When I was young (during my idealistic age) I would have opt for social revolution as in change the system. As I've gotten older (and hopefully, wiser), I tend to believe in inner change as the only feasible way, like you said (attitude and character change). I'm more into the wisdom of the old, whoever came up with them. Like the song said, "Let peace begin with me" if we want to have peace... or, "charity begins at home" (with self)... much like Christ said "metanoia," we must have a change of heart and/or inner transformation..." if we want to make a difference! Let's end all condemnation, accusations, judging and blaming others for the things we haven't done ourselves!!! Hehehe!!!  You can stone me if this is wrong!!!

Father, i was brought to tears in your message. Amen! The Spirit declares me to shout: AMEN!

Father, no one would dare to stone you in your message. First because it is very True.
Second, because none of us are born without sin. (Romans 3:23).

It is safe to say that men who have tried to destroy and break the Catholic Church themselves--and their own selves have been stroyed. Faded away. While the Church--May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to bless and Keep His annointed Church: The Holy Roman Catholic Church--the church that was founded by the works of Paul and Blessed Peter the Apostle under charge of Christ!

Men such as Voltaire, such as Marx, men such as Lenin, Stalin, men such as Robespierre, men with great thought yet fastidiously attacked the Roman Catholic Church are no longer here.

Nietzsche, a famous psychologist/ psychiatrist, once said, "God is Dead. Religion is poison--the opiate of the masses."

I can confidently say that Nietzsche is the one that is wrong. As Nietzsche is--himself--Dead. Let alone his old notions of psychological law have been reupidated by modern thinkers in psychiatric/psychological science. Same thing for Marx and Lenin. Both of whom attacked Catholicism and Christian Virtues that Catholic Church has defended and procreated for the span of 2000 years---to which Salvation has been brought to many parts of the Globe.

Now where is Lenin? Dead. Where is Marx ? Dead. Communism--the political concept that was idealized by Lenin is a fallen and dead concept. Not even the Chinese utilize Communist thought--as they have already embraced Capitalism---which is ironically the antithesis of pure communist thought. :)

The Catholic Church has survived storms in its history--from the protestant wars, to the reformation, to the heresies committed by many. It continues to stand. And it cannot be defeated nor can it be destroyed.

Christ HIMSELF declared to Peter, who is the ROCK of the Catholic Church---that not even the gates of Hell can conquor and overpower the Church.

So, naturally, we are confident--to the teachings we have been given and to which we PROCLAIM. Because it is TRUTH. The Spirit of Truth that has been with us since our Baptism.

In Christ,

I'll take 20% commited Catholics anytime vs. 100% Catholics in name only!

Speaking of abortion, protection of life from natural conception to natural death is a non-debatable issue. It's natural law. Ginoo ray dunay prerogative ana. On the other hand, wars, poverty, unemployment, social justice, capital punishments, etc are... The Church speaks on these issues, too, of course, based on Christ's teaching, as understood by her.

The job of being good and loving (helping) one another is not ONLY the responsibilty of the Church as an institution... Christ's great commission (ang SUGO) is for all of us who claim to be His (Christians)!!! And the Church is not lacking in teaching, examplifying & leading the way; it's only perception that you think it's otherwise (because you don't know better). That's what we do, we judge by what we see (but what we see is never a complete version hehehe)

Father,

Amen, I say to you and others in here: AMEN.

Yours In Christ,
Lorenzo

Mackey,

your so right, about your statement, but the intersting thing is that I have been noticing more Philippine persons losing touch with Catholicism and making choices of other faiths on their own.

Iam thinking in about 5 ore years the 90% could go down to even 75% unless the catholics can start making more practical changes and start helping out instead of doing what is the opposite.

I have a new saying; Why are catholics so against abortion but yet they just walk past kids with famine and starvation and homelessness in the streets?

Priscilla,

Don't be so quick to judge the Filipinos and their Catholic Faith, or for Catholics in that matter. One thing I can fullheartedly say about the Filipino is our strong sense of moral decency, and our quickness to forgive. Sure, there will be clamor, but generally as a whole, the Filipino people are a forgiving bunch. Even the situation with Hayden Kho, for 2-3 weeks it was an issue, but eventually the interest has died down and the people have forgiven him for his own actions. That is his matter and God will handle that in his own accord.

As for the Filipino rationale towards abortion, this is not only a Filipino aspect, friend. This is a moral and ethical decision. It is either you are for death or you are for life. Common, and absolutely simple.

We live in a culture of death--a we do. And for an individual to take up the stand and defend life--and the protection of life--life that is so innocent--it says alot.

Abortion is legal and utilized here in the United States, and has it really solved the problem? No, abortion and what not is just another 'option' for indiiduals who live such care-free lives. The notion of not worrying about using protection in sex can be countered with the option of just "getting rid of it" in the abortionist's clinic.

Some individuals even have the audacity to refer to a child in the womb as "It". Outrageous. Then again it doesn't surprise me--considering the culture of Death we live in.

The abandonment of Christian Virtue and morals, and the acceptance of Sin and embracement of sin and all its vices---that is the problem in society.

And as poor as the Filipino are--as simple as they are as compared to the more affluent societies such as the United States, Canada etc. There are less incidences of murder and shooting in the Philippines than say here in the United States. Suicide is a growing phenomenon here in the USA. Homicides and the like. Fare more in comparison to Philippines--which is a 3rd world nation. Surprisingly.

The United States is an uber secularized nation. It was a nation founded under Christian Ideals and Morals. Now, there individuals who are calling to repudiate the notion of 'God' in the United States constitituion, in schools, in courtrooms etc.

To completely deface the very foundation of this country. It is abhoric. We are losing our own identity.

As for the Philippines---i find it so charismatic that the Filipino still is so very CHRISTIAN. Even to this day. The youth are still so very CATHOLIC, CHRISTIAN, GOD FEARING. Majority of the Filipinos--that is.

Here in the US, most kids swear in God's name. They attack Christ, many join cults and occults, accepting aethiesm. All of  which offer no upstanding moral guidance at all.

Catholicism and Christianity is a solid basis for Morality, Judgment and Law.

The Catholic Church has always stood by for the defense of human life and the unborn since the foundation of the Church in the 1st Century AD during Pentecost Sunday.

And it will not change. Not until the coming of Christ Our Lord. Until then, the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, has a job to do. And that is to continue to preach TRUTH.

Even if some people don't like to hear it or disagree. The Church will continue to preach. As it has done so for the past 2 THOUSAND Years. :)
It cannot be defeated, you see. Christ HIMSELF told Peter that not even the gates of hell could overpower the Christian Catholic Church.

---
Jesus Christ said to Peter the Apostle, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven." This set the basis for Jesus' next point as He continued, "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it."

For students (Nursing) who are planning to take the NYCLEX, I highly suggest:

1. Kaplant Nursing
2. PASS Nursing
3. Falcon Nursing

---

I personally follow Kaplan Medicine Review; its perfect.
I took Kaplan Review for the MCAT and did decently.

I also know students who graduated nursing over here in the 'states and took a 3 month KAPLAN NURSING review course and scored 80-90% in their boards.

So good luck!

Aim High, always aim high.

God Bless and best wishes to all the future nurses.

LGU Philippines / Prayer for our Courts and Judges
June 05, 2009, 09:58:11 AM
Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of our nation.
You alone rule the world with justice,
Yet you place in our hands the solemn duty
of participating in the shaping of our government.
I pray today for our President and Senators
Who have the responsibility of placing judges on our courts.
Please protect this process from all obstruction.
Please send us men and women of wisdom,
Who respect Your law of Life.
Please send us judges with humility,
Who seek Your truth and not their own opinions.
Lord, give all of us the courage we need to do what is right
And to serve you, the Judge of all, with fidelity.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen

DAY 9

Psalm 8:3-9

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?  For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.

It seems that every moment of our daily life is so crowded with responsibility that we rarely take much time to consider anything of worth that may be going on around us

How many times have we heard the phrase, “Stop and smell the roses”?  Yet, how many times have we ignored that cliché and instead submitted to the all too “urgent” task at hand?  Is it this tendency that keeps us, at least in part, from acknowledging that God’s care for His sacred creation is paramount in His own mind?

The Psalmist gives us a hint at something worth considering.  He shares his thoughts concerning God’s handiwork: the heavens, the work of his “fingers,” and then points to God’s masterpiece â€" human life.  He declares to us that God is mindful of us, or to put it another way, God keeps His masterpiece in His thoughts.

Here is the point: God, the creator of the awe-inspiring heavens, is not distracted by the tasks before Him.  He is not pulled away, as we might be, by thoughts of something “more important.” Despite all that goes on in the universe, we are given the wonderful news that God is paying attention to and attending His crowning glory, His masterpiece of creation, which cannot be duplicated or replaced, which surpasses the beauty of all other created things â€" the human being.

There is no way to adequately describe how God feels about us as human beings.  There are no words to fully portray His love, compassion, or desire to be in communion with us.  Perhaps the closest we can come is to contemplate the thoughts of a mother as she gazes for the first time at her newborn child.  God cares for life.  We, as His followers, should take time to consider the life He has created and which he has called us to love and protect.

Lord, you are the creator of all things.  Guide my thoughts to consider your creation in all of its majesty, beauty and holiness.  Guide my heart especially to your creation of precious human life.  Help me to comprehend how essential life is in your own heart.  Teach me to appreciate, love and protect all human life through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.   Amen.

MSRA = di ba ni korekong? lol

MRSA = Methicillin Resistant Staph Aureus

What you need to know about Staph Aureus is that it is a gram positive, catalase positive, coagulase positive cocci.

It can cause a host of diseases; such as UTI, Acute Endocarditis, Toxic Shock Syndrome, Pharyngitis and even Mengingitis.

It is a dangerous bacterial infection.

And what they mean about MRSA--> thiis is basically a bacterium that is resistant to broad spectrum of penicillin.

The reason they are resistant, Glacier, is because Staph Aureus has Beta Lactamase capability--meaning they are able to break down beta-lactam drugs. Penicillin and its derivatives are beta-lactam drugs; as they produce beta lactam ring structures that target the pathogen.

We can treat MRSA Staph Aureus.
Vancomycin can easily kill Staph Aureus and derivatives.
We can also give him celphalosporins, fluoroquinolones as well.
And if it is really severe, we can also implement surgical debridement.

Best,

'Oh what is an ACH and HTN again?'

How can you even ask that kind of question? First of all ACH is standard for acetylcholine--it is the basis for cholimimetics and cholinergic drugs. Its basic biochemistry and pharmacology. You would know this had you not cheated and copied on exams.

Pathetic.

What is HTN? You asked me this--are you serious?
HTN: Standard acronym for Hypertension.

This is all material from medical physiology and surgical neuroanatomy.
Last year's material..

We are 2nd Year medical students. I don't understand why some students have to cheat in exams. Or show notes during exams. During my exam someone tried to copy of my answers in the scan tron sheet. This had me reeling. I had to report this individual after the exam.

Preposterous! How can you be a medical student and try to copy from another medical student?

You passed Medical Legal Ethics last year, but you are copying ?
Where is the ethical notion? Where is your morals?

How can you be be a Physican-in-Training and have the audacity to copy and cheat in exams?

I have no sympathy for you. Absolutely absurd!

I dont understand why the attending gave that one patient Nifedipine to treat his Heart arrythmia. Yes, Nifedipine is a CCB (calcium channel blocker), but its a weak heart affector and focuses more on vascuar vessels.

A far more effective Cardiac affector would have been Verapamil and Diltiezam.

And when we told him about the lower affinity for dihydropyrodine in treating cardiac defects--he didn't even listen. Nicedipine was effective back in the early 90s, but now we have newer drugs--cardiac specific.

I also highly recommend 'Tactical Emergency Care: Military and Operational Out-of-Hospital Medicine'

Written by Robert De Lorenzo.

This book explores the new and rapidly developing area of tactical EMS, a special blend of prehospital care and military-style tactical operations encompassing field and wilderness medicine under austere and often hostile conditions. This is the first commercial book to focus on military medicine at the EMT/military medic level. Focusing on the unique prehospital problems facing tactical EMT's, the book covers wounds from conventional weapons as well as nuclear biologic, and chemical weapons. Medical evacuation, environmental medicine and triage as well as ambulatory care and topics unique to EMT's providing law enforcement medical support are also addressed. Medical information coders etc.

Great read. Definitely complements Med. Legal Ethics. :P

I am currently reading a book entitled, "The Filipino Physician Today : A Practical Guide to Holistic Medicine"

It is written by Eva Irene Yu-Maglonzo.

The book helps students of medicine learn about the different roles of the physician today; health care provider, educator and counsellor, researcher, social mobilizer and manager. It develops a biopsychosocial approach and addresses the patient holistically --- a practical guide for individual learning as well as for classroom discussion.

A must read for the Filipino/ Filipino-American Medical Student.

I totally endorse this book.

Bible Study / The Whole Armor Of God
June 04, 2009, 11:52:54 AM
A reading from Ephesians Chapter 6 (verses 10 to 19):

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,  praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,  and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,  for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,  I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,  having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,  and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might  that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,  far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.  And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church,  which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

Bible Study / The Sovereign Role Of Christ
June 04, 2009, 11:26:29 AM
A Reading form The 2nd chapter of Colossians (verses 9 to 15):

For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,  and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.  In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,  having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.  And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,  by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.  He disarmed the rulers and authorities  and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

Bible Study / The Antichrists
June 04, 2009, 11:15:34 AM
A reading from the 1st book of John, Chapter  2 (verses 18 to 23):

Children, it is the last hour and just as you heard that the Antichrist was coming, so now many Antichrists have appeared. Thus we know this is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not really of our number; if they had been, they would have remained with us. Their desertion shows that none of them was of our number. But you have the anointing  that comes from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.

I write to you not because you do not know the truth but because you do, and because every lie is alien to the truth.

Who is the liar?
Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ.
Whoever denies The Father and The Son, this is the Antichrist.
No one who denies the Son has the Father, but whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.

DAY 8

Psalm 104:27-30

These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season, what you give them they gather in; you open your hand they are filled with good.  You hide your face, they are troubled; you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.  You send forth your Spirit, they are created; and you renew the face of the earth.

“I am a feather on the breath of God”

As the quote above portrays, we are upheld by the power and purpose of God. Our very existence on earth (from our body’s first breath to its last when we leave to return home) is our Father’s choice and happens only by His willing it so.  He who created the universe also created that which is “me.”  I do not “have” a soul â€" I AM a soul.  My entire purpose in this life, while I inhabit this body, is to find my way back to my Creator.

Beloved Father, remind us today that there is no truth but you.  Do not let us fall prey to the evil one’s lie that we may choose death.  Remind us right now that you who created all life are in control of all life, and let us choose life always. Father, please let us hear your voice more today than yesterday â€" keep lighting the pathway home. Father - we’re on our way. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Right now Raquel your baby is reaching its growth peak in intrauterine life. You will probably notice that you have an increased urinary urgency. The reason for this is because baby's increased girth and size has placed tension on your renal system; particularly the urinary bladder. This stimuli sends afferent signals to your limbic system to release the tension and release urine.

In this culminating peak of life, your child has already reached apex growth intrauterine. All the air, food, and Immunoglobulins baby has come straight from you, through diffusion through the umbilical cord or through membranous diffusion of enzymes and hormones from mother to child.

The child's complete maturation prior to partition requires your body to rest, and to maintain homeostasis with ample amounts of nutrition--per se food. Protein, fiber, citrus--as it provides a strong IgG/IgM from mother to child. Your body--you--are transferring your antibodies to your child--as we speak.

So that the child upon birth has some kind of protection from the pathogens of outside life--away form the sterile and protective environment of mother's womb.

So drink alot of orange juice, ample food, rest, and evade physical stress.
It can raise the child's bp, and stress level. Considering--mother and child--are one organism right now. He can detect your heart beat, heart rate. Child's sympathetic and parasympathetic autonomic nervous system is completely linked to mother's.

If mom is stressed--baby will be stressed. If mom is relaxed, baby will be relaxed. If mom laughs alot, baby will roll around and kick. :)

I remember when my mom was pregnant with Andre back in 1998. Mom would lay in our bed and read Bearnestein bears books and bible passages to Andre. And my sister and I would watch--observing that Andre was kicking and listening to mommy's voice.

:)

it makes kids smart. Andre right now---is a very good reader---academically. I think it was because my mom always read to Andre when she was pregnant with him. That or the smart genes lol.

Ate Raquel,

Right now you are in your latter part of the 3rd semester, make sure you evade in unecessary physical activity right now. You need to rest, drink and eat. Don't put stress to yourself because the baby feels what the mother feels. I'm praying that all goes well with you, and remember---trust whatever the OB/GYN tells your regarding emergency surgical procedure--if it is necessary--it is for the good of mother and child.

Please, Please, Please, don't work so much anymore. You need to rest, and relax. Eat properly, and if you feel that the pain in around your lower extremity is unbearable, do ask your husband to drive you to the clinic.

Do take care of yourself, and most of all for the little baby thats still growing. You're in my prayers, Raquel.

How far along are you know? What week?

Somewhat agree.

When I was in love with my beloved, it was more like butterflies in my stomach everytime i was near her. And being in class--and thinking of her all day long; just waiting till Molecular Biology lab ended--so i could go back to my apartment, get dressed and knock on her door. And hang out. :)

Or as I  walked from one building hall to the next building---then as I cross the intersection in the street---i can see from far away Anne's dark blonde hair. She waves at me--and my stomach reigns on butterflies just seeing her so excited. And having to contain my natural urge to smother her with kisses--because people were about. ;)

Oh man, being in love is really sweet. Its like flying in the clouds~~

My advice from expereince and watching what others go thru is do your homework do not just follow your heart follow your head as well.

Hmmm?

What may seem good in your country may not be good in the other cultures.

Be open minded to anything and in some countreis you merry the bride her parents the entire family including dogs, cats and the goldfish that swims around in his goldfish bowl!

He he he he!

You will both learn from one another and your parner should be the best one to be honest in explaining t you why things happen the way they do.

At times some cultural diversities can be shocking for some.

Tha is why I said keep yourself open minded do your homework live with each others families first before living alone.

Trial basis.

Thats the thing tho--when love hits--its hard to control urges. Love even mitigates the flaws of people or numbs an individual from seeing those flaws.

Some end good, some end bad. But in the end--isn't that what a relationship is? A risk?

A linguistics professor once said, "Once you taste the nectar of the gods, it is impossible to revert back to simple mortal fruits."

I think it is safe to correlate that with women. In any term.

There's no comparison to a woman's busk. Her face, her breast, her hips, her legs, her ankle, her voice, her pherimonic levels. lol.

Male testosterone level increases, biochemically, without our own conscious awareness---but it does increase when near a woman who is eminating pherimones.

Hence the development of 'Machisimo' mannerisms. Its a result of female presence. ;)

Reminiscence:

2nd semester of my 1st year in college. I was teamed up with Christine, we had the same Chemistry 112 course (Inorganic Chemistry), so we had to share the same lab equipment, locker, etc. Lab mates. From day 1 I immediately realized that this girl was a control freak. When I touched the automatic pipette to dilute the substrate, she yelled, "Dont touch!"

Amazed and aloof at her outburst, but ravished at her cute face, I puffed my lips and swallowed my annoyance. I gave in.

So it continued to--this kind of lab relationship for 2-3 weeks. Until the week of our Lab exam, i couldn't stand it anymore. I requested the lab instructor for a new partner (to take effect after the 1st exam, of course). So the next week--i was partnered with another person.

Christine was angry at me because apparently in her words, 'I betrayed' her. How is transferring a betrayal? First of all, i couldnt even stand this girl. Every time I tried to correct her--and I knew i was correct because--modesty be set aside--science is a past time for me. But anyways--we had 2 quizzes that we had mistakes for because she didnt accept my correction. lol.

Today we're just friends. Never asked to be partnered with her after our 1st lab experience.

Typical Christine.

Lesson of the story: Some ladies can be great friends. but really bad partners. ;D

When it comes to relationships, serious ko kaayo. Pero dali ko ma louran.
If ang baji--if i get a vibe that she is very uwagon uwagon--too open ra,
dili na mo work out.

If i she smokes, if she drinks excessively (like binge drinking), dili na puydi. I loose interest immediately.

Family--family is a big thing for me. If she is disrespectful to her mother and father or siblings from how she treats them in the phone--i loose absolute all interest. Even if the lady is physically beautiful. Ugly heart. Dili na puydi.
I dated and courted a  girl in my 3rd year in college---sweetheart from class. I had the hots for this girl; like crazy for her. We went out on dates--started as coffee dates, then to library dates, then to sneeking out at night to go over to her dorm to hang out.
Pero one thing that disaudded me was how she treated her mom on the phone. Whenever her mom called--she would hav a high pitch tone when she talked to her mom. in my mind i would say, "why do you treat your mom like that?". Because of that--i lost interest in her.

I still remain friends with her, pero that is it lang. If she treats her own mother like that--imagine how a woman would treat her husband or her husband's family.

I could not bear to live with a wife that disrespects and maltreats my own mother, and my family. I would only marry a woman if i get the blessings from my parents.

Haha, you know i noticed that alot of white guys that I hang out with tend to have a 'thing' for Asian girls. I joke with them--saying they have the 'Yellow Fever'. We laugh, we chuckle over it. But i think there is something to the foreign beauty that draws natural/innate attraction. Well for me--that is. I don't know about you guys/gentlemen, perhaps you feel the same way, perhaps not.

For me, something about a woman having red or blonde hair captivates my interest. It's just so 'foreign'. Its attractive. Even the girls that ive dated in the past--just seeing their green or blue eyes--i know its just a genetic recessive trait, but the fact that its so recessive makes it so attractive. For me--that is. You might feel the same way, or not, whatever.

So when I look and analyze it in perspective; white men's interest and attraction to Asian women is understandable. The Asian woman's black silky hair, tan to yellow skin tone and almond curved eyes attracts them. Because its so foreign. Foreign in a beautiful way.

And if we look at it in genetic and scientific perspective; its actually better.
The more you mix, the less likely chance you get genetic isolation.
And plus, when you intermingle with 2 races; you take the best of each race and produce a hybrid--that has the strengths of 2 races. Seen in the offspring.

Dili tanan :) Just as we don't want foreigners to generalize the Filipina in negative aspects, i dont think we should generalize Italian women in negative aspects.

One plus thing about Italian girls--just from my own personal dating experiences include:

1. Very Roman Catholic --conservative ilang mentality
2. Very family oriented-- Italian women love to have the 'Paisanos and Paisanas' over :)
2b. Italians have a large 'nuclear' family. Similar to the Filipino nuclear family.

3. Italian women--well the ones that ive dated--always mention the deep yearning to settle down. To marry, and to "make the babies" ;D 'little paisanos and little paisanas"
hahaha

4. They don't believe in divorce---as I said again---very conservative and traditional--most Italian women even the youth. As in marriage is forever.
Pariho rapood sa ang mga conservative/traditional Pinays out there.

If I did happen to marry a non-Filipina; it would probably have to be an Italian or to a Spaniard/Latina. Just because religion is a big thing for me. She has to be Catholic.

I was watching a documentary earlier today on the Universe. Right now NASA scientists and astronomers have already concluded that there is an estimated over 2 billion milkyways outside of our own. And the universe is growing, ever continuing, stars die, and the destruction of stars--emit natural elements: Hydrogen, Oxygen, Iron, Zinc,--all of which are the basic elemental units that make up amino acids: amino acids are the foundation and stepping stone to the creation of Life.

It is absolutely amazing to learn more about the universe. Because it shows us--with our weak minds and weak imaginations--just a glimpse of the GLORY that is God's Wonders.

Jeremiah rebuking King Joakim and reminding Joakim the evil he has committed before the eyes of the Lord God of Hosts.

---

And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias the prophet, after that the king had burnt the volume, and the words that Baruch had written from the mouth of Jeremias, saying:
Take thee again another volume: and write in it all the former words that were in the first volume which Joakim the king of Juda hath burnt.
And thou shalt say to Joakim the king of Juda: Thus saith the Lord: Thou hast burnt that volume, saying: Why hast thou written therein, and said: The king of Babylon shall come speedily, and shall lay waste this land: and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

Therefore thus saith the Lord against Joakim the king of Juda: He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out to the heat by day, and to the frost by night.
And I will punish him, and his seed and his servants, for their iniquities, and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Juda all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but they have not heard.
And Jeremias took another volume, and gave it to Baruch the son of Nerias the scribe: who wrote in it from the mouth of Jeremias all the words of the book which Joakim the king of Juda had burnt with fire: and there were added besides many more words than had been before.
