i did, and will continue to keep on trying.  the only time i succeeded in finishing the count was on one moonless night.  there was one star whose light pierced a cloud.  in that one night, my counting of stars stopped there.

did a brief editing job this morning and was diverted because another cat delivered her kittens at the balcony.  i'm fast becoming a big contributor of kittens to the cat shelter.  glad i'm a volunteer there.  quid pro quo.  i hope all these kittens survive.  they're now inside a pet carrier, including their mother.  once they're weaned, i'm going to have their mother spayed.  it looks like i've become a one-woman advocate of tnr (trap, neuter and release) here.
