Hello Gem!  Naa diay subdivision silang Nong Ben Udtuhan diha sa Uptown?  Kanang Marietta, if I'm not mistaken is the name of his wife.  Silingan man akong Lolo ug Lola sa Funeraria Gomez sa una mga bata pa mi busa kaila ko ana nila but I don't think kaila na sila nako.

definitely dili na Taloto ug Manga imong gina refer na lugar na magutman during fiesta kay hangtud karon, daghan kaayo mi'g bisita na di namo kaila.  Sahay dalhon pa gani plato aron sudlan ug "bring house" but ok ra.  Welcome tanan sa amo bisan dili kaila. 

I thought LA was one of the top dangerous place in America!  Even here in Sacramento, naa may mga gang-related na mga activities na very absurd na kaayo.  Couple of months ago, a young father was shot to death then the killer went to the baby boy (7 month-old) in the car and shot him too.  It looked like unprovoked and yet later mura'g na trace na naay past connection tong father sa mga gangs. 

Absolutely right, Maring!  All we got to do is just to count our blessings and for sure we have more than our little trials!  Believe me, some of our trials will turn out to be blessings some day.

Salamat, Gem!  Sa Salmon sanctuary man na dapit sa American river.  Buotan bitaw na akong bana, kon matulog hehehe.  Bitaw oi, but-n na sya.  I can't ask for more, except money hehehehe.  Joke lang, dili kabayran money ang kabuotan sa atong bana oi!

Just like Ms. C2, I also had fond memories with my paternal great grandmother (Lola Pinay) and great grandaunts (Memang Sisay and Papay Lemun! They share one big, old house in Taloto. They each had roles in the household.  Lola Pinay, being the eldest of the 3 sisters, was the head of the family but Memang was the provider and the budget officer while Papay was the worker in the house.  They were so beautiful ladies! Whenever we don't have rice or corn to eat, we would go to Taloto and even without saying a word, Lola Pinay, would sneak out a bag of rice for us to take home but always, whenever they see us, they would ask if we have eaten.  Even if we say yes, they would still direct us to the kitchen for tinughong.

Next chapter na naman the story for my maternal and paternal grandparents!

Strange, I just talked to smiffy and told her I really like Sbarro pizza and garlic bread coz the dough is so tasty!  Yesterday, I went to Macy's to buy something (you know what, ms c2 *wink*) with my sister.  I had a big Jamba Juice of Macha Green Tea so I wasn't planning on having lunch anymore.  My sister was hungry so we went to Sbarro.  She bought me a slice (a big one!) of ham and pineapple pizza.  I didn't want to eat but it was so good I ate the whole slice plus a part of her garlic bread!

After a pause of an hour or so, and being a woman of honor as I promised to post a picture once Ms. C2 does, here we are!  Ayaw mo'g kakurat sa among dagway hahahaha

Ms. C2, ok ra to at least you tried tapos kabalo na dayon ka what to do the next time.  If dili pa jud mamao the next time, try again.  It's safe to make as much sauce as you can dayon pagbutang nimo sa pasta, tan awa lang na dili ma upawan ang imong sauce.  I know you can do it ra jud because you knew what it should be like.

Fennel bulb looks like celery except na murag wider ang bases sa bulb sa fennel. 

Keep trying and you'll perfect that soon!

You are welcome, Ms. Bambi!  It's a lemon cake with lemon custard filling.  I had quite of a story with this lemon cake.  A dear old man from across the street, asked me late last year if I could make him a lemon cake for his 75th birthday.  I know I am maldita but there's one thing I can not do in my life: to disappoint old people and kids.  (Naa ta sa in between diha heheheh).  So, I found a way to make him the yummiest lemon cake I could possibly do within my little cooking power.  I brought it to him and we had party in his house.  When it was time to slice his birthday cake, he got a forkful and he closed his eyes and he said, this is lemon cake!  That surely made my day!  He died of cancer in mid September so from then on I named my lemon cake, Mr. Ball's lemon cake.  That's the story of my lemon cake.  So OT but sorry guys!  Got to share that!
