Group of male German soldiers developing breasts from drill training

January 25, 2013

Members of the German Wachbataillon unit perform one of their drill demonstrations. (YouTube)

A group of male German soldiers are experiencing an extremely bizarre health ailment â€" growing unexpected new body parts.

The highly ranked military guards battalion, known for performing drill demonstrations at major events, are growing breasts on just one side of their bodies, Medical Daily reported.

The soldiers â€" part of the Wachbataillon unit â€" are suffering from a condition called one-sided gynecomastia, and it’s a result of how the soldiers are performing their drills.  Seventy-four percent of the soldiers have been diagnosed with gynecomastia, after complaining of growths on the left side of their bodies.

This is an area outside of Darvaz in Uzbekistan. The locals call it (surprise!) the Door to Hell. It's the Russian equivalent of Centralia, and like all Russian equivalents of anything, it is much, much worse than the alternative. Whereas Centralia is a small town precariously placed over a never-ending fire and plagued by sinkholes, the Door to Hell was a large gas-mining camp that fell entirely into a massive sinkhole. The Russians, being classic Russians, decided that the best way to avoid getting poisoned by all the flammable gas in their flammable gas mine was...to light it on fire.

That was 35 years ago; it has burned ever since.

This is actually an undoctored picture of a fire at a chemical factory in the Netherlands. It took 150 firefighters to put out the flames, and while the plant burned completely to the ground, no injuries were recorded despite the toxic fumes. Though surrounding citizens were warned to stay inside to avoid possible respiratory infections and rampaging Balrogs.

unfortunately, for her, she belonged to a family that has no psychology.  nagdako siya nga ikomparar nako.  usa gyod ni ka sayop ug ginikanan, kining ikomparar ang anak.  fortunately, for her, she was always compared to me favorably.  sa ilang tinan-awan lamang kaayo siya nako.  which means nga angay unta siyang malipay, right?  problema lang, mas bright ko, according to me ra pod, hahaha!

anyway, niliko na man kog maayo sa background pa lang... to cut a long story short, nagkita mig balik after 22 years.  niharuhay siya pag-ayo kay naminyo ug milyonir.  between me and my god, i was truly happy for her and even spoke well of her.  kaso, atong pagkita namog balik, nakuha nako ang import sa damage nga nahimo sa komparar-komparar while we were growing up.

gawas nga mo-insistir siya nga ang violin nga akong gidala di gyod ako (aba, mas kahibawo pa siya kaysa nakong tag-iya), iya pa kong gipatungtong ug weighing scale, morag baboy nga gitimbang.  siya pa ang nagbuot kun unsa ko kabug-ata.  diri siya sa kilid nagtan-aw; natural ang pointer sa scale mas dako kay sa akong makit-an ug straight kay nagtungtong man ko.  in other words, gasige gihapon siyag komparar sa iyang kaugalingon, and she didn't like it that i am slimmer.  pagkatoytoy.

the clincher:  nangutana unsay awto namo.  pikat.  ang iyang tinan-awan nako was what struck me most.  ready nga mokatawa, pilit ang tinutokan aron matukhi kun mamakak ba ko.  purya gaba.

kataposang namong issue; kadugayan iya kong gidaot sa akong bana.  mag-ampo siya nga di mi magkitag balik kay makatilaw gyod siya unsay angay ug miserable ug attitude.  i'm gonna clobber her. ;D

moral lesson/s:

if you must compare yourself, better choose a cabbage than a female cousin.

we can choose our friends, but not our relatives.

as for cars, who cares.  it's better to walk for a healthier heart.  (too bad, hof, that our urban areas aren't safe for walking, unlike in germany where a walk is a pleasant experience.)

"It's a 21st century problem," he said.

But it's an issue emergency agencies will have to deal with sooner or later, if the experience of first responders Crabtree has spoken to is any indication.

"They don't talk about it openly, but when you get them alone ... " Crabtree said, like the responders, leaving the rest unspoken.

Few, if any, agencies have policies on what to do about the multitude of ringing phones police and firefighters frequently encounter at disaster scenes, Crabtree said.

He said he tells trainees turning off the phones can help save their own sanity, but says some agencies could view the act as tampering with evidence.

He favors policies that would allow responders to turn the phones off, but says most commanders haven't yet come to the same conclusion.

Hundreds of family and friends were desperately trying to reach loved ones who were at the nightclub in the Brazilian city of Santa Maria when a fire swept through early Sunday, killing at least 230 people and injuring hundreds more.

"It was a really complicated scene. A lot of smoke, a lot of shoes that were left, cell phones, because everybody tried to get out of there running," Glauber Fernandes, a reporter for CNN affiliate Band News said.

"While we were there, we saw the cell phones were ringing. It was parents, friends, trying to know about what was happening and nobody was answering."

It was the same Sunday night, when firefighters rushed through a hole punched into the wall of the Kiss nightclub by people who had escaped the building after it caught on fire.

They found dozens of bodies of club-goers who died of smoke inhalation. And they once again heard the sounds of ringing phones.

Milton Neves, a reporter from Radio Bandeirantes, said some 800 to 900 mobile phones were going off at the same time. One alone had 104 missed calls.

the california train disaster, 2008

Los Angeles first responders dealt with the same issue when a commuter train collided with a freight train in 2008.

Hundreds of firefighters and other first responders flooded the scene, clawing through the mangled wreckage to get at the bodies of victims. All the while, Crabtree said, dozens of cell phones kept ringing.

Aurora police Officer Justin Grizzle spoke this month during a court hearing of entering a theater where 12 people died in that shooting rampage.

The things he noticed: blood running down the steps and the sound of cell phones ringing.

Crabtree first ran across the issue following the Virginia Tech shooting, in which a lone gunman, a student, killed 32 people.

Some first responders couldn't get the sound of ringing cell phones out of their ears, psychologists Christopher Flynn of Virginia Tech and Dennis Heitzmann of Penn State wrote in a follow up journal article.

"As police and rescue workers removed the bodies of the deceased and evacuated the survivors, they reported haunting memories of cell phones ringing in body bags as parents and friends desperately called their loved ones."

The incessantly ringing phones, and the realization that someone is desperately trying to reach someone else who is now dead, short-circuits the psychological defenses first responders need to do their jobs, said Jim Crabtree, a registered nurse who helps train them for the Los Angeles County Emergency Management Services Agency.

"It starts ringing and it becomes an instant reminder that this person is human, that they have friends and family who care," he said.

It also leaves responders with an uneasy feeling they're keeping a secret from the victim's loved ones, Crabtree said.

Eerie sounds of cell phones amid disaster adds to first-responder toll

By Michael Pearson, CNN
January 29, 2013

(CNN) -- The dead can't speak. Their cell phones do.

And, for police, firefighters and paramedics, the incessant chirping, bleating and incongruously cheerful boom box beats of victims' cell phones comprise a soundtrack of disaster.

It happened at the Virginia Tech shootings in 2007, a commuter train crash in Los Angeles the next year, the movie theater massacre in Aurora, Colorado, last July and, again, at the night club fire in Brazil that killed 231 people on Sunday.

Ambergris: Lumps of oxidized fatty compounds, whose precursors were secreted and expelled by the sperm whale. Ambergris should not be confused with yellow amber, which is used in jewelry. Because the harvesting of ambergris involves no harm to its animal source, it remains one of the few animalic fragrancing agents around which little controversy now exists.

1.  inquire from the embassy of the country involved, or visit its website

2.  inquire from the philippine embassy in the country involved, or visit its website (in this case, it's the philippine embassy in denmark that covers all the scandinavian countries-- sweden, denmark, norway, finland, as well as estonia, latvia, and lithuania; it's just a click away)

3.  inquire from the POEA of the department of labor

4.  don't believe your closest friends who would tell you that it's true; chances are they too have been duped or are into the scam themselves

5.  nothing is ever easy

The Zipa used to cover his body in gold dust and, from his raft, he offered treasures to the Guatavita goddess in the middle of the sacred lake. This old Muisca tradition became the origin of El Dorado legend. This model is on display in the Gold Museum, Bogotá, Colombia (wikipedia)

Imagined as a place, El Dorado became a kingdom, an empire, and a city of this legendary golden king. In pursuit of the legend, Francisco Orellana and Gonzalo Pizarro departed from Quito in 1541 in an expedition towards the Amazon Basin, as a result of which Orellana became the first person known to have navigated the Amazon River along substantially its entire length. El Dorado (Spanish for "the gilded one") is the name of a Muisca tribal chief who covered himself with gold dust and, as an initiation rite, dove into the Guatavita Lake. Later, it became the name of a legendary "Lost City of Gold", that fascinated explorers since the days of the Spanish Conquistadors. No evidence for its existence has been found. (wikipedia)

as it turns out, sometimes there are those without degrees who turn out wiser.  i've learned long ago to always presume that any person i meet knows something that i don't know.  it makes me feel safe. :)

in the unlikely event that this could hold true, what's needed here?  a gynecologist, internist, an exorcist, or a vacuum cleaner? ;D

it looks like this kind of story surfaces now and then, and proof is hardly given every time.

some observations:

1. the protagonists are all described as cheats

2. no names are ever given

3. what cannot be explained biologically (because vaginal muscles are "not arnold schwazenegger on steroids"), the story in kenya resorts to black magic

4. gma's 2009 story is about a "case" in isulan, sultan kudarat and names radio station dzrh as the source, which is located in pasay in metro manila

5. i will believe such stories ONLY if the attending doctor's name is given and is quoted thus

6. what is true though is that sometimes during dry days (that is, when there are no newsworthy events that can hog the headlines and everyone is bored) news outlets may spin out stories that are neither here nor there, neither truths nor lies

7. these particular stories have built-in "escape hatches"; no one is going to sue for libel because there are no names and the outlet can always declare its entertainment value

8. the kenyan video i take as nothing but a porno film (too bad my internet connection is weak now, so i chose not to view ching's video post just yet); the news item as written is just too weak for it to be serious (even the name of the witch doctor is not given; well, everyone has a sense of humor)

p.s. wikipedia has an item on the possibility of this situation.  but then we'll never know.  i will believe this only if there's a living, breathing, bonafide doctor who can honestly describe and report his treatment for this turtle dove, in medical journals.

lorenz? ;D

Sticky situation turns lovers into talk of town

August 12, 2009

Two secret lovers became the talk of the town in the southern Philippines Wednesday after they were found literally stuck to each other.

Doctors were at a loss on how to separate the two lovers, who had been stuck for more than 17 hours since Tuesday night, radio dzRH reported Wednesday afternoon.

The report quoted doctors at the Isulan town hospital in Sultan Kudarat province as saying the two lovers experienced penis captivus, a condition in which the muscles in the female organ clamp down on the male organ more firmly than usual, making it impossible for the man to withdraw his organ from the woman's.

Before experiencing the condition, the two lovers had a rendezvous at a local pension house in Isulan town Tuesday night.

The man, 32, was described as married and connected with the Department of Public Works and Highways. The woman, 20, was working at a local department store.

Initial investigation showed that the two experienced penis captivus at about 10 p.m., and decided to seek medical help at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, said the report.

Draped only in a blanket, the naked couple asked a tricycle driver outside the pension house to take them to a hospital.

At the hospital, doctors used a tranquilizer on the man to make his muscles contract, but still could not immediately separate the duo. - GMANews.TV

Man Stuck Inside Another Man’s Wife Due To Black Magic

admin | May 10, 2012

A Kenyan man who was cheating with another man’s wife got stuck in her this week in a guest house in Nairobi. The husband of the woman had suspected she was cheating on him, so he visited a witchdoctor who applied black magic on the wife, causing the cheating man to get stuck inside her during the act.

For hours, the police could not rescue him from the black magic, and the husband in blue jeans and white T-Shirt refused to be persuaded.

A big crowd swelled outside to witness the drama, as police ran out of options on how to help the two. The cheating man finally agreed to pay the husband Sh20,000 in compensation. Then a local pastor was called in to pray and the two were finally separated.

At the end of the video the cheating man was seen heading out to withdraw the money from an ATM.

Pupula Duplex (Eyes With 2 Pupils)

Liu Ch’ung was a Chinese emperor that was featured in a episode of “Ripley’s Believe it or Not!” because he had two irises/pupils in each of his eyeballs. It’s basically a condition that is called “pupula duplex” â€" which means in Latin: “double pupil”.

Just like the Alexandria’s Genesis, this is a legend, and there hasn’t been any recent cases recorded. (http://mediclopedia.tumblr.com/)
