I was just asking how long was he gone, when he was the vice governor at that time? Good that the government paid for it.

Quote from: trademark on April 22, 2010, 03:01:09 PMhehehe whatever I say is not that of chatto, wala man koy labot niya...I just choose him as my candidate for obvious reasons...When I talk about Gloria I love her of course, she's my kumander in chief...but she still a segurista...siguro due to her economics background...mao nay gitawag ug hedging...you know pag-adto niya sa middle east for noi apparent reason...niapas si Villar ug nagkita sila somewhere in Spain to talk about these things...Villaroyo is a fact, I am for Gibo coz like my governatorial candidate he is the most qualified...and is a tried performer...I go for these kind of people...
Ayaw pod dauta si Gloria , kay bisan unsaon nimo , mao nay party nga gisuportahan ni Chatto. Kon dili ganahan si Chatto ni Gloria, unsa man iyang tig puyo? He should be open nga dili siya gusto ni Gloria. As I've said si Aumentado ra jud ang mi associate ni Gloria bisan unsa pa ang controversies nga iyang naapilan. Nya, sila si Chatto kon humot moduol? Kon baho, mao ra poy mounay ug ingon nga baho?

It's as funny how Yap came unopposed . No questions asked. Basin kon mag kontra na sila ni Chatto, big deal na na? All this time when Herrera was elected as mayor and 3 term vice-gov of Bohol, this came as an issue? What happened then?

The award that Chatto recieved was in recognition for his being a performer in the service to his people - us the Boholanos
NATIONAL CENTENNIAL LINGKOD BAYAN AWARDEE FOR OUTSTANDING WORK PERFORMANCE awarded by the CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION (CSC), in 2000
The award was given during Chatto's second term, he was the only Vice Governor given this distinction...and together with the award was a salary grade increase making him the only Vice Governor to recieve a salary higher than that of a Governor...bringing honor and distinction to the Province...
Now the question, could anyone beat that? Chatto should be our Governor...VOTE WISELY...VOTE for a performer with proven credentials...

Quote from: ms.vain on April 21, 2010, 08:19:39 PMI think you're speaking from ignorance ms.vain...you should do some research to find out...some posts under the "political and social trends" clearly shows the accomplishments of chatto from roads, public buildings and programs for the baranggays, disabled, tanods etc. etc. Herrera's actually pales in comparison...since most of herrera's programs were renamed programs initiated by chatto, while he was a performing vice governor...the only real program herrera could call his own was the establishment of a mediocre committee secretariat ...

In the meantime, and while Chatto and his group yet feel it is most necessary at this time to familiarize the people with their programs of government, truths can wait to come from behind the cases of anomalies involving certain big projects in Bohol. These include the following:
1) Bayongan Dam---The most expensive dam ever built on Earth. According to then NEDA Director General Romulo Neri, the dam is the most expensive dam ever built in the world that caused the government to lose more than P3.6 billion
Aumentado defended the project. The late Press Sec. Cerge Remonde had then claimed that the governor had made several follow-ups and guarded the issuance of checks. Aumentado had sought Remonde’s assistance.
2) P165 million Talibon Dam---The Boholanos Against Corruption and Oppression led by architect Bobby Cericos, engineer Nilo Sarigumba and lawyer Timmy Cabatos had raised this issue to the Ombudsman.
3) Malinao Dam Spilllway---The dam falls short of its original spillway height by two meters, causing the government to lose P1.4 billion. This is aside from another amount about to be loaned for the upgrading works costing P800 million.
4) The Bohol Circumferential Road Improvement Project (BCRIP), roads constructed by contractor RSD, and other road projects---Aumentado owes the Boholanos many explanations for the many substandard parts of BCRIP which were reworked (back jobs) when the budget of the project almost doubled the locally-funded projects.
Favorite big-time contractors Hanjin, CM Pancho, China and Gorones ought to follow international standard.
Local road projects which were implemented by other favorite contractor such as the RSD had work quality lesser than substandard. Cracks were everywhere from Dagohoy to Trinidad.
There was apparent waste of public money. Instead of demanding from the contractor to redo the bad works, Aumentado had secured additional budget for the asphalt overlay of the substandard project with reported overprice. In cases as this, contractors could pocket government money twice.

may pagkatinuod gamay ang point ani, pero di tanto (morag half-virgin, if there's such a thing.)

I have opinion as an outsider looking from the inside of everything going on here.....
*Vote for someone who is calm in stressful situations.
*Vote for someone who has a very approachable public side to him.
*Vote for someone who is involved with plenty of charity works from his own pocket's in helping out poor Boholanos.
*Vote for those who do not blame their problems on others.
*Vote on those with fewer bodyguards to me mean it means that the one being protected by many bodyguards has made a lot of people mad in wrong doings against others.
*Vote for those who are willing to see enterprises spring up regardless of biases. Keep in mind less business means fewer jobs and less money and livelihood in the area.
*Vote for a candidate not from out of desperation of wanting to be given money for votes. Vote from the brain and the heart for pleasant and more reasonable and rationale candidate to help make the Philippines a more better place to be in.
*Vote for a candidate that does not put others down as a public leader.
*Vote smart and live smart......GOOD LUCK!!!
Quote from: Anna&Jorge on April 16, 2010, 11:02:44 PMNAY JUY PROBLEMA ANG CASUALS...you see they are not even considered as government employees, but are hired by the government just the same, under the COA having been hired as contractuals does not qualify them to be government employees...I think COA should do something about this classification so that in the future...dili na sila magamit for campaigning...ang casuals gud are hired in a padrino system..as elected officials use this hiring system to pay back political debts...there are some people who would do everything...for the promise nga mahimong casual pohon...a sad reality tungod sa daghan nga mga hinungdan,..its complicated...hehehe...the educational system nato may be faulted for training graduates to be employees...ang ato direction is not for self-employment...the economy on the other hand can not simply absorb thousands of graduates who are churned out by the system...and other reasons...kaning mga casuals usually are college graduates, nga walay mapa-ingnan as their skills are barely able to meet the needs of business...nga ang pangitaon experience...mag-pacasual na lang aron maka-experience...ug daghan pang hinungdan...
using casuals, contractuals and regular employees during election time is an open secret... i can attest to that having been one of them before.....
Quote from: trademark on April 15, 2010, 10:10:50 PMI could post a litany of things that affect the masses...one example is the Maternity clinic which has helped a lot of people...mostly those that could not afford private hospitals...another is the building for the dis-abled (now they call differently abled)...which has given the blind a base for their massage livelihood...daghan pa worth mentioning...voters simply need to be open to the facts, public markets, farm to market roads etc..and the conversion of provincial to national roads, which in effect saves the provincial gov't the cost of maintaining these roads, bridges etc...ug daghan pa...
Everything is planned. Nothing is done out of sincerity but actions are calculated. Made sure everything is recorded for the purpose of records. Projects that are just just projects but are not directly significant to make a big difference. It is just but a plain list of things done ( supposedly) with no solid effect on the ground!
