments and positive correction, and enticed my interest in the field of Biological Science. Dr_____________, your passion for teaching, your vivid descriptions captured the interest of students and I; always with your random and out-of-the-ordinary tendencies.

I will miss you next year, to be prevented from hearing your voice next year will be a different experience. You have been my guiding light in academics, teaching me the right path, the correct steps, and even if mistakes were made, you taught me to learn from the said mistakes, and turn failure into success. You are, truly, the epitome of what a Professor of Biology should be.

A shining star to your students, a model to your colleagues, and an inspiration to those who yearn to achieve.

May you continue to change and influence more lives, as you did so to this humble and average student.

Your Student,
Your Friend,
Humbly,
A. Lorenzo Lucino Jr.

haha, bitaw, 'te. I can still remember being a little boy and driving with my Lolo Ciano to the Basak to inspect my Lolo's rice lands. So vast, and so rich in fertility. I can still remember trudging through the stream that cut through his basak, and then back. Valencia is blessed with such fertility and such hard working citizens.

That makes Valencia, one of the shining stars of Bohol.
God Bless Valencia, Bohol!
