looking at the route, magellan had his last 20 days in cebu before crossing to mactan to meet his fate at the hands of lapulapu, a boholano claimed by cebuanos as cebuano just because he happened to be in mactan to visit his girlfriend. he's actually from talibon who often swam to mactan. atlan ug away, nagpabilib dayon. the rest is history and yoyoy villame's song.![]()

Here's one:
Bag Hu, which in archaic pidgin Srivijayan means "bad weather", also known as Toy Bo (literally, "thorn-bone"), is a popular Boholano symbol for bad luck. It often depicts a bald-headed, thin but pot-bellied drunkard with a coconut shell bowl ("hungot") in one hand and a bamboo container ("sugong") in the other, sitting on a pile of firewood (usually coconut parts such as "palwa", "bukong", "butay" and "takong") which he gathers and exchanges for coconut wine ("tuba"). According to Bagtu Holbo lore, it is believed to attract evil, jeopardize wealth, and decrease income. It is usually sent anonymously to one's enemies.

kun tinuod man galing ni, as with those "students by day, sex workers by night" (salamat na lang nga students, di catechists by day), it's still in keeping with the pursuit of material gains. mabuhi baya ning mga babaye bisan way diamonds. kanta ra baya ug james bond movie ang niingon nga diamonds are forever unya ang niingon nga diamonds are a girl's best friends kay ang diamond dealers ra pod. mga baye ray giuto-uto aning mga claims. pero mas labaw nga giuto-uto ang mga laki nga customers sa mga baye, hahaha!

a few hours ago akong gibadlisan ang mga trabahante sa balay nga wa na mobalik kay naay laing gitrabaho. from one contract to another ang style sa mga abat. lingaw silag pangatawa sa akong mga reklamo. ang sliding screen sa doors and windows di tuod malutsan ug lamok ug langaw, pero makalusot ang iring. nagtulo pa ang sandayong sa cat room nga kinahanglan i-tiles ang sawog ahora mismo. kun di sila manungha ugma, i told them, ako na ning dalan ug di na sila makaagi, hahaha!
unsa man kunoy akong buhaton? suyakan nako ang trak de karga nga ilang sakyan o mohigda ko taliwa sa dalan, aber kun makalahos ba sila.

i don't know the name of the noodle dish that my Lola used to cook, but she used to prepare during my youngerdays. If i could compare it to a dish that i eat regularly here , i would compare it to singapore style lomein, but lola's version didn't have curry in it. the noodles were thin, and she used a lot of mixed veggies in it, and used a lot of king mushrooms (these have a consistency of meat, n are very chewy), n some other spices she used to add in it. arang lami'a kaajo. ive been trying to find a noodle dish that tasted just like it, but a las, nothing comes close to Lola's cooking....honestly.
