when i was in 4th year HS, my friend wanted to introduce me to a wonderful guy BUT i said No, thank you... i should have said Yes and my life would have been perfect without experiencing being broken hearted for at least 3 times... 4 years after, i was finally introduced to him and he is now my husband!

I just finished reading the autobiography of Dr. Dino Torrefranca and i find it remarkable. His achievements are beyond compare. I really appreciate his capabilities and intellectual abilities wherein it encourages me to strive hard so that I can be at par among others. However, there is one thing difference between me and Dr. Torrefranca, he hails from an elite family considering his father is a retired judge by profession.
My father is an ordinary farmer tilling the small parcel of land owned by my uncle in Carmen, Bohol and my mother is a launderer.

Quote from: Lorenzo on June 05, 2010, 10:08:43 PM
When I was searching to become a priest during college, my spiritual director, Fr. Mark Hofman said to me, "Search yourself, sit a while, in silence and ask what do you want to do with your life. Do you feel called to make a difference in the spiritual life, or do you want to do so in the secular? You must discern, Al."
Everything else, in my personal life experience, is a product of that life decision. Making a difference is based on choices, many of which are set before us by Providence and by circumstance.
So i invite everyone to make that choice. Make a difference. In the end, i find that there is holiness in the secular life. Because we are all, the priestly and the laity, called to live a good life. Not only for our own selves, but for those around us who share in the same Body.
PS. Wolf, this is a truly discerning piece you posted. It touches me to the core.

Hi everyone,
Im making a video about Bohol to be submitted to the Department of Tourism.
Im thinking of putting Bohol music as my background, i heard one kasi like
'Hoy mga turista ari na sa Bohol! kaming mga Bol-anon..."
do you have MP3 of this or anything that I can use for the video. I have the cd of Loboc choir, hope i could use some that are applicable.
you know currently, Bohol is number 9 in the list of DOT's tourist destination. So in my own little way, im trying to
push it to be number one through online video ad (Cebu is currently number 1) and I believe we can do it.
Hope for your reply. The video is due next week. Daghang salamat!

Manila Bulletin
With some 10 million Filipino overseas workers, mostly in the US, remitting US$17 billion in the Philippines annually, GCash, Globe Telecom Inc.’s micro payment service, partnered with PayPal to allow American users to transfer funds to the Philippines using their mobile phones with the speed and cost of a text message.
Already, worldwide remittance levels reached US$316 billion in 2009 and are expected to increase at 6.2% in 2010 and 7.1% in 2011, according to the World Bank’s Migration and Development Report.
“By using PayPal, we can lower the cost of domestic and international remittances through Globe’s mobile network, which has increasing presence on the internet,†explained Rizza Maniego-Eala, President of G-Xchange, Inc. Furthermore, “The PayPal platform expands our capability and reach to the US.â€
“PayPal’s value proposition is to offer consumers a safer, easier, and more convenient way to pay online,†added Farhad Irani, Vice President of PayPal Asia Pacific. “GCash integrated PayPal into their offering to allow people in the US to send money with ease and convenience to friends and families in the Philippines.â€
For money transfers via the GCASH Online website, PayPal account holders in the US only have to enter the recipient’s GCASH registered Globe or TM number in the Philippines and the amount they wish to send. They will then be directed to their PayPal account to review and confirm their transaction.
Once done, recipients in the Philippines will be notified through a text message on their mobile phone. The funds will automatically be credited to the GCASH wallet of the receiving party who has the option to cash out the amount at any of the 18,000 GCASH outlets nationwide or to use the funds to buy load, pay for their bills or make purchases from online or retail merchants.

Wolfie, interesting kaayo ang experiment sa Bonn University. Simple lang kaayo.
In an apartment , the plants were attached to a cable which in turn is monitored ( it showed a normal frequency), then came the plant owner and greeted them "hello!", in the monitor they saw rise of the cycle proving the plants are excited to feel or hear the owner. I think it is like a dog seeing the master and starts to wag the tail as a sign of excitement.
