"A wealth of flowers. A hint of warmth. A deepening of emotions. Rich floral fragrance captivates the senses with a heart of water hyacinth, brightened with mandarin and blond woods. Wear it and have a happy heart."

get the idea? if you get to smell this, it will remind you of me... hehehe!  ;D

Hehehe clinique is nice. I bought a clinic facial cream for my xgf several months back. She always put the cucumber-scented cream. When i kissed her--i could smell the cucumber and lime scent.

Her silk robe was red.

Scent: vibrant, pure, and masculine, this crisp blend of mandarin and petit grain, spiced with sexy mineral amber, evokes a brisk, aromatic freshness, with an elegant Mediterranean touch.

Its perfect for autumn, as one walks around the park--with scarf around the neck, wearing khaki pants and black Bostonian shoes. This scent complements the cool autumn breeze, as one looks to the trees--see the orange and red colors.

As the cool chilly breeze hits your face, scintillating the cologne's scent. All the more.

#37907
Thanks for this, Ate Lee!

Poems and Poets / Salve! To Woman's Lips
May 24, 2009, 12:02:43 AM
I know of a woman,
Whose lips sing glory to man
Redder than vein's life blood

I know of a woman,
As she opens her mouth,
dost appears the whiteness of her teeth
the reverie and satisfaction to man
And closes her lips,
Teasingly so.

I know of a woman,
Whose gate performs the feminine gallop
Whose ankle so light teases the eyes of man
So light is her ankle, so soft is her footsteps.

I know of a woman,
whose sweet breath is as ripe
as the juice of nectar.

I know of a woman,
whose lips are soft as spring morning
as the sun perches high above on wednesday morn
Ah, so soft and so inviting is her lips.
Whose taste and attachment dost bring reverie to a man.

Softest of soft lips
Rubor of Rubors
Calor of Calors
Dolor of Dolors
Let mine lip never leave thy soft eloquence.

Her Lips..

For a woman, in a woman, i love it when she wears JLO. I forget the name of the specific perfume, but its a JLO brand. My sweetheart wore that to our senior prom, and even to this day, if i smell that scent when i pass a woman in the mall or at any setting, I will turn my head to see who it was.

Carnal hunger sets in. Oh, did i say that? Sorry. :P

General Topic / Re: The Great Swine Flu Deception
May 23, 2009, 11:02:02 PM
Admittingly, I myself got caught up into this storm. Why even 2 weeks ago we had a general medical assembly here in campus--where the administration of the medical school talked to us students from 1st years to 4th years.

They discussed the symptoms, treatment options, development of care and vaccination.

Because of this, some professors instituted clean-clean methodology in labs. At every classroom there are antibacterial hand lotions, etc.

What I got out of this:
Thanks be to God that this influenza strain wasn't as deadly as compared to the Spanish Flu in the early 20th century--which was responsible for over 20 million deaths.

Then again, the advances of medicine since then--has been overall, substantial.

Nevertheless--we should keep a positive outlook. At least the global community responded properly. Communication--definitely works wonders in facilitating proper health-care resource response.

Thanks be to God.

Quote from: simplylee on May 23, 2009, 09:24:56 PM
I think we don't have to commit sin or sins for us to be saved, for us to be saved we have to accept or acknowledge that we are sinners. Since we are born physically we are already condemned because of what we inherit from our first father Adam.
Adam's original sin+physical birth=separation from GOD. Sin is not the issue in salvation because the problem of sins were already been solved at the cross by our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Unlimited atonement is offered to all, but we have to use our own freewill or volition to believe what HE has done on the cross for us to be saved. Acts 16:31 Believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST and you will be saved. We have to use faith alone in CHRIST alone to obtain salvation. John 3:16 For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON that whosoever believes in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life.
Because of one man(Adam) we are condemned but because of one man(the LORD JESUS CHRIST) we are saved

Amen, Ate Lee!

#37930

I really admire this man.

The FIRST thing I see in the picture is the cross he wears around his neck.
He is an example of what we should always be. Even in his successes, he still gives GLORY to God first. In each of his wins or even losses, he gives glory to GOD.

That is why he is so blessed. :)

Proud of you, Mr. Manny Pacquiao!
#37931
lol, tsismis gamay.

People over here tend to have the 'keep to myself' mode. I try to break that tho, if I meet a person, I offer them my handshake. And its a pretty firm handshake. It wakes them up.

I notice the only time really there is a big and open contact amongst Americans is when we go to church. Aside that--its back to the hum drums of work and repetition.

Church is our time to 'regenerate' our batteries . To hear much needed sermons, and words of infinite comfort. Because, sometimes, our world is just so harsh. Its good to know and be reminded that we have an All Surpassing Loving God.

'Smart Alec' haha. Nice one, Mr. Benne.

#37934
Ah, wise choice of actions then, Manay. In difficult situations, silence is the best concoction.

This reminds me of the dialogues ive had with many Christians of different denominations in the ACO [Allegheny Christian Outreach], a collegiate association where many of us Christian collegians congregated, talked about scripture, differences in theology, etc.

It was an interesting experience, honestly.

I can understand  your perspective, Manay, you as a graduate of Siliman University--a strong Catholic Institution.

I remember having a conversation with a Calvinist brother who I really loved talking to. What really drew me in to our conversations was his mentioning of the notion of Predestination, which is what Calvinists believe in.

With that saying--in in that: those who are called to be saved are already saved, and those who are called to burn in the eternal pyre are already doomed to the eternal death.

My response was the hairs of my back being raised. Such an absolutist concept. And here I was--startled because there are so many people in the world that believe Catholics are 'hardcore' :)

The center piece of our discussion--was Salvation.
My point was: If we observe the Calvinist concept--then there really is no need for Christ Jesus since those who are called to be saved are already saved--there is no need to convert others--since only a select few are called to be saved. And even many Christians would be doomed to the eternal pyre.

His point was: God has already called who was to be saved; and there is no changing that. Predestination. Some have been predestined to live in eternity; some are predestined to burn, forever.

You can imagine--it was a heated debate. And I loved it. We both got alot from each other--he got a better / broader perspective of the Catholic viewpoint--not something he usually gets from sermons in the Minister's pulpit. And I--got alot from him. I admit i never knew much about our calvinist brothers, but since then--i had a better perspective.

What I got out of this--was the concept of Salvation is INDEED true. God calls everyone to be saved--it belongs to his or her own time--so long as he or she is open to the calling of the Holy Spirit.

My firmament in the Catholic Church was ever entrenched in our conversations.
I admit that.

Gec, did you hear that one time a pig and a chicken were at church?

A pig and a chicken were walking by a church where a gala charity event was taking place. Getting caught up in the spirit, the pig suggested to the chicken that they each make a contribution.

"Great idea!" the chicken cried.

"Let's offer them ham and eggs?"

"Not so fast," said the pig testily. "For you, that's a contribution. For me, it's a total commitment."

God Gave us 24 hour days. And 365 days. And 12 months.

Giving at least 5-10 minutes of our time for him everyday--or just go to church on Sabbath is really do-able.

We say to ourselves, "Oh I dont have time to go to church."

I liked the film's ending better that than novel. It was more plausible.

But it was difinitely better in the book when it came to explaining the significance of the "anti-matter". The scientists at CERN have recreated the "big bang" which is the point of creation, when matter existed, and which also marked the creation of its opposite, the anti-matter.  Here, God's existence was scientifically proven. It harmonized science and religion. But this was also used as the springboard for the Illuminati's revenge to the Catholic Church.

You had the chance to fully appreciate the anagrams in the book. An anagram is a word which reads the same way even if turned upside down. I doff my hat to the artist (I've been trying to fashion an anagram of my name but no success yet up to now). In the film, the anagrams branded on the chest of cardinals were shown only for a few seconds. The fifth sign in the film was different from the fifth sign in the book. I was more impressed of the book's fifth sign. It gave me the goosebumps and made me appreciate the artist's talent even more.

i believe it has sent a powerful message to the world, a message which Rome has been trying to recognize. Science and Religion are not in conflict but can work together to explain the truth. that is why Rome never makes any negative comments against this movie; they think it is a good portal for understanding several issues at stake.

Contemplative Thought:

This verse in scripture shows us the visualization of the Righteous Fury of God The Father.

In whose outstretched hand, smote all of Egypt, and the armies of Assyria. Whose blazing Power crystallized Sodom and Gamorrah.

Mighty and Great is the Lord God The Father!
And whose fury is Justified.

It reminds us---of His Judgment. And the only way towards the Father is by Jesus Christ.

Jesus Said, "Those who deny me before men, will I too deny before my Father."

Keep A Leveled Mind

In doing your daily objectives, work, projects, be like Jesus--in the Garden of Gethsemane, holding faith to The Father--even in times of difficulty. Stick to the path, uphold the goal. And Put 100% trust in The Lord. So that inasmuch as we have faith in Him, he shall be our benefactor in our daily goals.  As The Father will not give up on us, so, too, should we--not give up on ourselves.

We are told in Scripture of the time that Jesus went to the Temple, and at the realization of Jesus' absence, Mama Mary and her faithful spouse, Joseph, went about Galilee to look for Jesus. To her blessing, she found him on the third day--of all places--in the Temple.

She found her beloved son, Jesus, preaching and conversing with the learned men, priests, scholars, and all of whom were amazed and marveled at his understanding of Scripture.

Mama Mary asked Him, 'Where have you been?'

Jesus responded, 'I have been here in MY Father's House'

But at her request, Jesus followed his mother. For he was only a child.

Christ reminds us of obedience we should have for our Mothers.
Our precious Mom.

Christ Jesus respects HIS own beloved mother. And loved her fully.
At her request to make water into wine--due to the lack of wine--at a wedding engagement, JESUS--THE LORD GOD--THE GREAT I AM--heeded his own mother's request.
For the love of HIS own mother. :)

So we too should love our mothers.
As JESUS loved his own Mother.
Mama Mary.

Of course The Lord God said for us to love. But to properly place Love. And Jesus HIMSELF reminds us the preciousness of the Sacrament of Marriage. He reminds us that Marriage itself is a Vow. And precious is a Vow made before God.

Jesus reminds us that Vows are not to be broken:

"Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No ,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one"
--Matthew 5:33-37

Jesus Christ reminds us:
And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Matthew 19:4-6

So as we see, Jesus Christ, did not change nor did he move away from the messages he proclaimed as heard in Old Testament. As the Son is One with the Father. And from Father and the Son--proceeds the Holy Spirit. Three Persons In One God. The Holy Trinity.
It was Jesus--as His Father who told Abraham, Noah, and all prophets of Old of the sanctification of Marriage. His message has not changed at all.

It is man that changes. God does not.

And He does not. For He is the Same from Beginning, To the Present and to the End of the Earth--still He will be Everlasting The Same.

Will keep Fr. Reuter in my prayers, Manay. What an inspiring life he lives, and a message that uplifts. He reminds me of the late Bishop Fulton Sheen. With such a charismatic message.

His Eminence, Bishop Sheen would say, "Believe in the impossible and it will be possible! The Jews didn't believe Jesus could walk on water and he did! Peter didn't believe he could walk on water, but he did! Yes he did! Its when you doubt that you cannot do! Remember Peter!"

You are right, Misty.

We as a people are very hard headed. Even in time of Moses, the people were hard headed. Gahi kaayo ang ulo. :)

God Almighty--brought down the plagues on Egypt, he set forth the wirlwhind of fire against the chariots of Egypt. And the Israelites saw this.

Then when the Whirlwind died, the Egyptian charriots ran towards the Israelites. Again the Jews forsook the Lord God, telling Moses, "God has forsaken us!"

So to prove again that God was with them, God opened the Red Sea with his hand and allowed the Jews to pass through on dry land. And when the Egyptians followed suit, God Almighty unleashed the sea on them--drowning the entire Army.

And still the Israelites broke His Law!

Moses told them to wait while he talked to God to receive God's Laws.

And all the while, the Israelites decided to carve a Golden Calf! Can you believe? After God saved them and delivered them from centuries of bondage, showed His wonders and provided them with water, and food--they still worshiped a golden calf.

:)

How faithful is Our God. And how sinful are we!

All the answers to our questions can be found in the Bible, Misty.

Everything--EVERYTHING that is mentioned and taught to us in Old Testament, Our Lord Jesus Christ teaches and reiterates.

He does not tell us to break the laws. He fulfills the Laws.

Jesus Told Us:

Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Then why they allow divorce?

And the people asked Jesus: "Why then," they asked, "did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?"

The Lord Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because of the hardness of your hearts! But it was not this way from the beginning.

9I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."

And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery."

The LORD spoke:

You flood the MY altar with tears. You weep and wail because he no longer pays attention to your offerings or accepts them with pleasure from your hands. 14 You ask, "Why?" It is because the LORD is acting as the witness between you and the wife of your youth, because you have broken faith with her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant.

15 Has not the LORD made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring.  So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth.

16 "I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel, "and I hate a man's covering himself  with violence as well as with his garment," says the LORD Almighty.

So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith.

Nahum 1:2-15

2 The LORD is a jealous and avenging God;
       the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath.
       The LORD takes vengeance on his foes
       and maintains his wrath against his enemies.

3 The LORD is slow to anger and great in power;
       the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished.
       His way is in the whirlwind and the storm,
       and clouds are the dust of his feet.

4 He rebukes the sea and dries it up;
       he makes all the rivers run dry.
       Bashan and Carmel wither
       and the blossoms of Lebanon fade.

5 The mountains quake before him
       and the hills melt away.
       The earth trembles at his presence,
       the world and all who live in it.

6 Who can withstand his indignation?
       Who can endure his fierce anger?
       His wrath is poured out like fire;
       the rocks are shattered before him.

7 The LORD is good,
       a refuge in times of trouble.
       He cares for those who trust in him,

8 but with an overwhelming flood
       he will make an end of Nineveh ;
       he will pursue his foes into darkness.

9 Whatever they plot against the LORD
       he  will bring to an end;
       trouble will not come a second time.

10 They will be entangled among thorns
       and drunk from their wine;
       they will be consumed like dry stubble.

11 From you, O Nineveh , has one come forth
       who plots evil against the LORD
       and counsels wickedness.

12 This is what the LORD says:
       "Although they have allies and are numerous,
       they will be cut off and pass away.
       Although I have afflicted you, O Judah ,
       I will afflict you no more.

13 Now I will break their yoke from your neck
       and tear your shackles away."

14 The LORD has given a command concerning you, Nineveh :
       "You will have no descendants to bear your name.
       I will destroy the carved images and cast idols
       that are in the temple of your gods.
       I will prepare your grave,
       for you are vile."

15 Look, there on the mountains,
       the feet of one who brings good news,
       who proclaims peace!
       Celebrate your festivals, O Judah,
       and fulfill your vows.
       No more will the wicked invade you;
       they will be completely destroyed.

12 so that they may possess the remnant of Edom

13 "The days are coming," declares the LORD,

       New wine will drip from the mountains
       and flow from all the hills.

14 I will bring back my exiled  people Israel;
       they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them.
       They will plant vineyards and drink their wine;

15 I will plant Israel in their own land,

1 Woe to you who are complacent in Zion,
       and to you who feel secure on Mount Samaria,
       you notable men of the foremost nation,
       to whom the people of Israel come!

2 Go to Calneh and look at it;
       go from there to great Hamath,
       and then go down to Gath in Philistia.
       Are they better off than your two kingdoms?
       Is their land larger than yours?

3 You put off the evil day
       and bring near a reign of terror.

4 You lie on beds inlaid with ivory
       and lounge on your couches.
       You dine on choice lambs
       and fattened calves.

5 You strum away on your harps like David
       and improvise on musical instruments.

6 You drink wine by the bowlful
       and use the finest lotions,
       but you do not grieve over the ruin of Joseph.

7 Therefore you will be among the first to go into exile;
       your feasting and lounging will end.

Isaiah 60

1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come,
       and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

2 See, darkness covers the earth
       and thick darkness is over the peoples,
       but the LORD rises upon you
       and his glory appears over you.

3 Nations will come to your light,
       and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

4 "Lift up your eyes and look about you:
       All assemble and come to you;
       your sons come from afar,
       and your daughters are carried on the arm.

5 Then you will look and be radiant,
       your heart will throb and swell with joy;
       the wealth on the seas will be brought to you,
       to you the riches of the nations will come.

6 Herds of camels will cover your land,
       young camels of Midian and Ephah.
       And all from Sheba will come,
       bearing gold and incense
       and proclaiming the praise of the LORD.

7 All Kedar's flocks will be gathered to you,
       the rams of Nebaioth will serve you;
       they will be accepted as offerings on my altar,
       and I will adorn my glorious temple.

8 "Who are these that fly along like clouds,
       like doves to their nests?

9 Surely the islands look to me;
       in the lead are the ships of Tarshish,
       bringing your sons from afar,
       with their silver and gold,
       to the honor of the LORD your God,
       the Holy One of Israel,
       for he has endowed you with splendor.

10 "Foreigners will rebuild your walls,
       and their kings will serve you.
       Though in anger I struck you,
       in favor I will show you compassion.

11 Your gates will always stand open,
       they will never be shut, day or night,
       so that men may bring you the wealth of the nationsâ€"
       their kings led in triumphal procession.

12 For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish;
       it will be utterly ruined.

13 "The glory of Lebanon will come to you,
       the pine, the fir and the cypress together,
       to adorn the place of my sanctuary;
       and I will glorify the place of my feet.

14 The sons of your oppressors will come bowing before you;
       all who despise you will bow down at your feet
       and will call you the City of the LORD,
       Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

15 "Although you have been forsaken and hated,
       with no one traveling through,
       I will make you the everlasting pride
       and the joy of all generations.

16 You will drink the milk of nations
       and be nursed at royal breasts.
       Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior,
       your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

17 Instead of bronze I will bring you gold,
       and silver in place of iron.
       Instead of wood I will bring you bronze,
       and iron in place of stones.
       I will make peace your governor
       and righteousness your ruler.

18 No longer will violence be heard in your land,
       nor ruin or destruction within your borders,
       but you will call your walls Salvation
       and your gates Praise.

19 The sun will no more be your light by day,
       nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
       for the LORD will be your everlasting light,
       and your God will be your glory.

20 Your sun will never set again,
       and your moon will wane no more;
       the LORD will be your everlasting light,
       and your days of sorrow will end.

21 Then will all your people be righteous
       and they will possess the land forever.
       They are the shoot I have planted,
       the work of my hands,
       for the display of my splendor.

22 The least of you will become a thousand,
       the smallest a mighty nation.
       I am the LORD;
       in its time I will do this swiftly."

Naa man, David.

The greatest of all women who followed the disciples after Christ' death was our own Mama Mary. :)

Si Mama Mary :)

And si Mary of Magdalene, after Christ saved her from would-be stoners, she followed him like all the other Apostles. She washed the foot of Christ and was there with Mama Mary in the Crucifixion.

The Mothers and Sisters--are examples of living the lives like Mama Mary.
The sisters of Charity and many other nunneries around the world--do the Will of God.

God Bless!
