Lips most pure,

When I close my eyes, there you are.
I am taken back to the Antinque shops by Montclair,
How the old is adored by the young.
Past age in the present age.

The call of my name, and I stand.
The call of your name, and you answer.

Soft touch on soft touch
Whisper to me, oh do it again
I have missed you again.

A long passionate kiss awaits you.
Your Lover most loyal,

Wonder of my eyes,
How long as it been since our eyes gazed upon each others'?
Not so long, yet the hours seem an eternity.

Oh sweetest morsel, come rise, as your lover yearns to hold you in his arms.
And adorn you with kisses forevermore.

Do you know how conjuring your eyes are when you awake?
It is as if beauty has awakened from her long sleeping spell.
And your prince in wait.

I love thee with a love most pure.

Professional Social Matters:

Nothing looks more strict, regimented, handsome, solid than a man in a black suit, with dress shoes and a cleaned and trimmed beard. Introduce yourself to colleagues with a firm gait, and a firm handshake. Keep your eyes focused on everyone, and when you introduce yourself: --> While your hand gives a FIRM handshake, look directly into the receiver's eyes. Focused on it.

Be firm, be resolute.

Confidence exudes and will give you a professional demeanor so as to impress and easily network with colleagues.

At all times, be reserved.

The Beard Social Technique:

1. When sitting in a cafe shop, and a beautiful woman sits next to you; gently stroke your lower chinned beard using your pointer and thumb finger in continuous motion. Do this in a reserved and serious manner.

2. Use your peripherals how she will notice you.

3. Continue to ignore her for a bit, as if putting into emphasis that you are not focusing on her.

4. She will either introduce herself to you, or if you are daring, introduce yourself.

5. Women love the beard. It makes a man, a man. The epitome of male testosterone.

And remember, keep it cool. Reserved at all times.

Trimming Trick:

When dealing with your beard and if some parts are longer than others, to use an automatic trimmer and utilize a comb to clip it off. Evenly.
If the mustache gets too long and protrudes over the lip, clip it off using a thin scissor. Evenly.
Comb the beard daily after washing it. Apply generous amount of after shave around the shaved areas.
Good luck!

Ging, you are very well-informed. The Bill was actually more than 900 pages after it was distributed. It ended up more than 2000 pages. I doubt those who passed this bill read it.

Easy for th epoliticians to do to pass laws, but now it is the job of us, the medical profesisonals to uphold and honor this law. And we are lacking in numbers. As we speak we are in need over 200,000 nurses, and are in need of over 20,000+ physicians.

It takes 12+ years to produce a doctor. (4 years college + 4 years medical school + 4-5 years of residency training)

Obama will be out of office by 2 years and if reelected will be in office for another 4 years. Even after this, the problem will still stand considering how it takes 12+ years to train a physician. He should start by building more medical schools, increase residency capacities and allow importation of foreign medical graduates into the United States, thereby solving the medical situation.

Again, transparency, transparency. Let us see how things play.

You do have a point.

It still doesn't change the fact that most (except ra sa mga pinoy) Canadians that my husband and I know come to the US for their medical needs mao na maka-ingon ko doble ug gasto.

My husband's family is Canadian, they moved here when he was less than a year old pero syempre, daghan pa kaayo nabilin didto sa Canada.

Kung mo ingon gud ta ug HC, maayo man gyud na siya nga concept in a utopian society.

Mo Work jud ni sha pag-maayo KUNG naa enough doctors and nurses and medical staff to take care of you....in reality, dli bya mobakasyon ang sakit, they will never be enough. :-)

Lagi its better to give than to receive. Very Christian. Mohatag ka bisan ug nagkalisod ka, as long as makit-an nila nga gakayud ka, suyopan gihapon ka.

Pero according to CNN, 50% of all homicides and murders, sila naga buhat.

Buot jud nakong ipahinumdum nga ang mga taw nga naningkamot, mawad-an ba ug trabaho o naa ba, dili man gyud mapasagdan.

hahay, mini novela napud... :-)

Indeed it is better to give than to receive, however, The Lord is quite clear to us to live not in debt or to evade incurring more debt.

[Proverbs 22:7] The rich rule over the poor,
and the borrower is servant to the lender.

The more one borrows, the more one is enslaved. Let us hope for the best in this current situation.

Ging, I see that you are based in Texas. In around Houston?

Deficit upon deficit. We will be spending what this nation does not have; loaning and loaning.

Do not spend what you do not have.

Manay,

I apologize if I am not gifted enough to be concise for you. I do try to explain my point as best as I can, even citing examples of why I have reached this conclusions. If you want, i can break it down numerically.

1.) Canadians may have HC and have already paid for it, but they are still crossing the border to the US so they can be treated without waiting periods.

2.) Higher taxes = higher expenses = lower profits for businesses = higher barrier to expansion and growth = lay-offs = unemployment = BAD BAD BAD BAD (rise in crime, depression, less people that can be taxed, less money in the government pocket, bigger deficit, cutting budget of government programs like NASA, so on and so forth )

3.) Higher taxes = higher expenses = lower spendable income for most families = recreational and leisure industries will suffer = bad business = lay offs = unemployment (see above)

4.) Higher taxes = higher expenses = lower net income for the average filipino family = less $$$ coming into the Philippines = less cousins going to school = less $$ for the sick tatay and nanay

OR

5.) Higher taxes = higher expenses = lower net income for the average filipino breadwinner = filipino breadwinner will have to work double and triple shifts  = filipino breadwinner drops dead of exhaustion and fatigue  = everyone he/she is supporting in the Philippines will suffer.

6.) Obamacare will take care of those who don't have insurance...penalize those who can afford to but chose not to. Will provide insurance for those who can't afford to. Where's the personal choice and responsibility in this equation ?

7.) Main beneficiaries of Obamacare = dregs of society. Why punish the hardworking and upright population to reward the lazy, the indifferent, the irresponsible and the criminals ?

8.) Obamacare will give the government power over who will live or die. To evaluate whether you are worth saving or not. Heaven forbid I should be 80 and still want to live because my life is worth less than if I was 40 and wanted to die.

9.) Personal Choice. Personal Choice. Personal Choice. Personal Responsibility. Democracy. Right to chose. Right to privacy. Any of this ring a bell ?

10.) Obama, Pulosi and their little gang rammed this down everyone's throat without due diligence. They did not listen to protests, their town hall meetings reflected how most of them didn't even read the 900 page bill. They had made claims about what it could and couldn't do and then got disproved. Makes you think, if they tell us false information about little things, what are the big things they are hiding ?

I hope this is concise enough for you and hopefully the substance is there.

Here's to getting an A+
~Ging

:) Very well said, very well done, Ging!

I give you an A++

Lorenzo.

1 month growth, thus far, tho I had to trim it as requested by my father. Who believes that I should shave my beard off. Sadly I was disinclined to honor my father's request as it is quite difficult to grow a beard and shape it accordingly. It is the new fashion trend for the facial hair for young adults. It adds character and depth to a man, me-thinks. Quite military-strong, very machisimo bravissimo, ha ha.

1 month thus far:

My colleague joked around, "if you wore a black top hat you would look like Marcelo Del Pilar."
I think not. Marcelo, I must admit, had a beautiful beard. Spanish Mestizo man gud to si Sr. Marcelo Del Pilar.

I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin,
My hand will save.
Chorus
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
I, who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Chorus
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them.
They turn away.

Chorus
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
I will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my words to them.
Whom shall I send?

Chorus
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will send the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.

Chorus
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
Finest bread I will provide,
'Til their hearts be satisfied.
I will give my life to them.
Whom shall I send?

Chorus
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.

I went past the field of the sluggard, past the vineyard of the man who lacks judgment; thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins. I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw: A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest -- and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.

Proverbs 24:30-34

Be productive! The Lord gave you a mind, so use it. The Lord gave you hands and a body, so work honesty and faithfully with it! The Lord gave you a mouth to talk, use it wisely. The Lord gave you conscience and free will, Employ it!

Mike, I'm feeling a little nostalgic as I'm reminded of "them" whose names must be mentioned in TuBo ;D

Gotcha, Mike! ;D

To add to this, a bit of history:

Note that there are some pockets of Christians in Basilan and in the Tawi-Tawi Regions, particularly Roman Catholics. The reason for this is that during the late 19th century, the Spanish Crown was dealing with the insurgency in the south; and sent a division into what was then the impenetrable south, the muslim lands. The Spaniards were successful in defeating the Moros and subjegated them, and built a Catholic Church, as well as imported Visayans to the region. The Filipinos that served in the Guardia Civil were mostly from Manila, and a great host were from Cebu (the loyal city of Cebu of the Spanish Empire, as it was then called). Many of the Visayans that served in the Guardia Civil did marry into the local women where the were stationed. This propentiated the Christian faith and augmented some Bisayan words into what is the Moro dialect.

Cheers.

i can remember before our elders telling me that i have to get a passport for i need it if i want to visit them since i am residing in bohol..... yeah they really want to own Mindanao

The thought of separation from the Philippines is treason to begin with. We are one nation under God. From Illocos to the north, to Palawan in the west to the gates of Leyte in the east, to Cebu-Bohol in the central bosom, to the Tawi-Tawi Isles in the south, we are one Nation. One Republic. Under God. The Philippines.

The Spaniards called our Archipelago, "Las Islas De Filipinas, La Perle de Oriente " {The Philippine Islands, The Pearl of the Oriental }

For over 500 years our entity has been reaffirmed. Western and Eastern texts document it. And this so called "Bangsamoro" is nothing but a recent Islamofascist ideology that is bred by the ultra-religious muslim revolutionaries from JI movement in insular Malaysia and Indonesia (Islamiyah Jerimiyah). IJ is considered a radical terrorist wing by the UN and the United States, they are responsible for the bombings of Indonesian resorts, hijacking and killings of foreigners as well as secular politicians. The Bangsamoro entity and ideology feeds the same; and portrays the same brutality. There can be no Muslim Mindanao or any notion of an indepedent Bangsamoro because the majority of Mindanao is Christian Filipino. And entire republic is a Christian Nation. Over 90% of the Philippines is Christian.

If the muslims will dare to use ancestral rite as means for legitimizing their claims to some lands owned by Christian Filipinos in Mindanao, then the entire Filipino people have the right to claim "In Locum Parentis" By right of parenthood, we, non-muslim Filipinos are entitled to all lands that we live in now by right of parental presence and by right of power. Since the Christian Filipinos under the vestige of Imperial Spain was the one that conquored Mindnao and settled it during the epoch of  PAX HISPANICA from the late 16th century to the ending of the 19th century. The same blood that runs in our veins is the same blood that runs in our pre-Christian ancestors, who were the ones that lived in these islands prior to Western incursion.

And the religion of Islam is not indigenous to the Philippines, but was imported by Arab and Indian traders during the height of the Majapahit Empire of what is now Insular Java (Indonesia). So for the Bangsamoro to claim indigneous and ancestral rite, is rather a moot one. Since the TRUE original Filipinos were not muslims. Nor where they buddhist, nor where they Christian. But practiced animalistic paganism/ shamanism.

In this case, then the right of "In Locum Parentis" stands for Christian Filipinos.
It was the Christian Filipinos that built the Philippines and it is the Christian Filipinos that developed what is now Mindanao.
Particularly the VISAYAN people.

The Muslim pirates of Tawi Tawi, prior to the Spanish arrival, used to raid the towns and villages of present day Bohol, Leyte, Negros and Cebu and use them as slaves. Considering the great majority of the Filipinos, prior to Spanish Christianization, was pagan-animalistic  in religious rites.

The islamic faith was predominantly isolated in the southern regions of Mindanao as well as in pockets of urban centers in Luzon and in parts of the Visayas. For the most part, the majority of the Austronesian Malays of the Philippines practiced animalistic paganism. Many of whom were enslaved by the Muslims.

After Spain conquored most of the Philippines, they built light houses in Cebu and in Bohol to prevent Moro raids and attacks on the native settlements.

Even after the Christianization of the Philippines, the Moros still raided some unguarded communities, until the Spanish Crown implemented the Reconquista Edict for the Southern Philippines. Effectively settling Mindanao and bringing with them Christian Illongos, Christian Bolanons, Christian Cebuanos, Christian Leytenos into settling what is now Davao, General Santos, and other communities in the south. To this day there is a large Illongo-speaking population in Davao. As a result of the Illongo Diaspora to Mindanao. This, therefore, led to the Christianization of most of Mindanao. Leaving the Muslims and pushing them to the bukidnon regions/ mountainous regions of Mindanao.

There is no way the Bangsamoro will ever be effective. Christian Visayans are the ones that developed Mindanao.
By measure of Spain's Reconquista Edict.

Anne, the Bangsamoro want a seperate state and nation for all muslims, these are claiming all of Mindanao and all ancestral lands that the Muslims had claimed prior to the growth of Christianity and the Visayan Diaspora into Moro lands of Mindanao.

The Bangsamoro is a rebellious entity thought, whose idea of separation from the Philippines is in itself an act of treason.

It will never manifest considering the great majority of Mindanao is already Christian and the Philippines is a predominantly secular Christian Nation.

I am not sympathetic for the Bangsamoro, I am just interested in their doctrine and in what their aims are, as the same with the MNLF and other Islamofascist Organizations in the Philippines. I did a research on the MNLF during my undergraduate days for a political science class, and lightly touched into the Bangsamoro campaign, which was rather resemblant with the IJ Movement in insular Indonesia/Malaysia.

I am supportive for a hardline stance of the Philippine Armed Forces in crushing these Islamofascist groups. There is no room for terrorists nor do I believe the government should even negotiate with these terrorists.

48. Where the squatters have more to complain (even if they do not pay their tax) - than those employed and have their tax automatically deducted from their salaries.
49. And where everyone wants to leave the country!

FILIPINO SIGNS OF WIT:

1. The sign in a flower shop in Diliman called Petal Attraction.
2. Anita Bakery.
3. A 24-hour restaurant called Doris Day & Night
4. Barber shop called Felix the Cut;
5. A bakery named Bread Pitt
6. Fast-food place selling 'maruya' (banana fritters) called Maruya Carey.
7. Then, there was Christopher Plumbing.
8. A boutique called The Way We Wear.
10. A restaurant in Cainta district of Rizal called Caintacky Fried Chicken.
11. A local burger restaurant called Mang Donald's.
12. A doughnut shop called MacDonuts.
13. A shop selling 'lumpia' (egg roll) in Makati called Wrap and Roll.
14. And two butcher shops called Meating Place and Meatropolis.

Smart travelers can decipher what may look like baffling signs to unaccustomed foreigners by simply sounding out the 'Taglish' (The Philippine version of English words spelled and pronounced with a heavy Filipino accent) such as:

15. At a restaurant menu in Cebu:"We hab sopdrink in can an in batol" [translation: We have soft drinks in can and in bottle].
16. Then, there is a sewing accessories shop called "Bids And Pises" - [translation: Beads and Pieces--or-- Bits and Pieces]

There are also many signs with either badly chosen or misspelled words but they are usually so entertaining that it would be a mistake to 'correct' them like....

17. In a restaurant in Baguio City, the 'summer capital' of the Philippines: "Wanted: Boy Waitress"
18. On a highway in Pampanga: "We Make Modern Antique Furniture"
19. On the window of a photography shop in Cabanatuan: "We Shoot You While You Wait!"
20. And on the glass front of a cafe in Panay Avenue in Manila: "Wanted: Waiter, Cashier, Washier".

Some of the notices can even give a wrong impression such as:

21. A shoe store in Pangasinan which has a sign saying: "We Sell Imported Robber Shoes" (these could be the 'sneakiest' sneakers);

22. A rental property sign in Jaro reads: "House For Rent, Fully Furnaced" (it must really be hot inside)!

23. Occasionally, one could come across signs that are truly unique - if not altogether odd. A city in southern Philippines which said: "Adults: 1 peso; Child: 50 centavos; Cadavers: fare subject to negotiation" .

24. European tourists may also be intrigued to discover two competing shops selling hopia (a Chinese pastry) called Holland Hopia and Poland Hopia - which are owned and operated by two local Chinese entrepreneurs, Mr. Ho and Mr. Po respectively - (believe it or not)!

25. Some folks also 'creatively' redesign English to be more efficient. The creative confusion between language and culture leads to more than just simple unintentional errors in syntax, but in the adoption of new words, says reader Robert Goodfellow who came across a sign... "House Fersallarend" (house for sale or rent). Why use five words when two will do?

26. According to Manila businessman, Tonyboy Ongsiako, there is so much wit in the Philippines because we are a country where a good sense of humor is needed to survive. We have a 24-hour comedy show here called the government and a huge reserve of comedians made up mostly of politicians and bad actors.

Now I ask you...where else in the world would one want to live?

Philippines. Definitely a place I would love to visit over and over again. Pohon.

April 14, 2010 - TRUE HAPPINESS

Love never ends. (I Corinthians 13 : 8 )

In a PEANUTS cartoon, Lucy is berating Charlie Brown for losing the baseball game for their team. She says, "You blockhead! You struck out, and we lost the last game of the season!" Then she adds accusingly, "You were standing there thinking about your new girlfriend, weren't you?"

As Charlie Brown walks away, he mumbles, "I thought being in love was supposed to make you happy."

Well, love is an important part of happiness. Studies have proven that people in love are much happier. The same is true for people who get involved. They are much happier than people who complain, but never do anything to change the situation. What is your situation?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Jesus, may I find true happiness in you. Amen.

I love this one. Thanks, buddy.

Leaves, where have you come from?
I thought last you fell away in winter's edge
There you lay--on the ground. Disheveled.
Alas, you rose again.

Back to life, oh little leave.
You sprout in midday, you shout in glory!
Life, you proclaim, in its majesty.

Where is your sting, oh death?
Life and Glory has conquerd.

The Glory of Christ. Manifested in Nature.

While facial hair is a natural phenomenon for men, it's a part of the body that can be considered an art form in itself. Who would have thought that hair could actually become a way to decorate a man's face? Consider it a free accessory, that can complete your appearance and transform your look from night to day.

There's a fine line between what is considered in and out of style in terms of facial hair. Any style is acceptable as long as it suits a man's face and his personality

1. Au Naturel
-Having a clean-shaven face never goes out of style. This is the cleanest looking style of facial hair you can have -- no facial hair. While it may be annoying to always maintain your clean shave, this style makes for a preppy, classy, fresh look.

Not only does it take a few years off of a man's perceived age (which may not be the preferred style for those who look young to begin with), but his girlfriend will love the fact that she can cuddle up with him and kiss him without feeling like she's cuddling up to a porcupine

2. Boldly Bearded
-Here's the facial hairstyle at the extreme opposite of the clean shave: the full beard. Many men can pull this one off, but don't misunderstand me; I'm not suggesting that you keep a beard that would make you the envy of Biblical characters.

Keep your beard trimmed and neat by using clippers or an electric razor. Just because you don't have the daily task of maintaining a cleanly shaven face, it does not mean you can neglect caring and tending for your beard. You can have fun with a beard by donning a thin beard with a goatee and a thin moustache, by shaving off the top part of the beard and leaving only the bottom part.

How to choose the right beard:

Thin face- You need to grow the beard thick enough to fill the face in. If you have a skinny face the beard needs to fill in the cheeks. If not the beard is going to look awkward, and give you an uneven appearance.

Full face/chubby face- A great beard to wear would be the full, goatee, or long Brad Pitt beard. These styles will help slim the face, hide a double chin, and give your face a longer appearance.

How to do beard styles:

Soul Patch beard- Here you have a small area of hair that is grown beneath the mans lower lip. I consider this an alternative to the goatee. This beard is very easy to achieve and maintain. To prepare for this beard you will need to grow your beard at least 2 weeks worth. The more hair you have the better shape the beard will be in. Shave the beard down until a small area of hair is remaining beneath the lower lip. This style of beard can be worn narrow, extended, or with or without a mustache.

It is great to sport, bro. It is not very common to see Asian men, or Filipinos who can grow facial hair, or beards. You being able to grow it is a fact that you have some kind of European/Spanish bloodline. It is a mestizo facial trait.

It is not popular in the East (Asia), but here in the west, women have a thing for bearded men. It adds "umfft" to the maturity look.

Handsome.

I like this one by Jake Gyllenhaal. Notice how he grew his beard; thin on the sides, but on the lower and upper lip regions, was allowed to grow thick. Note the reddish brown streaks on the beard. Excellent growth.

From the looks of this one, this is about a month and a half old beard.

As of late, the new fashion trend as I notice amongst men in my generation is the growing of beards. If one cannot grow a beard, sporting a goatie, or a mustache is applicable. However, I have noticed that the new fashion trend for those in the 20s and even early 30s is the Beard Trend.

The last time I sported a beard, it was not fashioned to my liking as I had hoped. With experience from my last experience, I hope to fashion and hold a beard that is more resemblant to that of Gerard Butler's. Very fashionable, i must say.

So let the beard-growing commence.

De Profundis

Out of the depths I have cried to Thee, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice.
Let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
If Thou, O Lord, shalt observe iniquities; Lord, who shall endure it?
For with Thee there is merciful forgiveness:
and by reason of Thy law, I have waited for Thee, O Lord.
My soul hath relied on His word; my soul hath hoped in the Lord.
From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.
Because with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him plentiful redemption.
And He shall redeem Israel from all her iniquities.
Eternal rest give unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
Let us pray.
O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful,
grant to the souls of Thy servants departed the remission of all their sins, that through our pious supplication they may obtain that pardon which they have always desired; who lives and reigns for ever and ever.  Amen.

It's quite cool here in New Jersey again.

I went out for a nice morning jog. The cold winds sent a chill up my thighs and calves. Nice feeling.
