i tell u guys how i ended in bangkok. i went to bangkok on my own, no work, no recruiter. got in as tourist, stayed with a friend for one week while looking for work and then move out rent an apartment. then i look around the block for work and do tutorials for english and adobe photoshop, one on one. i buy newpapers look at classified ads, sent out applications, look online jobs and send applications. after 1 month i got the job from www.jobsdb.com. i tell you, there are so many jobs in Thailand if u just take time and work your ***. Thailand badly need teachers and somebody who can really speak and write english. You dont need recruiters. If you have friends in Thailand, approach them. I have housed a few new arrivees at my place before. Some are not even my friends but friends of my friends. Kababayans will never turn their backs.

so those of you who are planning to visit thailand, please do away with recruiters

id like to see the government do something with the street kids, beggars and naked crazy people on the loose. usa jud ni sa makaturn off sa mga tourists. imagine a family with kids from abroad seeing naked man on the street. u wouldnt want your kids see those scenes

but it's a nice place, better than the neighboring Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Indonesia is also lovely... i love Bali.

nindot ishopping sa Thailand, ang imong 1000 magkabiba nakag groceries. they also have very nice beaches in contrast with a superb night life. the temples are worth visiting too. and the malls are massive. for those who love IT, Bangkok hosts the biggest IT center in Asia, the Panthip Plaza, makaluya ang gadgets... you can also see what i call 'Cybermonks' shopping

they are very nice though my boss told me be careful with thais because they can be very tricky. mura daw og snake ba. i have lots of thai friends and they all are very nice. the only problem i had in thailand is the language. pagkalisud i communicate. siguro 85% cant speak and even understand english. i had to learn their language and most often i do the sign language

and it's very ironic because i feel a lot safer in Bangkok than in Manila. When im in Manila, i get paranoid, very watchful. in Bangkok bisan ibilin pa nimo imo goods sa kilid, y molabot. and their shops dont have security guards. congested gani kaayo pero they still managed to keep the place secure. katawa bitaw ko kay naay shop na walay bantay ingon ko sa pinas pa ni hurot nagshop lift.

what i find so good in thailand is that despite the westernization, they still managed to keep their culture. They still have the identity. They opened their doors for tourism but keep the culture.

it has always been my childhood dream to visit Egypt and Greece. Those countries just amaze me so much and i have always been interested with archaeology and ancient structures

nagkalata ang mga pinoy didto Lorenzo. unsaon very talented man. most of them are teachers, singers/perfomers/band members, nurses etc. they excel in almost everything and very competitive because of our grasp for the english language. ako gani, i applied as graphic artist but i was promoted to publication coordinator/editor. lahi ra man gud ato training sa english, written and spoken man. thais cant speak english well, some can speak but cant write and they have difficulty in the sound, they have very strange accent. mao nang mocompete jud ang pinoy even over the westerners. very dedicated sad sa work. the quality controller of the famous Heineken beer in Thailand is even a Filipino. bisan asa ka kita og pinoy, mga sipat ra ba ang uban

i tried roasted spicy ants and one locust leg. that's it! the other is just gross. they said it's crunchy in the outside and soft in the inside...the beetles are...

i took the courage to take that picture in one of the streets coz i find it weird. thais eat just anything. i was telling my friend once that to sort out Africa's problem on locust infestation, they should send some thais there;D

i was shocked when i saw that fire remains at the heart of Tagbilaran still undone. if i just have so much money, i will buy that area and make it really nice. it's an eyesore really. it could have been a very good place for commerce and the like

c'mmon guys, would you rather go through the hassle of landing in Manila straight from where u are now, rather than landing in Bohol straight to your home? let's face it, Bohol is a small island no more, it is the number one tourist destination in the Philippines, we might want to keep it to ourselves but it's a fact, tourists come to check the place out. we have to deal with it. Tubag Bohol is promoting Bohol, that's added advertisement. it's not a question of who's getting rich, but convenience. transpo is one basic thing anyone would want. i used to have that mentality, skeptical but when i was exposed to the busy Bangkok and experience the comfort of such a small Asian country, my sentiment changed.

why not? i think we should give it a shot. progress is a gamble, it has pros and cons. it's good to keep our grounds open. it will open a lot of jobs and opportunities, just like Bangkok. It used to be so tight, now they are opening their portals and Thais are enjoying it and some Filipinos even benefit the opportunities they have there like me. the government just has to lay rules. with or without the airport, let's face it, there would still be vested interest in any venture. let the Boholanos enjoy the International Airport and the stuff attached to it.

life is too short, we should enjoy it.

i was in Thailand for 2 years. i have a very glamorous job. im the publication coordinator/editor of Bangkok Dining and Entertainment and 5 other tourist destination magazines. i work for fun. i do reviews for bars, restaurants, hotels, resorts. so i have no choice but go out very often.

adto sa Bangkok, Thailand kay cheap ilang mga beauty tips ngadto. stars here in Phils go to thailand for laser treatments and everything. they have also perfected the art of sex change. i did an article on cosmetic surgery when i was in Bangkok and i observed 4 hours of sex change surgery...horrible
