I  know this feeling. A strong friendship  bonding with my Father and to  think those hard days he had, is just like to rub salt to an unhealed wounds. It is my  wish to meet him again at Tagbilaran airport where I saw him the last time behind the old fence at the airport "nga ning-bye siya naho".  This picture I have always in mind...How I really miss him!

Just take your time....he is always in your mind and heart and through this you will feel his presence.

One day my male cat was for 3 hours disappeared, unluckily he  tumbled down from our terrace...his sister (female cat) was shouting/crying and much unease, lately  we noticed first that the other was not around unless until we heard him shouting underneath neighbors car.

Thank you Bayat, Louie will be staying home with Mike's son's visitation every now and then, Teebee has been moved to our new place for several weeks now. Bambi, If you paid your contractor via credit card (usa) you can dispute these charges for unfulfilled contract agreement. If you paid it by check/cash well, you are out of luck if your contractor refuse to fulfill your request.  However, you can write a letter to your local Better Business Bureau explaining the situation.  BBB will keep the record for future business dealing with this specific company.  This will prevent future misleading business arrangement with other people seeking their business.

Thanks Princess for the valuable infos.  Well, it is now a matter of 4 years when I handed that 50,000.00 Pesos cash without any written agreement/acknowledgement receipt in front of witnesses. In fact, it was my mistake..normally that work was estimated for about 39,000.00 but I pity  his 8 kids kay a bit related man lagi (that is why I said:  I will pay you 50TH if you will plant any kinds of trees too in that lot. That was our agreement... Resulted to: non single tree is planted  and the project after a year is already destroyed.  Yes, the required work was really badly done, now, I have contacted another one with a notarial records of agreement.

So, dear friends "trust is good but control is better"!  And don't be naive like me and don't commiserate when it comes to business.

Your citation is exactly the answer.   In my case, it was another kind of a business, I was the ordering party and as good natured as I am, I paid  100%in advance with full belief that the job will be done as agreed in due time and with a satisfactory result but........you can just imagine the  ending. It did costs lot of nerves, money and time.  I know, that Civil Contructing  Engr. doesn't have any knowledge about this tips from that Igorot businessman.

I learned from my past bad experienced engaged into kind of business just "talking with heart and feeling more pity to the other party". To avoid aggression and getting depressive waiting for a better outcome, doing it again  but must be duly signed and notarized under a notary public. Promissory note will not function at all.
