Yes, it wasn’t the best atmospherics for Obama to look down, purse his lips, appear distracted, while Romney was attentive, engaged, relaxed. But this was much more than atmospherics. This was about one candidate who came with a frame for the evening, and who was prepared to engage on every question; and another who, perhaps because of his documented faith in his own abilities, felt he could wing it with snatches of familiar verbiage.

That is the law of reciprocity.

TSYS, Northrop and Lockheed

TeleCommunication Systems, Inc, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin announced on Wednesday, September 26th that they have teamed to produce highly affordable satellite terminals for protected communications on the move and at the halt.

The Low Cost Terminal (LCT) solution addresses the military's need for lower cost technologies and systems to enable protected and secure communications for tactical warfighters in theater. The three companies are operating under a collaborative agreement signed earlier this year for TSYS to manufacture, market and sell LCT products under license from Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin.

The LCT solution takes advantage of Northrop Grumman's and Lockheed Martin's proven knowledge and engineering experience in protected military satellite communications through Milstar and Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) anti-jam satellites, and builds on TSYS' highly secure, deployable satellite communication systems, based on a modular architecture with plug-and-play interfaces and integrated logistics support.

John Miyamoto, vice president of Advanced Programs for Lockheed Martin's Military Space line of business, said:
"As U.S. space-based technology becomes more and more advanced, the next challenge becomes ensuring that the men and women of our armed forces fully benefit from all our satellites have to offer. Conclusion

TSYS has been one to watch for a long time and we finally believe it's time.

Orders are coming in at a fast pace and management seems to be looking for more ways to increase share value. While it may have been prodding by an active investor of 5+% of shares that spurred some action, things have been improving the past quarter and that appears to continue.

Taking a look at the chart and you can clearly see the cup-and-handle pattern which the stock looks to be breaking out of. On Monday, some high volume and a nice up day almost broke through resistance and we expect that to occur this week. The extra attention will lead more and more to see what we do - and climb aboard. A break above $2.50 on high volume could propel the stock higher as the next level of resistance is at $3.00.

While these technical issues mean the stock could act well and move quickly, over the longer-term, we feel the stock could trade over $4.00 again in the next 2-4 months.

I am an insomniac. Here I am in the wee hours of the morning still wide awake. To you my dear readers, remember that making money is not the purpose of our lives. But being financially independent is very important.

I ask that you remove my worries, anxieties and fears about money, and replace them with faith.

Islamic leaders in Dearborn, Mich. are holding a rally this Friday night to build momentum for the passage of laws that prohibit speech or expression that hurts "the religious feelings of Muslims."
Put together in response to the film "Innocence of Muslims,"  rally organizer Tarek Baydoun said, "We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to sow the seeds of hate and discord against the religious beliefs of others." Rally co-organizer Osama Siblani added, "There is a need for deterrent legal measures against those individuals or groups that want to damage relations between people, spread hate and incite violence."
In other words, it appears one of the goals of the rally will be the eventual creation of blasphemy laws: laws that would reflect an international movement toward banning speech that is critical of Islam or Mohammed.
Ironically, this rally comes at a time when hate crimes toward Muslims in America have dropped more 50% in the last ten years. For example, in 2001 hate crimes against Muslims constituted approximately 28% of all such crimes in America, but in 2010 that category of crime against Muslims only constituted 12.7%.   
This drop in crime was not due to blasphemy laws or other curbs on free speech.
