But since 2006, Lewinsky has kept an extremely low profile. She stayed in London for a while job searching, and she was seen in New York with friends in 2009.

Hutson no longer represents Lewinsky, but she promised to forward on our request for comment.

In 2012, however, reports surfaced of a $12 million book deal. If they're true, Lewinsky's life in the shadows might come to an end.

According to the New York Post, she was shopping a juicy, tell-all book proposal around to publishers.

If such a book were released soon, before 2016, it could be the second time Lewinsky has a major political impact on the Clintons.

She was a spokesperson for Jenny Craig in 1999, according to IMDb, and worked as an American culture reporter for British Channel 5.

She launched a handbag design line and then hosted a reality television program in 2003 called "Mr. Personality."

In the years following her White House internship, she made herself available for media interviews, including with Time magazine and Barbara Walters.

But in 2005, she switched gears completely. She moved to London, where she attended the London School of Economics and graduated with a master's degree in social psychology. Her thesis was titled "In Search of the Impartial Juror: An exploration of the third person effect and pretrial publicity."

Her publicist at the time, Barbara Hutson, said that "the audience of students and parents erupted in spontaneous applause. ... It was a very emotional moment for her."

Blair, who died in 2000, wrote that "(Hillary) is not trying to excuse (Bill Clinton); it was a huge personal lapse. And she is not taking responsibility for it."

CNN has confirmed the documents are authentic and has reached out to a spokesman for Hillary Clinton, who has not responded.

Lewinsky will continue to be part of the Clintons' story.

Which leads us to ask -- where is she now?

Immediately after Clinton's impeachment, she remained in the spotlight. She worked with author Andrew Morton on a book about her, called "Monica's Story," which was published in March of 1999.

Rand Paul attacks Clintons over Lewinsky Rand Paul calls Bill Clinton a sex predator Paul chides Clinton over Lewinsky
"If (Democrats) want to take a position on women's rights, by all means do. But you can't do it and take it from a guy who was using his position of authority to take advantage of young women in the workplace," Paul said this past weekend on C-SPAN's "Newsmakers" program.

And on NBC's "Meet the Press" last month, Paul brought up Clinton's "predatory behavior."

Asked if Bill Clinton's past should be a consideration in a potential second presidential bid by his wife, Paul said he's "not saying that," but "sometimes it's hard to separate one from the other." When it comes to judging Bill Clinton's legacy, however, Paul said the affair should certainly be considered a factor.

The conservative Washington Free Beacon first reported on public documents stored at the University of Arkansas library that detail some of Hillary Clinton's discussions with a close friend, Diane Blair, at the time. Clinton told Blair that Lewinsky a "narcissistic loony toon."

Washington (CNN) -- Bill and Hillary Clinton's seemingly never-ending political careers have had a tremendous impact on at least one person: Monica Lewinsky.

The former White House intern, whose sexual relationship with the 42nd President led to his impeachment, will never be able to escape the spotlight -- as long as the Clintons are still in it.

As Hillary Clinton mulls another presidential run in 2016, her husband's relationship with Lewinsky has become fodder for her political foes.

Possible Republican 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky has invoked Lewinsky and Clinton's affair twice in as many months.

Parole

Jail Governor, I Gusti Ngurah Wiratna, said Corby's remission had now been green-lit by Jakarta and the new date for expiry of her sentence would be 25 September 2016. Corby was granted parole on 7 February 2014 after having served nine years in Kerobokan Prison. The ruling however means that Corby will have to live in Bali and follow other rules set by the correction bureau and check in with the Bali corrections bureau monthly until her final release in July 2017.

As part of her parole conditions that Corby signed in August 2013 she agreed to:

not use or distribute drugs
report at least monthly to the Bali corrections board
"dress neatly and appropriately for the officials"
the board watching for her welfare and behaviour, and agreeing to snap inspections of her sister-in-law's home.

Her parole conditions do not require her to admit any responsibility for the marijuana found in her possession in 2004. She does not have to live in her sister-in-law's house, however, for the duration of her parole period, she cannot leave Indonesian and must obtain permission from the Justice Ministry to travel to other parts of Indonesia. Her parole period is expected to end on 25 July 2017 after she has served an additional 12 months for guidance.

Verdict and sentence

The verdict in the Corby trial was broadcast live on television in Australia and the Nine Network's television coverage was also broadcast live in New Zealand. The coverage included the 80 page trial outline, the verdict and sentencing.

On 27 May 2005, Corby was found guilty and sentenced to 20 years' jail. She was also fined 100,000,000 IDR (about A$12,663), with an additional six months if unpaid. The defence and prosecution appealed separately to the High Court with the defence appealing for a retrial and the prosecution appealing for life imprisonment.

Pleas to be acquitted

Corby made pleas to be released. At the defence's last address to the court, on 29 April 2005, Corby said to the three judges:

I cannot admit to a crime I did not commit. And to the judges, my life at the moment is in your hands, but I would prefer if my life was in your hearts....And your Honour, I ask of you to show compassion, to find me innocent, to send me home. Saya tidak bersalah ("I am not guilty", in Indonesian).

Corby also wrote to the case's prosecutor, Ida Bagus Wiswantanu, and judges with a request for leniency.[

Forensic testing

The bag of cannabis was not fingerprinted by the Indonesian custom officials or police, nor analysed to determine its origin. Tim Lindsay of the University of Melbourne, an expert on Asian law, suggested that a greater focus on the weaknesses of the forensic evidence could have helped Corby's case.

The cannabis was contained in two bags, and although the outer bag had been handled by customs officers, Corby's defence argued that only the bottom of the inner bag had been contaminated. Therefore it was claimed that fingerprinting of the inner bag could be of value to the defence if it was shown not to possess Corby's fingerprints. In spite of requests to have the bag tested, including at the time of her arrest, such had not occurred by the time of Corby's second court appearance on 3 February 2005. At that court appearance the bag was handled by court officials. A formal request for fingerprinting made after the court appearance was unsuccessful. The prosecution argued that fingerprinting was unnecessary, as Corby was found with the drugs in her possession.

In 2004, Alexander Downer, the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, announced that the Australian Government would be requesting permission from Indonesia to test the cannabis and help determine its point of origin. It was argued that testing of the cannabis would have strengthened Corby's defence if it could have been shown that the drugs were grown in Indonesia, or potentially weakened it if they were grown in southern Queensland. However, shortly thereafter the Australian Consul General in Indonesia informed Corby that the AFP had no jurisdiction in the case, and in early 2005 the AFP was advised that the Bali police would not be providing a sample. Downer acknowledged that Indonesia had denied the request, but clarified that as the case was in Indonesia, it was their sovereign right to do so.

Three years later, in 2007, Vasu Rasiah, the "case co-ordinator" for Corby's defence team, appeared on Today Tonight to say that he managed to obtain a sample of the cannabis for testing prior to Corby's conviction, but that Corby did not allow the sample to be tested. This was similar to earlier claims by Mike Keelty, who in 2005 stated that Corby's legal team had advised the AFP that they did not wish to have the drugs tested when it became apparent that the results of the tests would be shared with Indonesia. In both cases these versions of events were disputed by Corby's family, who insisted that it was the Indonesian police who turned down the request, and that they wished to have the drugs examined by Australian authorities.

John Ford's allegations

John Patrick Ford, a prisoner at Port Phillip Prison who was awaiting trial and was subsequently convicted on unrelated charges, was flown to Indonesia to give evidence in Corby's defence.

Ford testified that he overheard a conversation in prison between two men and alleged that one of the men planted the marijuana in Corby's body board bag in Brisbane with the intention of having another person remove it in Sydney. He stated that the drugs were owned by Ron Vigenser, who had been a prisoner at the same jail as Ford. He stated that a mix-up resulted in the marijuana not being removed and subsequently being transported to Indonesia, all without Corby's knowledge. He refused to name the man who he claimed planted the drugs. The prosecution pointed out that his evidence was entirely hearsay and that he was facing trial for several serious offences in Australia. In the Australian media, Vigenser strongly denied any connection with the drugs and reportedly gave a statement to the Australian Federal Police.

An A$1,000,000 reward was offered for information to substantiate claims made by Ford about baggage handlers with no result. Following his return from Bali, Ford was convicted of rape. Subsequently, in prison, he was beaten and stabbed and then held in solitary protective custody. Ford's wife stated that this was a consequence of evidence he gave at Corby's trial.

Alleged involvement of baggage handlers

Corby's legal defence suggested that airport baggage handlers had put the drugs in Corby's bag, but they could not provide substantive probative evidence of this. In a June 2008 documentary, Schapelle Corby: The Hidden Truth, Corby's former lawyer, Robin Tampoe, said that he fabricated the defence theory that Australian baggage handlers could have planted the drugs in Corby's luggage and that former Australian foreign minister Alexander Downer told him he suspected Corby's brothers were behind the convicted drug smuggler's crime.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Corby flew out of Sydney on the same day (8 October 2004) as a large shipment of cocaine was shipped out of the airport by a drug ring involving corrupt baggage handlers. During the week of 9 May 2005, several arrests occurred in Australia related to cocaine smuggling through Sydney airport. Her defence claimed that the cannabis was planted in her bag by mistake by baggage handlers. However, the Australian Federal Police (AFP) commissioner, Mick Keelty, stated that a key aspect of her defence was not supported by the available intelligence and that the cocaine-smuggling ring which had been discovered involved the reception of shipments of drugs from overseas, not the transportation of drugs domestically.

CCTV cameras at the Bali airport could not corroborate or contradict Corby's account of what happened in customs. The prosecutor said the tapes were not checked. The defence requested to see them. Corby's mother claims that Corby requested the CCTV footage be shown in court, to which the judge replied, "We will use that if we need to". Corby's mother claims the footage was never shown. According to the documentary Ganja Queen, which aired on HBO, the CCTV Cameras within the airport were not operable the day of Corby's flight.

Corby requested that her other luggage be weighed in order to establish if there was an addition of approximately 4.2 kg from the weight checked in and recorded at Brisbane Airport. The weight increase would, according to her defence, have shown that the cannabis had been added after she had checked in her luggage. However, the request was denied.

On 30 June 2011, a woman came forward who had dated a Brisbane Airport baggage handler, a colleague of whom allegedly hid a large bag of marijuana in a traveller's bag in October 2004.

Trial

The prosecution case was based on the customs official's testimony that Corby said the bag was hers, and that it was found to contain 4.2 kg of cannabis. Four customs officials present when her bag was first examined in Bali said she tried to stop the bag being opened, and that she had said "I have some..."

Three of Corby's travelling companions testified that they had seen her pack the bag before leaving for the airport and that only the flippers and yellow body board were inside it. In contrast to the testimony of the customs officials, her companions said that Corby opened the bag herself at the customs counter. Despite repeated requests from Corby's companions and lawyers, the bag was not tested for fingerprints.

Corby's lawyers argued that she had no knowledge of the cannabis until customs officials at the airport found it. Her defence centred on the theory that she had become an unwitting drug courier for what was supposed to have been an interstate shipment of drugs between Brisbane and Sydney in Australia â€" a claim that was later supported when the former head of operations for the Australian Federal Police's internal investigation unit, Ray Cooper, claimed that it was well known within the AFP that some passengers were unwittingly being used to transfer drugs between domestic airports in Australia. According to her lawyers, the cannabis was meant to have been removed in Sydney. Corby's former lawyer, Robin Tampoe, later said that he made up the claim about the baggage handlers and apologised to them. Tampoe was subsequently struck off for misconduct.

The Australian Government offered the services of two Queen's Counsel on a pro-bono basis. However, the offer was rejected. The Corby family subsequently took up the offer for the High Court appeal but after more allegations of bribery by the barristers, further assistance was refused.

Arrest

On 8 October 2004, Corby, her brother and two friends flew from Brisbane to Bali transiting in Sydney. It was her first visit to Bali in four years, having several previous stopovers between Australia and Japan to visit her sister, Mercedes.

Passing through customs upon her arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Corby was apprehended by customs officers. She was found to have 4.2 kg (9.3 lb) of cannabis in a double plastic vacuum-sealed plastic in her unlocked body board bag. Customs officer Gusti Nyoman Winata said that she tried to prevent him from opening the compartment of the bag containing the cannabis. Corby denied this during the trial, saying she originally opened the bag after being asked by Winata whose bag it was. Corby said she and the customs official had difficulty understanding each other. No CCTV footage of this interaction was retrieved or preserved.

The four bags belonging to Corby and her companions were not weighed individually at Brisbane Airport, with a total weight of 65 kg being taken instead. The Bali police and customs did not record the weight of the bags, despite requests from Corby for them to do so. Corby stated that she had no knowledge of the drugs until the body board bag was opened by customs officers.

Early life

Corby was born in the town of Tugun, on the Gold Coast, in the Australian state of Queensland, to Michael Corby, who worked as a coal miner, and Rosleigh Rose, the owner of a fish and chip shop. The couple separated when Corby was a baby. After dropping out of high school in year eleven, she enrolled in a part-time beauty therapy course at a TAFE institute, finishing two of four course modules. She then worked in her family's fish and chip shop and at a Coles supermarket. Corby's older sister, Mercedes, married a Balinese man and lives in Bali.

In the mid-1990s, Corby met a Japanese man, Kimi Tanaka, who was on a working holiday in Australia and the two began dating. On his return to Japan, Corby continued to visit him and the two married in June 1998 in the Japanese town of Omaezaki, Shizuoka. While living in Omaezaki she worked at a ryokan (Japanese inn). Her husband also found work in the hospitality industry and as a seasonal worker on nearby tea farms. The couple separated and Corby returned to Australia in July 2000. The couple's divorce was finalised in 2003. Tanaka remarried and became a father and, after October 2004, did not have any further contact with Corby. Returning home to Australia, Corby had a stopover in Bali where she had been five times since the age of sixteen, which included stopovers on her way to or from Japan.

From Wikipedia

Schapelle Leigh Corby (born 10 July 1977) is an Australian woman convicted of drug smuggling in Indonesia. She spent nine years imprisoned on the Indonesian island of Bali in Kerobokan Prison before being granted parole in February 2014. Corby has said from the time of her arrest that the drugs were planted in her body board bag and that she did not know about them. Her trial and conviction were a major focus of attention for the Australian media.

Corby was convicted on 27 May 2005 for the importation of 4.2 kg (9.3 lb) of cannabis into Bali. She was sentenced to 20-years by the Denpasar District Court and imprisoned in Kerobokan Prison. On appeal her conviction and sentence were confirmed with finality by the Indonesian Supreme Court. In March 2010, Corby petitioned the President of Indonesia for clemency on the grounds of mental illness. In May 2012, she granted a five-year sentence reduction. Corby was granted parole in February 2014 after serving nine years in prison. Under her parole conditions, Corby will not be able to leave Indonesia until July 2017.

Bora Bora Island, France

Ah, Bora Bora - the most famous of all French Polynesia Leeward Islands. It is so enchanting that they had to name it twice. This tropical paradise offers a range of activities such as scuba diving and snorkeling for a fun-filled time with your family! With a stunning view of the ocean, I wouldn't mind spending months relaxing here.

*gasps*
SO PRETTY!!!
Yup, that was my initial reaction. The Keukenhof Garden in the Netherlands is the largest flower garden in the whole world. It displays a variety of flowers and privately owned tulip fields can be found outside the garden. The Keukenhof Garden is only open from mid-March to mid-May so be sure to check it out if you're in the Netherlands during that period!

Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye, Scotland

This gorgeous Fairy Pool is located at the Isle of Skye, just southeast of Glen Brittle Forest. Indulge in the beautiful surroundings as you walk up to the fairy pools. The pool is freezing cold, even in the summer, but you can still take a dip if you want to! Who knows, maybe you'll find some fairies living underwater... or not lol.

This 102 year old floating forest is located at Homebush Bay in Sydney, Australia. The abandoned ship pictured is the SS Aryfield that was used in WWII but subsequently left at the bay to deteriorate. With mangrove trees adorning the rusted hull, visitors would be treated to a spectacular sight at sunset.

Hamilton Pool Preserve in Texas, United States of America

The Hamilton Pool Preserve is a natural pool that was created back when the dome of an underground river collapsed due to erosion. Since it's a natural pool, it is not chemically treated so the water quality is maintained regularly and swimming is sometimes restricted. Even so, I think it would be pretty cool to swim in a natural pool and not have to worry about chlorine ruining your hair...

Victoria Falls, Zambia and Zimbabwe

This beautiful waterfall is located in South Africa, along the borders of Zambia and Zimbabwe. If you're entering from the Zambian side, you cannot get a full view of the Victoria Falls though it costs less to fly to Zambia than to Zimbabwe. On the other hand, although you can get the full view from Zimbabwe, the walk down from the falls on the Zimbabwean side is closed. There's always going to be pros and cons to entering from either side. I suggest you do extensive research and know what you really want for maximum enjoyment.

Blue Lagoon, Galapagos Island, Ecuador

Some describe the Blue Lagoon Galapagos Island as a bright blue eye but it looks more like an egg with a blue yolk to me. Nonetheless, it is still a beauty and extremely favoured by flamingoes! The wildlife found at the Galapagos Islands do not fear humans at all so when you snorkel, there's a chance that you'll find yourself surrounded by sea lions showing off their moves. Sea lions are one of the cutest mammals ever so you can bet that I'm going to visit this place in future. There's no chance that I'm passing the chance to swim with sea lions!

If you don't know what the Stonehenge is, you should be ashamed of yourself. It is one of the most popular wonders of the world and one of the coolest prehistoric monuments ever! All I know is that this is a place you wouldn't want to miss when you're in England.

St Basil's Cathedral, Russia

The St Basil's Cathedral on Moscow's Red Square was built between 1555 and 1561. Man, that's really long ago. It's full title is actually the Cathedral of the Protection of Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat. Being a History buff, I decided to find out more about St Basil's Cathedral and during Stalin's reign, the church was confiscated from the Russian Orthodox community.

Since then, has remained the property of the Russian Federation. Even so, it's stunning architecture has been kept pristine and is a must-see for everyone.

Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr Frodo...and it's worth fighting for.

As Sam said, there are some things that are worth fighting for...like visiting this Hobbit-style bar in New Zealand.

It's located at Hobbiton near Matamata where the 'Lord of the Ring' movies were filmed.

If you're an LOTR fan, then this is a place you must visit! But, don't expect a bunch of actors dressed up as hobbits there. Aside from the fact that it looks like the set from the movies, it's still a regular bar on the inside, with regular people who don't do anything with sheep.

'High performing micro-robots have been  developed by mimicking their functions and structures.

'Insect cyborgs which are robots controlled by electric stimulation of their brain  and neurons are desired for rescue, environmental  monitoring and working in a radiation environment.'

However, researchers have, until now, found it tough to power the cockroach-mounted gadgets.

'We generated power using electrochemical reactions with trehalose,' the researchers said.

'The self-circulation system of CHL actuated by the abdominal motion and the  pressure difference of the dorsal vessel was developed  by connecting a tube with a built in check-valve to a  cockroach.

'We expect an onsite semi-permanent  power source for insect cyborgs will be possible by combining the IH-BFC and the self-circulation system.

HOW IT WORKS

The fuel cell generates electricity by using trehalose (sugar) contained in the insect's body fluid.

It consists of electrodes, a tank of body fluid and needle-like pipe which is inserted into the insect.

The inside of the tank is separated by a dialysis membrane.

Trehalose is broken down by enzymes (trehalase and mutarotase) to produce glucose.

Glucose is then oxidized on the positive electrode side, and oxygen is generated on the negative electrode side (oxidation-reduction reaction), creating a simple battery that can power electronics the insect carries.

Osaka University and the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) co-developed the fuel cell, which measures 20 x 15mm and can be mounted on an insect.

They say the work will lead to forming a wireless sensor network with cyborg insects.

The fuel cell was announced at IEEE MEMS 2014, a San Francisco conference.

If the power source is combined with a technology to control an insect, it will become possible to use insects for wirelessly transmitting various sensor signals.

Flying cyborg insects might realize a wide-area sensor network, eliminating the need to deploy many wireless sensor networks, and be able to go into dangerous areas.

'Insects are extremely successful animals, living almost everywhere on the earth,' the researchers wrote.

The self-powered cyborg COCKROACHES set to clean up our cities

-- Battery uses sugar in the insect's body to power electronics
-- Sensors can be mounted on the insect's back

It may sound like a terrifying science fiction baddie, but Japanese researchers have revealed the first cyborg cockroaches - and say they could help keep our cities clean.

The team created a radical new battery that creates energy from sugar in the insect's body.

They now hope to build giant 'swarms' of their cyber insects to create large sensor networks for chemicals and pollutants.

Japanese researchers say the tiny self powered cockroach backpacks they have developed could help polluted cities by monitoring levels
