I have such a soft heart. I melt at the sound of 'please' especially if it's from someone sweet like Julai. Hahaha!

Is it alright to hyperventilate... 'please' ?

According to Mr. Admin, you are the organizer! You, my GEC, is as wicked as Mike.  :P

I broached the idea, Mr. Admin approved it -- without thinking (he said) ;P

I said I still need a moment to prepare the mechanics (while watching Transformers the movie) but, hey, the event took a life of its own (yehey!).

Everyone got so excited (which is a good thing), nominations were made for contestants and judges... and before I knew it... KABLAM! Photos galore, mannn! Yeah! One of the best bits in my life happened right before my computer screen! As in... WOWWW !!! this is life, dude! ;D

GEC, Macky has volunteered to be one of the board of judges.

Where are the girls? They are not interested in a virtual Ms Bohol Sandugo?

Hmmm, Mike I've been thinking...

Kay Miss Tubag Bohol man ni, tingali ang criteria will include:

1. kinsa sa atong mga ladies ang pinakadaghan og matubag o ma post within, let's say.... 15 minutes...

2. kinsa ang makapost ug mga lami jud nga pictures about Bohol and on this aspect we could vote on line...

3. Ug uban pa nga atong mahuna-hunaan.

Whatya think, brader?

The Apostle Paul said: "Bad company corrupts good character." :)

Very true. So when the good man's character has been corrupted by his bad company... and granting they develop friendship btween them, the strength of this kind of friendship (within the context of corrupt acts) would be the same in terms of strength as that of the friendship of good men.

But evil men shun the light of day as their acts will be laid bare for all to see; they embrace the dying of the light where the evil that these men do will be done under the cover of darkness; and successful accomplishments strengthens the bond of friendship.

So I do not share the view of Bhartrihari. For me, friendship, whether between good men and between evil men has no difference at all.

Showbiz & Celebrity / The Bourne Ultimatum
July 01, 2007, 09:31:49 PM
Just saw today the movie trailer of The Bourne Ultimatum, the last of the trilogy of Robert Ludlum's Bourne Identity.

I've read all three novels: The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum; and I've seen the movie versions done so far (starring Richard Chamberlain for Identity; and Matt Damon for the new movie versions).

I can say that the movie version starring Chamberlain was 95% faithful to the book. I couldn't say the same for the versions starring Damon -- but the production did brush up the story and made them more current.

But if you ask me which gave me more thrills--the book or the movie? I'd answer the book, hands down.

Showbiz & Celebrity / Re: Transformers The Movie
July 01, 2007, 09:17:34 PM
Awesome edge-of-the-seat galloping action!

I've just watched Transformers The Movie (2007) and the way they designed transformation sequence just took my breath away... sassier than the cartoon counterpart way back in the mid 80's.

This is also the first time I saw Optimus Prime's mouth.

A fun movie to watch, I also got bitten by nostalgia of my wonderyears.

I also recalled the first Transformers The Movie (1986) which saw Optimus Prime passing the globe of leadership (called the "matrix" long before Keanu Reeve's "Matrix") to Ultra Magnus and then to Hot Rod who became Rodimus Prime to the tune of Van Halen's "You've Got the Touch".

#1738
I also nominate Hazel, and Elizabeth

PreciousPolite could also be one of the judges
#1740
Good!!!

Now seriously, because this is a gargantuan task, I will think about the guidelines while I watch Transformers the movie (he, he, he).

When I get back, I'm sure the rest of the guys out here shall have already posted their brilliant ideas.

This will be a group effort, Mike...  ROCK ON!!!!

I like the story, Macky. It makes me hungry for biko. :)

Speaking of which, what Macky and I are discussing, Ghost, is still related to the topic about Yoyoy, as lumine correctly observed...

It's like this:

Accordingly, Yoyoy didn't receive the kind of honor he received because early in his career he concealed the fact he was Boholano.

Somehow, there are Bohol-born Boholanos who are like Yoyoy then that now when they are in another country they are embarassed about their Bohol roots.

On the otherhand, there are foreign-born Boholanos who are mighty proud of their Boholano origin and declare this even with a foreign twang.

And here is this Macky's story of American who asked for a "bhikow" thinking every Boholano meal ends up with this sweet glutinous mixture as desert.

And biko being sticky still sticks seamlessly to the subject on Yoyoy.

(Hangak....  need to catch my breath) ;D

Higalang Ghost,

First of all, this web site is all about friendship & brotherhood, even if our opinion differs... I really appreciate your attitude of standing for Bohol, no matter what...

To my fellow Boholanos, such kind of people are meant to be valued. Like our brothers who were born in the states, they hardly speak Boholano dialect, but if you ask them from where you are, they will proudly answer "Taga Bohol", bisan slang ang pagka sulti. I met several Boholanos who were born in Manila who does'nt speak any visayan language at all, but when I asked them, they loudly replied "taga Bohol man bay".  :)

Say it like this, Macky:

"Thagah Bow-hole khow"

American twang from a sincere Bol-anon heart

Chin's long absence in Tubag Bohol is due to her deep contemplation between accepting or rejecting a 6-digit monthly pay. If you miss her so like I do, my GEC, visit her @ http://nevergirl.wordpress.com or visit her previous home @ www.nevergirl.i.ph. I've more sites of her but I've no authority to post them here. So for now, settle with the two. Have fun reading her like I do. I'm Chin's number one fan.

hahaha, that way too crass! and, i even think that people who are so into each other need to ask anymore. anyway, my point is, there is nothing wrong with exes being friends. and, if both are unattached, and if there is no deception on both parties regarding on circumstances and or outcome, and if it is mutually consented, why is it not okay for exes to be even more than friends?
as to "hadlok na ug manumbalik ang kagahapon", i mean if one is really over the ex, and if one is happy with one's current partner, then there is no "kagahapon na manumbalik". there will only be a panunumbalik IF one is not over the ex and then gets with another person on a rebound. and granting that even no matter how much one is happy with the current relationship, that one is totally over the ex, yet, there is still than slight tinge of panunumbalik, then it is up to the person tp rein oneself in. therefore, the "wrongness" or "rightness" of being friends with the ex isn't contingent of the actual act of being friends BUT on the person involve.
am i making myself incomprehensible again because i am confused myself! hahaha
but, then again, that's just my point of view. and rose knows perfectly well why my stand is such.right rose?

Mike and My !!!
Writing seems to me like Brahm's Hungarian Dance No. 5. There should be texture don't you agree? Hard then soft. Slow then fast. Rough then smooth. Fortesimo then pianisimo. Flowing like the stream then rhythmic like the falling rain.

A burst from the heart then a glow from the mind....
Jovial and spontaneous then deliberate after a quiet moment of consideration.

Naay cure ani, GEC. The NTC Philippines has drafted a memorandum that will tax Philippine websites. Wala na seguro laing source sa korakot, mga website na ang pahimungtan.

Then I will be sending money to the Philippines to pay for Tubag Bohol taxes?

Taga NTC, wa mo malipong???

Mike, good thing that Tubag Bohol is not a Philippine website so it is beyond the reach of the NTC.

Tubag Bohol is a website in the country called "mikeligalig" see: www.tubagbohol.mikeligalig.com"

There is no dot ph, Mike.  Hooray!!!

Maayo ni e-forward sa letter to the editor sa Sunday Post. Something to challenge the opinion of columnists. I'm sure ganahan pud mga columnista niini kay it shows their opinion has touched a nerve, or at least naay epekto.

Hey Mike,

My post above is my 201st. When will I get to become a Senior Member, huh?

I'm not buying the reason for the cancellation of Bohol Miss Sangugo 2007. I'm not really keen myself on watching beauty pageants but canceling the event due to lack of preparation is just not right. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Anyway... that will be savings for the local government and the money can be better put to good use.... like.... buying more anti rabbies vaccines.

Arf, arf, Awooooo!!!

They better hurry up! I've just been bitten!
Now I'm rabid! A rabid user of Tubag Bohol!

Introduce Yourself / The person behind the username
June 26, 2007, 06:36:33 PM
There is nothing mysterious about us.

We may have concealed our true identities behind the mask of a username.

But knowingly, or unknowingly, we shed off layer after layer of that mask by every word we type on the message board.

You want us to tell you about ourselves? We are already doing it... right here, right now.

We are what we write.

Tubag Bohol rocks!

Why should we be surprised when it seemed as if there is no environmental group in Cebu?
Cebu has been an industrialized province since the time I became conscious of my existence.
They don't care about the environment. According to Atty. Tony Oposa, a Cebuano himself, not only did the Cebuanos cut down their trees, they peeled off the greeneries of their mountains.

Why should they care now?
