A curious college physics student places a row boat in a swimming pool, loads the boat with a number of bricks, and rows to the center of the pool. Once there, the student carefully notes the water level, throws the bricks into the swimming pool and once again notes the water level. Eureka !! the student exclaims, I was right. What had happened to the water level in the pool?
A. Nothing, the water level did not change.
B. The water level increased due to the bricks thrown into the pool.
C. The water level became lower.
D. I can't swim, and don't even like water (or bricks).

Your story made me recollect a conversation I had with my dad.
LoL, related jud to your story.
Dad told me and my sister the story of the first time he saw my mom kono, it was in a Jose Rizal class that they both took back in college. Partners man kono sila sa ilang class. Ingoon ahong dad the first time he saw my mom na kuyawan kono siya kai puti kono kaayo ang li-og ug ang lawas ni mommy. 'Guapang intchik' kono, lol. From that moment on kono, no other woman mattered, he selected my mom as the mother of his kids kono. Of course pa hard to get pood ahong mom, pero eventually ning give in siya sa ahong dad, lol. Haha, they've been together for almost 29 years na, and 4 children came out, lol.
Na lingaw ko sa imung story kai it reminds me of what my dad said. lol.
Tinuud jud na when men select a woman for 'motherly' purposes. Kai life-long jud na.
Quote from: Lorenzo on March 13, 2008, 02:52:23 PM
haha, Beth, that is the difference between men and women.
Some men are very serious when it comes to the woman that they 'select' to be the vessel of their offspring. We men usually select women of optimum genetic, and physical quality
Beth, that means that you must be a 'top' candidate diay kai Mr. Casanova selected you.
Luuy pood si Mr. Casanova kai wa na dajun iyang gi select, hahaha *joke*

Do you know how much you made me smile this week? I lay your card and your postcards in my work desk, I posted them on the walls of my desk, ang inspiration for me ba, lol. Ning ask ahong ahong work mates ug ahong professor if I visited these places kono, ingoon ko nila, wa pa lagi.

All i know is it's full of fiber and good for beri-beri
Ms Beth, sayop. Dili siya maka arthritis pero kung taas na daan imong uric acid. Maka trigger siya (that's what the doctor said) Ako kay taas naman ko ako uric daan so I have to avoid. Na noticed pud naku nga every time mokaon ko ug pistachio nuts and monggos, mag sakit gyud akong joints sa kamot.

Corella is an interior town northeast of Tagbilaran. It is said to be formerly called Nug-as. This municipality used to belong to the municipality of Baclayon, being a barrio of that town. When it was organized as a regular municipality in 1884, it was named Corella.

When i moved to Bohol manga 6 years ago gas in America was once upon a time at a $1.53 per gallon.
My car ia a Ford Windstar V6 but it travles well now it is at the farm at moms collecting molds and wasps nests and what nots the whole time I have been here.
She may not start up right away when I do get back home and her tires might blow if I dare to roll her about one quarte inch! but she is my dreamy white and creamy looking marshmallow luxury Van back in her day! TOINKS!
I can still remember when the gas raises to 1.53, I almost cried!

My friend just gone one; apparently it can get about 40+ miles to the gallon in the highway; and when you use the electric power, can get over 50+.
This is amazing.

Then who do you think would replace her?
I don't care anymore.
It is the duty of the comelec to conduct a snap presidential election ASAP in order to save our country from further plunging below the ground.
It is irresponsibility from the part of the comelec chairman to keep silent if this is the only solution to this crisis.
The only solution I believe is the coordination between the comelec and the military to conduct a national election. If the elected president will come from the military, then it would be better. He should be disciplined and besides, we have lots of things to do which is possible only by a solid military leadership like acquiring back Sabah Malaysia by force (WAR) and second, we have to drive back the Chinese out of Spratlys Islands. We have to secure our borders, our sovereignty. Military supremacy is what makes a country.
If that happens I will re-activate my rank and volunteer.
War is allowed by God.

B) I think times have changed, I was here during the elections and being a foreigner it has been very fine so far.
I am also in media here and I was not scared of the election one time but before do to apprehension and persons filling my head with garbage i was indeed scared.
I have not exsperienced any bad election periods in Bohol so far.
If i am home in the states and i will see a news article involving danger over here my mind gets all worked up for nothing really.
When I get here despite what are the bad things going on there is always ways to avoid what it is you do not want to be associated with as far as dangers are concerned.
I have ben here a long time, and I am use to the nice people here and their ways and vigilant around those who come acros as a bit stranger then normal.
B:) Just come home relax and enjoy visiting with your family and just be cautious always.
I hope to see you here or any of you here and would hope for a chance to say hello to you in person.

That is a good idea Lindy. Why not the city provide for these people a selling facility where they can do business and promote their handicrafts. I believe it will be filled with tourists who are curious of local products. The mere sound of people doing auction and haggling is enough to attract the hungry cameras of tourists (it would be a prize photograph just like RV's carbon market).

Beth, you're so right. Specially about having some kind of knowledge about the material first before joining a study group. I can't stress the importance of study groups tho, they're a great shoulder to lean on when you're stressed.
Plus, its very motivating pood to be around fellow peers, seeing that they are stressed as you are, hungry in the middle of the night studying with you, laughing at jokes, killing questions, until the night before the exam, you guys stay up till 3:40 AM and call it quits because of overloading, hahaha. Good times. Good times.
The massage helps during that point; it helps relax the mind and think of something else besides the subject.
OT: Beth, what are you studying right now?

Yehey! Naa na pod ko order! Sige, Beth! Thanks a lot! Are you gonna have a get-together party with the whole family on Easter Sunday?
Quote from: Lorenzo on March 07, 2008, 02:27:30 PM
I study best in groups. Usually because whenever I teach a lesson to people, the teaching enforces the information. I recommend studying by yourself first, say probably 2 weeks before an exam. Review by yourself for a week of hard studying (4-5 hours a day; this is what I do). After a week of silent review, organize a study group; say about 3-4 people, not too much because too much can cause distraction, diversion to the purpose of the study.
When you're in a study group, entice members with questions, review the 'overall' summary of a lesson. Why things happen, where, how, what are the specifics. Help answer questions, as well as ask questions if you're unsure about things. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Believe me, you'll be surprised how you will find something out that you never knew.
The last month, I had an exam for Human Physiology, I tried studying only by myself, and I scored a 86%. On the second exam, I joined a study group and everything was clear. I scored over 10 points higher on the 2nd exam as a result. Had the highest score on the 2nd exam.
Like I said, you learn from your mistakes. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
