Agila, I am from Manga District.  If I am not mistaken, his mother was one of the teacher's of Manga Elementary School.  She was kind of fair skinned like mestiza.  They used to live hear Buwangan.  I was in a party last Christmas and I met a guy who knew some people in Manga.  Then he said he knew Fulton Cervantes.  I can remember that because I think classmate pod na sya sa akong sister.  His elder sister was my elder sister's classmate too.  That guy I met at the party said naa na sila sa Los Angeles.  I asked for their number kay ako laging ihatag unta sa akong elder sister who is also based in LA but wala pa man gitawag sa ako coz he said naa daw sa iyang phonebook sa balay nya.  I will let you know if I heard from that guy again.  And if you happen to get in touch na with Fulton, plz ask for the telephone number of their eldest sister kay interested akong Manang makig communicate balik niya.  Thanks a lot!

Salamat, Macks for sharing the pictures of your parents, dog and the three lonely mangoes!  It really warms my heart to see two older couple/parents who are still enjoying life together.  Your Papa looks like fun/cool and your Mama is, well, a strict and yet loving teacher.  They look so physically fit too.  I like the best the picture  with the caption, "Papa and Mama relaxing".  They really looked relax plus the sight of their dog added to the relaxing ambiance.  Again, thanks for sharing your family to us.

Since we are in this thread - personal kryptonite, I have lots of it but one fitting for our situation in the family right now is that I just don't mourn for myself but I also mourn for the mournings of my family.  I wish I can shield them from mourning the loss of a dear member of our family.  I guess that's impossible.  When my Uncle was brought back yesterday from Funeraria Gomez in a casket to lie in state in our small living room, I wish my Mom couldn't see it so she wouldn't feel the pain.  But thanks God, Mom was just ok though her BP shoot up.  She is gonna be fine.  There were lots of people, family and friends to comfort her too.  I was watching them thru webcam.

I know. It was doubly difficult for my mother having to remember the death of both her daughter and brother in one day.

I had a bowl of salad tonight with my new favorite salad dressing I bought from Whole Foods - Fresh organic Miso Dressing.  I felt bad because I justified my depression by eating the whole box of ube hopia that Gemma sent to me.  It was so good though.

Thanks a lot, Anj!  Yesterday when Manoy Pael died - Jan. 21 Phil. time, it was also the death anniversary of my baby sister who died in a vehicular accident when she was about to turn 10, 19 years ago.

We didn't really propose like it was just agreed in theory that we were getting married.  No fancy ring to prove how true his promise was, just the pure intention of staying together for all our lives.  Well, I only got engagement ring when we bought the wedding ring kay set man so ok lang gihapon but it didn't matter to me if I only got "nito" na ring or sujapo.  What is important is the intent to love each other for the rest of our lives, through thick and thin, in sickness and in health...

Salamat jud kaayo, Dong!  I know what you are saying.  Your Ate Belle talked about that too earlier but I guess it's selfishness that I dwell on this pain kay I couldn't see him anymore man gud and I miss him so.  I tried to do the best I can by sending him to the hospital so he can live longer so we still can see each other soon but Manoy Pael was called already back in God's Kingdom.  I will reflect on what you said and hopefully I will find peace knowing Manoy Pael will never suffer asthma attack anymore.  God bless your heart, Dong!

Thanks a lot, Macks!  He didn't come the house with just a bag of bread but a basket of fish and shrimps for our sud-an.  He was a fisherman and he really helped us when we were growing up.  he loved my mother dearly and us her kids.  He was so proud of us.

I am still coordinating with my sisters para sa pagpa embalsama but sa among balay ang haya kay naa naman sya ga puyo sa amo.  Yes, Lumine and Baby Matt are going home.  Manoy Pael had two other brothers in Baroy and Conat na mopauli pod and so are my sister in Davao and brother in Conat.

My Uncle, we endearingly call him Manoy Pael, died about 9:30 p.m. Philippine time.  He was my mother's elder brother.  We had him live with my family so he can be taken cared of after he was so sick two years ago.  Last year, he was also in the hospital due to severe asthma attack and then some.  He recovered well until the other day when he was having breathing problem again.  He refused to be brought to the hospital and tonight, he passed away. 

I asked for your prayer for the eternal repose of the soul of Manoy Pael.

Manoy Pael, may you rest in peace in heaven...

I heard about your unfortunate experience during your vacation in 2005.  I got scared just listening to your Mom's story but thanks God you got well and now you are a healty, smart kid!  I am so, so happy too that you and your Mom and Dad were able to have a vacation together this year.  I heard it wasn't exactly perfect with one scary incident while you were in San Miguel but other than that I heard it was a good one.  I particularly like the idea that you were able to bond with our Tubag Bohol friends and that you were able to give joy to the kids in the orphanage!  I was so proud to see you in those pictures lovingly handing out gifts to the orphans.
