from fellow filipinos? di ko mahibung. ambot bitaw. di tanan, pero nakamatikod ko sa gawas. imbis magtambayayong ta, magbitaranay hinoon. sometimes, until tragedy strikes, kay anhi ra ta magkahiusa, at least for a while. sige lang. in my experience, i ended up with more meaningful friendships than rabid enemies. there is hope. so chin up!
good thing i dont have any filipino friends in my area and the three filipinos here (one kindergarten teacher, 2 in a band) are people that i would rather stay away from ....

Hehehe! how cute! My lolo mariano took my lola and lola's 3 other siblings back to China (sa guangdong) in the 1930s. They lived there for almost 5 years daw. Ning balik sila tanan sa Bohol because ang asawa ni Lolo Mariano, ahoang great grandmother gimingaw sa Valencia. That is why , in the words of Dr. Plinio Lim, a former mayor of Valencia and a good friend of my grand mother, "When your Lola Nating came back to Valencia, she did not even know how to speak in Bisaya. Only Chinese. Nag ininchik to siya duro, doy!"
hehehe!

Mao ba? He he he, i can't help but smile at the situation, Anna. Some 100 years ago, my Lolo Mariano left Guangdong, China for the Philippines in the search for a better future in Bohol. 100 some years later, Bai Bugsay left Bohol for Guangdong, China.
