I bought a bag of it, 'te. I eat it as if its mani. Its good kai gamay ra ang fat substance, pero it keeps my mouth chewing, good when you're studying. Its 4:40 am right now--ive been studying since 7:30 pm. And the sesame seed bag isn't even empty yet, lol.

I am, however, running out of coffee. Blast! :P

Oh wow!  I eat sesame seeds but didn't think of eating that like peanuts.  I love anything that has to do with sesame seeds.  I can use tahini instead of peanut butter! :D

Wow, I am so proud of you, Men!  I felt like it also expressed my feelings when I graduated college without Mommy and Daddy there because we couldn't afford for their fare to go to Davao!

Good job, my dear sister!  In two weeks, Terter is again graduating college and I feel Mom and Dad's pride in having another daughter graduate - something that they didn't experience themselves.

Oi tuod noh?  Happy birthday to me naman diay diha sa Philippines!   ;D  Salamat, my dear Mari and Elsie and to all my well-wishers!  Indeed, God has blessed me a lot.  I am blessed with friends I haven't met yet but are so dear to me - my Tubag Bohol friends!  But most of all, I am blessed with another year to thank the Lord for all that happened in the years gone by and to look forward to another year with faith and hope...  God bless you all!

When I went to New Mexico, I met my Uncle's family - 100% authentic American Indians with matching attire and accessories, Mari!  The speaks their own language.  I was able to help the native ladies in making their famous fry bread!  Mangita pa ko'g laing pictures with the grandma of my Uncle (smiffy's Dad).  We attended her 100th birthday.  She just died last month at the age of 105.

You are so correct, Maring!  The Easter should be the biggest religious celebration.  We observe it by reflecting our lives with Jesus Christ's sufferings for us.  Sus, ka remember ko, kon magpabuyag mi sa una na di malikayan, basta Semana Santa, mahadlok si MOmmy manghampak nko kay mao nay ijang gi ingon na "ting pugong!"
#13029
At the first day of school, we were taught already how to speak English so this shouldn't be an issue.  Except for Pilipino subject, everything is in English - textbooks, test/exams, etc.  If we restrict that the questions be asked only in Tagalog, this may be a problem because for one, there are judges who does not speak Tagalog.  However, to address this issue, the contestants should have the option to answer the question in Tagalog, which, to my understanding is allowed.  Also, the contestants, should have the option too to ask that the question be translated or interpreted in Tagalog, if that can make the contestants better understand the questions.

The question that was asked by the contestant, more specifically contestant #15 was very simple.  I think she could well answer that question if not under pressure.   Her nerve got in her way, so to speak.

You are describing me, Maring!  No matter how I lotion my hand or my body, I spark like a spark plug!  Murage told me not to wear slippers always inside the house so I am "grounded" but I am used already to using slippers.  He also told me to touch first the door knob or car door with my knuckles.  It does work sometimes but not 100%! Whenever i touch somebody, I always get jolted and so is the other person.  Geee, can we make good use of this electricity?  ???

Poem by J.P Rizal

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysJix1pzM1o

(Translation)

Go to my country, go foreign flowers!
Planted by the traveller on his way,
And there beneath that sky of blue
    That over my beloved towers,
Speak for this traveller to say
What faith in his homeland he breathes to you.

Go and say... say that when the dawn
First drew your calyx open there
    Beside the River Neckar chill,
you saw him standing by you, very still,
Reflecting on the primrose flush you wear.

Say that when the morning light
Her toll of perfume from you wrung,
While playfully she whispered, "How I love you!"
He too murmured here above you
Tender love songs in his native tongue.

That when the rising sun the height
    Of Koenigstuhl in the early morn first spies;
Is pouring life in the valley, wood, and grove,
He greets the sun as it begins to rise,
Which in his native land is blazing straight above.

And tell them of that day he staid
And plucked you from the border of the path,
Amid the ruins of the feudal castle,
By the River Neckar, and in the silvan shade.
Tell them what he told you
    As tenderly as he took
Your plants leaves and pressed them in a book,
Where now its well worn pages close enfold you.

Carry, carry, flowers of Rhine,
Love to every love of mine,
Peace to my country and her fertile land,
Virtue to her women, courage to her men,
    Salute those darling once again,
Who formed the sacred circle of our home.

And when you reach the shore,
Each kiss I press upon you now,
Deposit on the pinions of the wind,
And those I love and honor above and adore
Will feel my kisses carried their brow.

Ah, flowers, you may fare through,
    Conserving still, perhaps, your native hue;
Yet, far from fatherland, heroic loam
To which you owe your life,
    The perfume will be gone from you;
For aroma is your soul; it cannot roam
Beyond the skies which saw it born, nor e'er forget.

Dong, is that your voice in the video?  Hinay man kaayo but sounds like you.

Here easter is not celebrated the same way as we cellebrate back in the states. Graduation is the same week for 3 of my kids, and with it being crisis I am not so sure too many can enjoy the holweek as the graduation fees are running at a minimum of 3000 piso per student just for exspenses alone.
The sad thing is paying for a paper diploma and nothing to protect it such as vinyl cover book.

The diploma converted to merican money cost $6.00 this year for high school students
aulumni is $10.00, and toga isaround 18.00 dollars and speakers dinner cost each student around P450.00 sheesh and no meals or snacks fo the graduates makes me wonder just what kind of a meal he is eating at that price multiplied by so many students.
yearbook cost p750.00 and so on and if you do not pay all you can not take the final and graduate.......................OMG!
Thats how we in Tagbilaran with graduating students are cellebrating our holyweek by paying for the graduation four days later to hapen on the 27th of March!

I didn't see observance of Holy Week here in the USA as much as we do in our family there in Bohol.  Here there is commercialization of this Holiday.  The stores are filled with Easter stuff like all the eggs and bunnies and stuff.

Our younger sister is also graduating her second college course on the 29th!  So to all the graduates, congratulations!

Oi, na unsa na kini dre! hahahahaha

Mikey, sorry. Imo man diay ning pag umangkon si Contestant#15.  No matter what people think, i defend man jud nimo kay pag umangkon man and for sure, basin, basin lang, if amo pod na pag umangkon, we will do the same.  After having said that, klaro jud, it isn't about knowing how to speak English or what, na tarantar jud kaayo to sya.  I heard a lot of times in the past that contestants answer in Tagalog so dili man siguro to sila gipugos mag English jud bisan English ang question. Also, if you notice, while she still had the confidence, she was really oozing  and flaunting with it.  When the question was asked by Vivian, that's when reality sat in.  Natarantar na sya.  She didn't had time to pause and regroup herself busa nagkarambola na iyang tubag.  The question was just so simple as in simple any grade 5 Miss miss contestant from Manga Elementary School can answer that with laman.  But unsaon man na daog man sya sa taranta so nawala jud tawon iyang sense as in super senseless murag gasalimuang na tawon sya. Luoy jud intawon kaayo. But, as I said in the other threads, she is young, and she will have a chance to redeem herself, I hope, for her own sake kay kon ako sa iyang lugar, basin di nko mo gawas sa kadalanan.  These beauties didn't want to be labelled as just beauties but naa pod tawon brain.  So, let's all be one in wishing Janine the best luck next time and hope through this "traumatic" experience, she will gain out of it and will motivate her to do best the next time.  As for us critics, pasagdi laman mi kay natural man jud na.  If all people tells her she did good in the interview, she will never improve!

I salute you Mikey for fighting for your niece!  Way to go, friend! :D

Sir, I am no expert in computer.  Hangtud cake and cookies lang ko and maybe Accounting subject  :D but please try this one:

go to www.hotmail.com, click Tools or if you can not see this kay lahi pod ang pinulungan, just click the 7th menu at the top of your screen or the second to the last.  The last item under Tools is Options.  Under Options, you will be directed to another window with seven icons.  The last one in the Advanced.  Right below the Languages, click choose.  From there, you can choose languages by moving up and down until you see English.

There's no harm in trying until you get real help from the experts. :D

I have seen a video in another thread the entire interview portion.  Goodness, she was really the worst of all contestants.  I feel so bad kay for sure she was so humiliated.  tsk tsk tsk

She was just boringly okay today. I think her choice of song which was just safe.  She has so much to give voice-wise, she should use it to the max.  On the lighter note, she dressed herself well today!

This is the first time I heard the entire Q & A.  If I had to choose who had the best answer, I'd choose that gal who was sick and was asked to describe what is the perfect family.  She was spontaneous.  Contestant Number 15 was the worst of 'em all.  Poor thing.

MJose, once you are logged in already to your hotmail account, to the upper right side of the screen just below the 'sign out' you can see the Options.  Click that and go to the third menu which is the "Customize your Mail".  In that, the second sub-menu is 'Select Language".  The fifth language is English so click on that.

I hope I helped you.  :D
