Jokes and Humor / Re: why do i live in the phils?

Quote from: lumine on June 07, 2007, 02:38:18 PM
this is a forwarded email i got from my aunt.
it's funny but it's true.
here it goes........

Di ko alam kung matatawa ako rito o maiinis....

Because of the bad press this country is getting. When I travel
people often ask me why I live in the Philippines. Well here it
is.
It is the only place on earth...........

Where every street has a basketball court. Where even doctors,
      lawyers and engineers are
unemployed. Where doctors study to become nurses for employment abroad.
Where students pay more money than they will earn afterwards.

Where school is considered the second home and the mall
considered
      the third.
Where call-center employees earn more money than teachers and
nurses.
Where everyone has his personal ghost story and superstition.

Where mountains like Makiling and Banahaw are considered holy
places.
      Where everything can be forged.
Where all kinds of animals are edible. Where Starbucks coffee is
more
expensive than gas. Where driving 4 kms can take as much as four
hours. Where flyovers bring you from the freeway to the side
streets.
Where crossing the street involves running for your dear life.
Where
the personal computer is mainly used for games and Friendster.
Where
colonial mentality is dishonestly denied! Where 4 a.m. is not
even
considered bedtime yet. Where people can pay to defy the law.
Where
everything and everyone is spoofed. Where even the
poverty-stricken
get to wear Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger (peke)! Where the
honking
of car horns is a way of life. Where being called a bum is never
offensive. Where floodwaters take up more than 90 percent of the
      streets during the rainy season.

Where everyone has a relative abroad who keeps them alive. Where
wearing your national colors makes you baduy. Where even the
poverty-stricken have the latest cell phones. (GSM-galing sa
magnanakaw) Where insurance does not work. Where water can only be
classified as tap and dirty - clean water is for sale (35 pesos per
gallon). Where the government makes the people pray for miracles. (Amen
to
that!)
Where University of the Philippines is where all the weird people
go.
Ateneo is where all the nerds go.
La Salle is where all the Chinese go. College of Saint Benilde is where
all
the stupid Chinese go, and University of Asia and the Pacific is where
all
the irrelevantly rich people go. Where fast food is a diet meal. Where
traffic signs are merely suggestions, not regulations.

Where being mugged is normal.. It happens to everyone. Where rodents
are
normal house pets. Where the definition of traffic is the
'non-movement'
of
vehicles. Where the fighter planes of the 1940s are used for military
engagements, and the new fighter planes are displayed in museums. Where
cigarettes and alcohol are a necessity, and where the lottery is a
commodity.
Where soap operas tell the realities of life and where the news
provides the drama. Where actors make the rules and where
politicians
provide the entertainment. Where people can get away with
stealing
trillions of pesos, but not a thousand. Where being an hour late
is
still considered punctual. (Grabe talaga 'to!) Where the
squatters
have more to complain (even if they do not pay their tax) ----
than
those employed and have their tax automatically deducted from
their
      salaries.

and Where everyone wants to leave the country!

FILIPINO SIGNS OF WIT the sign in a flower shop in Diliman
            called Petal Attraction.

Anita Bakery, a 24-hour restaurant called Doris Day & Night
Barber shop called: Felix The Cut a bakery named
Bread Pitt, fast-food place selling 'maruya' (banana fritters) called
Maruya Carey. Then, there are Christopher Plumbing a boutique called
The
Way We Wear; a video rental shop called Leon King Video Rental; a
restaurant in the Cainta district of Rizal called Caintacky Fried
Chicken,
a local burger restaurant called Mang Donald's, a doughnut shop called
MacDonuts, a shop selling 'lumpia' (egg roll) in Makati called Wrap and
Roll, and two butcher shops called Meating Place and Meatropolis.

Smart travelers can decipher what may look like baffling signs to
unaccustomed foreigners by simply sounding out the 'Taglish' (the
Philippine version of English words spelled and pronounced with a heavy
Filipino
such as, at a restaurant menu in Cebu 'We hab sopdrink in can an in
batol'
[translation: We have soft drinks in can and in bottle].

Then, there is a sewing accessories shop called Bids And Pises
[translation: Beads and Pieces --or-- Bits and Pieces].
There are also many signs with either badly chosen or misspelled words,
but
they are usually so entertaining that it would be a mistake to
'correct'
them.

In a restaurant in Baguio City, the 'summer capital' of the
Philippines:
'
Wanted: Boy Waitress'; on a highway in Pampanga: 'We Make Modern
Antique
Furniture;' on the window of a photography shop in Cabanatuan: 'We
Shoot
You While You Wait;' and on the glass front of a cafe in Panay Avenue
in
Manila: ' Wanted: Waiter, Cashier, Washier.'

Some of the notices can even give a wrong impression, such as, a shoe
store
in Pangasinan which has a sign saying: 'We Sell Imported Robber Shoes'
(these could be the 'sneakiest' sneakers); and a rental property sign
in
Jaro, reads: 'House For Rent, Fully Furnaced' (it must really be hot
inside)! Occasionally, one could come across signs that are truly
unique--if not altogether odd. City in southern Philippines, which
said:
'Adults: 1 peso; Child: 50 centavos; Cadavers: fare subject to
negotiation.'

European tourists may also be intrigued to discover two competing shops
selling hopia (a Chinese pastry) called Holland Hopia and Poland Hopia,
which are owned and operated by two local Chinese entrepreneurs, Mr. Ho
and
Mr. Po respectively- -(believe it or not)! Some folks also 'creatively'
redesign English to be more efficient 'The creative confusion between
language and culture leads to more than just simple unintentional
errors
in
syntax, but in the adoption of new words,' says reader Robert
Goodfellow,
who came across a sign that

House Fersallarend' (house for sale or rent). Why use five words when
two
will do?

According to Manila businessman, Tonyboy Ongsiako, there is so much wit
in
the Philippines because '. . . we are a country where a good sense of
humor
is needed to survive. We have a 24-hour comedy show here called the
government and a huge reserve of comedians made up mostly of
politicians
and bad actors.
Now I ask you where else in the world would one want to live?

still in the philippines hehehe!

Dear Friends,

Today I got a quick message from a former colleague asking me if I am using my own money to maintain Tubag Bohol.

My answer to the question: Yes, I am using my personal savings to have this site running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I am not rich, but I don't need to be rich so I can help our province in some little ways.

I was even putting my life in constant danger while I was working as full-time journalist in our homeprovince. Ask Capitan Berong about this. :) Tubag Bohol is an extension of my love for Bohol - without counting the cost.

Now I have answered your question, too - that is if you might have the same question in mind.

God bless,

Thank you Mike, good job!were here to help u but not in financial hah!hehehe bitaw  how much it cost diay to run this site? genius na generous pa gyud!keep it up! good bless

Anonymous Diary Blog / Re: I buy a UPS
June 07, 2007, 09:03:30 AM
Quote from: Bohol Philippines on June 05, 2007, 08:00:09 PM
Lately, power connection in our campus has not been that stable because of intermittent onslaught of strong rain and wind. Unlike in Bohol, the place where I live is but a vast expanse of rice fields, and everywhere you turn your head you cannot spot any shadow of hills or mountains. A simple gust of wind can powerfully shake the windows of my room.

My laptop has been stripped of its built-in battery as it was already unreliable. If I use the battery, I couldn't use the keyboard.

I don't know why.

Had I known that it was the battery that prevented me from logging onto the computer, I would have not reinstalled Windows. Reinstalling Windows is a pain. All your installed programs and files have to be removed or transferred to another storage disk before the reinstallation procedure takes place.

Now every time there is brownout, my laptop succumbs to total darkness, too. With the battery, you can still save your work, then shut  your notebook down. Without the battery, you are helpless when you want to salvage your work. And the worst scenario that could happen in your computer is that, because of the sudden death of the operating system, your computer may give up its last breath. And you will cry the whole day. And only your would-be wife in New York would console your digitally bruised heart. Who else?

I don't want that to happen. I have be in touch with a lot of people from around the world 18 hours a day without interruption. I have web clients who would request me to do this, to do that in the websites I made for them. And what will happen to Tubag Bohol if my laptop departs from me? Poor Mike, I don't have money to buy a new computer. There are bills to be paid. Tubag Bohol server is one.

Will I buy a new battery? Or will I buy a UPS? Uninterruptible Power Supply. I was wrong. I thought the meaning was Universal Power Saver.

I chose the second option. Did I make the right decision?

I never knew that a UPS can be very heavy. I had to transport it from Bangkok to a Thai province where I am based. Anyway, I am no longer afraid of brownouts. But there was one thing that had scared me always. I was running out of storage space in my harddisk.

That concern was addressed last Sunday. I also bought a 120-gigabyte external harddrive in addition to the UPS. I can now keep more Tubag Bohol materials outside my notebook. I spent 5,500 baht plus for these two important support gadgets.

When/If I can save money next month, I plan to buy a digital camera. I really felt bad that when I visited our province last April this year, after a year of ubiquitous silence, I had no camera with me. I could have taken thousands of Bohol images during my seven-day stay. My mind was still pregnant of Tubag Bohol concept at the time.

What else will I buy? Milk and tea - to keep me awake as I monitor the journey of Tubag Bohol.

thanks Mike for making TubagBohol possible, can i ask dili na siguro ka matulog no?

This story is not happen abroad but in our own beloved country... I just want to look back my past experience as a child or as a teenager that i considered unforgetable  :)

When I was in 4th yr high school, nisikat to ang singing contest nga "Anak-sugbo", 7 ka bata or teenager ang naghost, diha to permi sa plaza Independencia every sunday. I wrote them a letter once and they replied with pic(I think I still have it in my parents place).  Then they told me to watched them live, I went there and of course I talked to them lol, at least I was able to experience like that in my teenage life and it only happen once and we can't make a changes for that. And as an ordinary child and person,  I kept the memories ;D

And when I quit my job in 2001 to pursue my study. I still didn't able to finish my course due to financial problem. So i started to hunt a job again.. One company I applied was a radio station, the DYHP as a radio actress, they we're hiring, but i'm an innocent looking gal  ;), so I was one of the unfortunate one.

Lol its funny but its true... Does anyone have the same experience here?  :D

yes of course, daghan ta...wala sad ko kahuman ug college, walay igasto, but im lucky got a job!

Who's Who of Bohol / Re: Meet Rico Cruz .....

:)  ;)  :-*

Here's another outstanding Boholano achiever .......

=======================================

RICO OBLIGADO CRUZ

THE SCIENTIST AS AN ENVIRONMENTALIST

The number one predator in planet Earth is man. He is on top of the food chain, and he reigns supreme in his realm. If self-interest and greed continue to influence his vital moves, this planet is doomed. And he himself is doomed. Nevertheless, this is only a generalization. If he is truly a rational human being, for which reason he is above all other animals, his ability to evaluate, comprehend, evaluate and draw logical conclusions is a Godly blessing. Thus, he still has hope.

Among those who have aspired to give hope to mankind are the devoted environmentalists who have drawn for the quizzical a landscape conducive to the preservation of man and his habitat. Dr. Rico O. Cruz, Ph. D. is one scientist, engineer, and environmentalist who fits the role of savior in the global desire to preserve Mother Earth.

He was born in Aguining, President Garcia, Bohol on January 29, 1958 to parents, Jose E. Cruz, Sr., a native of Aguining, and Demetria Obligado-Cruz of Combado, Maasin, Southern Leyte. After his elementary and high school education in his island municipality, he embarked on a developmental venture to enhance his potentials by enrolling at VISCA (Visayas State College of Agriculture), pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering. He finished the course in 1980 as a Southern Leyte State Scholar, a distinction that was bestowed to him after a series of examinations and interviews, and the fact that his previous scholastic records showed his excellence. He graduated Cum Laude in the five-year course. He also took four years of ARMY ROTC and topped the officers’ training school (advance summer camp training) at Camp Lapu-Lapu, Cebu City.

Right after graduation he was presented with two options for a lifetime career: be an Agricultural Engineer or be a military man. He chose the former. From 1980 to 1984 he was hired as Science Specialist and Instructor by his alma mater. It was also at this time when VISCA became Leyte State University (LSU).
This further linkage with LSU opened another door for advancement. A scholarship grant took him to Silsoe College, Bedford, England where he took and finished Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering in 1983. Because of his qualifications, and his perseverance to enhance his chosen profession, he was admitted as Intern at the Postharvest Institute for Perishables, University of Idaho, USA. For his upkeep he worked as International Graduate Assistant. From 1984 to 1987 he was employed as International Graduate Assistant in the same University.

In 1997 he accepted the job of Assistant in Research at the University of Idaho Agricultural Engineering Department. Simultaneously he enrolled for his Doctorate degree in the said school and finished Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Engineering in 1990. He stayed for two years more in Moscow, Idaho before he became Volunteer Specialist and Bioprocess Engineer at ACDI/VOCA (Agricultural Cooperative Development International/Volunteers in Overseas Cooperative Assistance) based in Washington, DC, a position he retains until today.

Through the auspices of ACDI/VOCA he became involved in international humanitarian work and services. From April 1993 to June 1996 he was assigned in Uganda. In February 1999 he worked in Azerbaijan. From October to November of the same year he was based in Russia. From April 2001 to July 2002 he was working in Bulgaria, and from June to July 2003 he was assigned in Paraguay.

From 1994 to 1999 he worked as a Senior Environmental Specialist at Nez Perce Tribe, Department of Natural Resources, Lapwai, Idaho. It was during this stint that he was tapped for the United Nations Development Programme for TOKEN (Transfer of Knowledge Through Expatriate Nationals) from November to December of 1995. In 1999 he became a Senior Science and Technology Associate of the International Institute for Indigenous Resources Management of Denver, Colorado. A year later he went back to Nez Perce Tribe, Department of Natural Resources of Idaho, as Hanford Cultural Resource Coordinator, a job he held until 2003. After a couple of years he was taken in as Vice President for Operation at S.I.I. LLC in Pendleton, Oregon. Since 2002 he has been President and CEO of Ecoenergy International, LLC of Craigmont, Idaho. In 2004 he was offered the position of Program Manager and Terrestrial Ecologist of Laboratory and Biological Services, CTUIR, Oregon. Dr. Cruz still holds simultaneously the last three positions until today.

Dr. Rico Cruz is an active member of various organizations, among them: American Society of Agricultural Engineers, American Nuclear Society, Institute of Biological Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, International Who’s Who of Professionals, International Solar Energy Society, Indian Nursery Council and Lions Club International.

Among the awards and recognition he received are the following: First Place, Advance Summer Camp. Philippine Army Reserve, 31D, 1979; Cum Laude, VISCA, 1980; 5-year state Scholarship, Southern Leyte, 1975; Columbo Plan, British Council Study Fellowship, 1981;; Outstanding Alumnus in Science, The College of Maasin, 2000; 1000 W0orld Leaders of Scientific Influence, American Biographical Institute, 2001.

Through the TOKEN program, he piloted the production of coconut in the Philippines. His work has been recognized worldwide, and he is listed in the 1999 International Who’s Who of Professionals, Gibraltar Publishing Corporation, 1999; and the 1000 World Leaders of Scientific Influence in 2001 by the American Biographic Institute. In 2000 he was chosen by the College of Maasin as Outstanding Alumnus in Science. A Registered Professional Engineer, he has written, published, and presented over 30 technical papers on bioprocessing, biofuels, and environmental management.

Dr. Cruz is married to Consuelo M. Cruz, a Medical Technologist. He is a much sought-after lecturer and has traveled all over the world as seminar, workshop, and convention speaker. A fisherman and hunter during his free time, it is in environmental concerns that he has excelled globally. He has helped NGOs in the Philippines in protecting, conserving, and sustaining the dwindling natural resources. His goal for the nation is to minimize environmental degradation, sustain the resources, and be independent in producing its own energy. Perhaps, far-fetched, but he has dedicated himself to this dream.

Inspiration & Hope / Re: On Purpose
June 05, 2007, 02:25:18 PM
Quote from: Bohol Philippines on May 30, 2007, 07:18:59 PM
We . . . are being transformed into [Christ’s] image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. â€"2 Corinthians 3:18

Rick Warren’s The Purpose-Driven Life has had an unbelievable run on the best-seller lists. Its phenomenal appeal reminds us that believers and nonbelievers alike have a deep longing for a clear sense of purpose. We all want to know that our lives are involved in something worthwhile. Without a strong sense of calling and purpose, life is nothing more than routine busyness.

Being a follower of Jesus gives us a distinct advantage when it comes to having a sense of purpose. The Westminster Catechism sums it up well when it says the “chief end of man” is to “glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.”

Glorifying God means putting His character, His will, and His ways into action in all that we do. The apostle Paul reminded us that we “are being transformed into [Christ’s] image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Cor. 3:18). The purpose of our lives is to let others see what God is like as they watch and experience His love through us.

What a profound privilege it is to mirror God’s love, mercy, grace, justice, and righteousness to a world whose heart is “veiled” to God’s truth! (4:3-4). Our purpose is to show others less of us and more of Him. That’s living on purpose with a purpose! â€"Joe Stowell

So let our lips and lives express
The holy gospel we profess,
So let our words and virtues shine
To prove the doctrine all divine. â€"Watts

Ask yourself; “Does this program really contribute to my personal or professional goals?” If not, you may want to turn it off, or at least change the channel.

Why Sex Is Good for Your Health
By Glenn Mueller
eDiets Staff Writer

Go have sex and call me in the morning? While you might not get this advice from your doctor just yet, there is an increasing amount of research to support the idea that sex is good for your health. Some public health experts even say that sex is as important to your health as diet and exercise.
One member of the medical community who is spreading the word about the health benefits of sex is best-selling author and radio personality Dr. Dean Edell. The anonymity of talk radio often persuades listeners to ask Dr. Edell questions about sex that they aren't comfortable discussing with their own physicians or their spouses or partners. "As a doctor I push it, because it is important for people to relax about the subject," Dr. Edell tells eDiets.

The physician broadcaster admits that he may be more comfortable about the topic than many people because of his professional medical background. However, Dr. Edell is quick to bring up the fact that "every one of us owes our existence to a sexual act."

"Sex is the most directly accessible route to ecstasy that God has given us, and we've turned it into a menace," says Dr. Edell. "For centuries societal dogma has carried the overt and covert message that sex is bad for your body."

Not only are these assumptions incorrect, but also there is increasing evidence that the opposite may be true. According to Dr. Edell, a healthy sex life may not only be a sign of good health, but also a cause of it.

"A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association 15 years ago declared that the more orgasms a man has, the longer he is likely to live," Dr. Edell says.

Another study Dr. Edell mentions in his books was conducted by researchers at Queens University in Belfast. Nearly 1,000 men from Wales, who ranged in age from 45 to 49, were tracked for a 10-year period. The men with the lowest frequency of orgasm were found to have twice the risk of death from all causes, but especially from heart attack. The researchers concluded that the men with the greatest frequency of sex had a 50 percent reduction in mortality rates.

"That puts sex right up there with eating five servings of veggies a day and all the exercise you can handle," writes Dr. Edell.

Dr. Edell offers several possible explanations why sex is good for your health, including the energy expended during the activity, the overall effect of sex on your well-being and the inevitable reduction in stress that should accompany sex. He even says that there are reports of back pain and arthritis improving or disappearing during sex.

"If you ask me, pumping up your sex life to improve your health and lengthen your life sounds a lot more fun than eating sprouts or trudging on your treadmill," Dr. Edell writes.

However, if you think hitting the singles bars to find a different partner every night is the best way to develop a healthy sex life, you are not following this doctor’s orders. Dr. Edell offers a simple prescription to ensure great sex: monogamy.

"I believe the best sex can be had in monogamous relationships," Dr. Edell says. In fact, he feels a person with more than one partner is admitting that no one person gives them enough satisfaction to sit around and explore more deeply.

"People invest years in improving their golf swing but cannot see the logic dictating that something as intricate as sex can take two people lots of practice to explore and perfect,” Dr. Edell writes. “Casual relationships, one-night stands and short-term relationships cannot foster great sex."

As usual, Dr. Edell provides plenty of scientific research to support his opinion. Researchers from the University of Chicago documented that there is "more emotional satisfaction and physical pleasure in a monogamous relationship" than a person can find with multiple partners. According to Chicago's National Opinion Research Center, a connection also has been found between marriage and more and better sex. This study found that 41 percent of married couples have sex at least twice a week, which is almost double the rate for non-cohabiting people. In addition, 75 percent of the married women surveyed claimed they "always or usually" achieved orgasm during sex, compared with 62 percent of the single women.

“Sex is really a family issue,” Dr. Edell says. “Couples who enjoy great sex together are more likely to stay together. It is as simple as that.”

In his latest book, Dr. Edell describes sex as the perfect antidote for stress, depression and the complexities of modern life. “But we don't quite know the best way to communicate the fact that great sex -- the real thing, not the poor substitute seen in the movies -- is found within the context of a committed, loving relationship,” Dr. Edell writes.

Dr. Edell says the biggest reasons for this problem are the stresses of modern life and the distorted way sex is portrayed in our culture. “All we do is use sex to sell products,” Dr. Edell says. “We think we’re sexy, but we’re not.”

Dr. Edell says the blatant use of sexual images in our media does not indicate openness, and he points to the fact that these images often are used to promote products or events that have nothing to do with sex. According to Dr. Edell, the act of sex -- which should be the greatest ongoing celebration of a primary relationship -- has been twisted into nothing more than a sales and marketing tool. Meanwhile, he complains that an open discussion of sensuality is still repressed in our culture.

One survey revealed that 90 percent of physicians agreed that many serious medical problems could be averted if patients were only more willing to talk about sex and other sensitive topics. “On my radio show, I am constantly reminded how ashamed and embarrassed many people still are about sex,” Dr. Edell says.

“Women don't want to get mammograms. Guys are embarrassed to have their prostate examined. We have a real problem here, and I refuse to stop talking about it.”

This is a good topic.

About the tagalog language, why we used that in school, its bacause its not called tagalog but Filipino language, thats our national language and all filipinos need to learn that. Thats the language that every filipinos should learn. bisaya and other native languages, we've only learned at home, from our parents, friends and from the community that we live in. But now, as I've observe that, the parents doesn't teach their children bisaya, especially those from the bisaya that living abroad. Even if they're living in the philippines. Ang ila anak dili tudluan bisaya, mag english na. And naa pud ko friend, in singapore and here in Denmark, mga anak dili kamao bisaya kay wala tudlui kay wala daw gamit kay wala man sila magpuyo sa pinas. But they should teach them kay the children needs to know their other culture too.

I can say that, English language is important to us, in order for us to communicate to the outside world and to widened our horizons. Because it would be difficult for us to communicate others especially when we're living abroad.

im agree all your comments, pero ngano ang uban country progressive man bisan dili sila kamao kaau mo english, like japan, china and korea?mostly of them dont know how to speak english, the problem its not in language...sa atong government.

TEXTS and PHOTO by ERICK PHOTOMURALS of flickr.com

The Chocolate Hills are probably Bohol's most famous tourist attraction. They look like giant mole hills, or as some say, women's breasts, and remind us of the hills in a small child's drawing. Most people who first see pictures of this landscape can hardly believe that these hills are not a man-made artifact. However, this idea is quickly abandoned, as the effort would surely surpass the construction of the pyramids in Egypts. The chocolate hills consist of are no less than 1268 hills (some claim this to be the exact number). They are very uniform in shape and mostly between 30 and 50 metres high. They are covered with grass, which, at the end of the dry season, turns chocolate brown. From this color, the hills derive their name. At other times, the hills are green, and the association may be a bit difficult to make.

Legend has it that the hills came into existance when two giants threw stones and sand at each other in a fight that lasted for days. When they were finally exhausted, they made friends and left the island, but left behind the mess they made. For the more romantically inclined is the tale of Arogo, a young and very strong giant who fell in love with an ordinary mortal girl called Aloya. After she died, the giant Arogo cried bitterly. His tears then turned into hills, as a lasting proof of his grief.

However, up to this day, even geologists have not reached concensus on how they where formed. The most commonly accept theory is that they are the weathered formations of a kind of marine limestone on top of a impermeable layer of clay. If you climb the 214 steps to the top of the observation hill near the complex, you can read this explanation on a bronze plaque.

tinuod jud na! honestly wa man jud ko kabotar bisan kausa pero aware lang ghapon ko sa politics, grabe gyud kahugaw! dili man sad ta kabasol sa ato mga kababayan, syempre mokapit na lang sila sa patalim, basta kung kinsa naa kuarta maoy gamhanan...ambot anus-a kaha ta mag-usab!

General Topic / cabul-an high school!
June 02, 2007, 01:58:19 PM
hi,im from cabul-an buenavista bohol (an island) though wala ko nag-eskuyla didto ug high school coz at that time wala pa to,but im proud to say we are the first island who had a high school!pero sad to know lang kay dili quality ang pagtudlo didto!based sa ako nadunggan pirmi wala klase...pero mga good teachers ang naa didto ang problema lang kay layo kaau sila, kinahanglan mulabang pa sila ug lawod kung muoli sila sa tagsa-tagsa nila kapanimalay, busa nag board na lang sila then every weekend na lang sila muoli mao lagi na usahay wala klase  sa first day of the class.then ang mga teachers pod didto ang uban wala intawon pa sweldo labi na ang mga intern magpaabot ra sila sa bayad sa mga estudyante.so manghinaut ko na tagaan unta ni ug pagtagad..
Give a quality education now!
