' Forgive those whom you love because the pain that you feel within is the same kind of pain that he also feels. There is a beautiful simplicity in forgiveness ; not because it cancels the transgressions between one another, but because it allows for a new start in this pilgrimage that we call Life. So, Will you forgive?'

Verse 1:
When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless Your heart

Bridge:
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

Chorus:
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

Verse 2:
King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath

Bridge:
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

Chorus:
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

Chorus:
I'm coming back to the heart of worship,
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

I give You praise
All that I adore is in You

Lord, I give You my heart

Lyrics:

Ive been a walking heartache
Ive made a mess of me
The person that Ive been lately
Aint who I wanna be

But you stay here right beside me
Watch as the storm goes through
And I need you

God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
For when I think Ive lost my way
There are no words here left to say, its true
God gave me you

Theres more here than what were seeing
A divine conspiracy
That you, an angel lovely
Could somehow fall for me
Youll always be loves great martyr
Ill be the flattered fool
& I need you

God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
For when I think Ive lost my way
There are no words here left to say, its true
God gave me you

On my own Im only
Half of what I could be
I cant do without you
We are stitched together
And what love has tethered
I could baby, never undo

God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
For when I think Ive lost my way
There are no words here left to say, its true
God gave me you, gave me you.
Gave me you.

This remains one of the 5 personal mottos that has influenced my life. This song, which is sung in Church Latin, is absolute in its message.

Ubi Caritas Deus ibi est

"Ubi Caritas Et Amor, Deus Ibi Est."

Ubi caritas et amor,
ubi caritas Deus ibi est.

Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor,
ubi caritas et amor Deus ibi est.
Exultemus et in ipso jucundemur,
ubi caritas et amor Deus ibi est.

Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero,
ubi caritas et amor Deus ibi est.
Et in medio nostri sit Christus Deus,
ubi caritas et amor Deus ibi est.

The central theme of this song, Ubi Caritas et Amor, Deus Ibi Est, is: Where There is Charity and Love, God Is There.

It is as beautiful as the sound of Church Bells on Sunday Morning.

Poems and Poets / She walks in beauty
October 17, 2010, 01:21:59 AM

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

I rose from marsh mud
algae, equisetum, willows,
sweet green, noisy
birds and frogs

to see her wed in the rich
rich silence of the church,
the little white slave-girl
in her diamond fronds.

In aisle and arch
the stain secret collects.
United for life to serve
silver. Possessed.

Quote from: Scarb on October 15, 2010, 05:21:27 AM

~Rainer Maria Rilke~

The Panther

His gaze, going past those bars, has got so misted
with tiredness, it can take in nothing more.
He feels as though a thousand bars existed,
and no more world beyond them than before.

Those supply powerful paddings, turning there
in tiniest of circles, well might be
the dance of forces round a center where
some mighty will stands paralyticly.

Just now and then the pupils' noiseless shutter
is lifted. - Then an image will indart,
down through the limbs' intensive stillness flutter,
and end its being in the heart.

Beautiful. There is something about the German language that intrigues me.
Der Panther, ja wie filden dir! ;)

Poems and Poets / So are you to my thoughts
October 13, 2010, 06:44:31 AM
So are you to my thoughts as food to life,
Or as sweet-season'd showers are to the ground;
And for the peace of you I hold such strife
As 'twixt a miser and his wealth is found;
Now proud as an enjoyer and anon
Doubting the filching age will steal his treasure,
Now counting best to be with you alone,
Then better'd that the world may see my pleasure;
Sometime all full with feasting on your sight
And by and by clean starved for a look;
Possessing or pursuing no delight,
Save what is had or must from you be took.
Thus do I pine and surfeit day by day,
Or gluttoning on all, or all away.

Poems and Poets / Let Not My Love be called idolatry
October 13, 2010, 06:41:53 AM
Let not my love be called idolatry,
Nor my beloved as an idol show,
Since all alike my songs and praises be
To one, of one, still such, and ever so.
Kind is my love to-day, to-morrow kind,
Still constant in a wondrous excellence;
Therefore my verse to constancy confined,
One thing expressing, leaves out difference.
Fair, kind, and true, is all my argument,
Fair, kind, and true, varying to other words;
And in this change is my invention spent,
Three themes in one, which wondrous scope affords.
Fair, kind, and true, have often lived alone,
Which three till now, never kept seat in one.

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;

Coral is far more red than her lips' red;

If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;

If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.

I have seen roses damask'd, red and white,

But no such roses see I in her cheeks;

And in some perfumes is there more delight

Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.

I love to hear her speak, yet well I know

That music hath a far more pleasing sound;

I grant I never saw a goddess go;

My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground.

And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare

As any she belied with false compare.

In fact from moralist's point of view. Immoral ang gihimo ni Manoy eh, he lured a poor young girl from the barrio in exchange for sex and taking care of him. He used his money to exploit the vulnerabilites of this young woman, whose only dream is to get out of poverty and maybe to help her family.

Good point, Wolf.

Kidding and joking aside, I do feel bad for this old man. In his old dotage (and as a widower) he was lonely, so he married a younger woman. However, it seems that the young woman was unsatisfied with him.  :-\

Deo Optimo Maximo    <For God, the best and greatest..>

This happens to be the motto of the Benedictines. This is my life motto, in all that I do, I give my plans to Him. So whatever may happen, happens because it is His Will...

The meaning in this latin verse , for me that is, is that whatever we may do we should offer the glory and the plan to God. Our expenditure of energy in work, studies, faith, and communion with man should be performed to the best of our ability. For the Glory, and Honor of God.
We expect the best, therefore, we should also give the best. In His Name..

i found this simple explanation of om.  let me share it thus:

The Meaning of Om

The ancient syllable "OM" is the shortest of the Mantras and in Indian tradition it is a word suggestive of God.

The scriptures tell us that "OM" is the planets primordial vibration from which the entire universe has arisen. All other sounds are contained within it.

It is believed that "OM" is the mother of all languages. Repetition of "OM" enables us to maintain mental and emotional calmness, overcome obstacles and enable understanding.

An analysis of "OM" as it is written in Sanskrit shows that it is made up of A, U, M and a symbol representing resonance. So "OM" has four aspects.

The first is A, a sound that comes from the belly, is formed in the open throat, and is voiced with the mouth open. As with many alphabets, A is the first letter of the Sanskrit alphabet.

The second aspect is the U, a sound that is formed in the middle of the mouth. The mouth is not as wide as it is for sounding the A.

With the third sound, M the mouth closes. The sound rises to the nasal passages, from where the resonance, the forth aspect of "OM" issues forth.

It is said that A represents the waking state, U the dream state, and M the state of deep dreamless sleep. The fourth state is the sounds in the resonance following M.

Saying "OM" is actually a form of meditation.

(Acknowledgement: T.K.V Desikachar, The Heart of Yoga)

In the Hindu religion, OM is the representation of the Impersonal Absolute Creator of Worlds: Brahma. The Hindu Creator god.

The goal which all the Vedas declare, which all austerities aim at, and which men desire when they lead the life of continence … is Om. This syllable Om is indeed Brahman. Whosoever knows this syllable obtains all that he desires. This is the best support; this is the highest support. Whosoever knows this support is adored in the world of Brahma."
~ Katha Upanishad I

Hindus believe that OM was the very sound that Brahma ushered when he created creation (in the Hindu sense of creation, not the Christian sense).

But then again, many Hindus believe that the Christian Father God is the same as Brahma and Brahma is the same as Allah (in Islam). The same way as how some neo-Hindus will claim that Jesus Christ was an avatar of Brahma.

Question and Answer / Re: Where do we go after Death?
October 11, 2010, 12:54:24 PM
I had a conversation with a friend (a baptist) regarding this rather interesting topic. Of course, notwithstanding, biblical verses were exchanged on our part. We agreed that the notion of afterlife does in fact exist, by nature of faith, that we know and see not with our physical eyes, but by the eyes of the eternal soul. Christ Jesus is the key to this salvation, definitely.

The next day, we held the same conversation with other believers and some agnostics and atheists.

One of the atheists asked a question that was issued to cause dismay , but my friend and I tackled this question head on.
His question was, "What if there is no after life, then what do you Christians do?"

But instead of giving into his accusatory question, my friend (the baptist) answered accordingly,
"Then, in that case, you and all of us will be dead. Devoid of life and thought. There won't be any thought of anguish or pain or pestilence on believing in a faith that did not save because, afterall, we will be dead. Devoid of abstract thought."

He then asked him in return,
"But, friend, what will you do when you die, at the moment of death there was still blackness. Then out of no where you are called out by name. And realize that there really is an afterlife. Too late..."

Life After Death

What happens after death?

The Atheist: You go to the ground, and become food for the worms. Have a good day!

The Muslim: Sadiq (Brother), if you are a good muslim and practiced Islam, defended Islam, and took into heart the Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH; Peace be upon him) then you will be judged by Allah Most Magnificent Most Forgiving, and be given entrance into Paradise! If Not you will be tossed into Eternal Hellfire

The Hindu: It depends on the Will of the Lord Brahma and your actions in this life. You will enter reincarnation after death. The level of rebirth depends on your goodness, kindness, and actions in the past life.

The Christian: If you believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Savior, you will enter paradise. If you did not, you will burn in eternal hell fire.

Scientologists: You go to space!

The Mormon:
Depending on how many wives you have, you will have your own plane of heaven!

Addendum:

The Roman Catholic Church invented the Collegiate System. They invented the Collegium , the University system.
Now, does that mean that all students who attend a university have to be Catholic? Of course not.

Ahmed Mustafa Ibn Muhammad in the University of Istanbul isn't a Catholic because he attends a collegiate system. (emphasis on the name, as a point).

The Protestant Christians that go to college & university does not make them Catholics because they are attending a Catholic-invented/ catholic-organized educational concept. Because they have separated the form and the religion linked to it.

Same thing applies.
#27854
hehe and these are the type of christians that claim Catholics are going to burn in hell for idolatry. Ah, must I even add that the bible that this preacher is reading is the incomplete form? Oh Mohler, please, please.

It's like some Mormons telling Catholics not to have child baptism because of it being unbiblical. Nonsense.

This article is ludicrous. The art of yoga is a meditation form, if you claim to be a practicing Christian you should be fine if you practice the yoga art form so long as you don't start reciting and believing in the Bhagavad Gita or any of the Hindu religious texts that may be contrary to your own individual faith. I'm a red belt in Tae Kwon Do, but does it mean that I'm a Mahayana Buddhist (since the monks that practiced Tae Kwon Do were Mahayana Buddhists)? Of course not. You practice the art, not the religion linked to it. Differentiate the dichotomy between it.

Takayama Ukon in Manila, 17th century painting.

Dom Justo Takayama (1552 â€" February 4, 1615) was a kirishitan daimyo and a Japanese Samurai who followed Christianity in the Sengoku period of Japan.

Takayama Justo was born to be the heir of Takayama Tomoteru, the lord of Sawa Castle in the Yamato Province. His name as a child was Hikogorō (彦äº"郎). At the age of 12 (1564), his father converted to Catholicism and Hikogorō was also baptized Justo. After his coming-of-age ceremony, Hikogorō was named Shigetomo (重友). However, he is better known as Takayama Ukon (高山右è¿'). The name Ukon comes from the government post he pretended, the officer of Ukonoefu (this was usual practice among samurai of the time).

Justo and his father fought through the turbulent age to secure their position as a daimyo. They managed to acquire Takatsuki Castle (Takatsuki, Osaka) under Oda Nobunaga and also under Toyotomi Hideyoshi, at least in the first years of his rule. During their domination of Takatsuki Region, Justo and his father Dario pushed their policy as Kirishitan daimyo (Christian daimyo) forward. Many of his fellows converted under his influence.

However, Toyotomi Hideyoshi grew against Christianity and, in 1587, he ordered the expulsion of missionaries. While many daimyo obeyed this order and discarded Catholicism, Justo proclaimed that he would maintain his religion and rather give up his land and property.

Justo lived under the protection of his friends for several decades, but following the 1614 prohibition of Christianity by Tokugawa Ieyasu, the ruler of the time, he was expelled from Japan. On November 8, 1614, together with 300 Japanese Christians he left his home country from Nagasaki. He arrived at Manila on December 21 and was greeted warmly by the Spanish Jesuits and the local Filipinos there.

The Spanish Philippines offered their assistance in overthrowing the Japanese government by an invasion to protect Japanese Catholics. However, Justo declined to participate in the plan and died of illness just 40 days afterwards.

At that time, the Spaniards referred to the Paco Area as the "Yellow Plaza" because of the more than 3,000 Japanese who resided there. Plaza Dilao is the last vestige of the old town of Paco.

There is a statue of Dom Justo Takayama in Plaza Dilao, Manila. Justo appears in the statue wearing warrior robes with his hair tied in a knot. He is carrying a sword that is pointed downward, upon which hangs a figure of a crucified Jesus.

When he died in 1615, the Spanish government interred him with a Christian burial with full military honors as a Daimyo. He is the first Daimyo to be buried in Philippine soil.

Poems and Poets / Comparing thee to summer's day
October 11, 2010, 03:57:29 AM
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May;
And summer's lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

- W. Shakespeare

thanks for giving me an idea about basic geography skills,dong. when he was less than a year old, i was focused on teaching him the alphabet and its phonics or anything about words or puzzles. now,i'm beginning to expand his knowledge about numbers kay mao ni ako weakness,hehehe.

he started his nursery class last june up to july only coz we decided to withdraw him from his class coz he had asthma attacks every week already. there was one time, i had to bring his nebulizer in school coz he didn't like to be absent but his teacher told me to let him rest instead. it was really hot for him in school, and also, there are grasses outside their room, which accdg to one of the fathers i met, can trigger asthma. so ako na lang nagteach niya ron.

Mao ba diay, 'te? Bitaw, dili bitaw ni safe if ibutang ang bata sa nursery where there is  alot of other children because of the transmission of bacteria, cold amongst the kids. We were never put in a nursery, but rather, were taught in the home by our father and mother. When it was time to go to kindergarten, we were enrolled. Its good bitaw that you are teaching him at such an early age, this will stimulate neurological growth, and predispose him to a high IQ when he reaches adult phase. Good Job! Kids at his age 4-6 years of age will experience the fastest cognitive growth. This is the time where they develop the notion of right and wrong, sharing and keeping for ones self, and most of all, the foundation for morality and ethic.

A strong bond between mother and child is necessary for proper child growth, psychologically and physically.

Good Job!

Hay naku lethal injection nalang... kasakit pud ani.

Lethal injecting, and guillotine are quick and effective. Di ko sa hanging kay there are cases in which those condemned to death literally had to experience hanging for over 40 minutes before expiring. If they are to die, let death come quick.

Oo, pero at least dili mafeel ang blade.

hehehe, claro kaajo 'maluuyon' ka, Belle. I can assure you that by the velocity of the blade's downward direction, then taking into consideration the thinness of the blade, the severance of the spinal cord at the C1 & C2 vertebrae will completely cut off all pain fibers traversing to the brain (CNS). Respiratory , cardiovascular, renal, and all other visceral organs will immediately shut down without neural interface. I assure you death by guillotine is quite merciful, and quick. For the one being executed, it is quick and painless. For those watching, it seems gruesome because of the spilling of blood. The latter is nothing but psychological. For the one being executed, it is the final and irreversible end.

even if mamatt has two nannies, mangita gihapon ni nako,dong.i can't go somewhere without bringing mamatt. i tried one time but before i could reach my destination,my husband was sending me a msg to go home coz mamatt was already inconsolably crying.

about weening, i tried it last year but it was only for some weeks.he tried to bear the sourness of the lemon.

about his intelligence dong,pwera buyag. he really likes to learn, and he is a fast learner.

hehehe murag separation anxiety man ning case gi hatag nimo, Ate. Normal man jud ni for children growing up. A child will be closer to a mother-figure and any slight disappearance will result in the child's crying. Phase man jud ni, 'te.

On his learning, keep playing with him. When my younger brother was his age, I would not only teach him how to read, but also taught him basic geography skills (locating nations, capitals on our World Book Globe) and this did help him. Keep on stimulating his mind, so as he develops an early interest in abstract thought and memorization. Thanks be to God! Mo start na baja si ondoy sa pre-school classes?

dong,mamatt who has just turned 4 yrs old, is still breastfed. i tried to give him formula milk before he turned two pro iya man itotho ang milk,nasayang na lang ang gatas,mahal baya. pag 4 niya last week, he started to drink my milk before he sleeps but not during the day. salamat tawn kay kapoy sad baya magpadede.

Mao ba, 'te. Gradual weening is preferred to total weening. Eventually he will be so used to the taste and the regularity of his new feeding that he will eventually grow accustomed to not having to receive maternal breast milk. Phasing increments is best.

It should be regulated that he start eating hard solid foods ; and bottled milk be given for sleeping. Eventually, he will grow accustomed to not having to take maternal breast milk until the latter is nullified from his diet.

Regards.

^ that method is too cruel, imho. The guillotine is better: Quick & Painless.
The crashing of the blade will sever the spinal cord at the level of the C1&C2 , and upon impact, immediately severing the central nervous system's afferent and efferent signals to the rest of the body.

it's really true that when a baby is breastfed,close kaau sya sa iya mom. that's what happen to mamatt,dong. but at times,it's a bit irritating that i don't have the luxury of time to take a bath because matt is already looking for me or sometimes even follow me in the bathroom.

Hehehe close diay si Ondoy Matthew nimo, Ate? At age 4, his mastery of the English and Bisayan language is spectacular and above standards! (from my conversation with him!). Bright kaajo imong anak, just from my own experience with pediatric cases in the floor.

Okay pood ning breast feeding because it is true that mother's milk has high IgA & IgG (immunoglobulin) which transfers the mother's protective immunoprotection to the child during breast-feeding. This translates into a healthier child, devoid of many immunological cases of children who were weened at an earlier age. The average weening age should be 5 months, however, there are cases of children still receiving mother's milk past 48 months. There is no pathology in this, this shows a strong maternal-child bond. Weening is a case-by-case basis according to the preference of the mother.

Kamusta naman si Matthew, 'te? Bright kaajo imong anak. :)

Oo, recommended tsako mama, hahaha. Mao siguro, tana, Dong Bran. D baya jud lalim ang mga sacrifices sa mga nanay. D man sa ingon na magpabayad me mga nanay... pero ok na sa ako kung matigulang ko naa man lang motawag ug moingon "How are you ma?"

hahaha. Ako galing baby pa ko, gi weened naman ko from my mother's milk at about 8 months. I was placed in promil , which is known for its effects in essential vitamins for infants. Ang effect ani is increased bone growth and high amount of essential vitamins ADEK and the rest of the continuum. Ahong igsoon baji , gi placed pood ni sija sa promil, as well as were my younger cousins.

As for the last of your post, Belle, sure ko imong baby dili lang na sija mo ingon ra 'how are you ma?'.

I am a solid believer child maturation processes in regards to parental presence and its effects being a strong parent-child relationship. Kining bata nga laki, mo develop man ni sila ug strong bond to their mothers even at later stages of development (not only during their pre-pubertal and adolescent years, but beyond). You see, a child (boy or girl) develops a special bond with his mother and the essential relationship of a caring mother results in a thriving baby. There are many cases of infants who were devoid of a caring mother figure, which resulted in children failing to thrive and had troubles with trust, as well as developed neurological sequelae (in their adult years). Essential man jud ning strong mother-child or father-child relationship (but there is a greater importance on the maternal relationship to the child, neuro-cognitively speaking).

Na, padayon jud ning imong relasyon sa imong anak na lalaki.

Extend a hug and kiss to your son for me. :)
