apology for my wrong spelling mam,and also for my wrong sentence,so are you perfect enough for all of these just because you're a teacher,i am not a first year college as you stated,im a licensed mechanical engineer and currently working and living in england but unfortunately,im working at the reception in ramada hotels,i had no problem communicating with the english people so far for my 11 years here in england.and the topic is clear job mismatch, how could this happened?give me a valid reason.
#346
so you mean first year college are not mentally prepared for university or college, this is a joke,we filipinos have a good foundation in education, job mismatch is the only reason the govt can use to ease the global problem for job losses, site an example what the govt can help to those OFW who lost their jobs, offered training at TESDA for more qualification,is this the right thing to offer?how about offering and finding jobs somewhere else or offer money assistance for their family instead..what about their plans to make the nursing course to 5 years course?unbeleivable idea..

Why there are such OFW nowadays, well the govt are very much happy of the remittance send by the OFW ,what a shamed instead of thinking of natural resources or filipino products to be exported abroad to boast our country,it is the filipino labor who are exported, why?because of the good economy in our country as what theyve said..why there are lot of talented filipinos working abroad?is it a brain drain and affects our economy? no its not the govt needs the increase of remmitance..why we are importing rice from USA and thailand where in fact UP Los banos are teaching the proper way of modern farming, they converted into golf cources and subdivision.why does the govt  doesnt restrict the convertion of farmland to avoid the problem..probably because the economy is blooming..how about the spratley island do you think it is still belong to the philippines?might be sold already to the chinese without our knowledge..

RE:DIONY CASTRO LAMENTED OVER CORRUPTION ISSUES....
HELLO TO DUERO AND FOREMOST MY FAMILY!
IST, I WOULD LIKE TO BLOW THANKS TO THE ADMIN FOR HAVING THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT TO ALL/DUEROHANONS AND MY FAMILY AS WELL!
WELL, IT'S VERY TEMPTING TO PARTICIPATE THIS DISCUSSION AND PERHAPS EXPRESS MY POINT OF VIEW DESPITE OF MY DISTANCE THAT I'M HERE IN SAN BERNARDINO,CALIFORNIA-
NO DOUBT THAT I STILL LOVED DUERO!, THE PEOPLE !, AND EVERYTHING ABOUT DUERO! REALITY IS- IT TOOK ME TIME TO CHANGE MY CITIZENSHIP! FOR ONE DAY, I BELIEVE THAT I CAN BE OF SERVICE TO THIS TOWN! FOR ME, CHANGING MY CITIZEN TO AMERICAN CAN JUST IMPEDE MY PASSION OF RUNNING FOR PUBLIC SERVANT IN THIS TOWN (ONE DAY)---I COULD HAVE CHANGED MY CITIZENSHIP LONG TIME AGO, BUT I HAVE MY BELIEF THAT I WOULD CERTAINLY END UP IN THE SERVICE OF DUERO MUNICIPALITY_
WHEN I FIRST CAME HERE IN CALIFORNIA LAST OCTOBER OF 1997 ,TO CHALLENGE MY BACHELOR OF NURSING DEGREE IN A WORLD WHERE WE THOUGHT: IT'S AMERICAN DREAM!
YEAH, TEN YEARS! I GUESS.  I HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT!
I CAN'T HELP TO LOOK BACK AND SEE WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY TOWN,DUERO, WHOM I SAW MY FATHER HAD POLISHED!DEVELOPED! AND GOT EXPERIENCED FOR 16 YEARS! AND TO BE AN IDEAL PUBLIC SERVANT!
FOR ME, MY FATHER: FORMER VICE MAYOR PEDRO BAYRON AGUIMAN, 16-YEAR IN PUBLIC SERVICE IS MY IDEAL AND MODEL! HE WAS JUST TOO CLOSE TO PERFECTION AS A PUBLIC SERVANT! I DIDN'T SEE CORRUPTION,OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE GROWN UP TO BE SPOILED BRATS! IN FACT, I TREASURED MY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES WITH MY BUDDIES LIKE INDAY URSOS WHERE WE USED TO GO TO MAHAYAG AND SELL A BASKET FILLED UP WITH FRESH FISH AND SELL TINAP-AN TO ST. JUDE BUS RIDERS! FOR ME- I CHEERISHED THOSE MOMENTS AND I ALWAYS DREAMT THAT ONE DAY I WILL IMPART MY TREASURE! KNOWLEDGE! SKILLS! AND MEMORIES TO ALL DUEROHANONS! IF GIVEN A CHANCE, I WOULD LIKE TO BE MORE THAN WHAT MY FATHER DID AND CONTINUE HIS LEGACY! I KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE VERY SKEPTICAL AND JUST CYNIC! BUT I DON'T FOCUS IN THAT---MY FOCUS IS TO HOW WOULD I MAKE DIFFERENCE TO BE OF SERVICE IN AMERICA AS A REGISTERED NURSE FOR 10 YEARS AND HAVING A PASSION TO BE A PUBLIC SERVANT IN MY TOWN!  I AM NOW 36 YEARS OLD! SO IT'S PERFECT AGE TO BE ACTIVE AND SHARE WHAT I CAN DO! I REMEMBER,BACK IN MY SAN ANTHONIANS PRESIDENCY:1994! I BELIEVED THAT, IT WAS A PHENOMINAL AND MY GREAT ACHIEVEMENT THEN! I BELIEVE THAT I CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT !NOW, THAT I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE THERE!
I CAN'T PUT ALL THE ADVERBS AND ADJECTIVES TO DESCRIBE MY PASSION TO BE ONE DAY REALIZE MY DREAM TO BE PART OF DUERO'S CONTITUENTS AND JUST DO WHAT I CAN---
SOMETIMES, IT'S NOT EASY TO BE A PUBLIC OFFICIAL WHERE THERE IS EASY ACCESS TO INSTANT FAME! MONEY! AND STATUS QUO! THESE ARE OFTEN TIMES MISUSE AND MISUNDERSTOOD!THAT'S WHY FOR EVERY ONE OUT THERE JUST PAY ATTENTION! SEE THE CAUSE AND EFFECT AND BE RESPOSIBLE ENOUGH TO KNOW WHAT KIND AND TYPE OF GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC OFFICIALS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IN YOUR MUNICIPALITY! YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE IS THE KEY TO HAVE A VERY SUCCESSFUL AND PRODUCTIVE GOVERNMENT!
THAT'S ALL I CAN COMMENT! AND I HOPE TO SEE DUERO SOON---- WATCH OUT FOR MY OUTREACH PROGRAMS! IT'S GONNA BE FUN! AS ALWAYS, EMMA

FOR MY FORMER CLASSMATES IN DUERO- (ANIBONGAN):ROSALINDA,MARCELLA,ROMULO AND ALL, I WILL SEE YOU SOON AND HOPE YOU HAVE TIME FOR ME THEN. GOD BLESS!-------- UP TO THESE YEARS MY FORMER CLASSMATES IN DCES,HOLY SPIRIT SCHOOL AND DIVINE COLLEGE YOU HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART! I MIZ YOU GUYS! MABUHAY DUERO!
probably still remember me..by the way im enad espinosa..i know you youre still young when i left our hometown, billy knows me wil..and boy..i left duero 1984 and went abroad 1988 exactly 20 years ago.im settled here in england.

I just remember the good old adage, "Happiness is not having more, but wanting less."

One can never be objective about his level of economic comfort. I've known people who have hefty savings in the bank but live as though they are on their last cent. And I also know people who are on their last cent, but live as though they have bottomless pockets. I think neither one is really happy.

well said...really its a hard time for everyone..but keep the family together pray to god always..dont waste any food or money,,just purchase what you need and important.find extra income to help financially.. thru the hard times makes the family more stronger..

Very false. Do you know that the Filipino-American is the highest grossing Asian ethnicity in the United States? Averaging at about $65,000 a year? And you know that Asian-Americans make the most of any ethnicity in the United States?

The average White American makes around $45,000 a year. Average Asian-American makes around $55k+. The Filipino averages at $65,000.

Many Filipinos here in the United States, if not all, are in the upper middle class or in the elite class. Majority are Nurses, Engineers, Physicians, Dentists, etc. Who make easily over $100,000 a year. If not more than that.

And do you know what is key for our success? It is our saving's ability. Filipino-Americans are incentive based. We purchase large homes not for housing reasons, but for security reasons. Homes are a good financial safe. It retains its property cost. We invest alot into our savings, on wallstreet investment as well as on franchises.

Do you know that Filipino-Americans are one of the largest Asian-American groups that are involved in the franchise industry? As in owning 2 to 3 McDonalds, Burger Kings, KFC, Dunkin Donuts, etc. This is obviously present in the West Coast as well as in the East Coast.

Do you know that the majority of physicians who are of Asian-decent are Filipinos? Filipino and Indian doctors DOMINATE the American medical field. Why is this? How is it that such a small minority group that makes up only .08% of the American population can become a major player to the entire American Medical System? Because of business incentives. And savings!

Filipino Doctors, Dentists, Physical Therapists do not settle. They end up owning entire hospitals, clinics, units, and are either the Heads of medical units. Notice that most Filipino Doctors own their own clinics AS well as do hospital rotations on the side. Business skills, my friend.

The reason why Filipinos are so successful in the United States is because of that reason. Savings. Hard work. That is why Filipinos are THE most successful ethnic groups in the United States.

When Americans think Filipino, they Think immediately of a 'Rich' Doctor, Nurse, Engineer, Physical Therapist or Teacher.

They Think immediately of Professional. Educated. Elite.

How did they get there? Savings.

:)
Im not talking for those people working abroad, what im talking are those people living in our country i dont think these rules will apply to them..their budget is not enough for the whole family when it comes to their daily necesities especially prices are rocketing day by day due to high fuel price, and what if you child who are in school budgeting for the parents is big headache..ive been also working in abroad for the past 20 years,im settled here in england,i dont have savings but property investment yes, retirement yes we have and life insurance...cheers

@ lorenzo admin, controlling the cashflow is verry effective way to save but what about those who are earning on minimum wage and just rely only on their salary for living..i dont think they can be a rich guy even for along period of time.and speaking of bussines only few real pinoy into a big bussines mostly foreigners who are enjoying the fraud with the connections of some govt officials,im talking about paying the tax theyve earned from their biz. and the benifits and salary of their employees.

some rich people inherited their wealth from there family, what im amazed are those young talented individuals who got their wealth through their hard work and talent, like the founder of facebook..on the other hand for those poor people but with ambition and luck they manage to become wealthy or those really lucky millioners who won the lottery..but i feel sorry for those individual who were rich before and becoming poor, those poor people who are still on poverty line badluck and lack of courage probably the caused but what matters me most are those getting rich by means corruption...
#389
I know him personally, when he was still in duero probably he couldnt remember me but my elder brother im sure he will, diony is from guinsularan but hes always in town playing tennis, mentioning corruption as an issue for your candidacy is not a good idea, every body knows how rampant the corruption everywhere in the country.he must share his views and idea how to improve the town if hes elected as a mayor will do,and a good campaign manager, must be loyal to the candidate..

Rice shortage is a shame to the government, and politician never tell the truth to the public, you will never see them queeing for NFA rice,it is the ordinary people who will suffer the consequences of the shortage and the high price, importation is not the long term solution of the crisis, govt should consider the growing population and the climate change thats the reason behind these crisis.instead they are thinking of how can they make profit out of this shortage..

nice one grazie7y well done,on the record shows Marcos and Erap were among the top ten most corrupt leader,i would say Ramos is the most corrupt president but was so clever to hide all the evidence that he is not among the most corrupt one.it is our fellow countrymen and the next generation who will suffer most, since our country lead by GMA is no longer safe for any journalist, unressolve killings at its highest point.but we dont lost hope someday and somehow there will be a good politician who will lead our country and save its economy and reputation,i love my country no matter what..
