Ate Ging, bitaw, Mr. Lindy is correct.

You should sell your cookies via net. Lami kaayo!!!!

My god, as in! Delicious kaayo and you feel so guilty to eat it kai the decorations are so beautiful.

Bitaw, Mr. Lindy.

When I was doing my summer internship at the Cleveland Clinic, i shadowed an orthopedic surgeon around the floor for 2 weeks. We're good friends, actually. And the first time I met him, he shook my hands and asked if I was Filipino. I acquiesced and told him I was Filipino, and he said, "Great, we need more Filipino docs." I toured around the floor, form ICU, OR, ER, PCU with him and I tell you, with my own eyes, i was rotating in the Cleveland Clinic, the 3rd largest medical clinic in the United States. Most of the nursing staff were Filipino. I knew they were there even before seeing them because of their voices/accents.

There are also alot of Filipino doctors, mostly though they are concentrated in GI, ER, FM, Cardio and GenSurg.

There was one Filipino Neurosurgeon who I talked to in that internship. Very short siya, probably 5'2, he looks very humble and docile, pero when he talks, his voice is thunder-esque. You knew this guy was intelligent, and knew what he was talking about. Filipinos are very concrete jud when they do something. And they mean business.

Ask Ate Belle, she's an R.N. She's probably stricta kaayo in the work place.

We felt like kids again to receive such goods from your Ante Ging. Its not everyday that someone does that for college guys.

So yea Ate Ging, Bryan extends his regards and thanks for that cake you baked for us!!
We'll toast to you this weekend!

Francine,

I'm sorry that you had to cry today, but you know I cannot just change a grade because one person cries, if I lived by that policy, then I'd have to extend that to everyone. Do you understand? I don't know what to say. Didn't I tell the lab group that you will be having a quizz on Monday? You guys had all weekend to study and review for this; and its not like the material wasn't covered by Dr. Klein in Molecular lecture. I'm sorry, that you had to shed a tear, but I am firm with my decision.

There will be more opportunities for quizzes this semester, and if worse comes to worse, you can still retake the lab next semester.

Be strong, learn from your mistakes, everything is a process.

Your Instructor,
B.L. Lucino

Chinese are overcompeting. Pero they are all about quantity, dili quality.

Take for example, the physicians and nurses in the US and Canada that are of Filipino background are preferred by patients. Over Indian, Arab, Chinese, even white physicians.

That is the difference. Filipino is always associated with 'Quality'.

World Daily News / Caesar Augustus
March 06, 2008, 01:52:17 AM

Ad eundum quo nemo ante iit, Ave Caesar Agustus! Imperador et Imperium Romanum!!

Caesar Augustus, the First Emperor of the Roman Empire.
With his Mighty Hand, he crushed dissidents and accusers of His Throne, and Expanded the Reaches of the Roman Empire to the very beaches of Britannia, the deserts of Numidia, the Nile of Egypt, to the exotic trade routes of Parthianium, to the frigid regions of Slavonic Lands in Eastern Europe.

With His Mighty Rule, the Empire Prospered and the period of Pax Romana reverberated throughout the known world. Roman Culture was the Law, and Caesar was God. The Greatest Empire in Western History was born. The Empire controlled large parts of 3 continents (Europium, Africanium, Asificum), over 1/4th of the population of the world lived and died under the Rule of the Caesars.

Alexander the Great.

He conquered 3 continents. Before he was 25 he was Ruler of Greece, King of Macedonia, Pharaoh of Egypt, along with other titles.

Why he can be considered great.:

He took what he and his father started and refined it to do the following.

1.He created set roles for members of his army.
2.Refined the weapons to be used by each person.
3.He for the first time in history provided ALL members of his army with what they needed for batttle. (provision and weapons and armor)
4. Established a standard for education for children to learn in school to make them ready for the army when they were of age.
5.He payed his troops for every day as enlisted men, not random civil regements.
6.He opened endless trade routs and founded / rebuilt more then 40 cities.
7.He in the late portion of his short life begain to merge all races together.
8.Founded the great Library in Alexandria Egypt.
9.Proved use of a profetional army was the best way to wage war. Not civil draft (peasant) armies.

You are right, Anna.

From reading about Alexander the Great, one cannot fathom how a mere prince of a small Macedonian state was capable of uniting the once feeble and discontinous Greek city states into a mobilized force that dared take on the might of the Persian Empire. The small Greek states were able in taking down the Mighty Bull that was Persia, extending his empire to the very gates of India.

Man's ingenuity and raw determination is manifested in the life of Alexander. He achieved so much in his young life, that many of his cohorts, upon his death, regarded him as a Demi-God.

He was a brilliant tactician, conquoring not only Persia, but Egypt and the Nile. His Legend precedes him.

I am with you on this, Mike. Ngek!

I can remember my first experience of Balut in Cebu when I was younger. My father and I went there to visit relatives and we stopped by a local food stand, I can remember the food vendor yelling out in vocal purity, "Balut, Balut, Baluuuuut, Balut, Bablut, Baluuuuut". My father bought 3; two for him and 1 for me to try, as I foolishly wanted to try it. As I cracked the egg, I saw a duck's eye staring at me. Then I looked at my father, as he was sprinkling salt on the balut and eating it with satisfaction in his eyes. So, respectfully, I dared to test my own. I ate half of it, until my stomach declared me to cease such practice. Father finished my sample.

From that time on, I will never try Balut again. Specially not when a fetus is staring at me like that.

What are the policies of Mayor Duterte diay?
Forgive me for my ignorance on local political discourse, Mike and Ate Ging.

Dong, he is a hands-on kind of Mayor.  I can't tell exactly what the policies are but I guess just the same as the other Mayors'policies except that he sees to it that these policies are followed through to the best it can be.  However, his ways are not so friendly especially to the bad elements and to some extent, sa mga human rights fighter.  Let's just have this off-record ang detalye for reason I will tell you later sa chat.

Salamat, 'te.

So would you say he is in some ways similar to Marcos during his early years?

I am amazed at how many ships and boats that traverse the shores of the Philippines; linking our islands together in commerce.

I agree, when one is corrected by friends, absorb it. Learn from their message and apply it if it is for the better. That is when you know a friend cares for you, when he or she cares how you present yourself.

Beautiful kaayo, Ate Blue.

:)

Despite the fasting of Lent, it reminds me of the coming Easter Season. And my heart becomes glad to be reminded of that.

If they do not believe in Christ, they cannot attain eternal life. One cannot see or know the father, only through the Son. Who died for our sins.

James 2:19-26
19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that and shudder.
20 You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
21 Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?
22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.
23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend.
24 You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?
26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead..."

Colossians 1:3-14
12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins..."
