To whom it may concern,

Its been 9 weeks since we last talked. I suppose our evasion of each other is a culmination of our differences and need to move on. As if the universe is motivating us both to go on our separate ways. At first, sakit akong kasingkasing kai ka ingon ko di ko ma buhi ug di ta together. Nonesense thinking. I have survived and quite well without you. There is less stress in my life, unecessary thoughts of caring for another person more than myself.

In time, the thoughts of you will fade. I will maintain my course of direction. Focusing on me.

I cannot and will not hate you or hold disdain to you because I do honestly care for you. I wish you all the best in life, Girl, and I wish all your dreams, aspirations come true. Most of all, I wish that you find a man who will be able to love you, care for you, and someone who will be better than me. You deserve someone who is the best for you.

Please think kindly of me and do not hold any animosity and hatred of me, Girl. I hope you understand.

Sincerely Yours,
Some Guy

Ingon ahoang Professor nako, "Lorenzo, your final draft was very well written. Good job on grammatical editions."

I told him that I have a friend who is a "professional editor".

Tita, this October, my next class "Doctoral Leadership" will mark my 2nd academic year in my Ph.D program. Your editions and proof reading has been truly invaluable to me. Thank You.

Let me remind everyone what Jesus Christ told us in regards to sinful anger and our duty to forgive:

The Word of the Lord:

And the Lord Jesus Christ said unto them: “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift…”

Matthew 5:21-24

September 16, 2013, 12:25:28 AM
Nong,

Permit me to add this: We cannot be angry and hostile with a brother or sister and at the same time be at PEACE with the Lord.

Our relationships with other people will suffer. For example, a marriage will not thrive if one or both spouses become angry and refuse to address the problem. One will develop a critical spirit. Bitter people often become judgmental in an effort to justify their anger. One will lack peace. Hostility makes you restless and robs you of joy. Anger leads to emotional isolation. When people get hurt, they often try to protect themselves from further hurt by pushing others away. Anger results in frustration and anxiety.

Our unrighteous anger towards our brothers and sisters affects the Lord. First, it grieves His heart. Hostility does not fit who we are as children of God. Second, it hinders His work.

Those who harbor resentment are often not willing to obey His voice. Third, the Father will not pour out His blessings on an angry person.

Anger and deep-seeted bitterness is used by the devil to make us deaf and numb to the voice of God. And God always reminds us to forgive, to forgive. As much as He forgives us.

This is why we should always pray for comfort and the Grace to forgive and accept God to help us open our hearts.

I've forgotten everything about you
'til someone says your name
I've forgotten all the reasons I loved you
'til someone tells me that you rang

The memories are hazy now
I don't recall at all
there's nothing, there's nothing there
just me
and I don't understand why

I can't recollect my feelings
'til someone mentions that they saw you
I really don't remember all the things you said
'til someone shows me where you live

Why is everything so hazy now
I don't recall at all
there's nothing, there's nothing there
just me
and I don't understand why

I can't recall your smile
the touch of your hand holding mine
and I can't remember why
holding you seemed so right

The memories they're hazy now
I don't recall at all
there's nothing, there's nothing there
just me
and I don't understand why

I've forgotten everything about you
'til someone says your name
I've forgotten all the reasons I loved you
'til someone tells me that you rang

I've been trying
Lord knows that I've been trying
To understand why
Can I be your only man?

Now you said you love me
So sincerely
That I believed that you love me
An' yet I can't understand why
Can I be your only man?

Day after day
You treat me any old way
I wanna go but my heart says, "No"
Acting so strange
But my love still remains
So keep on trying boy
She's gonna change

Day after day
You treat me any old way
I wanna go but my heart says, "No"
Acting so strange
Yet my love still remains
It says keep on trying boy
She's gonna change

Now, I've been trying
Lord knows how I've been trying
But I can't understand why
Can I be your only man?

I just keep on trying
Just keep on trying
You gotta keep on trying
Gotta keep on trying

Keep on trying
Keep on trying
Just keep on trying

'No matter how much you think you want or need it, the past has to remain just that, the past...'

Could've given you everything that you need
but I cannot turn back the years
The perfect love was all you wanted from me
but I cannot turn back the years

So we have to be strong, and I'm finding that hard
we have to move on, but no matter how hard I try
if your heart's in pieces, you look for the truth
and when I look deep down inside I know, it's too bad I love you

Sometimes. hits me in the morning, hits me at night
that I cannot turn back the years
so I look out my window, turn off my light
but I cannot turn back the years

Can't make it seem easy, when you're all that I see
can't live in a dream and I won't serenade the truth
people are hurting and they're looking to me
and I look at you there's nothing more to say, it's too bad I love you

But I'm never gonna give it up

All that I lived for, all that I dreamed
but I cannot turn back the years
You're the water i drink, you're the air that I breathe
but i cannot turn back the years

So we have to be strong, and I'm finding that hard
we have to move on, but no matter how hard I try
if your heart's in pieces, you look for the truth
and when I look deep down inside I know, it's too bad I love you

But I'm never gonna give it up

All that you do for love is love. Fatigue and even death itself accepted for motives of love is nothing else but love! Today is the feast of the Holy Cross. How beautiful and worthy of our love! It was hard work setting up the wood and erecting it on Calvary, but how happy are those who love the cross and carry it generously. It will appear in all its glory in the heavens when Christ Our Lord will come to judge the living and the dead. Heaven is the altar for all who are crucified; therefore, let us love the crosses that we meet as we go through life.

Bible Study / Re: Te Deum
September 15, 2013, 12:44:53 PM
Te Deum,
also sometimes called the
Ambrosian Hymn because of its
association with  St. Ambrose,
is a traditional hymn of  joy and
thanksgiving. First attributed to Sts.
Ambrose, Augustine, or Hilary,
it is now accredited to Nicetas,
Bishop of Remesiana; (4th century).
It is used at the conclusion of the
Office of the Readings for the Liturgy of
the Hours on Sundays outside Lent,
daily during the Octaves of
Christmas and Easter, and on
Solemnities and Feast Days.
The petitions at the end were
added at a later time
and are optional.
A partial indulgence
is granted to the faithful who
recite it in thanksgiving and a
plenary indulgence
is granted if the hymn is recited
publicly on the
last day of the year

September 15, 2013, 12:43:53 PM
O God, we praise Thee, and acknowledge Thee to be the supreme Lord.
Everlasting Father, all the earth worships Thee.
All the Angels, the heavens and all angelic powers,
All the Cherubim and Seraphim, continuously cry to Thee:
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of Hosts!
Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty of Thy glory.
The glorious choir of the Apostles,
The wonderful company of Prophets,
The white-robed army of Martyrs, praise Thee.
Holy Church throughout the world acknowledges Thee:
The Father of infinite Majesty;
Thy adorable, true and only Son;
Also the Holy Spirit, the Comforter.
O Christ, Thou art the King of glory!
Thou art the everlasting Son of the Father.
When Thou tookest it upon Thyself to deliver man,
Thou didst not disdain the Virgin's womb.
Having overcome the sting of death, Thou opened the Kingdom of Heaven to all
believers.
Thou sitest at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father.
We believe that Thou willst come to be our Judge.
We, therefore, beg Thee to help Thy servants whom Thou hast redeemed with Thy
Precious Blood.
Let them be numbered with Thy Saints in everlasting glory.

V.  Save Thy people, O Lord, and bless Thy inheritance!
R.  Govern them, and raise them up forever.

V.  Every day we thank Thee.
R.  And we praise Thy Name forever, yes, forever and ever.

V.  O Lord, deign to keep us from sin this day.
R.  Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us.

V.  Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, for we have hoped in Thee.
R.  O Lord, in Thee I have put my trust; let me never be put to shame.

sakit kaayo, tita. only because i have been with her for 4 years, i wanted to be with her. this was, honestly, the longest relationship i have been in and the most vested. i gave all of myself to this woman, to the point of na exhausted na ko because no matter what she wanted, i would give. but still, mo awayaway gehapon.

i did not have the strength to let go of the relationship until couple of months ago when i visited the basilica of mary, help of christians in holy hill, wisconsin. the load of burden was removed, but , the feeling of longing is still there. natural ra man pod segoro ni nga mo mingaw ta sa atong old love.

i am shying away from relationships right now, mag focus sa ko sa ahoang profession. that and i want to build a more prayerful life. sometimes, i realize that sexual urges and sexuality tends to drive men and their thoughts. as a sinner, i will not deny that these thoughts also enter my mind and am tempted very much to give in to these urges. lisod baya. honestly tho, i want to refrain from physical relationship until the proper time. as hard as it is right now in terms of the heart (ma mingaw man god ko, and yes, unfortunately, i am the very sentimental guy type), ampo lang ko tagaan ko'g strength from our lady of perpetual help as i focus on my profession.

i am, now, openly discerning a life of holy order. i'll leave it all to god.

Relationships are truly unique. You build it with the other person, surround it with love, sometimes some fights arise. There is an overall sense of longing to maintain it, to build it, strengthen it. But when it does end, it takes a toll on one's heart.

I dislike how i am affected by thoughts of her , even after the allotted time has passed by.

I wonder if she even thinks of me as I do of her. :'(   :o

hmmm, the use of threat is contrary to the teachings of Christ our Lord. be these threat real or imaginary. i'm glad that you share your blessings balong. so long as you do not use one's blessings to intimidate and hurt another. even if that other holds views contrary to one's own. i entreat you to read about zacchaeus, the tax collector. zacchaeus was a man who was wealthy, prosperous, and at the same time hated by his jewish brethren for his station in life, a tax collector. knowing this, zacchaeus was embarrassed to be around other jews for fear of being put down, rather, zacchaeus climbed a tree to listen the saving words of Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus, in seeing zacchaeus, ordered him to climb down. Christ stayed with zacchaeus, to the dismay of the jews, the Sanhedrin and the Pharisees. It was looked down for the Jesus to stay with an unrighteous man like zacchaeus. Yet, the Lord Jesus stayed with zaccheus, anyway.

In interacting with the Lord Jesus, Zacchaeus was touched. He volunteered and offered to pay back those whom he may have wronged while dispensing is authority as a tax collector. Such gracious and genuine act of repentance and repentance! Notice, balong, that zacchaeus did not use his wealth, blessings, to put down those jews who held contrary views of him. Rather, Zacchaeus blessed them nonetheless when he told Lord Jesus that he would repay any wrong...the Lord Jesus, who is the Immortal Lord of The Universe made Incarnate, searched the heart of Zacchaeus.

Christ said to Zacchaeus, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the son of man came to seek and find which was lost." (Luke 19: 9).

Be like Zacchaeus, Balong. Use your blessings to help those who may be helped, do not boast about it but be humble and meek in your acts of righteousness. My friend, by doing so, you are building for yourself treasures in Heaven.

GO BLESS YOU !

Now, let us focus on more productive projects, okay.

Remember...be like Zacchaeus.... 8)

there are beautiful potentials in countering with an individual whose views are contrary to your own. one doesn't necessarily need to give in to said individual, but take into consideration the (or some) points aformentioned by said individual. usually, there are some honest points that should be addressed. one's preponderance to overly sensitizng said comments leads to self hurt, rather, one should enact a mature defense mechanism by acceptance and formation of an attitude that considers points.

in the existential nature of human quandary, it is withereto beneficial to excogitate to the idea that the only constant in this life is change. change doesn't necessarily equate to negativity, but rather, illustrates a way to one's salvation and one's beneficence. it is through change that a thief can repent from a life of crime , a life towards repentance and grace. we see this example in the cross when christ's grace and forgiving nature was permeated unto the repentant sinner, who, on his death on the cross, changed his outlook by accepting christ's salvation. in turn, that said sinner entered paradise with the Lord Jesus. the other thief, who remained unrepentant unto death, unchanging, did not enter paradise, but entered death while mocking the lord and the repentant sinner.

in regards to your personal situation, balong, i encourage you to see the beautiful potentials of your interaction with hubag. one can continue in repaying insult for insult, or one can start ignoring said comments and creating a new response. remember, that you have the power to shape how you respond to forces that come to you in your life -- be it in a positive dynamic or a negative dynamic. in the end, you have to consider the good of your own position.

i entreat you with a saying by St. Francis de Sales:

Meekness and mildness of heart is a virtue rarer than chastity.

- St. Francis de Sales

Your Brother in Christ Our Lord,
Lorenzo

September 12

Let us often have recourse to the holy cross, embracing it in our hearts. Let us rest in the shade of this holy tree! It is impossible that anything can hurt us if we keep to our resolution to belong totally to God. Do not get all upset, therefore, when difficulties come your way. Laugh in your enemy's face; you are in the arms of the Almighty. Therefore, let God be your strength and your love.

Green Man

"Green Man," a medieval pagan god, is another part of the weaving "Spirits of the Wood" installation by MIM. "Green Man" is usually surrounded by oak leaves, considered an ancient sacred tree in Great Britain, and fully embodies the spirit of trees.

"'Spirits of the Wood' draws on the singular and magical cachet of the willow plot to great effect," MIM describes. "The deities weave among the willows, the better to integrate themselves into this peaceful, majestic setting."

Effective immediately, air passengers no longer need to present printed copies of their tickets at the country's airports, with the Department of Justice announcing that electronic tickets will now suffice for entry and transit.

The DOJ, under which the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) operates, on Wednesday issued Operations Order No. 2013-003, titled "Removing the Requirement of Presentation of the Printed Hard Copy of Return and/or Onward Passage Ticket". Electronic tickets, or e-tickets, as displayed on smart phones, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices, will now be accepted for entry and processing at airports.

"This is another simple step to improve access to basic government services," the DOJ said. "We shall continue to work with all stakeholders to inject common sense and process logic into our systems."
