What can we expect from a nation whose Communist Government endorses State-supported abortion and a nation that has unprecedented high rates of female infantacide?

Their government sees the people as something easily manipulated. Luoy lang pod ang mga Chinese people who are ruled by such a government with deplorable human rights abuses cases. Tan awa ang mga Tibetans sa Tibet, they are even adopting self imolation to protest the CCP's anti-religious and racist policies against ethnic Tibetans and all non-Han people.

In a typical city, every government district is asked to test and assess children from ages 8 to 13, and select candidates for sports schools. Children that show promise move on to bigger government training academies when they are teenagers.

Doctors measure height, arm span, bone density, flexibility and other things to predict what a child will be like in the future. X-rays and bone tests are used to determine bone density and structure and predict future growth.

Children demonstrating exceptional flexibility and balance are sent to gymnastics and diving camps. Tall children are sent to volleyball and basketball camps. Those with quick reflex are guided into ping pong. Kids with long arms are pushed into swimming or javelin throwing. Those with shorts arms make ideal weightlifters. Potential archers are picked on the basis of a test of steady nerves in which they are asked to spread their palm and stack as many .22 caliber bullets as they can on top of one another. Ideal candidates can stack eight or more bullets. Only those that can that can stack six or more are even looked at. Strong shoulders, superior vision and a cool demeanor are viewed as desirable attributes for archery.

Luoy pod intawn ang bata. It pains me to see that children are indoctrinated like this in China's society -- it reminds me of a book I once read about the grueling experiences of Chinese child actors had to go through during their training in Peiking Opera.

Seeing picture like these -- bothers me. Ma sakit pod atong dughan og maka kita ta ing ani. Especially kai pariho raba ang nawong ning bataa sa ahoang igsoong gamay, si Andre. :(

MANILA, Philippines - As part of the modernization of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), the military plans to acquire a dozen South Korean-made fighter jets in the coming months.

Twelve TA-50 fighter jets from South Korea, each costing P1.25-B, will arrive in the Philippines by 2013, ABS-CBN News reported Wednesday, June 20.

The total cost will be P25 billion, or around US $ 591 million.

The TA-50 aircraft is based on the T-50 supersonic trainer jet, and, according to Yonhap News, is a "full-fledged attack platform" that can carry precision-guided weapons.

The fighter jet is part of the T-50 family of aircraft, developed by the Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. The T-50 family is touted as the "only 21st century supersonic advanced trainer and light attack jet."

The TA-50 has an embedded radar and reinforced weapon capacity compared to the original T-50 model, and is said to be fitted with machine guns and AIM-9 Sidewinder weapons, and can carry bombs and AGM-65 Maverick missiles. It was first built last year.

The acquisition of the fighter jets is part of the P70 billion modernization plan for the Armed Forces of the Philippines under the current administration.

The planes will be part of the aging and minimal PAF fleet, which currently only has 2, 25-year-old S-211 trainer jets and an unusable F-5 fighter jet.

Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin told ABS-CBN News that beefing up the country's air defense capabilities is needed to strengthen not just the fleet but also our image abroad.

Last month, President Benigno Aquino III said the government has been planning to purchase fighter jets made outside the United States.

Back in April, the country requested aircraft, patrol boats and radar systems from the US military to help it achieve "minimum credible defense."

Botoy is proud of his dark skin.

There are benefits to having darker skin tone. The melanocytes, which are cells located in the epidermis, are responsible for producing melanin, which is what gives one's color and tone. The benefits of melanin is that it protects the body against UV's damaging effects.

Individuals who have lighter skin are more prone to having skin cancer than those who are darker skinned.

Legazpi City â€" Naval Forces Southern Luzon (NFSL) recently (July 4, 2012) rendered military honors to Queen Sofia of Spain during her official visit to Albay. She was accorded with Side Boys Honors upon arrivals and departure at Legazpi City Airport and as Military Host, Commodore Abraham F Celzo AFP, Commander of NAVFORSOL had the honor to receive and escort Queen Sofia.

Her Majesty arrived at the Legazpi Airport at 8:45 a.m. onboard the Presidential plane (Fokker F28) from Manila amid the warm and festive welcome of Albayanos dancers and children.

The official visit marked only the second time that a foreign dignitary visited the province since Pope John Paul II in 1981. During her stay, Her Majesty visited Spanish government funded projects through AECID particularly the Evacuation Center at Camalig, Albay, Jose Belmonte Duran Memorial Hospital at Ligao and Climate Change Academy in Bicol University.

NAVFORSOL Public Affairs Team was designated as Media Affairs Team who worked hand in hand with Media Accreditation and Relations Office (MARO) from Malacañan to ensure smooth coordination and support for the members of the media who covered the event. “We’re glad that even before we came in, the Media Affairs Team has already set-up preparations and accreditation of media. Naging mas madali ang naging trabaho natin at pakikipag-usap sa mga media. Maraming salamat (NAVFORSOL)” said Charry Mantala of MARO. Apart from providing military honors and handling of media affairs, NAVFORSOL also augmented security during the visit.

When I was walking down the isle at ICM mall at Tagbilaran, I remember hearing a conversation between a mother and her daughter. The daughter apparently was an honors student at high school and the mother was congratulating her on her academic success. Out of no where, the father of the daughter said laughingly, "Bright lagi ka, day, pero itomon jamo ka uy!"

I could not even believe that the father would say something so hijacking to his own daughter. As a customer purchasing some clothing supplies for my relatives, I was shocked at hearing this conversation happening across from me. The daughter was reduced to tears. And the father kept on laughing.

hello, manoh.  nice of you to drop by.

"pearl" must be a brand of a whitening cream, right?  let me check where it's made and whether or not its mercury content is tolerable.  i hope such data are available on the internet highway.  or would you care to post here the ingredients of this whitening cream that you're endorsing?

there are just too many whitening products out there that are dangerous because of mercury poisoning.  most of these are made in china and india.  we can't be too careful, you know.  so yes, if by chance any tblander would wish to whiten her face no matter if her arms are checkered, do check the mercury content.

Isles, some of these whitener creams have toxic ingredients and can actually damage the integumentary system.

This is an interesting thread. In the Philippines , I was amazed that a lot of women use whitening lotions/ soaps / creams. When my friend Don asked me about this , he said, "Why do the women in the Philippines wear those? They're already drop dead gorgeous with their tan skin. Why wear nasty creams for?"

Are they embarrassed of their natural morena beauty?

1. yes, increased venous pressure can cause slight numbness in the area affected.
2. laser therapy is actually the best choice for spider veins

invasive ba ang procedures pagtangtang sa varicose?

It depends on the procedure, bai bags. Laser therapy is not invasive, but sends high frequency light to pulverize the superficial veins located within the dermis -- this will close -- the veins and reduce the venous pressure.

Ambulatory phlebectomy (the surgical removal of veins), however, is invasive, but it is superficial, so there is no threat of going deep. Prior to surgery, we usually give our patients prophylactic IV antibiotics to reduce the propensity of bacterial infection.

Dali ra kaayo ang procedure, bai bags. Outpatient procedure man ni sila duha.

Sleep is a fundamental component of animal biology. New evidence confirms that, in humans, its timing reflects intelligence.
