There should be a tag somewhere on the rug with cleaning instructions. Generally, if something says washable, it means machine washable.
Go to the and look for your rug. The larger ones have to be washed in a large commercial washer. If you do the smaller ones at home, I would wash two at a time to keep the washer balanced.

personal curiosity at work here, thus, the research.

assassination is murder, with important consequences.

the level of importance of the murdered person is ambiguous, be he haloed by fame or infamy.  it's just that assassination involves any prominent person whose murder has political, religious, ideological, or military repercussions.  the assassin need also have any of these motives for the murder to be called an assassination.  (a president who's killed by rat poison that's mistaken by his private cook for a flour mix is not assassinated.)

a prominent businessman is murdered, not assassinated.

a mayor of a remote town may be assassinated by a political rival as far as the locality is concerned.  he may be reported as murdered at the national level.

true, though there's no harm in matching both the internal and external.  besides, if one bothers to dress carefully for non-sectarian formal functions (i.e., white-tie for men, gown for women, all the works), so should one dress just as carefully for a church affair.  fr chic!  tell me you won't allow a woman in a bikini to attend your mass! natilawan ni nimo tanan, bai hubs?

hala oy, nahinumdom man hinoon ko sa dom perignon sa akong wedding.  sureness hinoon ko nga di gyod to high-end nga 12k dollars kay gi-save unta ang bottle... di pod mopalit ang groom ani, granting that he had 12k dollars, which i doubt.  di pod to 1999 bottle kay my wedding date was earlier.

lami gyod hinoon ang dom perignon.  i remember kay nilad-ok kog gamay sa "cheers!" part.  i didn't give that champagne much thought then, but now, well, morag naa koy questions for the banana republic...

priests are trained to handle their emotions.  should some stray, it is not for the rest of the world to condemn them.  the important thing for anyone is not to live a lie.

hehehe, and how green can one get?  the wheels are made of rubber (all right, it comes from the rubber tree, but rubber is not biodegradable...) and the spokes are still made of steel.  it would have been amazing if carabao dung were used instead of rubber and fish bones for spokes instead of steel.  (joke-joke-joke) ;D

my late father dear was a 20-year-old officer when he fought during the war.  he never bothered about his benefits.  the only time he mentioned his possibilities was when he asked me, right after graduation, if i'm interested in becoming a u.s. citizen.  i said no, naturally.  if the last word in the news item holds any weight, i'll take it up from there.  all in fairness to his memory.

my guess:  'plastic' means fake or artificial in filipino slang.  used to describe persons, it could only mean 'hypocritical'.  no wonder no filipino wants to be called 'plastic'.  as for things, despite the qualities of plastic mentioned, consider the difference between plastic and bone china dinnerware.  it's hands down for the latter.

Hmm... Expensiveness is a relative thing--relative, that is, to the size of one's fortune and one's ego, among other vanities.

hehe, as i only had the ego of a very private person and spared no thought for fortune, my own no-nonsense wedding was grand in its simplicity.  i did not invite a single relative. ;D  parents, brothers and sisters and their children were all i wanted for my private affair.  i didn't have a bouquet (what's that for?) and the arras became an afterthought.  (someone had to hurriedly buy it minutes before the wedding.)  the groom let me run the whole show the way i wanted it.  it was memorable.

Reminds me of my vestment for ordination at P300+, the cheapest I could get. Wow, it's been 26 years now and still kicking dusts along the journey. The only thing that cost was food as the whole townsfolks were expected to partake being the town's "first priest-to-be-ordained," but scheduling it day before the town fiesta was even smarter (not because we were being cheap but because we were poor (LoL)  ;D

it looks like that made it a doubly blessed fiesta.  i would have opted for the same practical move... for one thing, food seems to taste better the day before a fiesta.
