Right now I am reading  (slowly as a snail due to Tubag Bohol ) Child of Two Worlds by Mugo Gatheru, an African man from the Kikuyu tribe.    This is an absorbing autobiograpy of Mugo's quest for knowledge that took him from Africa to schools in India, USA and England and back to USA.  It gives the reader an understanding of the significance of the confrontation of tribalism with urbanization and Western customs and traditions.

I got to finish this book very soon because I wanna meet the author who is now 83 years old.

I got into playing this game tonight. I donated 5,820 grains of rice!  I suppose that can feed already a couple of bowls of rice porridge.

Bem, the cake is iced first with buttercream or royal, then covered with fondant.  It's like a sugar gum paste.  Kanang flowers, sugar gum paste na sya.  The difference with gum paste and fondant, the gum paste hardens easily while ang fondant, if it's used to conver the cake, it continues to be soft.  It keeps the cake moist too.

Here's a step my step procedure on how to oven broil a fish fillet:

1. Clean the fillet and wash with cold water.  Pat dry.  (You can use any kind of fish.  In the pictures, I used Sturgeon).
2.  In a plate, drizzle olive oil and rub all over the fillet. Rub a finely minced garlic and ginger.  Generously sprinkle salt and pepper.
3.  In the baking dish, line with leaves of fennel or slices of carrots or celery or you can even use eggplant. Randomly put slices of lemon over the leaves/vegetable.  Please see pictures below:



4.  Transfer the fish in the prepared dish and drizzle lemon juice all over the fish. 



5.  Broil for about 15 to 20 minutes depending on the thickness of your fish.  For the Sturgeon that I baked, I broiled it for 20 minutes.



6.  Serve hot with salsa/sawsawan of equal parts of Lemon juice and liquid amino or soy sauce, a sprig of finely chopped cilantro, finely sliced tomatoes and a few drops of sesame oil!  yum!

Sturgeon is notably the specie of fish na gakuhaan ang roe para himuon ug caviar.
