"Come, herald your King, I go to march before my own men. Keep your sights on your King, my banner in your sights. Fight with me, Bleed with me!"

King Henry V was said to have said that to his men in the Battle of Agincourt, France. in the 15th century.

Tactical Meaning: Lead by example, inspire your men, and even outnumbered, can still be effective in making a tactical victory out of a dismal situation.

Inspired by their King, English longbowmen decimated the French heavy cavalry and wiped out squadrons of Royal and Noble French nights in armour.

Blessed Be YOUR Name!

Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

As of recently, there were hackers trying to hack into the US Pentagon to steal files on the US's JF-35 fighter plans as well as upgrades on the FA-22 Raptor.

In this current economic malaise, the US as well as the EU are in danger of islamofascist threats that would take advantage of the current situation.

Take for example Europe. The ancestral homeland of the Caucasian Race, is now under attack of islamofascists that wont even assimilate to the prevailing culture of the land.

Who still refer to Christian Europe and Christian generals as people 'worthy to be decapiated by Islam'.

IMHO, there is no dialogue with these people. Dialogue is impossible with such closed minded rationality. Xenophobic theocratic totalitarianists.

still i am wondering if the US was capable of making the Star Wars technology to succeed.

lol, all of that was a ploy by the Regan Administration under the veneer of 'Reganomics' as a way for the Russians to continue on digging their own grave.

The United States spent on military defense year after year knowing full well that the Russians would try to imitiate such spending so as to never fall behind the US's military capability. As a capitalist state and with a burgeoning economy, the United States could afford its military policy.

Russia, on the other hand, was suffering gaping protests in East Germany, Yugoslavia, Ukraine, Kazakh regions, as well as a massive economic deficit from its catastrophic military theater in Afghanistan, which cost the Russians billions of dollars and thousands of lives for a failed attempt to secure a southern Port.

The United States never really had a 'Star Wars' project, it was all a ploy, which the Ruskies believed all too well.

It worked, fortunately, to our advantage, as it led to the ultimate capitulation of the USSR due to the massive economic failure in that Communist Empire.

The Russian aggressive nature, a Bolshevik trait, was the ultimate reason for its collapse. Nikita Krushev once opined to the US House of Congress in his state visit to the United State sin 1963, "WE WILL BURRY YOU!"

:)

Instead, The USSR buried its own self. America provided the shovel. Colloquially, speaking.

:P

Quote from: glacier_71 on April 23, 2009, 08:53:15 PM
when the US heard the Russians tested their 100-megaton successfully, it became a necessity to stop them thru other means. treaties were made between the two. like START.

cuba's missile crisis was just for me a political showdown by the Russians, in an effort to scare the Americans. i was wondering then why USSR needed to put up Missile Systems in Cuban soil when in fact their rockets can easily reach the US and other European countries even if their rockets would be fired from USSR soil. i even suspected both countries had the capability to fire missiles from one of their satellites in space. scary.

anyway, with the Russians claiming they have missiles that can breach any defense systems US has had, i think US has to scramble once again what their former Cold War enemy has in store. if they failed to prove that there's no WMD in Iraq, i am thinking if USSR's secret weapons can in anyway be easily pinned down by US spies. i hope this thermo nuke can work to keep the Russians at bay; anyhow, it's the Arab radicals we're more concerned now, not the Russians.

Good analysis, Glace.

What is important for us to take consideration is the American maintenance of the Monroe Doctrine. One can colloquially refer to it as the 'Big Stick Policy'. It basically surmises that all lands in the Western Hemisphere, North, Central and South America are free from foreign power intervention, at the prejudice of American interests, of course.

The United States has fixed interests in the security and stability of the Central and South American nation/states as it directly and indirectly influences and affects American strategic interests. Economic and military.

Cuba was a territory that was won over by the United States from the Spanish in 1898 in the Spanish-American War. In good faith, the United States granted Cuba independence.

It was of national prerogative to prevent an island state like Cuba from acquiring nuclear power and posing a threat to the belly of these United States. Specially not a nation like Cuba, whose population is not even equivalent to the state of New Jersey.

America challenged Kruschev-led USSR on the dismantling of the missile silo. If Krushev maintained his course, it would have meant a nuclear war between the two giant powers; USA and USSR. If Krushev acquiesced to Kennedy's demands, it would have settled the situation and prevent a nuclear war.

Krushev did acquiesced. And his acquiescence is regarded by political scientits and Military Historians as the beginning of the final chapter of the Cold War. America claimed pre-eminence and the USSR's buckling to American demands was seen as a sign of weakness.

Culminating in the collapse of the USSR in 1991, altogether.

The American Eagle's Outstretched in Triumph.

I woke up this morning early 5am, before the dawn broke.

I was online last night, with notes on table. I don't know how this happened, but i guess i slept-walked to my bedroom, grabbed my 2 pillows, and my comforter and bed sheets and placed it in my apartment living room. Because when i woke up this morning, i was in the living room. One pillow under my  head, and another in between my legs.

Woke up, at around 5:50ish am, showered, toothbrushed, brewed coffee, sand started studies earlier. of course, with TB online (my cheat cheat ;)  )

Rupa knocked on my door around 12 noon. To ask me questions on Pentose phosphate pathways for nutrition chap. for biochem final review. I looked at her eyes, observing, as always. Then I smelled her breath.

She was drinking black tea, with a hint of lemon or lime. Her lips were glossy, so with the tea scent and glossy lips, i couldnt help but wanted to kiss her lips. haha.

I cmpletely forgot what she asked. had to ask her to repeat it.
But yes.

I really am very very tense right now. Repressed.

I should have asked her to massaged me earlier, as payment for helping her in the pentose phosphate pathway question. Blast.

Maybe next time.

Fr. said something to me that really woke me up, "STOP! focusing on the chics, and start focusing on what you have to do. You like someone, sure, thats natural, so what?"

I was shocked in his response.

"Study! You're here to study, your parents are paying for you to come here, dont loos focus, Al. Focus! All these things are distractions. Women, partying. Excess. Stick to your goals. Focus! Now get out!"

I thought he was really angry at me. I left his office.

That day, I remember I was on my way to Organic chem lab, I REALLY internalized his words. He was right. So effing right. Analyzing things in hindsight, how stupid it was for me to let something so trivial like that affect me.

Fr. Mark is a good guy, but he's also very blunt and straight forward. Love that about him.

I used to go to the office of Fr. Mark, who was my good friend in college. He was our Catholic College Chaplain.

I used to buy lunch and take it to his office, because I didn't have class form 1pm till 3:30 pm. And his office hours was from 1-5 (M, W, F). So i would bug him on Mondays and Weds.

I would come to his office and he would say, "Oh not YOU again!" Then he would let out his distinct laughter. I always called him "POPS" because he was more of a dad than a priest, lol.

Second -third years of college, was hard for me. Girl problems, and then dealing with the loss of my friend Rob. Emotionally, very draining for me. The guy that was there for me to cry on was Fr. Mark.

It annoys me how liberal leftist march to Washington or in state capitals protesting on the right to abort. Screaming, and attacking churches with stones or defacating churches with Swastika signs.

And the liberal-based media shows nothing on TV about it.

But when pro-life groups protest abortion clinics or hold mass prayer vigils outside of abortion clinics, the media comes like swarms of flies to show the pro-life activists as being 'biased' or 'hateful'.

How is it hateful to pray for life? To conserve and retain life?

Hateful is abortion. The willingful MURDER of babies.

Germany's economy will shrink by 6% this year and continue to contract in 2010 according to a forecast from the country's leading economic think tanks.

The estimates, compiled by eight institutes for the German Economy Ministry, also predicts that the rate of unemployment will hit 10% next year.

The gloomy forecast chimes with that of the IMF, which shows the German economy contracting by 5.6% this year.

This is faster than any other major economy apart from Japan, says the IMF.

"The joint forecast of the institutes paints a very dark picture of German economic prospects in the foreseeable future," said Timo Klein at IHS Global Insight. - BBC News

Yes!

Even the most intelligent atheists  cannot substantially prove that God does not exist.
They can surmise a hypothesis that He does not exist, but in order to prove and make that law, one needs to scientifically capture and analyze God. And make results analysis and data and discussion and conclusion.

That is physically impossible.

There is no scientific proof to destroy the believer's faith.

By that notion, intellectual discussion is reason alone that there is a God.

:) No other animals in the continuum of this planet can reason like us.

This notion of existentialism is the soul's natural innateness to yearn for God.

Atheists are blind to recognize it.

Note also, Glace, the decorum of the dojo of different styles.

In Judo, which is the historical art form of the SAMURAI-class, it is based on Ying-Yang concept. With Ying being paramount. A samurai was expected to hold back his anger, and stimulate and dissipate anger with poetry, practice, and meditation.

Notice also in Tae Kwon Do, and Soo Bahk Do that the dojo is white. Ying-concept.

But notice that in Ninjutsu, there is  black mantle. As the concept of Yang is focused in the Art of Ninjutsu.

Students who part take in Ninjutsu are taught the techniques of offense-based strategy. The soal goal to take down an enemy to kill. Not defend, but to offend.

Judo was developed as a means to counter that.

Judo and Ninjutsu is the epitome of Ying-Yang. imho.

so black color means being full from the emptiness, isn't it? cos i see some Masters wearing black suit

Masters wear Black belt, because they achieved the fullness of the school. All that is offered to learn, they have already learned.

The master is considered to be honored by his pupils because he has mastered his anger, and his goods through years of training. Black iyang belt because he has the ability to be use his power to harm, but chooses to be good. To teach students to be discplined.

The only martial arts form that willfully wears black are the Ninja and the Art of Ninjitsu.

They were black because their methodology is Yang-based. To kill, and silence.
The Art of Death.
#39058
In true martial arts; which follows Ying Yang concept (good and evil, counterbalance between the two), there is a notion that we all have the capability in being good, and being evil.

Martial Arts schools: be they Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Soo Bahk Do, Judo, Karate etc, they follow that basic stance.

Which is YING YANG. A good student and pupil will hold back his temper, and practice restraint. As martial arts wasn't produced to hurt or harm, but was created as a means of self defense.

When a student starts to use his skills, for methods to harm people willfully, to hurt others for self benefit, that means the student's Ying  Yang has already changed. Yang dominates over the student's inner Ying. (ying being good, and yang being evil).

Students wear Ying outfits (White) because that is the goal. To be a good student, pupil, understanding, peaceful, and restraint.
#39059
White stands for purity man, Brod glace.

White stands for emptiness, as a student of martial arts, we start empty. As we accumulate degrees in belt rank, we increase.

The color white has always been considered 'pure' or 'humble' in Chinese culture.

The Chinese then exported that culture to Korea, Japan, Vietnam, etc.

It stuck.

I had gotten this info from a very close relative who teaches in a NY university. Lisod na mag tomo-tomo ug ing-ani nga balita.
In my opinion, Pakistan is a very dangerous country. It is the place where fundamentalists are trained for their Holy war. They possess nuclear weapons. They are very eager to erase the State of Israel and they are capable of using this weapon to execute their goal.
Islamists who are caught here in Germany  (naturalized Germans) admitted to have gotten their military and other brainwashing techniques in this country.

I agree that the current situation in Pakistan is quite alarming. Considering the rising islamofascism in that region of the world.

However, though Islamabad is nuclear armed, it would be suicide if it ever launched a nuke towards Israel. Because Israel is, also, nuclear-armed.

The Pakistanis do not have the technology for thermo nukes, they have mini atomb bombs or 1st class hydrogen bomb technology. The nuclear technology they received was through the Chinese, which is of direct Russian technology.

Considering the fact that Pakistan and China are military and economic allies. Their common threat is India. And China's offering of nuclear technology ot Pakistan was in other words a 'containment' policy the Chinese have with a growing India.

Israel, back to picture of analysis, hehe, isn't weak. Its the strongest power in the middle east, second only to the United States. And Israel has thermo nuclear capability, provided for by the USA, of course.

If, theroetically, Pakistan or Iran would so as much as launch a mini atom warhead towards Israel, Israel would unleash its continuum of ICBMs over Pakistan or Iran, and glass every single inch of that country.

Are the Pakistanis and Iranians that serious to condemn their people? To risk deaths of millions of their own? To hear the cries and wailings of innocents? Its up to them.

Israel, as a strategic military ally of the United States, would receive a quick and prompt American response , if it was attacked. The United States would maintain its M.A.D policy, an attack on American ally with a nuke, is considered an attack on the United States itself. American would obliterate Iran-Pakistan with a volley of 10-20 thermo nukes.

There would be no more Pakistan or Iran.

i heard it was the Russians, enz, at its heyday, who possessed missiles carrying a 100-megaton warhead each; which prompted the US to bring Russians to the Nuclear Disarmament table.

That was the reason that led to the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Russians were cozying up to Castro's Cuba and were constructing a ballistic missile silo near San Juan. The United States spied on the region and noticed the construction and confronted Nikita Khrushchev, then the Premier of the USSR, on the issue.

It was a standstill. The Russians did back down. But the missile silo in Cuba would have given the Russians the targetting/hitting range to strike the American cities in the East Coast.

The development of the thermonuclear warheads, was a direct response to Russian nuclear developments. The United States built these warheads to saturate an area as large as 1/2 of France because in a theoretical strategic nuke war with the USSR, it was necessary (considering the vast landmass of hte USSR). Thermo nukes were developed to obliterate even large mountain ranges, a measure that was considered, since the Russians tend to hide their army corps in mountain ranges of Russia, so incase of a nuke ware with the Soviets, the United States would have vaporized every single ingle of the Russian soil/frontier.

In American Total War Policy, regarding a theoretical nuke war with the Soviets, had the Russians nuked one US city or military base, the United States' response would have been absolute and firm.

It would have launched half of its ICBMs over Russia, Russian towns, cities, ranges, lakes, every single inch of Russian-Soviet soil would have been glassed. So much that it would have left nothing but Crystallized Ash over the continuum of the USSR.

Considering the USSR was a powerful super power, whose military mighty posed a serious threat to the American Eagle, a nuke scenario was inevitable.

I thought about you again, and the thing that you did to me 2 years ago. As if my wounds were re-opened. You hurt me so much, I try to forget, but the sting remains.

Damn you, for letting this stick to me.

I gave you my heart, and you threw it away. Give it back.

Right now is the best time to buy stocks, with prices at an all time low.

You're too kind.  Indeed, non-native speakers often have more thorough schooling in grammar and spelling; this is all due to lax 'modern' teaching methods dating back to the 60s in the UK.
Sometimes native English language teachers are corrected by their Filipino colleagues.

Same for us 'Yanks, Ben.

haha. I always love hearing the English speak. Its romantic, imho. Plus, its how English was meant to have been spoken.

Before we 'yanks bastardized it with our colonial accents. :P

PSALM 139

O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
5 You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.

7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
9 If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.

13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.

19 Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God!
O men of blood, depart from me!
20 They speak against you with malicious intent;
your enemies take your name in vain!
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?
22 I hate them with complete hatred;
I count them my enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

When youre weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
Im on your side. when times get rough
And friends just cant be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When youre down and out,
When youre on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
Ill take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
Im sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
