a post need not be a response to another post.  your conclusion is self-centeredness in action, if we go by the definition of wikipedia...
#20803
if you are not this, why rant at all?

An idiot in Athenian democracy was someone who was characterized by self-centeredness and concerned almost exclusively with private---as opposed to public---affairs.

Idiocy was the natural state of ignorance into which all persons were born and its opposite, citizenship, was effected through formalized education. In Athenian democracy, idiots were born and citizens were made through education (although citizenship was also largely hereditary).

"Idiot" originally referred to "layman, person lacking professional skill", "person so mentally deficient as to be incapable of ordinary reasoning".

all I need is your prayers guys....

i'm so sorry about how this thread turned out, vots.  this is about you, to begin with.  i'll include you in my prayers.

all i ask of you now is, based on my observations of ofws, and i can assure you of firsthand observations, many have experienced failing more than once in their first tries.  but they eventually succeeded because they never gave up.

your best shot at not going through this bad learning experience again is to check first with the POEA/DOLE whether an agency is duly accredited or not.  it is these fly-by-night agencies that have become nightmares for potential ofws.

you're an engineer, right?  your chances are greater then.  just don't give up, and always take with a guarded suspicion any agency that promises sure employment and asks for money up front.

just because you gave tigbao 20 dollars, you expect him to like your posts?  or that your posts threaten him because he dislikes them?  your spreading virus in this forum is getting worse by the day, balong.  ayaw pagtuo nga mapalit nimo ang loyalty ug tawo.

one day, you might just end up alone here.  and then you shall have succeeded in reducing this forum into that of your own, unvisited, unwanted.  ayaw pagtoo nga si tigbao ray nakahunahuna nga mobiya usa dinhi tungod nimo.

Thank You Father, for delivering me from worry, I thank You Lord for binding every stronghold of the enemy coming against me and casting them out.  I thank You for allowing me to rest in this confidence knowing that You are for me and with me.  And knowing that You are for me and with me I know that there is nothing that I will face today that You can't see me through.  I know that no power is greater than You.  I can rest in Your arms because nothing is strong enough to come against me and succeed. I praise You for this victory, and for complete salvation and safety, and for Your divine peace that floods my soul.

In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

You are in complete control, and You are greater than any fear my mind can conceive.  I cannot change the future, I cannot change human hearts; but my situation can be changed as I bring my concerns before You.  Teach me what it means to be persevering in prayer.  Transform my worry into a rock solid faith that cannot be moved.  When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

i love the Virgin Mary miss islander. i dont want HER to be made fun of. so many religions discredit our Blessed Mother. they do not honor HER. they say SHE is of no account. you have to pray directly to JESUS.
because SHE cannot do anything. this is how other religions see our Mother Mary.

SHE is the Mother of JESUS. You mock HER, you mock JESUS.

hubagbohol would do anything so his fans will adore him. including mocking the Blessed Mother. to show his sharp wit.  profanity is crossing the line. for this he will be punished. i will be the instrument for the punishment.

vengeance is the Lord's, not for mortal men. i am no longer a man.  i have already sold my soul to the devil. i will exact vengeance

may justice be served for all.  lives and careers may be destroyed, but so be it if justice has to take precedence.

meantime, let's hope that such accusations don't end up as a cottage industry.  it is not impossible that some wayward ofws may be backed up by enemies of government officials abroad with the promise of money.  they lose nothing if proven that they have lied through their teeth.  and the media hardly picks up the result of the investigations that may favor the accused government officials.

was there any follow up news item on what happened to that consul general in canada, jose ampeso?  nyet.  found guilty or not, he remains guilty as far as the public is concerned, thanks to the media.

Former intelligence contractor Edward Snowden revealed himself as the leaker of details of U.S. government surveillance programs run by the U.S. National Security Agency to track cell phone calls and monitor the e-mail and Internet traffic of virtually all Americans. Snowden fled to Hong Kong after copying one last set of documents and telling his boss he needed to go away for medical treatment.

John Walker ran a father and son spy ring, passing classified material to the Soviet Union from 1967 to 1985. Walker was a Navy communication specialist with financial difficulties when he walked into the Soviet Embassy and sold a piece of cyphering equipment. Navy and Defense officials said that Walker enabled the Soviet Union to unscramble military communications and pinpoint the location of U.S. submarines at all times. As part of his plea deal, prosecutors promised leniency for Walker's son Michael Walker, a former Navy seaman.

Robert Hanssen pleaded guilty to espionage charges in 2001 in return for the government not seeking the death penalty. Hanssen began spying for the Soviet Union in 1979, three years after going to work for the FBI and prosecutors said he collected $1.4 million for the information he turned over to the Cold War enemy. In 1981, Hanssen's wife caught him with classified documents and convinced him to stop spying, but he started passing secrets to the Soviets again four years later. In 1991, he broke off relations with the KGB, but resumed his espionage career in 1999, this time with the Russian Intelligence Service. He was arrested after making a drop in a Virginia park in 2001.

Aldrich Ames, a 31-year CIA employee, pleaded guilty to espionage charges in 1994 and was sentenced to life in prison. Ames was a CIA case worker who specialized in Soviet intelligence services and had been passing classified information to the KGB since 1985. U.S. intelligence officials believe that information passed along by Ames led to the arrest and execution of Russian officials they had recruited to spy for them.

In 2007, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, was convicted on charges related to the leak of the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame. Libby was convicted of obstruction of justice and perjury in connection with the case. His 30-month sentence was commuted by President George W. Bush. Cheney told a special prosecutor in 2004 that he had no idea who leaked the information.

Members of the Bush administration were accused retaliating against Valerie Plame, pictured, by blowing her cover in 2003 as a U.S. intelligence operative, after her husband, former Ambassador Joe Wilson, wrote a series of New York Times op-eds questioning the basis of certain facts the administration used to make the argument to go to war in Iraq.

Wen Ho Lee was a scientist at the Los Alamos Laboratory in New Mexico who was charged with 59 counts of downloading classified information onto computer tapes and passing it to China. Lee eventually agreed to plead guilty to a single count of mishandling classified information after prosecutors deemed their case to be too weak. He was released after nine months in solitary confinement. Lee later received a $1.6 million in separate settlements with the government and five news agencies after he sued them, accusing the government of leaking damaging information about him to the media.

Jonathan Pollard is a divisive figure in U.S.-Israel relations. The former U.S. Navy intelligence analyst was caught spying for Israel in 1985 and was sentenced in 1987 to life imprisonment. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly called for President Barack Obama to release Pollard after Pollard's wife appealed to Netanyahu.

Military analyst Daniel Ellsberg leaked the 7,000-page Pentagon Papers in 1971. The top-secret documents revealed that senior American leaders, including three presidents, knew the Vietnam War was an unwinnable, tragic quagmire. Further, they showed that the government had lied to Congress and the public about the progress of the war. Ellsberg surrendered to authorities and was charged as a spy. During his trial, the court learned that President Richard Nixon's administration had embarked on a campaign to discredit Ellsberg, illegally wiretapping him and breaking into his psychiatrist's office. All charges against him were dropped. Since then he has lived a relatively quiet life as a respected author and lecturer.

Sharing secrets: U.S. intelligence leaks

Some did it for the money, some did it for idealism, others didn't do it at all. The U.S. has seen a number of high profile leak scandals including the Pentagon Papers during the administration of President Richard Nixon.

In March, authorities in India released a report noting that 56 pilots flying a variety of Indian airlines failed alcohol tests over the last two years. More chilling: a Russian official announced this month that the navigator of a passenger airline that crashed in June, killing 47 people, was drunk.

:( even the skies aren't safe from alcohol.

None of this is really amusing. Alcohol-related incidents can delay or divert flights, which cost us all time and cost the airlines mega-bucks. It can cost much more, too, depending on who is doing the drinking.

More chilling: a Russian official announced this month that the navigator of a passenger airline that crashed in June, killing 47 people, was drunk.

Over-indulging passengers are not always mere annoyances, either. A 32-year-old Arizona businessman who'd reportedly been drinking before and during his British Airways flight in August allegedly brandished a shard of glass, made threats against the crew and has since been sentenced to jail.

I could go on and on, but you get it. Drinking too much makes some people do stupid things. And these days, the whole world is watching via social media.

This is nothing new. A former pro wrestler recalled (rather hazily) a 1997 flight in which he blacked out from booze and woke up in a jail cell in Anchorage, Alaska. The charge: urinating on a flight attendant. We understand he has since conquered his demons.

It's enough to make one nostalgic for "bad passengers" of yesteryear, like the inebriated woman who, when she was cut off by United flight attendants, started in on the lavatory's supply of hand-sanitizer (yes, some of these products contain alcohol). But at least there was no mess in the aisle.

Speaking of which, I have to take issue with Esquire's article, How to Drink on an Airplane, which states, "The window seat is the preferred drinking seat." I think the rest of us prefer to see drinking passengers on the aisle, as close to the lavatories as possible.
