A litmus test for any religious group is the credibility of its founder in making his claims. Felix Manalo’s credibility and, consequently, his claims, are impossible to take seriously. He appears to have adopted the messenger doctrine in response to a schism in the Iglesia movement. The schism was led by Teogilo Ora, one of its early ministers. Manalo appears to have developed the messenger doctrine to accumulate power and re-assert his leadership in the church.

This poses a problem for Iglesia, because if Manalo had been the new messenger called by God in 1914, why didn’t he tell anybody prior to 1922? Because he didn’t think of it until 1922. His situation in this respect parallels that of Mormonism’s founder Joseph Smith, who claimed that when he was a boy, God appeared to him in a vision and told him all existing churches were corrupt and he was not to join them, that he would lead a movement to restore God’s true Church. But historical records show that Smith did join an inquirer’s class at an established Protestant church after his supposed vision from God. It was only in later years that Smith came up with his version of the "true messenger" doctrine, proving as much of an embarrassment for the Mormon church as Manalo’s similar doctrine does for Iglesia

A man was building a barn in the US state of Maryland when he looked down to find a rock bearing a striking resemblance to a penis.

Martin Kenny, who rehabilitates and hooves horses for a living in Elk Neck State Park, was surprised by his find and noticed the phallic rock also had a hole going through the um, shaft.

He has contacted the Smithsonian Museum about the find but has so far had no response.

2 bullets. one from yours truly. one from IAN ECONG, my dayonyor. nag thrilling na ni ug maazo ang atong estorya. the consensus from tbnation is that i can go ahead with the operation. because none of you stood up for him. asa naman tong mga peacemakers nga nag hangyo naho sauna nga pasayloon lang  kay looy man. nang hunaw mo sa injong mga kamot mora ug si ponsyo pilato. i dont care if nobody believes me. in fact just 2 people can carry out the operation. bokats and me. but i like giving away my money so why not give some to my buddies. this operation may take 1 or 2 years so my few fans will have to wait. panagsa na lang ko mo gawas dinhi sa forum. because i am not telling hubie anymore what im going to do. i may not stick to my timeline. only fools do not change their minds and i am not a fool. first part of the operation begins in a few months. i will spend the summer in brooklyn new york where the dojo of my master is located. i have to get myself ready kay ga bosyad na ang ahong tiyan. ang ahong mga exercise equipments gi pang tay-an na. i have gone crazy. gi haw-as gikan sa balay ug gi butang naho sa backyard gi pa ulanan gi pa initan. i could not exercise anymore kay sigi lang ko ug plano sa operation. sayang pod ning ahong exercise equipment. aho na lang gi pasagdan. i dont care. maka palit man ko bisan unsang orasa.

Adults: 17 times. Research shows that keeping laughter alive keeps you alive. Make it priority to look for humor in life.

4.      Exercise daily. Your body craves movement. The worst thing you can do for your health is sit around and do nothing. Even if you’re 80, it’s never too late to start exercising, research shows. In fact, exercise benefits “late bloomers,” even more than people who have been active their entire lives. That’s why someone who is 80 and starts a conditioning program can suddenly put on some muscle. The mistake people make is in treating exercise like it’s torture. The key is finding an activity you enjoy and making it part of your routine. 

5.      Find a companion. Studies show that people live longer if they are married, part of a couple, have close friends, or have pets. Make it a goal to meet people. Volunteer at church or community groups. Don’t be afraid to be alone, but beware of social isolation.


6.      Use your brain. Years ago, doctors believed that, unlike other organs, the brain could not regenerate. Now we know this is not true. Important connections between brain cells can be re-established. When your brain is stimulated, more connections are made, no matter your age. Stimulate your brain by learning new things. Take up a new hobby, learn a new language, or just break out of your routine. Take a different route home, explore a different neighborhood, and try eating with your left hand instead of your right.

7.      Live in the moment. No matter how perfectly you live your life, you are not going to live forever. So pay attention to what is happening in the moment, and don’t waste valuable time mourning the past or worrying about the future. No matter what you’re doing, whether it’s spending time with your friends, being with your co-workers, or even just getting ready to go to sleep, relish every moment. Treat everyday as a gift â€" that’s why it’s called the “present!”
