Anyway, just expressing my two cents.

This Easter Season and the reflections I've made during the mourning of the Lord's dying on the cross for our sins, has taught me one lesson jud. Let not pride blind us to the things that matter most. For it is pride jud that always makes us think we are right. And I realize that I am guilty of this, my brothers and sisters. And I am sorry for this sin, which we all share. As our Saviour died on the cross to forgive our sins, so too must we learn of his path. Instead of dropping our cross that we bear, let us hold on to it.

I read one beautiful excerpt on the bible while in mass the other day and it said,

And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32

Amen, to all you my brothers and sisters.
A Blessed Easter to you All.

I thought snow time is finally over but we had snow storm yesterday. Today when I woke up, I was so amazed to see how beautiful the day is.
With the sun and snow, I feel so grateful to experience and see God's wonderful creation.

A quote from e.e. cummings:

I thank You God for most this amazing
day; for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes.

Absolutely beautiful.

Utterly bone chilling, yet soothing.

Completely harmonious.

Life always has a way of coming back even in the deepest and coldest times.
God's Love and His Comforting Hand is always on our backs. Heavenly Father, thank you for the life you give us and the blessings we see everyday and all around us that shows us your presence. For thou art glorious in all YOUR works. Gracious and blessed are we, O Lord, for the blessings you rain down upon us.
As your only begotten son rose from the dead on the third day and now sitteth on thy right hand, let us all, also, rise above all our challenges, all our faults, all our sins, and all our problems. For mercy and salvation are ours as you promised us by the coming and dying of Thy Only Son, Christ Jesus.

Lord. Blessed are you in all thy works. Eternal Praise Are Yours. Now and Forever.

God Bless you guys, growing taller and stronger before your Kuya Bran's eyes.

Now, I can no longer,
There was a time I could lift you both on my shoulders with ease,

Despite the distance that separates us from each other,
Always know that Your Kuya will always be here for You.

Kyle, your reaction reminded me of my brother andre. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The last time I went back home for winter break, my parents were working and my lil bros asked me to cook them something. So I asked them "what do you guys want to eat?"

They didnt imply anything specific, so I cooked them liver. Liver with some potatoes, onions, green pepers and a some toyo with some black pepper for spicing.

I liked it, specially with the rice. My brother Don liked it, but when my baby bro Andre sat down and smelled it, he said something that made me burst out laughing.

He said, "OoooooOoO, Kuya what is this? This thing??"

hahahahaha!

I said to him, "Its liver and onions, 'dre! Ka un na uy, ug di ka mo ka on, i-latuson jud ka nako 'ron"
So he ate it, but his facial expression was very interesting. LOL.
I think at first he didn't like it but he eventually liked it because he asked for 2nd rounds raba. hahaha

Facts and Trivia / Re: Do You Know Your Physics???
March 14, 2008, 04:22:59 AM
To Beth and Kyle.

Both of you have very good reasonings, but the answer is

C: The water level became lower.

Reasoning: While the bricks are in the boat, the buoyant force supports the boat, student, and bricks. When the bricks are thrown into the water and sink to the bottom of the pool, the buoyant force supports mainly the boat and student, since the bricks are now supported by the bottom of the pool. (There is a small buoyant force on the brick due to the volume of water they displace, but it small compared to the weight of the bricks.) Since the buoyant force supports less weight with the bricks in the pool, less volume of water is displaced, and the pool water level decreases.

A curious college physics student places a row boat in a swimming pool, loads the boat with a number of bricks, and rows to the center of the pool. Once there, the student carefully notes the water level, throws the bricks into the swimming pool and once again notes the water level. Eureka !! the student exclaims, I was right. What had happened to the water level in the pool?

     A. Nothing, the water level did not change.
     B. The water level increased due to the bricks thrown into the pool.
     C. The water level became lower.
     D. I can't swim, and don't even like water (or bricks).

Merciful Lord, who prayed that there be one flock and one shepherd,
I ask the light of faith
for those who are related to me
and do not know You in Your Eucharistic Presence.
Give them the joy of Your protecting presence.
Bring them into the one fold
of which You are the master and Lord.
Forgive them their sins and teach them the way of repentance.
In the end bring them into the larger circle of Your family,

I ask this through Christ Jesus, who is the Life, the Way and the Resurrection.

In the Name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end.

Amen.

didto sa among lugar Ms Belle kung Biernes santo daghan man ug tawo kay manimba man mi
unja kadtong naa sa bukid bukid motugbung ma sa centro para mosimba sab mao nga alegri gamay ug holy week.

That is really wonderful, Brownman. Kanang holy week, it not only celebrates the life, works, message, and death and rise of Jesus Christ. But also, it makes a sense of 'community' for everyone in every municipality diba? People from every barrio, every barangay, come down to the local church to give praises jud. Its so beautiful jud, because you know this phenomenon has been going on since the beginning of our christian faith.

The early church fathers, in what is now Judea, in coptic egypt and in the early roman empire would celebrate easter and holy week. Their faith was strong, seeing themselves as soldiers of christ and followers of the true word and traditions with it. For 2000 years we have kept and practiced our faith, and our traditions which stems back to ancient of days. This sense of 'community' is what links our church and our faith; not only in Philippines, but in Latin America, Africa, Europe, Middle East etc.

Very heart warming jud.
I've been to a Santo semana when I was younger with my Lolo and Lola in Valencia.
Everyone, from the bukid, to the plains to the urbanos came to church, and there was a feast for the people. Daghaan kaayo ang tawo. It was if all of Valencia was there, some 10,000+ people to celebrate mass. When the church was filled, there were still people outside the church, standing and listening to the word and message of the priest. And to think, every single one of us there was called to visit His House by the Holy Spirit.

God Truly Is Present in our hearts :)

Its 5:25 AM.

I'm finished reviewing for this upcoming exam this Friday. I hit the point where I know the subject material like the back of my palm, for the past 2 weeks I've been reviewing for this midterm exam. I am happy, however, that I reviewed for this exam this much because the material covered is extensive. 4 chapters worth of information, ranging from molecular attenuation, Aporepressor activation, transcription complex, CAP-cAMP dimerization complex, ribonucleotidic interactions, elongation theory, etc.

I stayed up for over 9 hours to re-review, and help 2 other people with questions in understanding attenuation complex. I must admit that explaining things to people helps in retaining the information.

I'm running on 4 hours of sleep for the past 2 days. This entire week, I've been having an average of 3-4 hours of sleep.

I can't wait till this Friday; spring break starts and I can finally revert back to my normal sleeping schedule.

Its wierd, tho because one gets used to having only 4 hours of sleep. Or even running on 4 hours of sleep for the past 2 days. Coffee really does wonders, lol.

Other than that, my day wasn't that bad. Can't complain.

Yes.

Especially when you are there by yourself at night, 'te.
At first, I would be scared, naturally my senses tell me to beware of the dark.
But it is different when you're at church, in total darkness, the only light are the candles illuminating the blessed sacrament. Its like a test of faith, 'te, you know? For me, its like the world, there is darkness and the only light that guides my path is the Lord our God, the Heart of Christ Jesus, my saviour, is the one that luminates my way. I come to him, like sheep looking for my sheppard. Everytime I enter church at night, 'te, its like I am greeted by Him. No word can explain the feelings I feel when I am there. There is just total trust you give to him. One time, 'te, I really didn't even want to leave church after doing adorations to the sacrament. I wanted to sleep there, to stay there. In the dark of night, there was no fear in my heart.

For whom shall we be afraid when Christ is with us?
For what shall hurt us when the Lord holds us in the palm of his hand?
Nothing in this world, seen or unseen, can harm you when you are in the House of God.

I bow to men and women who work with mathematics and excel in its theories. Its a gift jud.

As for me, I can do math, but its not one of my favorite subjects. I'm more science oriented.

I really have a high regard for mathematicians, statisticians, theorists etc., the way their brain works is superb. Keep up the work, guys, and more power to those who love Math!

Mr. Daray, you have my respect, sir.

Wow, your skills are above par, guys!

Alright, lessons will begin again.

I haven't actually visited the blessed Sacrament in the middle of the night but back when I was still in Cagayan de Oro, I visited the blessed Sacramento many times at late night like 8 to 9 p.m.  Quite solemn.

Mao ba Ate Ging?

You know it really is different when you go to an adoration with a group of people and when you go to one by yourself alone. I personally prefer being there at night, when the church is in total darkness, besides the candles that are lit before the Tabernacle and the Sacrament.

I can pour out my tears and my emotions so easily. I feel that I am there one-on-one with my Lord. No one else besides me and Him.

The experience is so powerful, mo hilak jud ko.

       A Youth

Oh ! thin youth
Sailing in the bay lot.
Moving the low boat
Singing the bee song.

Oh! how wonderful
Being a youth
A youth there, a youth here
A youth anywhere.

Its a sad case of hypocrisy, Precious.

I have no patience nor pity for those who sing such a tune.

There is a saying that answers such deeds, "Woe to the man who digs his own grave and jumps in it, but blessings for the man who has been tossed into a grave yet climbs out of it in his own free will."

I visited the Blessed Sacrament of the Heart of Christ yesterday.
Have you guys ever visited in the middle of the night?
I really recommend it, when there is no one there. I went there last night and did the stations of the cross on my knees, until it lead me to the blessed sacrament of Christ Jesus. Powerful kaayo ang experience--one is reduced to tears by the end of the adoration.

The Lord died went to the cross for us, guys, because he LOVED us that much.
Give back pood to him, not only by words, but by actions. Not only by faith, but by deeds.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Matthew 25:41-46

For we must all appear before the jugment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

2 Corinthians 5:10

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
James 2:14

Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2:17

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Revelation 20:12-13

The church in Valencia was constructed in the beginning of the 18th century (early 1700s) by the manual labor of the people of Valencia, under supervision by the Royal Spanish Audencia, under command by the Viceroy by Imperial Mandate. Hundreds of our fellow Valencianon ancestors gave their sweat, blood, and for some their lives in the construction of this church.

The Church in Valencia strongly resembles the Baroque styles of the Cathedral in Leon, Spain.
Many of the Spanish priests and monks that joined the Franciscan and Dominican order were from Leon. And as a result, when they established their parishes in the Philippines; in particular Valencia-Bohol, they modeled the churches as those in their home regions.

This is what our church was modeled after:

La Catedral de Leon, it was built during the reign of Emperor Philip II, Ruler of the Spain and her Overseas Possessions.

It is amazing how though time has passed, empires rose and fell, however these churches still manage to survive to this day. In Leon, and in Valencia, Bohol.

Really? Are you fluent in the local dialect there, Anne or do you communicate via english?

Leon, where Ancient blends with Modern. One of the founding princely states that would form a unified Spain.

O radiant Leon, Mother of Spain..

Cathedral of Leon; notice the architecture.
The church in Valencia, Bohol is modeled after it

Regal, its almost half a millennia, but looks newly built.

One of the many architectural brilliances of Leon. It was built during the height of the Empire.
