Ang sakto nga bisaya word is "kuno" and not "daw".

You're welcome.  Taga Guindulman ka sir Macky?

Akong misis taga Kabugan, Guindulman.

#307
Benny San,

I tried to search for this law and found only this reference : http://www.chanrobles.com/republicacts/republicactno4846.html

I have not fully read this law if there is prohibition on export of historical relics.
#308
This is something good about Ambeth Ocampo.

I believe there is a law prohibiting the export of Historical Artifacts, like there is a limit to carry gold or jewelry during international flights. This should be strictly observed by the Customs. NHI should coordinate with the Customs department.

Maybe it depends on the race or genetic make up of the population. During the time of conquestadores, most of the tribes in central America were wiped out by a simple small pox virus, bought by the Europeans. Maybe central American race have weak immunity to viruses.

While in the Philippines, many children are swimming in polluted Pasig River with all its bacteria and viruses, but does not get sick.

In 1993, there was a Flu scare in the US. The report does not indicate a deadly virus but normal. Still the Americans went panic because the FDA informed that the are in short supply of the vaccine. It says that the vaccine is imported from China and the main ingredient comes from Chinese Anise Seeds which will take one year to grow.

Surprisingly, I got a free vaccination on same year from Saudi Government and there was no rumor of any short supply.

So, I think everything is just a propaganda to make money from a product.

Maybe the Swine Flu is just a tactic from the US. One way of stopping illegal immigrants from Mexico.

About the arrest, the church has no role as its role is only to reform sinners.

Actually, the church should play an important role also as to providing basic guidance, counceling the parents how to raise moral and law abiding children. The church must play the basic role from baptismal.

Mansasa follows the expression of "just under their noses" as this is the closest barangay to St. Joseph Cathedral, yet unreformed by the church.

History / Re: Colonial British Empire: The March
May 16, 2009, 08:17:32 PM
This is the scene during US civil war. Soldiers will march into battle without armor protection, facing bullets and cannon fire. Each soldier is equipped with single round riffle and their morale booster is a band of snare drums and trumpet. This is how they show valor for their country. Actually they have shield, but shrunk to only 2 inch long and worn on their sleeves as a symbol.

During world war I, Americans called the Filipinos "cowards and uncivilized" because we use guerilla tactics and ambush. The Americans want face to face combat.

Somehow, the Americans adopted the guerilla tactics during world war II. It was enhanced when they learned how to use boby traps in Vietnam War which they also adopted.

Why not use the Bisaya Hervas, our original writing script. I will teach or translate words free of charge online if somebody is interested.

Moreover, nobody is anti-progress. The concerns refer to proper implementation, location, anti-corruption, proper management, planning and proper feasibility before implementation.

In case a project will only bring more harm than good, then its advocates are the anti-progress to our tourism industry.

Naa na man gyud ni nga Airport ug dili na man ni kapugngan, so ang ato na lang discussion is how Panglao and the Boholano community could benefit from it, how to minimize the negatives and maximize the positives.

It is now too late since nobody was bold enough to stand at the battle field during the initial stages. So, the blame game will only worsen the damage.

So, I will start with some suggestions that will make this airport beneficial instead of an eyesore to Panglao and the Boholanos.

1. Panglao should create a sort of ordinance that 50% of the airport's workforce will be residents of Panglao. Workforce shall be management staff/regular employees like customs official, security, catering, airport management, etc) having birth certificates from Panglao.

2. Duty Free Market shall be established inside the terminal which shall be managed by the municipality of Panglao.

3. Fair Taxes shall be established to benefit Panglao.

4. Toll fee shall be imposed on Causeway and Dauis Bridges.

5. Modern garbage disposal and recycling facility (solid & liquid wastes) shall be incorporated in the budget. All wastes shall be disposed out of Panglao Island, perhaps a landfill somewhere in Bohol Mainland.

3. Customs office for Export/Import shall be established with Laboratory/Testing facility which include medical and quarantine.

4. Import/Export of Industrial, Chemical or Hazardous materials shall be restricted. With this, we can import/export food, garments, ornaments but not industrial products.

These are just some of the positives that I could think of right now.

Unsa man inyo ika suggest.
#317

One secret is to date and get to know several person.

Ang date sa uban nga nasod, is less than friendship, it is just to acquaint the person, just like having a personal interview.

What I mean is date nga sama sa uban nga nasod which is just having dinner and getting acquainted with the person.

Accordingly, you can set your target.

Manay, it is actually unfilipino and a betrayal of our foreparents and heroes. It is undermining their blood/sacrifices and a nightmare to thier dream of a Free Philippines.

Foreigners have money and at the end, Foreigners will own most of our land and we end up a nation of servants in our own land.

We will come back to the old colonial times. Then who will be our next Jose Rizal? Perhaps I will volunteer if that will happen.
#326
Hmmm, this is difficult.

Falling in love can not be choreographed. Its a natural thing.

So kung gusto gyud mo nga ma fall in love with the right person, find somebody you think is perfect nga wala ka pa ma in love niya. Like rich, beautiful or handsome, sexy body, buotan, courteous, kind, understanding, lami mo luto, kamao mo laba, etc.

Second step, kung amigo na mo, then try to fall in love with him or her. If a spark develops between the two of you, then swerte ka. You fell in love with the right person.

Ang weather or not Arroyo wants to stay in power is a diversionary issue para ang focus sa mga katawhan dili na didto sa 100% land ownership of foreign nationals.

Hope nga nakuha ninyo ang akong buot ipasabot.

Arroyo won't care who will be the next leader as long as she will have sure Billions from the lands she will sell to foreigners.

Kimverlie Molina representing all Pinoys of Al Khobar Saudi Arabia will participate on the 13th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts, set to take place on July 11-19 in Los Angeles, California.

Here's a sample video of hers:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcEGQg04bsQ

Hence, to all Pinoys out there, here's Kimverlie's background as a young artist:

Filpop: A platform for singing, and a cause
By Joe Avancena

IN 1998, Dr. Ronnie E. Molina, a dentist, converted a small room in his apartment in Al-Khobar into a music room to train young children in singing. Among them was also his young daughter Kimverlie.

The training program, mostly in pop music, eventually became very popular within the Filipino community. Many parents felt that Molina’s musical project was a good avenue to enhance the personality of their children. They started sending their children â€" studying in elementary to high school â€" to learn the art of singing under Molina’s tutelage.

The number of children attending the singing sessions, conducted during weekends, increased, forcing Molina to relocate the venue from his flat to a Filipino school.
“In 2004, after six years of sacrifices, spending my own resources and time, and constant encouragement from parents and community leaders, I formally organized the project into what is now the Filipino Pop Music Club (Filpop),” Molina said.

The Filpop is now governed by the Filpop Music Club Executive Committee, headed by Molina as the founder and executive director. The job of overseeing the club, however, is performed by a group of officers and advisers.

The club inducted last week its officers and advisers for 2009. This new committee is headed by Jun Z. Eledia as deputy executive officer. Other officers are: Jaypee M. Vega, secretary; Mae V. Salvador, assistant secretary; Carol C. Vencer, treasurer; Thess B. Tunac, assistant treasurer; James C. Cipriano, auditor; Thess L. Cipriano, assistant auditor; Pabs E. Balbarosa, PRO; Annie C. Mendiola, assistant PRO; Ronald Conde, project director; Liyo C. Cefre, assistant project director; Ted Lor, finance director; Benny E. Celestino, marketing director; Demifred Tunac, technical director; Grace C. Sitchon, assistant finance director; Gener Kampitan, assistant technical director; and Nilo Bejasa, assistant marketing director.

Bong F. Buella, Joselito L. Cadiz, John Mendiola, Ronnie Sitchon, Eyek Ellamil, Carlo Gonzales, and Boyet Indefenso are the Filpop council of advisers.

The new officers and advisers were inducted into office by Philippine labor attaché David Des T. Dicang, who lauded Filpop’s contribution to the Filipino community in the Eastern Province.
Molina said among the people who convinced him to officially launch the club were Fred Abrenica, whose daughter, Jasmine Mae, became the overall champion of The Filipino Channel (TFC) Pop Star singing contest in Saudi Arabia in 2006, and Philippine labor attaché Manuel C.Roldan.
Molina’s daughter, Kimverlie, won the overall grand championship of the ABS-CBN TFC Pop Star Middle East Singing Competition held in Dubai in 2006.

Graduates of the Filpop, most of them now in college, have been successful in their singing career. Recently, Janette Ricasio, a former student of Filpop, together with Jasmine Mae and Kimverlie, won a national singing competition in Canada where her family migrated.

Kimverlie, who is now enrolled in a music school in Manila, will participate in the 13th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts, set to take place on July 11-19 in Los Angeles, California. The international meet is often cited as the official “World Talent Championships” for aspiring performers and entertainers.

The Filpop, which has trained about 300 Filipino children, has been transformed into an active group of about 80 Filipino families in the Eastern Province, working together to support the club started by Molina.

The club now has its own small studio at the Al-Andalus International School in Al-Khobar, where school children are trained in the art of singing and stage performance. Assisting Molina is training director, Jaypee M. Vega, an accomplished singer himself. The club also supports Filipinos who are in need of assistance. The latest recipient of the Filpop’s support was Bong Araya, who successfully underwent a kidney transplant in Manila. â€" SG

When I became a father, I became a child again and grow up with my kids.

Together, we watch cartoons, play kids games, tell stories before bed (sometimes bible stories), we scratch each other's back. I thank God that we are in a place where food is not an issue.

We rotate house chores (they thought washing plates is a fun game and they enjoy the bubbles).

I'm not very strict about their school grades. It is more important that they gain wisdom than gaining knowledge. Anyway, they acquired more knowledge from the internet than from school (which is free-of-charge).

My kids are free to voice out their opinion without feeling guilty. I allow them to justify what they believe and I listen before I start to speak.

I teach them to enjoy simple things and be proud of what they have. Reward system will train them to set goals and work to achieve.

My only intentions is my kids would grow a wise ethical self made leader with a word of honor. Not a person who takes advantage of the less fortunate.

By the way, asa man ta kapalit ug treated bamboo sa Bohol? Murag mag-organic housing na lang ko, kay nabasa naku nga kung properly treated daw ang bamboo (with borax) ug ipauga ug 3 taman 6 buwan, mudugay daw ug 30 to 50 years. Bamboo houses diri sa Japan mudugay man daw ug 200 years. Unbelievable.

First of all, that is not a national anthem but only an "inspirational song". Thats why Martin did not sung it in accordance with the original arrangement.

A national anthem can not be sung inside unsacred venue such as a Casino, Arena where gambling is held.

If it is held in a Gymnasium or a grandstand, then yes he can sing the original arrangement of Lupang Hinirang.

Are they serious or just looking for ways to spend the taxpayers money by going back & forth to Manila staying in 5 star hotels just to pursue this case.
#347
Sa akong gisulat sa lain nga thread, kining Boxing is a form of entertainment, sugal pa man gani ug ang venue sa Casino which is an unsacred venue to raise a flag.

Perhaps Martin could not sing our national anthem in an unsacred place.

In a case of an annoying door-to-door salesperson, they are equiped with tons of rebutals. Whatever you say, they have every answer/rebutal that leads the conversation to buy thier products. I know this because I have been at selling encyclopedias after college days.

The good thing is that these people are always ready to accept the word NO and it will not hurt them.

So, incase you don't like the product, just say NO. But if you like, please call them. They will always leave you a number. They work for a living too.

It is already a balance scenario: People who eat more obviously paid more food & beverage taxes; therefore, they deserve better healthcare facility from the government.

Why only Martin?

Kung kakasohan si Martin, dapat pod kasohan si Paquiao kay ang iyang robe is designed partly of the Philippine Flag.

It says in our Flag Law, Section 34; article (e) not to make the flag as a costume as below:

SECTION 34. It shall be prohibited:
e) To wear the flag in whole or in part as a costume or uniform;

It is OK for me, whatever it is.

You see, it depends on the purpose, what crowd and the occassion.

If it is on a diplomatic gathering or function, then the official version & cadence should be used.

But a boxing match is a privately organized function and it's purpose is entertainment. The venue is not  the Whitehouse, UN or diplomatic quarter.

For me, we should beautify our national anthem to be as entertaining as possible on such occasions; otherwise, Filipinos will sound like the "Russians" in the movie Rocky IV if we use a military type rendition.

Mayweather is not a boxer. He runs all the time, not wanting to trade punches with his opponent.

Some boxing analysts call Mayweather "Gayweather".

Mayweather is not a blow-by-blow boxer. Most of his fights are boring, but if he sees opportunity he has speed.

Perhaps this recession is a blessing to our country to bring forth progress in terms of leadership overhaul and fighting corruption.

April and May is school vacation for my Kids and they are most home alone while I am in office.

The problem is I have three kids and I have only one computer.

So, I taught my kids three important moral lesson as follows:
- Cooperation
- Patience
- and the most important "Word of Honor"

They will carry this simple lesson with them and grow up as ethical person.

Games that they play. There are lots of educational games made by yahoo like:
- Dinner Dash
- Sally's Saloon
- Sally's Spa

Try it, even grown-ups will enjoy. It will teach your kids management skills, time management, how to budget your income, what to buy with your income, what employees to hire, importance of customer service, how to expand your shop from small town to metropolis, etc.

They will surely enjoy while learning.

Gasto gasto lang ni nga Bridge.

Sa akong estimate, mo dagan pa ug more than 20 years para ma fully paid nato ang maong bridge.

So, while our political system is unstable, it is safer for our pocket not to start this luxurious project.

That is actually invasion of private life.

If workload made an employee sick, then the employee has the right to divert her mind to relaxing activities, may it be web surfing, outing, watching TV, etc.

The employee might look physically healthy, but mentally sick due to workload.

The best working environment is still at Google HQ, where you can take nap anytime, eat at their 24 hour restaurant anytime, play pool or ping-pong at the boardroom and work in T-Shirts & Jeans.

Koddi, I think the incident happened sometime in March 13, 2005 and not in 2007.

I remembered it clearly because our OFW organization BOWACCC donated some amount to the victims.

Also, the journalist who covered this incident was our very own Admin Mike Ligalig when he was then a Journalist of the Bohol Chronicle.

LGU Philippines / Re: Reviving the issue of Chacha
April 25, 2009, 08:40:28 PM
Quote from: aduy on April 25, 2009, 08:07:33 PM
The new Supreme Court ruling increasing the number of party-list representatives in Congress favors the administration more than the opposition.

Once sworn in, the 32 new party-list representatives could affect Charter change (Cha-cha) moves in the legislative chamber. With just over a year before the 2010 presidential elections, the opposition fears that the adminstration is pushing for Cha-cha to extend President Arroyo's term. Repeated denials by the administration have not convinced Cha-cha critics.

Again, let me say that the public is blinded by above paragraph & theory. They seem to publicize this issue of Arroyo's Term Extension.

But this is not the real issue folks. This is just to divert and mask-off the real motive of Cha-cha. The real motive of Cha-cha is the 100% land ownership of Foreign Nationals.

I heard that the Arroyos and thier allies owns a lot of land in the Visayas and Mindanao. There were even exposei's of ill-managed land in Negros owned by the Arroyos. I also heard from a reliable source that massive buying of lands are going on in Mindanao specially in war torn areas. This gives me worries and belief that my theories were infact right. If I am right, there will also be a massive sell-out of lands to foreigners once the Cha-cha is ratified and someone will be featured in Who's who of Forbes Magazine. As my previous post, Malaysians are eyeing on Mindanao for expansion of their Palm Oil Plantation.

I don't care if Arroyo stays in power as long as she desire, but I can not tolerate the changing of our Constitution that will result to selling our native land to be owned by Foreigners.

We inherited this land from our forefathers through the blood & lives of our heroes. Every square inch of our land is priceless. Selling it to foreigners is actually betrayal. Nobody owns the Philippines, but the Filipinos.

I'm against chacha.

Thanks Aduy,

I know you are an OFW. Now, they are planning to add more people in Congress. By simple thinking, these new people are loyal to the admin who bought them to the new power. Obviously they are like loyal Carabaos with ropes on thier noses. These people could change the numbers!

We all know that each Congressman is eligible for "Pork Barrel". Where would they get this additional billions for Pork Barrel at this Ailing Economic Situation?

There is only one answer. From you Aduy, the OFW.

While there are lay-offs and industrial close-down happening in real time, why is the Malacanang confidently declared saying "Philippines economy is not affected by Global Crisis"?

Simple answer: because people who were laid off crossed the bridge for greener pasture (go/work abroad). The billy goat became an OFW and his remittances helped the economy afloat. The hole created by the crisis is being patched by OFW remittances.
