Lorenzo,
I was so moved watching the film Phantom of the Opera. If only I will have the opportunity, I would love to see its Broadway production.

He's a priest -- he's marrying them to other people, not to himself

Not all caucasian and Hispanic women are insensitive to different cultural norms. I have an uncle (second degree cousin) who married a a white woman. His wife is extremely sensitive and has embraced the Filipino culture and even knows some words. So dili pood tanan.
I've dated Argentine, Puerto Rican and Spanish girls in the past and one thing that I can relay is that they are very orthodox and conservative. As in Roman Catholic, very religious and devout, and hold strong cultural roots.
Some long conversations would be similarities and differences between Filipino culture and theirs. More similar than different, btw.
Just my view.

I achieved something today, my workout

I can't stand women that criticize family members. If a gf of mine ever starts to criticize my father or mother or my siblings in a negative way; it is over.
If she gets along with my mother and my sister; then that is a sign. However, she must receive blessing from my mother.

Instead of saying, "Please put your dirty socks in the laundry basket," they exclaim,"You do nothing but make a big mess of this house just because you have a 7-day 24-hour maid."
Instead of saying, "Let's go out for coffee, just the two of us," they'd say, "You're as cold as ice, you're getting harder to live with, you have time for everything and everyone else except me."

I noticed the question was about men now we must be equal in a democratic sense.
The table has turned and there is the question as asked about men.
