Wisdom, flows from the Mouth of God.

I am different towards different people. If I am amongst fellow medical students, I will talk to them accordingly. If I am amongst professors, instructors and researchers, my way of speech changes to the company I am with. If I need to utilize large vocabulary, to enunciate figure of speech, then so be it.

But then again, if I am around elderly folks or young children, then I will also talk to them in their ways.

If amongst simple men, talk simply with them, believe me it is not only a very humbling experience, but also one learns alot from people from different aspects of life. They may not be able to eloquently word things, but the way they say things and the feelings and experience they share are worth, truly, a thousand words.

No celebrity should sit on the Philippine Throne. Celebrities do nothing for the nation.

Someone worthy of the Throne should have qualifications, the prerequisites should be:

1. Military Background
2. Political Background
3. Educated Background
#42311
Rizal should have been proclaimed King. And the Rizalian Dynasty heirs of the throne.
#42312
I think a Constitutional Monarchy would go well here in the Philippines.

We need a strong leader, and definitely having a rigid King sitting as symbol of state would be a psychological plus for the country.

We are already, as a people, obsessed with celebrity and glamour high life. Institute and proclaim a Royal Family and Nobility, and it would situate well in the country.

Poems and Poets / Advice to a Son
November 30, 2008, 10:12:50 AM
by Ernest Hemingway

Never trust a white man,
Never kill a Jew,
Never sign a contract,
Never rent a pew.
Don't enlist in armies;
Nor marry many wives;
Never write for magazines;
Never scratch your hives.
Always put paper on the seat,
Don't believe in wars,
Keep yourself both clean and neat,
Never marry whores.
Never pay a blackmailer,
Never go to law,
Never trust a publisher,
Or you'll sleep on straw.
All your friends will leave you
All your friends will die
So lead a clean and wholesome life
And join them in the sky.

Yea. Ka ingoon ko at first that this song was about break up, pero when I read the lyrics jud there was a phrase that took the cake.

"I'm holding on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground
I'm hearin what you say but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around, and say...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late"

For those who trim their beard, I realized it best to evade in using a shave as it can lead to excess trimming. I recommend using a scissor and comb to trim, and if you need to clean of the sides, I recommend using an old barber bladed shave.

Go slow and go smooth on the edges, just trust your fingers to clean the trough.

My Father in Heaven, how sweet it is to know that You are my Father and that I am your Child!

Especially when the skies of my souls are cloudy and my cross weighs more heavily, I feel the need to repeat to You: Father, I believe in Your love for me!

Yes, I believe that You are a Father to me at every moment of my life, and that I am Your child!

I believe that You love me with an infinite love!

I believe that You are watching over me night and day and that not a hair falls from my head without your permission!

I believe that, in Your infinite Wisdom, You know better than I what is good for me.

I believe that, in Your infinite power, You can bring good even out of evil.

I believe that, in Your infinite goodness, You make everything to the advantage of those who love You; even under the hands of those who strike me I kiss Your hand which heals!

I believe, but increase in me faith, hope and love!

Teach me always to see You love as my guide in every event of my life.

Teach me to surrender myself to You like a baby in its mother's arms.

Father, You know everything. You see everything, you know me better than I know myself; You can do everything, and You love me!

LGU Philippines / Re: Violent Rise and Violent Fall

To comment on the picture above,

It is rather astonishing to see something like this, which is rather historically accurate. The Emperor Tiberius Augustus, who orated greatly as his uncle before him, Augustus. Tiberius, who worked tirelessly to increase the roads of Rome, increasing the ports, furthering the borders of the Empire, beautified the cities. Thousands upon Thousands of Rome's sons were sent abroad, in the name of Tiberius to silence dissidents, and to conquer the barbarians.

In his life, Tiberius was honored with Divine Praises, as it was common to worship the spirit of the Emperor of Rome.

Yet, despite his adjusted divinity and his power, as Lord of Life in his Roman Empire, could not even save his own life from his own nephew, Caligula.

Isn't it ironic? If you ponder such iniquity. A man who the masses of Rome worshiped as the Living Divine, would be silenced by his own kin? The man whose word, if ushered, could annihilate an entire people and kingdom by his Armies, was murdered in his own Imperial Palace? Sitting in the Imperial Throne, and enrobed with the Imperial vestment?

Divine they say, nay, I say not.

A God does not Die.

An Example of Corrupt Power.

The picture is of the aged Emperor Tiberius Augustus, a great politician and Father-figure of the Roman Empire. The direct heir of Caesar Augustus. In this picture, the aged Tiberius, wearing the Imperial Robe, being murdered and killed by his own Nephew, Caligula.

Caligula, would share his own Uncle's fate. As he murdered his uncle, he, too, would be silenced by his own Praetorian Guard.

LGU Philippines / Violent Rise and Violent Fall
November 29, 2008, 11:53:05 PM
Ever wonder how political leaders such as the Emperors of Rome utilized violent means to claim the Caesarian Crown?

Men such as Caligula, Nero, Commodus, Diocletian and Nerva used rather conniving methods to rid their competition. And when in power, ruled as if they were a Living Physical God. Spent frivorously the tax money of the citizenry, abused the military and the personal guard. Till they themselves, the self acclaimed God-Emperor, fell victim to their own doctrines. The doctrine of Rule by Force and Power.

Many of such Emperors such as Caligula, Commodus and Nero were murdered by their own trusted protectors, the Praetorian Guard, or by their own lovers.

Many of whom, such as Caligula, was murdered while sitting on the Imperial Throne. Vested in the Imperial Robe.

Not just in Rome, but in many other kingdoms and states throughout history.

Agree or disagree?

Bible Study / Re: The Sacraments
November 29, 2008, 11:43:55 PM
"The sacraments are visible signs that the Lord Jesus has given to us to enable us to realize his loving presence within us. For example, Baptism: a person receives baptism through water, a visible sign, to realize the eternal life and the new life that we receive through the Lord Jesus. Communion: under the signs of bread and wine, we believe we are nourished truly with the very presence of the Lord Jesus coming to us. And so we have within the church seven sacraments that have always been within the church since the time of the apostles. The sacraments continue as visible signs of the invisible presence the Lord has with us through his spirit."

4

the sacrament of penance â€" confession as it’s called â€" to enable us to realize the loving forgiveness and mercy of the Lord Jesus in our lives that we may begin anew;

5

the sacrament of matrimony where two people become a visible sign of the very love of God to their relationship, one with another;

6

the sacrament of Holy Orders where a man becomes a priest, again through the signs of laying on of hands by the Bishop to continue the whole sense of bringing God’s forgiveness, through the sacraments, to his people;

As a frequent reader of Revolutionary History, and one of my favorite has been Filipino Nationalistic Evolution. A man of great importance, in regards to Filipino Transcendentalism would have to be Marcelo H. Del Pilar, who was a Filipino philosopher, writer, Nationalist, Apologist and a colleague of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

Del Pilar was one of the writers of La Solidaridad. He was born in the Philippines, but lived, worked and died in Spain.

The man lived in the late 19th centurian epoch.

A very handsome and powerful name!

Both names are biblical. Marcus/Mark: the disciple in the bible. Gabriel: The Angel of God.

Quote from: A Layman on November 29, 2008, 07:07:57 AM
Dong Enzo, sa akong pagsabot sa imong side morag ni pabor ka nga pwede magminyo ang pari kon gusto niya. Basta, during the seasons of prayer, he has to devote himself to prayers. Then assumes his family obligation after. Sukwahi kini sa proverbial saying nga, "You cannot serve two masters at a time...". Tinood nga dili jod ni mahimo sa mga pari bisan kanatong tanan. Pero kon atong i-modify kana with a positive thinking ug himoong, "You can serve two masters one at a time..." pwede. It's just a matter of tasking, diba? I can clip you the quotes of this particular argument in your previous posting should you like to expound further.

Sir Layman,

Ang stance nako ani is with the Holy Roman Catholic Church and in communion with the 2nd Lateran Council edict of the 12th century.

I am conservative in this aspect, sir. The Great Reformation in the 16th and 17th centuries addressed the grievances of the Church, and what was clear in ecclesiastic rite was the continuation of the celibacy of the Royal Priesthood.

So, since it was the Holy Roman Catholic Church who compiled the Holy Bible, and with infallible authority to compile the Holy Book itself, by the Grace of God, then I assure my stance with that of the Catholic Church.

Yours,

Its very different for us Filipinos who grew up in the 'states. When we go about our ordinary daily lives, if people incline about one's ethnicity, I usually just say 'Filipino'. Then if the individual asking asks, "So you speak, Tagalog?", then I would infer, "Bisaya" then lecture him about the different languages.

It is only when people incline for further information, does one really need to divulge specifics.

That or if I'm hanging around amongst other Filipinos, then do I say that I'm Bisaya or speak Bisaya.

Depends on the situation, depends on the person I'm talking to.

Anonymous Diary Blog / Re: Growing a beard (steps)

Observationally,

I've noticed that I have patches of red hair on my beard. Large amount of patches on the border of the angle of the mandible, and more so in the chin and mustache line.
I was curious if this is a normal thing and if many other Filipino men have red or brown patches of hair in their facial hair?

Or is this some kind of recessive trait, down in the gene pool?
