Love Talk / Re: Kiss, my first kiss!

kung pwede pa lang. kantahan sad nako siya ug... sayang sinta ang sinumpaan. ang pagtitinginang tunay. nais ko nang kalimutang ganap ang ating suyoan at galak....

bitaw. we are not really meant for each other gyud kay besides puppy pa lang to amoa. bunga sa kabatan-on pa to. unlike karon nga mature na ug nahibaw na what's good or bad. i was also able to fulfill my personal wish to marry at the age of 30. kay mostly akong mga close friends nag ingon ug nanagna nga maminyo ko at a young age ug dili mahuman ug skwela kay pwerte nako ka chixboy sa ulitawo pako. pero pwera buyag, natuman jud akong goal nga maminyo ug tarong ug wala sad koy napamabdosan bisan usa. ;D

for me, parliamentary is good. diha makit-an kung kinsa ang maayong modala ug probinsiya unya. plus dili na unya madominar ang tanan kay ang tagsa ka probinsiya aduna nay ilang kaugalingong senador ug representante nya pwede na dili magdungan ug eleksyon. presidente nalang ang butaran sa tanang tawo ug dungan every 6 years.

ilabina gayud sa palikerong ulitawo

Love Talk / Re: Kiss, my first kiss!
December 30, 2008, 02:31:39 AM
di jud ko kalimot sa akong first kiss sa akong first GF. as in kung pwede balikon, balikon jud nako. akong 1st love/GF is a good singer. and she always sing at school whenever there is an activity at school. she was 14 and i was 15 then. there was 1 school activity at that time after our 1st kiss and guess what she sung at that moment... unang halik. all the people in the school knew that im her BF and she was my GF. they all look at me and they smiled. i can't really describe my feelings at that time. i blushed, flattered and proud that she relayed to the people what she felt on our first kiss.

UNANG HALIK.

'Sang saglit ng ubod-tagal
Unang halik ng 'yong mahal
Isang saglit lang nang matikman
Isang saglit lang parang walang hanggan
'Yan ang iyong unang halik

Kailan ba 'yon, kay tagal na
Ngunit tamis naroon pa
Tuwing ang mata'y mapipikit
Bakit tamis kusang nagbabalik
Kukupas pa ngunit hindi
Ang alaala mo ng una mong halik

REFRAIN
Puso mo'y maghahanap
Muli at muli kang magmamahal
Lahat ay malilimot mo
Ngunit hindi, ngunit hindi ang...

Iyong unang halik
Unang tibok ng pusong sabik
Isang saglit lang nang matikman
Isang saglit lang, parang walang hanggan
Limutin mo man, mahirap gawin
Dahil damdamin mo sumisigaw
Mapipi man ang 'yong bibig
Kay tamis ng una mong halik

actually my in-laws keeps on calling us because they wanted us and the kids to be with them on christmas eve. same thing with my parents but i think we can't make it because my wife is still going to have work on the 24th. maybe by 25th we can go there. we will just celebrate christmas at home with some pasta, chicken, macaroni and fruit salad maybe, wine and ice cream and nuggets. we already have the food to prepare, it will be cooking time for me as im the one left at home. my kids love to eat chicken nuggets that's why we included it in the menu plus their favorite pineapple juice.

may your family have a blessed christmas and prosperous new year pareng enzo.

the old balilihan church is now destroyed and what was left is the belfry which stood on top of what they called bandelion hill. the other remnant is a pillar near the residence of the requirme's and racho's in which it can be seen in the facade/aisle of the new church which is built in the early 1900's. the belfry in which they called the place, is now protected and developed and is now considered as one of the historical spots in bohol. at the foot of the hill is a spring called tampiro where people take a bath and wash their clothes near the annex building of the central school which is known in balilihan as pre-pub.

The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112--Fiction!

There is no single emergency number in use world wide.  The number 112 is used in some countries but not all.  Many countries also use 119, 999, and 911.  Additionally, not all phones would in all countries to be able to even try dialing a single emergency code.

You Can Unlock Your Car Remotely Through a Cell Phone-Fiction!
This was an eRumor that previously circulated on its own.  The claim is that if you lock yourself out of your car but have a extra remote switch at your home  you can phone someone at home, have the person hold the switch up to the phone, then you hold your cell phone near your car door and when the button on the other remote is pressedâ€"your car door will open.   This one is also false.  It assumes that car remotes use sound waves to open your door but most of them use radio signals, not sound.  A radio signal will not travel over the audio of a cell phone.

There may be hidden battery power in your cell phone-Fiction!
If there is a phone that offers this feature, we have not found it. The eRumor claims that if you punch in a certain code on your cell phone you will access reserve power.  It mentions Nokia in particular but the folks at Nokia told TruthOrFiction.com that they do not have any phone with that capability.

Important Number you should note

If you travel to work on the tube please note the following information: If your mobile phone has no signal (so even if you were in a tunnel) if you dial 112 it diverts to a satellite signal and puts you through to the 999 call centre.

ALL phone companies have signed up and as it is a satellite service it also gives them a trace to you if you don't know where you are

What are Sea Sponges Used for?

Sea sponges are very simple animals that live on the ocean floor. They attach themselves permanently to an anchorage, and move sea water through their bodies, filtering out tiny organisms for food. The channels that the water flows through account for their hole-riddled structure, and is what makes their composition so useful.

They are harvested by divers; sponge-diving has been a family tradition in many areas around the Mediterranean Sea and off the coast of Florida in the U.S. They have been used as cleaning tools for thousands of years.

Manufactured cellulose sponges have decreased the market for natural sea sponges, and for common household cleaning use, they are certainly sufficient and much cheaper. Still, there are some applications where you might want to spend the extra money to get the genuine article.

If you love your car, you might want a large natural sea sponge to wash it with. When wet, sea sponges are very soft, much softer than their artificial cousins, and much less likely to damage a finish.

Some women prefer the gentle texture of a sea sponge to apply makeup, and remove it. Artists have always used sea sponges, both in clean-up of their tools and as another way to apply paint to a surface. Home decorators are now often 'sponging' paint on walls to create a particular look, such as a faux marble or stone.

One of the most interesting recent (and more than likely ancient) applications of sea sponges is as natural tampons. Several lines of natural bodycare products now offer sea sponge tampons, which are nothing more than sea sponges of a particular size. The sea sponge is soaked in water, squeezed as dry as possible, and then inserted into the vagina, where it absorbs the menstrual flow. If it is uncomfortable, the user can simply trim away some of the sponge to get a more comfortable 'fit'. The sponge can be removed and rinsed and reinserted every few hours until the user's cycle has ceased. It can then be cleaned with vinegar, or peroxide and air dried before being stored for future use. When cleaned properly, a sea sponge used as a tampon can last six months or more, and is much more earth-friendly than disposable tampons. They also do not carry the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome that regular tampons pose.

Sea sponges are a renewable resource; unless the oceans become too polluted for them to live, we can count on a steady supply.

Business and Economy / Re: Collapse of US Car Companies
December 19, 2008, 11:33:39 PM
Bailout approved: Automakers to get $17.4B

AP â€" President George W. Bush makes comments on the auto industry, Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, in the Roosevelt … WASHINGTON â€" Citing danger to the national economy, the Bush administration approved an emergency bailout of the U.S. auto industry Friday, offering $17.4 billion in rescue loans in exchange for concessions from the deeply troubled carmakers and their workers.

The government will have the option of becoming a stockholder in the companies, much as it has with major banks, in effect partially nationalizing the industry.

At the same time, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said Congress should release the second $350 billion from the financial rescue fund that it approved in October to bail out huge financial institutions. Tapping the fund for the auto industry basically exhausts the first half of the $700 billion total, he said.

President Bush said, "Allowing the auto companies to collapse is not a responsible course of action." Bankruptcy, he said, would deal "an unacceptably painful blow to hardworking Americans" across the economy.

One official said $13.4 billion of the money would be available this month and next, $9.4 billion for General Motors Corp. and $4 billion for Chrysler LLC. Both companies have said they soon might be unable to pay their bills without federal help. Ford Motor Co. has said it does not need immediate help.

Bush's plan is designed to keep the auto industry running in the short term, passing the longer-range problem on to the incoming administration of President-elect Barack Obama.

Bush said the rescue package demanded concessions similar to those outlined in a bailout plan that was approved by the House but rejected by the Senate a week ago. It would give the automakers three months to come up with restructuring plans to become viable companies.

If they fail to produce a plan by March 31, the automakers will be required to repay the loans, which they would find very difficult.

"The time to make hard decisions to become viable is now, or the only option will be bankruptcy," Bush said. "The automakers and unions must understand what is at stake and make hard decisions necessary to reform."

He said the companies' workers should agree to wage and work rules that are competitive with foreign automakers by the end of next year.

And he called for elimination of a "jobs bank" program â€" negotiated by the United Auto Workers and the companies â€" under which laid-off workers receive unemployment benefits and supplemental pay from their companies for 48 weeks. If they remain laid off beyond that, they move to a jobs bank in which the company provides about 95% of their pay and benefits. Until the most recent contract, people could remain in the jobs bank for years. Early this month, the UAW agreed to suspend the program.

Under terms of the loan, GM and Chrysler must provide the government with stock warrants giving it the option to buy GM and Chrysler stock at a specific price.

In addition, the automakers would be required to agree to limits on executive pay and eliminate some perks such as corporate jets.

Paulson said that with the help for the carmakers, the government will have allocated the first half of the largest government bailout program in history.

He said he was confident that the Treasury Department, Federal Reserve and Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. have the resources to address a significant market crisis if one should occur before Congress approves the use of the second half of the rescue fund.

Paulson said he would discuss the process with congressional leaders and Obama's transition team "in the near future."

The White House package is the lifeline desperately sought by U.S. automakers, who warned they were running out of money as the economy fell deeper into recession, car loans became scarce and consumers stopped shopping for cars.

The carmakers have announced extended holiday shutdowns. Chrysler is closing all 30 of its North American manufacturing plants for four weeks because of slumping sales; Ford will shut 10 North American assembly plants for an extra week in January, and General Motors will temporarily close 20 factories â€" many for the entire month of January â€" to cut vehicle production.

Bush said the auto manufactures have faced serious challenges for many years: burdensome costs, a shrinking share of the market and plunging profits. "In recent months, the global financial crisis has made these challenges even more severe," he said.

The president said that on the one hand, the government has a responsibility not to undermine the private enterprise system, yet on the other hand, it must safeguard the broader health and stability of the U.S. economy.

"If we were to allow the free market to take its course now, it would almost certainly lead to disorderly bankruptcy and liquidation for the automakers," he said.

"Under ordinary economic circumstances, I would say this is the price that failed companies must pay," the president said. "And I would not favor intervening to prevent the automakers from going out of business. But these are not ordinary circumstances.

"In the midst of a financial crisis and a recession, allowing the U.S. auto industry to collapse is not a responsible course of action."

Chrysler CEO Bob Nardelli thanked the administration for its help.

In a statement Friday morning, Nardelli said the initial injection of capital will help the company get through its cash crisis and help eventually return to profitability. He said Chrysler was committed to meeting the conditions set by Bush in exchange for the money.

Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally said his company would not seek the short-term financial assistance but predicted the aid would stabilize the industry.

"The U.S. auto industry is highly interdependent, and a failure of one of our competitors would have a ripple effect that could jeopardize millions of jobs and further damage the already weakened U.S. economy," Mulally said.

General Motors said the short-term loans would help preserve jobs and "lead to a leaner, stronger General Motors."

"We know we have much work in front of us to accomplish our plan. It is our intention to continue to be transparent as we execute our plan, and we will provide regular updates on our progress," the automaker said.

actually im a depositor of pilipino rural bank, ac cortes branch in mandaue. though it's not a big amount but i put that savings for my kids future. since im reading newspapers daily, i read the news about the legacy's loss in their case against BSP so i didn't waste time, i withdrew all the money in my savings account a day after. more than a week had past, PRB declared bank holiday.

it should come out in the future. but they still have to fix the bugs and glitches to make it more appealling to the masses the same way people embraced opera and firefox.

seaweeds or agar agar farming is the number source of income of the badjaos in sulu and tawi-tawi.

all internet browsers are backwards compatible and compatible to other dependent apps just like what firefox and opera does. google chrome is still in the works and it's in the beta stage. too many bugs and glitches found that's why it's not going to be available in early 2009.

elegant shops and boutiques that can be found in ayala center and sm north wing are not depending on the majority who are within and below the poverty level. most of their customers are businessmen and socialites who wanted to buy signature shoes, shirts, bags, jeans and among others that are not usually found or advertised on tv but only on fashion and lifestyle mags. and the majority doesn't read those type of magazines at all.

Catigbian - Bohol / Re: Doctor to the Barrio
December 17, 2008, 11:32:08 PM
The boholana who topped the 2008 Physicians' Licensure Examination was Edilfavia Mae Suaybaguio Uy. She's 26 years old who hails from Tagbilaran City and a product of Cebu Doctor's University. She's planning to specialize internal medicine and undergo residency training in the US but she will come back here in RP to serve her countrymen.

Uy graduated valedictorian in both elementary and high school at Bohol Wisdom School before she took BS Psychology as her pre-med course at CDU where she graduated magna cum laude last 2001. She then proceeded to medicine at the same university and graduated as cum laude with 18 honors last April 2006.

She's the eldest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Edilfonso Uy.
