I wish I could celebrate Mass in St. Nino Parish Church again, very beautiful congregation and filled with the Spirit of God.
It is in this church that my great-great grandparents, great grandparents, grandparents and my parents were married in.
It is the same church that i was baptized in.

Bai Chris,
I took classes on Arabic Language when I was in undergraduate college and the instructor of Arabic Language was from Syria. He came from a village with a strong Christian minority. I befriended my instructor, Suleiman (the Arabic form of SOLOMON). The village that he came was a coptic catholic rite and had been a community of believers since the 4th/5th century AD. He told me that it was very regular for people in the town to be taxed almost twice the amount as the muslims that lived in surrounding towns. It was the government's way of trying to "forcibly convert" the Christian community in Syria.
My instructor had a friend during college who , because of my instructor, became more interested in the Teachings of Jesus Christ and so , asked my instructor to teach him about Jesus Christ. The father of the friend found out that his son had converted to Christianity and had his son killed. This was a devastating blow to my instructor, who had become good friends with Sharif (the one who was killed for converting to Christianity).
Christians from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon , Egypt etc are forced to live in dhimmitude in these lands, many of them are leaving the Middle East for more "tolerant" countries. There is a surge of Christian Arabs in the United States because of this situation. There is an exodus of Christian Arabs out of the Middle East because of the kinds of conditions they are placed in their own native lands.
My former instructor Suleiman , who is a good friend of mine to this day, lives in the United States.

He is now a Christian, Bai Chris. He currently lives in California , USA. He has received thousands of death threats from many muslims for speaking out. His own father wants his son "dead" because of denouncing islam daw.

Ang gipasabot sa atong Ginoong Hesukristo is that we should yearn and seek the Kingdom of God, which we can achieve only through Jesus Christ. Pivotal to this salvific mission is that we should place Jesus Christ in our hearts, minds. He is the priority, never the secondary, or tertiary. Jesus Christ comes before self or family or physical need.
Jesus Christ Is Above All Things gajud, everything else is secondary, tertiary, quaternary etc etc.
kasabot nako sir,,lahi raman god kong mobasa unya walay kapangutan an unsay pasabot,,nakabasa ko ana versekilo kay,,mao man god kasagarab e ataki sa muslim,,,na JESUS daw,,,wa magdala kalinaw,,,
There was an incident, Bai Chris, which was documented in the Book of Matthew Chapter 8 when a young man was called by Jesus Christ to follow him. Na hadlok ang bata kai dako kaayo ang responsibilidad ang gi request ni Hesukristo. Ingon ang bata ni Jesus Christ, "Gusot ko mo balik sa balay kai i-lubong pa ahong papa". Ingon ang Ginoong Hesukristo niya, "Let the dead bury their own!". Jesus' answer was very straightforward. Once you are called, he expects you to follow to His word and to put Him first.
In other words, tho the world may be antagonistic to faith in Jesus Christ, you must never go against your love and faith in Christ Jesus. Stick to the faith. Kai dili buta og dili bungol ang GINOO!!
Remember that this world belongs to the devil satan, May God rebuke him. What we long for, Bai Chris, is eternal Life with Jesus Christ who is Lord. For the one who is loyal and loves Christ, will have his or her home in the Kingdom of Heaven.

In regards to the quoted verses 49 to 53 from Luke Chapter 12:
Meditation: Jesus shocked his disciples when he declared that he would cast fire and cause division rather than peace upon the earth. What kind of fire did Jesus have in mind? Fire in biblical times was associated with God and with his action in the world and in the lives of his people. God sometimes manifested his presence by use of fire, such as the burning bush which was not consumed when God spoke to Moses (Exodus 3:2). The image of fire was also used to symbolize God's glory (Ezekiel 1:4, 13), his protective presence (2 Kings 6:17), his holiness (Deut. 4:24), righteous judgment (Zechariah 13:9), and his wrath against sin (Isaiah 66:15-16). It is also used of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 3:11 and Acts 2:3). God's fire both purifies and cleanses, and it inspires a reverent fear of God and of his word in us. Jesus regarded the coming of the kingdom of God as a time of judgment. His word of judgment was meant to help people take seriously the consequences of their choices -- either for or against God. Our response to the judgments of God has serious repercussions, both for the present and the future. Jesus states that even family loyalties would be challenged on the basis of whether people accepted the kingdom of God or not. The essence of Christianity is loyalty to Jesus Christ, a loyalty that takes precedence over every other relationship. When Jesus spoke about division he likely had in mind the prophecy of Micah: a man's enemies are the men of his own household (Micah 7:6). The love of God compels us to choose who will be first in our lives. To place any relationship (or anything else) above God is a form of idolatry. Jesus challenges his disciples to examine who they love first and foremost. A true disciple loves God above all else and is willing to forsake all for Jesus Christ. Jesus insists that his disciples give him the loyalty which is only due to God, a loyalty which is higher than spouse or kin. It is possible that family and friends can become our enemies, if the thought of them keeps us from doing what we know God wants us to do. Does the love of Jesus Christ compel you to put God first in all you do (2 Corinthians 5:14)?
