surely most, if not all, of our legislators and other government officials have traveled out of the country.  they must have learned much about how some places have either regulated billboards (i.e. from the size, color, distance from the urban area, spaces in-between, etc.) or have banned them outright.  those places do not insult one's senses.  they're a pleasant sight and are psychologically welcoming.

but then, before this good news of a ban on having project billboards carry an official's name, it looked like those officials never thought that their own names and faces were unpleasant billboard sights, so regulating these were beyond them.

are we really, truly, finally entering a new age of proper officialdom?

just one more reason why i don't like entertainment people going into politics. 

how sad.  one mistake of a weather scientist and he's out.  to think that we have lost a big number of weather forecasters lately for jobs abroad.  forecasters are not perfect human beings.  sure, they're supposed to analyze and predict, but the results, i suppose, are unpredictable.  we could settle for near-miss predictions with our kind of resources.

i hope politics is not part of the equation here.  otherwise, why blame a doctor for the death of a terminally ill patient?

hi, graz.  glad you're doing okay and ready to have another cat.  i'm on tenterhooks myself here.  i've rushed 3 cats to the veterinarian within the week.  i can't afford to lose another cat so soon.  2 are now on antibiotics, another was admitted because an i.v. was necessary.  as of today, i dare not think of the total cost of their medical care.  i'll cross the bridge when there's a bridge.
