It was a pleasure meeting the TB catalyst and administrator (Mr. Mike Ligalig) in Cebu ( as he's rendering son-to-parent chores for his father who is admitted at Velez Hospital ).

Dropped by to where they're billeted before noon time coming from my last phase of the business agenda.  Upon entering the room, I could felt the warmth of an impromptu reunion to one of the hall of famers in our secondary school ( 20 years my junior ).  And what relate me more is the recollection of his father that we're kumpare being the godparents to the son of the former Coast Guard Officer.

It was an hour of remisniscence as they (Mike's papa and mama) knew my mom, sisters and clan. The short meeting ended with words of thanks to the Creator and well wishes for the recovery.

To spend more time with the man behind TB, we've fetched him for a dinner at Laguna Garden Cafe & Resto in Ayala Business Park with my sis Daisy celebrating her birthday.

The place was a perfect ambience for sharing thoughts and revisiting the past (including outlook for TB),  what transpired in the recent EB in Bohol and the planned BIG EB.

But what struck me most was the good news conveyed by Mike that he is ever grateful for the outpouring support accorded by TB members even wiothout meeting personally.  Such manifestation made us dream bigger for TB. (more....)

I've taken photos during our EB... what constrained me is am mobile..(short time from one place to the other due to the nature of my visit here) besides I still have to master posting pics... could we leave it to messrs. sigbin and el mundo to update the TB world?

Really, cannot fathom my feelings that I am in a place or club (TB) whose members are full of wonders... intellect, beauty, heart,morals, humor,flexibility, humility and more.....

being one your brothers here in TB, am grateful for all of you with your self-initiative... may your specie multiplies...

in the recently concluded EB wala baya gyoy nagpasalipod sa newspaper.  It was sort of an informal discussion full of substance...si leo ra gyod ang wala mag-antipara (without a pair of eyeglasses), nangatawa gani mi kay we took pictures on 2 settings ( with and without eyeglasses ) kay ingnon baya ug mga genius.... hehehehe

Am so touched by the overwhelming support of the TB family as manifested to our Admin Mike (during my visit to his father at Velez Hospital) [as conveyed by Mike].

What surprised me, kumpare man diay nako ang papa ni Mike (duna miy kinugos long time ago), dugay man god mi wala magkita.

Just can't help mentioning that TB is really a place for people with a beautiful heart.

Why not organizing a foundation for the destitutes of Bohol?

We missed you in our EB last night ( it would have been last Friday at Miravilla Resort when I arrived from Cebu ) but Sigbin still had his final exam in Law in the following morning.

Can't help but remembering you among TB members most especially that you're one of the most dynamic as manifested in your posts...

On the BIG EB, that would be sometime mid next year onward to July (Sandugo?). will keep you posted then.

It was a pleasure meeting TB members who are respected men in their professions in Bohol.

1.  I admired the modesty and humility of Atty. Lagunay (Delaguna) that despite holding a responsible position in the present provincial government and previously with the city government, he remained humble and down-to-earth.

2.  Appreciated the efforts of Sigbin ( upcoming lawyer Mr. Paul Vistal ) for arranging the EB; for without him, it would not have been possible.

3.  For seeing Mr. Leo Udtuhan, one of the respected writers of Bohol, that even he had other commitments, he had shared his precious time with us at the Prawn Resto.

4.  I missed the presence of Fiel Arao-Arao Gabin that when we had our assembly at Bo's Cafe, she was just arms away...

5.  The difference could have been felt for sure if the beauties of Melrose and Mari graced the EB (but occupied with other priorities).

Looking forward then for the BIG EB sometime next year.. (pictures will be posted by Sigbin as mentioned).

am not yet in Bohol (nasa Manila pa, trabaho kayod), still has to accomplish my mission of the business trip.  However, I will be requesting to spend my Eid holiday as an extension of the business trip rather than coming back to Saudi and spend the Eid holiday there. ( The Holy month of Ramadan will end on Oct. 13, and there will be 4-5 days non-working day in Saudi Arabia ).  That would be an opportune time to spend time at home while am here...

Am amendable that there must be certain ethical standards to be followed, implemented to prevent deficiencies / errors that may create adverse impact to the noble ideas of TB....

Hope that being devoted could not only be manifested in numbers... but must fight for what Tubag Bohol stands for.... its visions.

why we are suspicious and with reservations, because we live in a culture of double standard morality, we live in a society of denials,superficialities that tend to shape the norms that few straight people can't evade of.. hence, we can't immerse immediately in an environment full of trust and compassion.

Mom used to accept catering among friends and neighbors in the vicinity and referrals nga taga atoa during special occasions like fiesta celebration, birthdays and holidays (christmas / new year); depende sad sa iya schedule ug energy kay tigulang na sad...

I want to share how the best dinumugan of my mom is being prepared:  there are two types of dinumugan ( from hinog nga saging ), kanang pinutos sa dahon sa saging ug pinutus sa dahon sa lubi or lukay kay gihimong puso (pero dili pareho sa kagamay pagkabuhat nga gisudlan og kan-on), it is the puso that when it is cooked, the size is equivalent to a slice bread.

how this is prepared:

panitan ang hinog nga saging, magkagod of lubi, mag-galing ug bugas,mag preprepare ug pula nga sugar.

ang hinog nga saging og lubi, galingon ug dungan, kon mahuman na ibudbod o isagul ang ginaling nga bugas sa ginaling nga saging og lubi, timplahan sa kamay. isagul ni siya tanan nga sakto ra ka lagkit.

isulod ni siya sa puso nga ginamay sa lukay o puston sa dahon sa saging. lutuon ni siya by putting little water in the pot ( like being steamed ).

kon maluto na, kuhaon ni siya sa sudlanan at ibitay in free air ( if being put in puso ) or just in plate if wrapped in banana leaf.

this is a special type of dinumugan....

for us who were toddlers then could not figure out what really happened,as we grew, it was a life of survival with no time left for vengeance... my mom had labored much for us... hence, i took the responsibility to be the head of the family.

we've gone difficult times that prompted us to move to Anda with my mom's relatives. With prayers and determination,we've surmounted the trials.

All I could say to the victims of these murders, have acceptance to the fate that transpired...don't let your dreams end with your loved one's departure...fighting justice is to give light to others and prevent the same encounter... "vengeance is not mine, God will take care the rest..."

It happened in Mabini, Bohol.  There were also stories that the death of my father was politically motivated as he was active then in politics (being an ABC President)... even composed songs for campaign sorties for the Liberal Party... my analysis, they correlate the issue of alleged infidelity with politics...

my heart bleeds for the family and relatives of the victim.  i cannot help but reflect to what happened to my father 45 years ago ( he was murdered at the young age of 32 kay gi-a an , pinagkamalan of having an illicit affair with the wife of the killer ).  I was a tiny 4 years old then with my 2 sisters at 2 years old and the other at 9 months.  My mother was widowed at the same age as my father.

Though justice was served having the killer spent 25 years in Muntinlupa, this was not enough to pay for the hardships we've gone through especially for my mother who as a single parent brought us to what we are now.

Through the years I've overcome to inflict vengeance...though maybe we've forgiven but it's not forgotten.  I have seen the killer face to face after spending his sentence... and I don't have any feeling at all towards this person...

God has His plans...after our pains, we harvested successes. All I could say is I pitied the family who killed my father ( kay looy kaayo ang nanghitabo sa ilang mga anak og pamilya ).

All I could do is only sigh...what life would be with my father around.... we haven't seen nor felt the warmth cuddle of our father... but we felt the abundant blessings from our Heavenly Father....

though we cannot generalize, but we have to teach them the proper way by communicating to them.. so they would understand.  we cannot afford to lose relationships out of petty things..

OFWs taught extended families ( relatives ) to be lazy...sus, inig uli nimo kon wala na kay ikahatag, ambot ug tagdon pa ka?? again, makasulti gyod ka ug mga ingratos, ingratas.... kun naa ka humot kaayo, kon wala ...sorry ka nalang...

today, i've learned another lesson...there should be no room for any deviations when we are organized...

am with you Ben that the impact is more felt with those who are adversely affected and those being benefitted. 

with globalization,  building a global village, no one could monopolize in the same geographic location... labor / resources are cheap elsewhere, hence, entrepreneurs are focused of being cost-effective...

you know what, we are starting to educate all overseas workers or those who had left our country... in preparing them for their return... Reintegration does not only start when you are planning to return but the day you left or arrive in another place....

am saddened to reflect that there are a lot of OFWs who had returned home and ended up nothing left and has to start again...
