last i heard, yes.

i do.  it was innocent, and was thus a very happy one.  unfortunately, the innocence was cut short when i was 12 because of my mother's death.  a consolation:  at least i was already a tween and no longer that little.

reality check:  after careful rereading of all the answers, one gets to realize that they're all safe answers, neither here nor there and can't go wrong because they teeter somewhere in the middle of what life's all about.

p.s.  glad my favorite number isn't zero or one million.

first, i don't think there was a test for judges in terms of their responsiveness (psychological?  neurological?) for them to qualify as judges.  and heaven help if they underwent a test for precision (needlework?  hammer-on-nails?).

but if we go by this logic of incidental numbers, can we also conclude that a jeepney is better than a mercedes car because there are more jeepneys on the road than mercedeses? 

we can always say that there are more male judges than female judges because more men chose to pursue law studies that enabled them to choose to become judges.

we are not walking pawnshops, so we must do away with those huge jewelry.  worn in daytime, they're more garish than impressive and, needless to say, tasteless.  only queen elizabeth II can get away with that.  we can ape her only if we're attending an evening formal ball, nowhere else.

we must behave formally and talk in low tones.  doing otherwise would only call attention to ourselves.  that attention is far from admiring.

lastly, we should walk as if there's no one else, except of course that someone who is with us.  put another way, we must never be conscious about our looks.  we've gone this far and have survived with what we are.
 

   

i suppose a fair answer would be:  some are abusive, some aren't, just like other husbands in other parts of the world.

by the way, i believe sandugo is a celebration of something that had happened that changed the course of our nation, for good or ill.  people tend to celebrate milestones.  we observe dates that end wars.  (we do not ask why we observe the day when the body count of the war's dead confronts us.)  we don't question celebrations or observances like birthdays and death anniversaries.  (why do we celebrate the fact that we're older and nearer the grave?  why do we observe the day when tragedy such as a loved one's demise had happened?) 

we mark important dates by observing or celebrating that which had happened, as in the case of sandugo, which is undeniably an event that is part of our history as a nation no matter how way we look at it.
