Say I Love You

Frequently tell your family that you love them. Because you don't know when you'll see them again. To your Uncles, Aunts, Mother, Father, Brothers, Sisters, Cousins.

Tell them you love them. Live in Thanksgiving. With the live that the good Lord gave you. :)

So yes, to the reader, yes you, I love you. :)
I may not know you, but just know that I love you.

Bible Study / Do Not Let Death Affect You
May 17, 2009, 10:53:25 PM
Death is part of life. It is only another stage. It ends this pilgrimage we call LIFE.

So cry not for those who passed on, loved ones and friends. For they no longer suffer. By the mercy of Jesus Christ, who pardons and realligns, there is no fear. So do not weep, cherish the memories, and pray for them. Don't despair, because there really is a light on the other side.

Just Believe, Have Faith. God Bless You All.

My Love,
Bran-Bran

---
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Lyrics:
I will come to you in the silence
I will lift you from all your fear
You will hear My voice
I claim you as My choice
Be still, and know I am near

I am hope for all who are hopeless
I am eyes for all who long to see
In the shadows of the night,
I will be your light
Come and rest in Me

Chorus:
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine

I am strength for all the despairing
Healing for the ones who dwell in shame
All the blind will see, the lame will all run free
And all will know My name

Chorus:
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine

I am the Word that leads all to freedom
I am the peace the world cannot give
I will call your name, embracing all your pain
Stand up, now, walk, and live

Chorus:
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine

O God, who is ever so loving and merciful, we humbly beseech Thee in behalf of my beloved Uncle Bayoy, whom You have called out of this world.  Do not deliver him into the hands of the enemy nor forget him forever, but bid the Holy Angels lead him to paradise, his true country, that for as much as in You, he put his hope and trust.  He may not endure the pains of hell, but may come to the possession of eternal joys.  Through our Lord Jesus Christ Your Son, who lives and reigns in unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.  Amen.
My most merciful Jesus

Be merciful, we beseech Thee O Lord, for the soul of My beloved Uncle Bayoy, for whom we offer to you this sacrifice of praise, humbly beseeching Your Majesty that by those holy and propitiatory offerings, he may be found worthy to win everlasting rest.  Through our Lord Jesus Christ Your Son, who lives and reigns in unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.  Amen.
My most merciful Jesus

Grant we beseech Thee, Almighty God that the soul of my beloved Uncle Bayoy, who departed out of this world may be cleansed by this novena prayers, receive forgiveness and everlasting rest.  Through our Lord Jesus Christ Your Son, who lives and reigns in unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.  Amen.
My Most Merciful Jesus.

Absolve, O Lord, the soul of my beloved Uncle Bayoy, from every bond of sin so that by Your aid he deserves to escape the judgement of wrath, and come to the enjoyment in eternal light.  Through our Lord Jesus Christ Your Son, who lives and reigns in unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.  Amen.
My most merciful Jesus

O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the soul of Uncle Bayoy the remission of all his sins that through pious supplications he may obtain the pardon he has always desired who lives and reigns in unity of the Holy Spirit , one God, world without end.  Amen.

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for your heartfelt thoughts and prayers. My family is dealing and coping with the loss of our beloved Uncle Roy Rustico. He was the younger brother of my father.
On a beautiful Sunday Morning, Uncle Bayoy was laid to rest---next to my Papa Titing and my Mama Luz. :'(

My parents are back home right now. As sad as this is, as devastating is the loss of a loved one, especially my Uncle Bayoy, we are strengthened and justified in the Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I have confidence in Our Lord, and all the prayers from friends and family on behalf of my Uncle Bayoy.

My uncle was a good and loving and family oriented man. He will be remembered by his family who love and adore him and I know he passed on in peace with His Creator. Jesus who is Mercy of Mercies and Love of Loves.

I love you, Uncle Bayoy...
Rest In Peace, Engineer Roy Rustico Lucino Jr., P.E

Faithfully In Christ,

Forgive and Move On

Let any differences you have with one another be put aside, no one comes perfect. So, inasmuch as you ask forgiveness from our Loving Lord, who washes away all iniquities, all faults, all sin. Who pardons you absolutely. And remembers no sin. You should also forgive your fellow brother and sister, who shares your banner in faith.

As all of us are children of the Lord God. Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ. Of the same sheep, who follow the same Sheppard.

So, let your differences be put aside. And rejoice in Jesus' Mercy. He has forgiven you. So forgive amongst yourselves.

God Bless, guys!  :)

hmmmm let me think.

For me, I think it was by a river. Under the shade of an oak tree.
Private, away from people. Just my beloved and I.

Wherever gud. If you want to say it in a parking lot, say it. When you're in church with your love, say it. In bed, as she sleeps on your arms, say it.

As she gives birth to your child, say it to her. Whisper to her ears, 'Baby, thank you for giving me a baby boy (baby girl).'

Kiss her, kiss her softly. Whisper to her ears, softly. Softly nibble on her ears. Love the mother of your babies. She bore your gene seed. The vessel of your babies. Remember that she loves you so much, that she painfully delivered your son or daughter. You owe her that much.

;)

Women that are in my age group are hitting that time of their lives. I think.

I'm 23 turning 24 this July. I identify myself with typical men in my age group; in my prime and full time student. Sure I have thoughts of fatherhood here and there (when im really bored), but there are girls in my class whose pheromones levels are on high mode. lol.

There are women in class that are talking about marriage, motherhood. 4 are already engaged ~~ and hey, thats good for them. I just think its too young.

Claudine, a friend of mine and study buddy asked me some questions in a conversation several days ago. The topic of marriage and finding love and the 'right one'. haha. Intriguing discussion. So she asked me when Id like to 'get married'. Ha, what kind of question was that? So yes, I gave her an estimate, I told her maybe around 30-32 age range.

"Thats too old, you need to marry soon."

Marry soon?

"You need to have children in your prime"

In my prime? lol!

Jeff, Ron, Vince and I couldnt help but laugh.

But yes, wow its really amazing how a woman's baby machine clock ticks in eh? I mean, i guess I didn't really think about it--but at my age--my dad was already engaged to my mom. And by age 24, my mom was already married to my dad.

Wow. Crazy eh? So I guess~~Claudine was right.

Crazy.

Silence is a bane to a man, imho.

I dated a girl who was in my history class before, i used to make jokes to her saying I love staring at the back of your neck, since you like to talk to me with your head facing my direction. She laughed really hard, very geeky laugh. That attracted me i guess. lol.

For a while I courted her in the classroom--very serious kaayo ning bajiha. In regards to work, very serious. When we went to class--i always observed how very sharp dressed she was. Always in professional female attire. Dress shirt, fit khaki pants, and black heels. She wore chanel perfume. :)

I asked her out to many coffee dates, then i asked her out to our first night date. In mid date, she started getting quiet. For me, i felt akward how she wasn't talking just staring. I had to maintain the conversation with jokes--etc etc. By the ending of the date, i wasn't feeling the chemistry.

So, when I walked her back to her dorm--i thought that this was going to be it. The final date. Kai ka ingoon ko we had no chemistry.

So I moved on. To find out later on by friends that she liked me. I asked her in later months, why she never told me she liked me,--why she kept on being silent around me.

Her response killed me, "I get like that. I really liked you."

So, yes, message to the women out there. If you like a man, tell him. ;)

O man, what a woman~

she's in the right. :)

Swine Flu is like any other flu, but what is really interesting about H1N1 is that it has the ability to morph and show symptoms that differ from place to place. In Mexico, young and healthy individuals were dying for no apparent reasons; whereas in the US, mosty the targetted population were immunocompromised people, ergo: Geriatric peoples (60+), HIV/AIDS patients, Cancer patients, Nutritionally defunct etc.

Like any flu, it can be assessed by the concoction of antiviral therapy, as well as vaccine treatment (there is no vaccine for H1N1 as of date, but is on the process).

I think, imho, that the media should continue to do this, and not only just the Flu, but on all disease pandemics and endemics as it better exposes people to the host of diseases out there--and allows them, the viewer, to make an informed decision.

Albeit maybe without the excessive dramatic baggage that some news channels propagate. :)

Nonetheless, with increased media, and communcation, this is good. The effectiveness and international reaction to Swine Flue, mostly, has been responsible for containment policies and preparative action.

And emergency response teams--just in case.

What should we take form this situation:

1. Understand the importance of media and transfer of information
2. Medical awareness; importance of emergency action medical teams--to assess pandemic situations.
3. Strengthen the medical field; pour more resources on research and drug treatment; for prevention of not only influenzas, but other debilitating pathogenic diseases.
4. Resiliency. International and intranational resiliency is observed.

Better is a man that is prepared than a man that is not prepared.

My honest opinion.

Time Is Fleeting.

Nothing in this Earth lasts forever, what was created, will come to an end. As life is made in conception, fulfilled and perfected in Birth. That same life ends in death.

But in Death, there is Life. Those who live in Christ Jesus--assured of His promise of Salvation, shall be awakened after death.

And yes, there is life after death. Believe! Be like the mustard seed. That tiny little mustard seed that ordered the mountain to move, and the latter did move. By faith and steadfastness, alone.

So, do what you can in this life. Acquire your abilities, which The Lord God has given you the ability--by His Grace--and by Grace Alone. Make peace with your enemies--even if they do not accept it--make peace with them and pray for them. Love your family and pray for yourself.

Because, brothers and sisters, we do not know when we will wake up. So live in thanksgiving.

Happy Sunday, brothers and sisters in Christ.

He is really something isn't he? He is an innocent indvidual, kani si Manny Pacman! He gives without worrying for tomorrow or hoarding riches, and that is how it should be--why hoarde riches when we cannot bring that to us in the grave?

We are born naked from the mother's womb, and so we die naked--as we cannot bring anything with us aside from our hands, feet, and body.

He gives so much to the poor, he gives heartily to Church, and after every single win, he glorifies the Lord God.

That is why he is successful, that is why he is blessed. God shines down HIS graces on those who give. Heavenly Father knows everything, inside the heart and outward.

Platito,

That was an excellent post. And I believe that this discussion should be recalibrated back to the subject matter. The Church is in no way directly linked to this. Nor should it be even blamed.

Let us not blame the Church, ngano man i-blame-on nato when there are so many vices in society that are because of a lack of importance of Church; a result of over-secularization.

Moving Mountains

Savior, He can move mountains. Yes, He is mighty to save. The author of salvation, yes, He has conquered the grave. You can move some of the mountains in your life, if you just have the faith of a mustard seed. :)

Ask of it in Jesus' Name. And it will be made so. It's so easy, really. Just believe in Christ's powering and saving Grace.

Faith can move mountains. Its up to you, the individual, to accept it and live it.

Again, stop saying to yourself, "I can't, he can't, she can't. Oh I don't have the ability. I'm not good enough, not smart enough, not able enough."

NO! SILENCE! BE GONE SATAN!

With Jesus Christ, there is no impossibility. :)
Ask and it shall be given to you, knock and the door shall be opened unto you.

Again, its' about Faith. :)

God Bless,

Do not go down to their level. If they curse you, if they talk ill of you, ignore them. If they speak all ill things about you--to your face or behind your back--do not be like them.

Instead, Jesus Christ tells us:

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

47Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

49But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Dear brothers and sisters, sometimes it is hard for us to do good. Look in your heart, and examine the instances of your transgressions. God knows you, and I. Our faults, and our wayward inner parts. We all fall into that category. No one is exempt. (ROMANS 3: 23)

Let alone our faults and failures. So be open to him, brothers and sisters. Don't just lip worship.

Sacrifice by itself is not enough, Nor lip worship.

It is by FAITH and GOOD WORKS.

The Lord God Declares:
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Be A Good Husband:

2. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
3. not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
4. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect.
5. If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?
6. He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil.
7. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil's trap.
12. A deacon must be the husband of but one wife and must manage his children and his household well.

For those amongst you, who are aged, to the young, stop spreading rumors, and spreading slander.

Do you think that God is deaf to your rumors? To the lies that  you spread about? Neither is it blind nor mute to those that know that you spread rumors, and speak and spread ill.

For the Lord God strengthens those who are confident in Him, and blesses them who are being persecuted by ill words.

Bury your harsh nature, for it serves no purpose, but prepares a hole for yourself.

God Bless  You. May the Lord God have Mercy On You.

Do Not Covet What Is Not Yours

Either it is another man's wife, his possession, his understanding, even his life, do not covet it. For such things leads to damnation. If you see a man who is successful, instead of coveting what he has, bless him.

And if you, who are more wealthier than a poorer brother, don't look down on your brother or sister for being born poor or affected by finances, instead, be open to him, be compassionate and pray for them. Do not, in your self righteousness, think that you are better than they--for YOU ARE NOT!

Romans 3:23, "For ALL fall short in the GLORY OF GOD!"

WE are but a dust, pitiful dust in the eyes of God. So why should dust look down on dust?

Instead, pray for yourself, and pray for your brother and your sister. Covet not what is not yours. Covet what is your own. What God, who works in righteousness, allows and wills what you can and cannot do.

We are Dust. Remember that! From dust we came from, and to Dust we shall all return.

---

2 Peter 2:3
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

St. Peregrinus

Feast Day: May 16

First bishop of Auxerre in Gaul. Peregrinus was supposedly a Roman who received consecration as bishop from Pope Sixtus II in Rome and was sent to assist the evangelization of Gaul. He met with great success in the area around Massilia and Lyons, France. Most of what is known about him is legend, although there is no question that he was martyred under Emperor Diocletian in the late third century or early fourth century for interrupting a pagan ritual honoring Jupiter.

Control of the Tongue:

Those that have sharp tongues, and quickness to call out the wrongs of others, should look into themselves and see their own faults and their tresspasses before they backtalk other people.

For the Lord God is not Deaf nor is HE blind to such actions.

Christ Have Mercy on Them.

---

1Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

On St. Isidore the Farmer:

Many implications can be found in a simple laborer achieving sainthood: Physical labor has dignity; sainthood does not stem from status; contemplation does not depend on learning; the simple life is conducive to holiness and happiness. Legends about angel helpers and mysterious oxen indicate that his work was not neglected and his duties did not go unfulfilled. Perhaps the truth which emerges is this: If you have your spiritual self in order, your earthly commitments will fall into order also. “Seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness,” said the carpenter from Nazareth, “and all these things will be given you besides” (Matthew 6:33).

Isn't it amazing, Mr. Ferniz, that these soldiers had the bravery to march in file in condensed lines to face each the field, to load rifles, and fire. Knowing that in each battle, there is a high chance for one to get shot or killed but musket fire?

And in those days, there were no such thing as antibiotics, lest blood transfusion, or anesthetics. So if a soldier was shot in the femur, he would be amputated, with no anesthesia, no comfort aside from whiskey to dull the pain, and a piece of wood to bite on, while the surgeon sawed his foot/ leg off.

Most of the time, soldiers died of infection from battle injuries than in the battle itself.

I have a friend, a fellow history student back in Allegheny, Rob Ayhers, who graduated 3 years before I did. (class of 2005). His great great great great great grandfather served in the continental American Army. He is burried in their family farm's funeral plot.

I cannot begin to imagine being in a line of men, standing, receiving fire and wait to be commanded to fire back. Knowing and seeing friends and comrades in arms dying around me.

I honor those soldiers that died with such bravery and distinction.

Though pathways we must follow,
Be fraught with tears and grief,
If we but take the time to pray,
We'll find a sweet relief,

For praying rests the weary,
And that is what we'll find,
Rest for soul and spirit,
And rest for heart and mind.

So when your heartaches weary you,
There's no need for dismay,
Just lay your burdens at His feet
To whom you daily pray,

And He will lift your burden,
And bring you sweet relief,
And quiet every storm of life,
And calm your heart-felt grief.

God be with you in your loss.

Poems and Poets / The Passage
May 16, 2009, 07:01:09 PM
By: J. H. Lee Jr.

All God's creatures on the earth
Must enter through death's door,
Into that glorious mansion,
And life forevermore.

For death is earth's own passageway,
And none can go beyond,
Except they enter through that door,
And cut the earthly bond.

For those departing spirits,
The entry brings relief,
And pain and sorrow which they knew,
Seems but a moment, brief.

For in that world of spirits,
Rejoicing does take place,
When they, at last, are free from earth,
And heaven's light embrace.

The feeling of contentment
Within their heart and soul,
Is such a special witness
That they can now be whole.

And though they miss their loved ones
Whom they had left behind,
The joy they now experience,
Is a far richer kind.

So in the passing moments
That life moves ever on,
Remember, oh remember,
There awaits a glorious dawn.

the wonderful sound of your voice,

Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice.
Let Your ears be attentive to my voice in supplication.
If You, O Lord, mark iniquities, Lord, who can stand?
But with You is forgiveness, that You may be revered.
I trust in the Lord; my soul trusts in His word.
My soul waits for the Lord more than sentinels wait for the dawn.

For your anger and humility, thank you, Papa.
For opening your heart to our cries and realization of our sins, failures, Thank You, Papa.

To look past our sins and our faults,

Amigo, anong price sa turkey sa Pilipinas? Dahil dito sa 'states, hindi mahal ang turkey: maraming range pero basic turkey price ~$5 for a decent whole turkey. Personalemente, walang differencia sa grade A at lower grade turkey dahil same animal yan naman. Diba?

Price is based on the skin. If you like the turkey skin, the price of turkey will, naturally, be more. As well as size and breeding. Overall, in a biochemical and nutritional aspect; its all the same. A basic turkey can become 'regal' with just the right amount of spices, marination.

Let us not involve the Catholic Church in this as it has nothing to do with this illegal gambling done by the Barangay Captain.

Priscilla, the Holy Roman Catholic Church ABHORS gambling, abortion, murder, rape, and all social vices and sins that are deemed detestable to the sight of God. Since the birth of the Catholic Church in the 1st century AD.

The Catholic Church is a universal church; either it is in AMERICA, or ITALY, or FRANCE or PHILIPPINES. it is the ONE, HOLY, APOSTOLIC CATHOLIC CHURCH.

There may be corrupt members in some churches, who have allowed their vices to get the best of them--but the Church itself is not guilty. The Church is untouchable. It is impervious to sin, and ruin. Christ HIMSELF told Peter that he would be with the Church and not even the gates of hell would touch or overrun the Church.
---
Jesus Declared:
"I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven."

World Daily News / Re: Japan: Suicidal Nation?

That correlates with psychiatric and behavioral science, Mr. Benne.

The more organized an individual becomes, a population gets, the more stressed they are. This leads to chemical and hormonal imbalance--as it overworks the pituitiary and hypothalamic region of the brain.

Depression manifests, and as you said, given the limited protective net in Japanese society--let alone a lack of Christian religious morals and Christian Ethic, there really is no hindrance to such a massive rate of suicides. 30,000+ in a year is too much imho.

What is alarming is that most of the victims/culprits are adolescents.

All these signs are pointing towards clinical depression. Late signs already.

This is actually great for some kind of Ph.D doctoral thesis in Pschology or Sociology. On basis of Economic depression manifesting in National Depression; in the lines of social, religious, and cultural aspects. A study of said aspects--divulge more into it and examine the hypothesis of said subject matter.

"Hey bolingitboy,

Yes I agree, perchance have you ever tasted turkey? Turkey is actually one of the healthier avian species to eat. Very low in fat, and their intake of wild berries, flowers and free ranged hemlinths add to its taste"

lorenzo, i'll keep this info in mind per chance i'll get my hands - or should i say my mouth rather - on some turkey. unfortunately, you can't turkeys in groceries, public markets or even specialty restos in this country except for turkeys as in jerks :-). but kidding aside, most of the turkeys you find here are raised mostly for personal consumption and it's easier to find ostrich meat than turkey in traditional food outlets like markets or restos.

During Thanksgiving Day, here in the 'states, Bolingitboy, if you go to any market house in the states everyone will be buying a whole turkey for their own Thanksgiving Day celebrations.

Turkey also has a generous share of tryptophan, which induces sleep after eating. lol. Its a great inducer of the Parasympathetic nervous response (rest and digest).

Mas healthy pa ning turkey.

I actually recommend frequenting turkey than chicken. Kai, in my opinion, much healthier pa and tastier. Ug worried mo about the fat content; simple ra. Just remove the skin and cut off the excess fibrotic and adipose tissue (fat).

Bake it in the oven or broil it--or however your cook it--and enjoy it with a nice side of veggies.

Jesus Answered, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13This is why I speak to them in parables:
   "Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 14In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
   " 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15For this people's heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
      hear with their ears,
      understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.'[a] 16But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

18While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live." 19Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.

20Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."

22Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.

23When Jesus entered the ruler's house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd, 24he said, "Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at him. 25After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26News of this spread through all that region.

The conversion of the first Roman.
By the POWER of Jesus Christ.

The conversion of the first Roman by Jesus Christ.
How befitting that in the end, Rome, the city and Empire, would eventually become Christian.

---

5When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6"Lord," he said, "my servant lies at home paralyzed and in terrible suffering."

7Jesus said to him, "I will go and heal him."

8The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."

10When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, "I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

13Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour.

Bible Study / Stop Worrying

"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Mr. Ferniz,

You're a great dad, Sir.

Fathers out there, deserve all the love and respect of their children.

A father's love is unique and really needed for any child. A father's hand corrects, and directs toward the right path. A father's words, sterns a child, and bears witness to right and wrong. A father's reprimand is not only to correct, but is an act of Love. He reprimands because he loves his child. He reprimands because he cares for their welfare and future.

My father is not a talkative type of man. Very quiet siya in person. Very retiscent and reflective man, is my dad.

As a youth and adolescent, I used to argue with my dad and he knows how much I tested his patience. But now, I look back at those years and cannot help but smile in the love that Dad put in correcting me and my baby siblings.

In my adult life, I realize that I am very similar to my father. My mannerisms, and even my outlook on things--I have come to notice that it is very similar to my father's. My younger brothers would joke with me, "Kuya, you sound like Dad, when you're angry." hahaha. I joke around with them. Before, when the said that, I would say, "No, I don't."

But now, I am honored to even be compared to my father. He is my role model. Sometimes I don't feel worthy because my father's shoes are very large. Throughout my life, my father has sacrificed alot for us--his children. Iyang priority was always us kids and the family. He may not verbally be so open to say I love you--but he does so in his own way.

And when our dad does tell us that he loves us---it is a big thing for us kids.

I can remember--when it was in my 1st year of college---as my parents unpacked my things--and they got ready to drive back home to New Jersey and leave me in Allegheny College--I can remember my stomach churn. Because i have never been so far away from my family before. 500 miles away.

My father, came up to me with tears in his eyes and said to me, "I Love you Doy'" And that was it. I could not even look straight. I kept my tears. And as soon as they drove away--after hugging my mom and my dad and sibling, i could not stop crying. As I watched them drive away, all I could htink of was my Dad.

Seeing Daddy drive away brought me memories when I was a child---only 4 years old. When dad was still an Engineer in Saudi. I remember he came back for vacation and when it was time for him to go back to Saudi--i didn't want him to leave me. I got so angry--that i even took my bag and packed clothes--my shirt, chinilas, shirts, pants , kai gusto ko mo kuyug ni Daddy. Ingoon sija nako, 'Dili puydi, Doy."
And he left for Saudi--and I remembered crying so hard. Kai mingaw ko ni Daddy. Always wanted to be with my Dad in my early childhood.

And when dad dropped me off in College--and drove away. It awoke my old memories.

My dad is so very important to me. To my heart.

A father completes a home, imho.
